What sample rate does the 2 channel oscilloscope example (solution wizards labview 5.1 ) acquire data at?

I am using labview 5.1 and a DAQCard1200. I chose the Solutions Wizard from the LabView starting window. I followed the steps and selected a DAQ based 2 channel oscilloscope. I chose to program scales etc. myself rather than use the virtual channels. My question is, in this program, when I change the timebase, am I changing the sampling rate? What is the sampling rate for that matter? Is it set to the DAQCard maximum? Does it change if I only set one channel to be active? I threw in some code so that I could take a snapshot of the data, but I end up with 2 columns of voltage data but no idea what the sampling rate was. Makes it very difficult to perform any frequency
analysis.

Hi, here's a simple program i did a few years ago. Just remember the daq cards only go up to about 100khz(assuming they have'nt changed) max sampling frequency, so your highest frequency will be 50khz to stop aliasing. This proram will let u select your sampling rate and let u select the number of scans to be aquired. I do not know if the spectrum analyzer side will be any use to u, but its there if u need it.

  • What refresh rates does the Macbook Pro 2011 support? (Internal Display)

While I know you used to be able to change the refresh rate via General Settings, now you have to use an app or probably something terminal related.
Ignoring this, I just got a new 2011 MBP when my old one couldn't be fixed and after having the display/resolution upgraded I noticed that, when scrolling webpages, there is a bit of... I dunno, ghosting or something? Nothing that indicates there is a problem with the display or card, but it's something that could probably be fixed by a stronger refresh rate.
So my question is as the subject states. What is supported? I read 60 and 75 is typical for Apple, but I want confirmation. Remember, internal display, not external.
    Thanks!

For some reason Displays no longer shows that information, so I don't know what it is. However, the last time I saw the information on a 2009 MBP it was 75.
I'd think there is a utility around that might provide the info like Display Maestro 1.1.7 or SwitchResX.

  • What is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

what is the best way to deal with different audio sample rates on the same timeline ?

You don't have to do anything special. If possible, start your project with a clip that has the desired target frame rate and audio sample rate, and your project parameters will be set automatically. Other sample rates will be converted under the covers.
For example, if your video is shot at 48khz, you can add music files at 44.1khz with no problem.
If you are recording audio that you want to synch with video (multicam), you will get best results if everything is 48khz, but you can use 44.1 if that is all you have. Once I forgot to reset my Zoom to 48,000 and it still worked.

  • Sample rate off the audio input and out devices do not match - what to do?

This is fundamental, I know, but nevertheless I can't find my way around it. I get this error message when trying to recor:
Sample rate off the audio input and out devices do not match
and am asked to do this:
Use the appropriate operating system or audio device control panel to adjust the sample rates of the input and output devices to use the same settingt.
I have defined the sample rate to 44.1/16 bit in accordance with my inbuild soundcardt.
I am trying to record from LineIn.
When running on a M-Audio sound card I don't face any problems.

You're sure you have set BOTH the input and output settings to 44.1 16 bit?
Which version of Windows are you running?  There are a number of posts on this forum about how to fully access both the Windows Mixer and the Mixer for your soundcard.  Especially, you need to ensure that all "Windows Sounds" are turned OFF.

  • Different Sampling rates for different channels in Analog Input

    Hi,
I would like to acquire data at different sampling rates on different channels say ACH 0, ACH 1 and so on. I have a PCI 6052E board and NI DAQ 6.9.2. Also is it possible to simultaneously perform Analog output on two different channels along with the Analog input? What will be the problems/consequences as far as the system resources are concerned. I am a beginner in this area and would greatly appreciate any help/pointers for my queries.
    Thanking you in advance
    Deepak

Search the eaxamples that ship with LV.
Theer is one called simultaneous input and output or something like that.
    It will get you started.
re: multiple scan rates. This is acoomplished by sampling all channels at the highest rate and throw away the expttra samples you do not need.

