What is dt in a transfer block H(s), rate limiter? what factors decide it?

this dt is dependant on what? i have a lot of transfer functions H(s), rate limiters, integrators in my vi.all of them are in a while loop.the while loop takes 0.065ms for 1 iteration. so is my dt this? when i used this value i dont get the correct response.please help. explain me how to set this.just dont give me a simple answer that it is sampling frequency dependant.plz.iam attaching my vi.

Hi,
dt is the time interval which determines the step size of the numerical integration. If you have multiple Tranfer Function VIs (or any VI with dt input) in the same loop, you need to use the same time interval value (dt) for all of them. Please take a look at the attached VI that simulates a closed loop control system. I hope it helps.

  • DPM transfer block size

I am setting a DPM 2010 and am using a MSA 2000 for storage.  The MSA best practice suggest setting up the virual disk chunk size to match the transfer block size of the application using it.  Available chunk size include: 16 Kbyte, 32 Kbyte,
64 Kbyte.  64 Kbyte is the default on the MSA.  Does anyone know what DPM transfer block size is?

DPM requests the data size at file system level, so there are many layers before it reaches storage/hardware devices so it may get changed at any place. In any case most of the DPM operations are at 16Kbytes block size. Thanks, Praveen D [MSFT] This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.

  • Standard movement to transfer blocked batches to a different plant/center

I am trying to transfer blocked batches to a different plant/center where it is (from 2000 to 3000). Is there any standard movement which allows to move blocked batches to another plant/center without unblocking them?
    Thank you in advance.

    Prerequisites
For materials handled in batches, you can carry out stock transfers from plant to plant and from storage location to storage location as well as transfer postings from material to material.
An issuing batch and a receiving batch are always involved in a stock transfer or transfer posting of a batch material. The issuing batch number is copied as the receiving batch number (except in the case of a plant-to-plant stock transfer in two steps). The batch number can, however, still be changed.
    Stock Transfers in Two Steps
In a stock transfer from plant to plant using the two-step procedure, you enter only the receiving plant for the removal from storage. The stock in transfer is managed only at plant level in the receiving plant, independent of storage location and batches. You must enter the receiving storage location and the receiving batch when you post the placement into storage.
In a stock transfer from storage location to storage location using the two-step procedure, the receiving storage location and the receiving batch are already determined during the removal from storage.
After posting the removal from storage, the quantity is in stock in transfer. Stock in transfer is managed at plant level, as well as at storage-location level and batch level. As a consequence, you must enter the same receiving batch for the placement into storage. If you do not know the batch, enter * in the Batch field. The batch selection list is displayed. This list displays the stock in transfer for the batches in the Stock column.
    Procedure
You can post a transfer from batch to batch by entering a different batch for a stock transfer using the one-step procedure. To do this, proceed as follows:
From the Inventory Management menu, select Goods movement ® Transfer posting.
Maintain the data on the initial screen. Choose one of the following movement types:
u2013 Movement type ® Transfer posting ® Plant to plant ® Remove from storage/place in storage
u2013 Movement type ® Transfer posting ® Stor. loc. to stor. loc. ® Unrestr. to unrestr.
u2013 Movement type ® Transfer posting ® Material to material
To maintain the items directly on the item detail screen instead of on the collective entry screen, select Edit ® New item.
On the detail screen, you can enter an issuing and a receiving batch.
    Post the document.
In a transfer posting to a new batch, batch data (such as shelf life expiration date or vendor) is copied to the new batch. Classification data is copied as well.
In a transfer posting to an already existing batch, the data of the existing batch is retained.
Transfer Postings From Batch to Batch, With Status Management
In a transfer posting to a new batch, the new batch is given the status unrestricted use (even if the issuing batch has the status restricted use), unless the restricted-use status has been predefined by Quality Management.

  • Transfer blocked stock between plants.

    Hi everyone !
Pls. I need to transfer blocked stock from plant A to plant B.
The point is stock must be blocked in plant A and then I have to transfer to plant B, but stock must always be blocked just to avoid the selling process.
Thanks a lot for help !
    Regards.

if you want do it with SD deliveries, then the answer is: not possible
    but pure MM movements........
By changing the field selection for movement type 325 you can open the field 'receiving plant'. this will then allow a plant to plant movement of blocked stock. Whether you should do it or not is of course up to you.
I doupt that it is possible to do a 2-step movement for blocked or QI stock, because the 303 post the quantity to transfer stock. And transfer stock has no sub categories like QI or blocked. It is on the same level.
There is an OSS note 448761, it is for another transaction, but it might help you a bit to understand.
amongst other things following is said:
There are not two-step movement types for blocked stock since no stock in transit, quality inspection exists .

