  • What is the use of  fox formula in integrated planning

what is the use of  fox formula in integrated planning

    Hi,
just as a follow up - the FOX Extension Formula capability of the IP in BW is as others have mentioned - to help develop formulas to execute calculations during planning, forecasting, budgeting, etc. - it allows consultants, like myself, to develop these formulas without the help of an ABAP consultant - but creates ABAP programs behind the scenes.
You can also use these ABAP programs separate from the IP component - once you create a FOX formula you can retrieve the ABAP program and then use it for other activities.
With the FOX you can use variables in a formula, call another ABAP program, generate loops of data both master and transactional, allows IF, THEN statements, and a number of other activiities. There is a limit to the usefulness of the FOX formula process - you may find if the FOX formula is too complex or long that your process will run slowly during the calculations. If this is occurring you will need to debug your ABAP program to see if you can increaase the performance.
Thanks and hope this helps, Pete

  • What are the standard functions in XI ?

What are the standard functions in XI ?

    Hi,
The target field mapping is possible by using below typs of functions
    1. Standard functions
    2. Runtime procedure
    3. User Defined functions
Standard functions are the APIs provided in Graphical mapping to process the values of the fields used for target field mapping.
Technically all these values are trated as string thus all standard functions expect strings as input argument and string as an export aurgument

  • What are the different functions used in sap script?

    Hi,
What are the different functions used in sap script? What are the parameters used in each Function?
    Regards,
    Mahesh

he print program is used to print forms. The program retieves the necesary data from datbase tables, defines the order of in which text elements are printed, chooses a form for printing and selects an output device and print options.
    Function modules in a printprogram:
When you print a form you must used the staments OPEN_FORM and CLOSE_FORM. To combine forms into a single spool request use START_FORM and END_FORM.
To print textelements in a form use WRITE_FORM. The order in which the textelements are printed, is determined by the order of the WRITE_FORM statements. Note: for printing lines in the body, you can also use the WRITE_FORM_LINES function module.
To transfer control command to a form use CONTROL_FORM.
    Structure of a print program
    Read data
    Tables: xxx.
    SELECT *
    FROM xxx.
Open form printing - Must be called before working with any of the other form function modules.
Must be ended with function module CLOSE FORM

To begin several indentical forms containing different data within a single spool request, begin each form using START_FORM, and end it using END_FORM

Write text elements to a window of the form
    call function 'WRITE_FORM'.....

  • Unable to write a formula in query designer

    Hi Experts,
while writing a formula in query designer in development system there is an error.
    Formula is:
    Grand total =1
when i write in the rows it is throwing the sytax error like " General syntax error in formula"
But the same formula has been written in production( this query is not available in development so that i am designing the same query in the development system).
some one give me an idea.
    Thanks

    Hi,
As i checked with implementation team and they have written the formula it has been assigned like Grand Total = 1.
i.e. Grand Total assign to 1.(But it is not Grand Total == 1).
    Thanks for your support.
    Thx

  • Technical name for formula in query designer

    Hi,
We have created some formulas in Query Designer.
We tried to assign the technical names to these existing formulas, it goes away as the save button on the top of the pop up is disabled.
Is there a way to assign technical names of the formulas created in the query designer.
    Regards,
    Charu

    Charu Pandey,
Formulas are local, means available for particular queries only. No technical name.
Create Calculated keyfigures instead of formulas..., so you can save with technical names.
To display technical name in query, give discription same as technical name.
    Hope it Helps

  • Some problems with the count function

    Hi Guys,
I am trying to return following:
    2009 GUESTS NIGHTS between 1 and 5 = 80 guests
    2009 GIESTS NIGHTS between 5 and 10 = 100 guest
Whe I use the combine with a similar report option (union), I issue the following query:
    SELECT saw_0 saw_0, saw_1 saw_1, saw_2 saw_2, saw_3 saw_3 FROM ((SELECT Resort.Resort saw_0, Time."Year" saw_1, "Non Revenue Facts".Nights saw_2, count(Guests."Guest Name") saw_3 FROM GUEST WHERE "Non Revenue Facts".Nights BETWEEN 1 AND 5 GROUP BY saw_1, saw_2, saw_0) UNION (SELECT Resort.Resort saw_0, Time."Year" saw_1, "Non Revenue Facts".Nights saw_2, count(Guests."Guest Name") saw_3 FROM GUEST WHERE "Non Revenue Facts".Nights BETWEEN 1 AND 5)) t1 GROUP BY saw_1, saw_2, saw_0 , saw_3 ORDER BY saw_0
The query return just the results for nights between 1 and 5.
I need two columns showing the count of the guests with nights till 5 and one other column showing the count of the guests with nights from 5 to 10.
Any help would be really appreciated.
    Regards
    Giuliano

Sorry I did not get this.
I should still use the union statement and than build the below function in the nights fields?
What I am trying to achieve is simply how many guests do i have with at least 1 night and max 5 nights
and how many guests i have with at least 5 nights and a max of 10 nights.
    I should have 2 columns:
    1 label Nights between 1 and 5
    2 label Nights beween 5 and 10
the count(guests) column should than show how many guests in the first range and how many in the second.
    Regards

btw one of the nice things about java is if you can't find the answer
in the API or you are not sure what the API is saying you can always
look at the source for the class your are looking at. the source files
are in a file called src.zip or src.jar depending on the version.
anyway just to make sure i understood i looked at the properties method

  • What is the equivalent function or combination of functions for the following ASYST code

I'm translating a program from AYSYT (very old out-of-date language)to LABVIEW. Thanks to the help from you guys. I have done 99% of my work. But I still have a small question to ask for help. Dose any body know what function or combination of functions in LABVIEW is equivalent to the folowing ASYST code: 0.5 set cut off frequency MOB(array used in the program) smooth.
After reading the ASYST MANUAL, I know "smooth" is to apply some kind window(e.g. BALCKMAN).but LABVIEW doesn't have the "smooth"function

I got strange result after using balckman window.
the xy-graphs of my data before and after using blackman
window are posted here. the magnitude and the peaks all changed after using blackman window.the peaks magnitude decreased more than ten times. The original ASYST code gives only a little bit lower peak after smoothing(4.2e-6 is the highest peak before smoothing, while 3.6e-6 is the smoothed highest peak).

if you're planning on coming here getting the forum to re-write all your awt code in swt bit by bit, forget it. as far as I know, there's only 2 or 3 people who post here that know swt, and nobody's in the business of rewriting code on other people's behalf anyway. the swt documentation that comes with eclipse, plus the javadocs for swt, are more than good enough for you to manage this