  • Project sample rate vs the audio interface clock

I used Audition for digitizing archival audio and I mostly work in 96 kHz because it's the current archival standard for analog audio, however I occasionally need to transfer DAT or ADAT tapes at 44.1 or 48 kHz. One thing I noticed when I went to change the project format was that my audio interface clock did not change and match the multitrack settings. I was able to change the clock manually but I had to go to the Audio Hardware preferences.
I find this behavior for a DAW very strange. If I have a multitrack open of one bit rate and my clock set to another, how does that work? How does Audition 6 play and record audio at differnt sample rates than the interface clock? When I open a multitrack that's 96 kHz and my clock is set to 48, what sample rate am I getting? The audio file being saved says 96 kHz but is it?

If true, this is indeed strange. I have used just about every DAW under the sun for the last 10 years based on what my employer purchased and I have never seen a DAW allow you to record sample rates where the project didn't match the incoming clock.
There should be an option that locks the audio interface internal clock to the opened project. It makes it annoying any time I have to switch between recording in 96 kHz to 48 kHz. That's annoying on it's own right, but what's really annoying is that it's an extra step that I have to train our archival technicians who don't have a techical background in audio.
I can definitely say it's true for my set-up!
Surely, the "extra step" you refer to is not necessary if AA is resampling the audio to match the desired sample rate?
As for the "option" to "lock the audio interface clock to the opened project", for those cards, like mine, which cannot have their sample rate changed by the audio software, how is that going to work?  I suspect this was how AA CS5.5 and earlier worked: unless session/project and interface sample rate matched, no audio.  I much prefer the current "resampling" method; no necessity to have to think about soundcard/interface settings every time a different sample rate is being used.
FWIW, if I want to record something at 44.1 I always ensure the card and AA settings are 44.1; but for "playback" (or video editing which I do quite a lot of and which requires 48 - my video editor software will not "play" unless the audio sampling rate of the card is 48 - ) 48 is my "default" setting.

  • What Frame Rate does Catalyst export .SWF at?

What Frame Rate does Catalyst export .SWF at?
When I import a SWF file from Catalyst into another flash program, won't display never mind play, the error I get is that the frame rates don't match,
therefore I need to know what  frame rate it exports at?

If you have a SWF created by Catalyst, and you're using that SWF in something you're creating with Flash Builder or Flash Pro, then I think frame rate shouldn't matter. But maybe if you can give more details I could help more... Which flash program are you importing the SWF into, what commands or code are you using to do the import? Is there an error message or alert, if so what does it say? Any info you can provide will be helpful.
    Thanks

  • Dumb question. what on earth does the fios tv button do?

what on earth does the fios tv button do?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

When you are watching a live TV show or VOD, pretty much the same thing as the OK button, it displays the program banner at the bottom of the screen.
When you are watching a recorded program on the DVR however, it will suspend whatever you are watching and switch to the live TV channel that you were last watching.(works on the DVR itself, I have no idea what it does in the multi-room environment as I do not have that service)
It does not do any of the other things that hitting the OK button does as far as I know (like navigating the Menu, etc).
That is all I know about the FiOS TV button

  • What frame-rate does your computer play 1080p video?

At what frame-rate do the Intel iMacs play 1080p videos? You can test this by doing a Get-Info while the clip is playing. The info window will show how many fps (frames per second) of video is being displayed.
Here's a link to some video clips, be sure to choose 1080p (not 720p or 480p):
    http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/
    -thanks