  • What factors should be taken into account for Custom Exceptions

    hi,
I just want to know that What factors should be taken into account for making Custom Exceptions.
    any examples will appreciated.
    regards,
    vjoy

Do you want this to be checked exception? If so extend it from Exception or subclass of it. If it is unchecked exception (not forced by javac to be caught by callers), then extend it from RuntimeException or subclass of it. Exceptions are serializable objects and so have serialVersionID field. Also, to allow for exception chaining, define a constructor that accepts "cause" (http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/docs/guide/lang/chained-exceptions.html)

  • Transfer block of plant to another plant

    Dear all
i want to transfer one material from block of storage location of plant to block of storage location of another plant, please guide me which one movement type should i use in transaction MIGO?
    best regards

    Cross-Plant Stock Transfer
In the case of a plant-to-plant stock transfer, the plants between which material is
transferred can belong either to the same company code or to different ones. As a
general rule, cross-plant stock transfers can only be booked out of unrestricted-use
    stock.
In the one-step procedure, the goods issue and goods receipt are posted in a single
material document. You must therefore enter all relevant data, such as the material,
issuing plant, issung storage location, receiving plant, and receiving storage
location in this one step. The movement type (in the standard system) is 301.
In the case of the two-step procedure, when removing the material from storage
(movement type 303), you must specify the receiving plant in addition to the
material and the issuing organizational levels. This is necessary because valuation
of the stock transfer takes place when the material is removed from storage
and posted to stock in transfer at the receiving plant. You can either enter the
putaway (placement in storage, movement type 305) with reference to the material
document of the stock removal or enter all data manually. As a result of the
putaway, the quantity is booked out of stock in transfer and into unrestricted-use
stock at the receiving plant. Valuation of the putaway is not necessary, since the
stock in transfer and the unrestricted-use stock at the receiving storage location
    belong to the same plant.
If you use STO, you can also post the
material to stock in quality inspection or to blocked stock.

    Hi,
Kindly let me know the procedure to transfer the blocked stock from one storage location to other storage location within a plant.
    Regards

I guess you have to convert it to unrestricted type before you can transfer, then reconvert it back to blocked.
    Not too sure.

  • How to set movement or transfer block during Physical Inventory

    Hello Team,
I was wondering if someone could help with how to set
Material Movement block for the entire plant during physical inventory.
    I will appreciate any input.

The inventory process in general in equal.
creating document - printing documents - counting - enter count - (recount) - post difference.
It is just the step of creating documents which differs between MI01 and MI31.
MI01 wants that the user to enters the material to be counted manually.
While in MI31 you have a huge selection screen, that allows you to create inventory documents for several location at the same time, while SAP  takes the materials according to your selection criterias.
MI31 can be executed to create the documents directly or by batch input, in earlier releases it was only possible thru batch input.

  • Transfer Blocked stk to Quality stock & then post some quantity to sample

After the stock came to quality, they want to post some quantity to sample also. can anybody tell me
how i can achieve this ?
    Thanks
    pabi

    Hello,
To post the stock from block stock to quality stock you can use movement type 349
    Go to MB1B.
Enter movement type as 349, plant as per your setting and storage location.
Now press enter and enter the material  and save. This will move stock from block stock to quality inpscetion stock
Now to issue stock for sampling you have to use movement type 331 in T-code MB1B

  • Log and transfer not changing frame rate to slow motion on P2 cards...

    Hello.
I swear I have done this before on final cut studio 2 and it came out correctly, but for some reason this time, either myself or the computer is making an error. (chances are it's me).
Basically, I'm logging and transferring footage that was shot on P2 at 50 fps, and my intention is to import it at 23.98 fps. I thought this is something that naturally happens in the log and transfer process, but i guess not?
My project was set up via easy set up at panasonic dvcproHD frame rate 23.98... and I'm logging an d transferring directly into my browser but the f frame rate stays at 50 fps. (footage was shot in England to be incorporated into a video already shot in America).

I thought this is something that naturally happens in the log and transfer process, but i guess not?
Your guess is right...it DOES NOT slow it down upon injest. ONLY if you set the camera up to shoot 720p25 and then choose the 50 frame rate (I hear this is what you do...I am not a camera guy, so...), then it will import slowed down. But you have to set the camera up CORRECTLY. The first time I imported slow mo, it was 60p...and I had to use the Frame Rate Converter to slow the clips. Then my camera guy figured out the setting in camera and BOOM...there it was.
So...I guess you are NOT wrong...actually. It just needs to be set up IN CAMERA in order to do what you want.
and I don't know if the Frame Rate Converter works for PAL footage...stupid, but...no...Stupid.