My 17" Intel Core Duo 1.83 has no trouble playing the 1080 p at 24 fps, it ranges from 23.5 to 24.5 depending on the scene etc. Processor cores running at 60%.
The lower resolution 1080p (it said 1080p but was 1440 by 1080) Didn't even stutter (stayed at 24 fps) when I opened MS Word in Rosetta mode. Even opening Excel, FireFox, iTunes, and iPhoto at the same time and it dropped to 23 fps for about half a second and rebounded to 25.5 fps before settling back at 24 fps.
The true 1080p (1920x1080) dropped to 18 or 20 fps when other applications were opened. I should point out that these tests were run when the video was still downloading. And in some of the very high speed scenes it would drop to 18 or 20 frames/second for a short time (hardly noticeable). Other applications were running during this time as well. This was the 1080p version of http://www.apple.com/quicktime/guide/hd/higherground.html
I should point out in 1080p the window is too large to fit on the screen of the 17" monitor. For the test I ran it with the image partially off the screen so it is running at native resolution (however it runs just as fast at any window size). 1080p is 1920 x 1080, so I imagine this is why the 20" is recommended for 1080p. If you have QuickTime Pro you can watch it full screen mode.

My apologies, I read your post the wrong way. I see now that the original poster was confused about the specs and you were simply responding with the appropriate info.
I've gotten defensive after reading the forums. The forums are full of posters just looking to prove someone wrong or stupid, rather than being helpful. I shouldn't have assumed you were one of those people. Sorry.
I did my homework and discovered that my PowerPC will run Leopard. It can be purchased for $129 by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE. This is much cheaper than replacing my laptop.
I hope to upgrade my Mac soon, though! Can't believe this thing is still ticking. I love Apple.

  • Problem doing the cue card examples

i am doing the cue card example 'Build a Fusion Application' and all is going well and i have reached Part 2 and step 4 ie.->Create an Edit Page.
I am following the steps as specified but on the steps specified in this particular (step 4) , something has occurred that is not specified on the instructions ie. after creating the editOrders.jspx page, the page is a blank one as mentioned, and after that step the instructions is ""In the editor window, click the editOrders.jspx tab to make the page the active window, if necessary. In the Structure window, expand f:view then select af:document." I cannot do this step as there was no such thing on the Structure window. There was only "jsp:root" and no other things ie.no drop down
Also while creating the Browe page, the page default extension was *.jsff and i change to browseOrders.jspx but the final page name was. browseOrders.jspx.jsff and i Refractored to browseOrders.jspx. so can i use the default .jsff or .jspx ?

    so pls correct.
the page default extension was *.jsff > you chooses the some jsf fragment in new gallery
i change to browseOrders.jspx > dont do like this
but the final page name was.
browseOrders.jspx.jsff > if you want jspx means choose jsfpage > in that small check box will appears shows it term it as untitled1.jspx
and i Refractored to browseOrders.jspx. > refactor option is for change the naming convention. not the file type.

  • How to store the sampling rate into the header of the data file?

I want to store the data parameters such as sampling rate to the data file. Now I am using the Write Labview Measurement File VI, the data is saved, but like the sampling rate this kind of parameter is not in the file. How can I store this parameter?

If you want the sampling rate to appear in a different location of the header, then it and it's subVIs can be modified to write anyway you want. Right click on the Express VI and slect Open Front Panel. Then you have a VI that can be modified. If you want to use an unmodified Write LabVIEW Measurement File, you could use that, read the whole file back in with one of the file read functions, insert a string with the sampling rate and then write the whole thing back out again. It might be simpler though, to use Write Characters to File to create your own header and then use Write to Spreadsheet File to write the data. There is also the function Export Waveforms to Spreadsheet File on the Waveform>Waveform File I/O. This uses a slightly different format than a .lvm file. It too can be modified if you don't like the default header.

  • Just purchased an Iphone and downloaded Itunes on my desktop...now no matter what i am doing the Itunes stores keeps opening up, anyone know how I can fix this

I just purchased an Iphone 4S and downloaded Itunes on my desktop.  Now no matter what i am doing the Itunes keeps opening open.  Anyone know how to make this stop?

actually nevermind, it's working now. I closed iTunes, then waited a little, then double clicked one of my iTunes video files from my documents, which opened up iTunes again and the video started playing. I tried restarting iTunes before and that didn't work, so maybe for those who have similar problems, just try clicking on the video file in your documents/desktop of your computer, rather than directly from iTunes.