  • Triggering of price block for lower tolerance limits

    Hi.....
I have defined tolerances for invoice verification using tolerance key PP (path: spro --> Material Management --> Logistics Invoice Verification --> Invoice Block --> Set Tolerance Limits). Our system is correctly blocking invoices when it comes to upper limits. However, when I post an invoice outside the lower limits, system is giving me a warning but it is not blocking the invoice. It simple posts the invoice despite the difference.
Where in customizing can you define that exceeding lower limits, also should lead to a block?
    Kind regards
    Jacob

    Hi Jacob,
in SAP standard the Invoice is only blocked if it is above the upper limit. If it is below the lower limit it will only issue a warning message:
In SAP Library: MM-Invoice with Variances-Tolerances you will also find the following explanation:
".. If the variance is outside the tolerance limit, the system displays this in a warning message. If you do not adjust your entries, you can still post the invoice. If, however, the upper tolerance limit is exceeded, the system automatically blocks the invoice for payment."
Usually you can be fine with the lower payments, it is the Vendor who should be afraid but If you anyway need to have that block I think the only way is to develop.
    Let me know if useful.
    cheers, MM

  • What factors can cause a Proj file to open Dirty (LV 2009) ?

I have a project that was previously developed in LV 8.5.
When opening it in LV 2009, it opens dirty (asterick indicating something has changed).
Save All THis Project clears the asterisk.
Close and re-open the project again opens dirty.
Closing without saving gives the message "Save Changes" and
List unsaved changes... shows the project itself is what wants to be saved and the "Changes" only says "An attribute of the project was changed."
    So....
What could I be doing wrong that is causing the proj to open dirty?

In fact, I must be blind because I work on a project started nearly 2 years ago, started in LV8.2 and now in LV8.5.1 and I see only now (by your question) that each time I load my project I have an asterick as you.
None VI are marked as asterix, only the project.

  • What factors affect encoding speed the most?

    Hello everyone,
I am actually quite happy with the encoding speed to DVD formats. I was under the impression that encoding was "real-time". Encoding a 1 hour long PAL 48kHz capture from VHS to DVD only took ~30m.
I opened the task manager and noticed that both cores of my Athlon X2 5400 were running flat out during this process. Thus I take it encoding can utilise multiple cores.
    My questions are:
If I upgrade to a Quad core CPU what performance increase would I see with the encoding example above? 15m?
What influence does hyperthreading have -if any?
Do you expect that PE8 will support nVidia CUDA at some stage? I notice that the latest Roxio software does.
Will the encoding slow down dramatically when I start working with HD content?
Do any of the Matrox hardware encoders work with PE8? They only seem to support Premiere CS4
    I have SATA-II RAID 0, 2GB RAM, AMD Athlon X2 5400+ and XP SP3
    Justin.

Export and Rendering speed can also be affected by one's I/O sub-system, i.e. your HDD's (Hard Disk Drives), their speed, amount of free space, the controller type and how you have these HDD's allocated.
With the exception of AVCHD, which Steve mentions, having separate physical HDD's (not partitions - logical drives), will speed things up greatly, as all operations on the computer, access to the OS, the program, the media files and then outputting from the program, will be spread over several HDD's. If you only have one physical HDD, everything has to flow through one "pipeline," and this adds significant time to the processes. Having partitions will slow things down even more, and can even cause hangs, because the OS "thinks" that it has multiple HDD's to use, but only has one. It cannot understand what's taking so long, and grows impatient.
With AVCHD, the CPU is used much more than even the I/O sub-system, and becomes the most important link in the chain.
Good luck, and let us know all about your HDD's, their number, size, speed, controller type, say SATA II, and how you have these allocated.

  • Howto block the refresh rate ?

    Hello,
I am having a display issue with my monitor. It doesn't displays specific refresh rates so that I cannot anything when starting my mini mac. I know it checks on boot what monitor is connected to have the best display.
Actually I am using an old 15'' to force 60Hz display before plugin my IIyama monitor. It is annoying.
Anyone knows how to prevent this problem? Is there a solution whitout buying another monitor? I juste want to fix the refresh rate and don't let it detect on bootup.
    Thanks in advance.

AFAIK, there is no way to specifically stop Mac OS from detecting a display. That would be a handy feature in cases like yours.
The best thing I can think to do is to make a VNC connection between your mini and another computer. In this way you should be able to make a useable resolution selection on the mini from the other computer. Once you do this, it will stay that way for good.
