Hello jimmy ii
The only option is to contact that person to have them remove Activation Lock from the iPhone. They can do it online and do not have to come to you. Check out the article below for more information.

Without the previous owner's Apple ID and Password, you will not be able to activate the iPad.

    It does not. It has listed :ATX Connector 24 (20+4) Pin X 1 PC, P4-12V 4 Pin X 1 PC, SATA 15 Pin X 2PC, IDE/Molex 4 Pin X 6
You need something with 2x PCI Express 6 pin connectors.
If you have enough 4 pin connectors left over after hooking up the rest of your computer this might still work though, if you use some adapters. They require two 4 pin connectors to power one 6 pin. I recommend looking inside your computer and figuring out which connectors you will need.

  • HT201441 I purchased a used ipad and it is locked under the old owner. I can not contact them. What do i do?

I purchased a used ipad. It is locked under the old owners icloud (find my device) I can not contact them. What can i do?
    thx

Same thing happened to me this last weekend. Bought an iPad on Craigslist and turns out I got duped and I can't get a hold of the chick who sold it to me. I called Apple as well as local law enforcement agencies (wasn't stolen and they can't do anything). Apple won't contact original owner for you because of their privacy policy. Unless someone figures out a way to bypass iCloud, the only solution is to sell it for parts on eBay. That's what I'm doing! List it on eBay with a reserve, start it at $0.99 on a Sunday night 7 day auction and hopefully you will get your money back. I am getting a lot of response on mine so far.
Hopefully Apple will at least begin contacting original iCloud registrants (whoever registered the serial number) to see if product was stolen and if they can remove it from their devices. There needs to be some sort of solution for people who buy Apple products second-hand legitimately!

  • I have bought a second hand ipod 4, but it has the previous owners details all over it, for example it has her email address when trying to update facebook.  How do I update it with my email address?

I have just purchased a second hand ipod touch 4.  The previous owners details are still in it, so for example when I try to update the facebook app it asks me for the previous owners password, and shows the previous owners email address.  How do I change it all to my details?  I have already synced it with itunes and all of my music is now in it, and it's also renamed on the itunes page when I attach the ipod to my PC.  I've also been in to the 'info' page, 'Advanced' and then 'Replace information on this ipod with mail accounts from this computer' then finally 'apply', but it still has the other persons ID.

I've answered my own question!  I now understand that you can't use apps as they are always going to be linked to the original owner.  I've since deleted the app and downloaded it again, and all is now well!

The Apple ID and Password that was Originally used to Activate the iDevice is required
If you do not have that information you will not be able to use the Device.

  • I cant activate my ipad cause i need the previous owners info what do i do because i cant get it

i bought an ipad of some person i met and it wont let me activate the account because its linked to the previous owners account ... i dont have any of that information so wat can i do

Consider it a lesson learned. The iPad was probably stolen and you got scammed. Never buy an iPad without starting the iPad, check Find My Phone, and ask the seller to turn it off before you accept the device.

  • I formatted my ipad with ios 7 and now its asking me for the previous owner's apple id. what do i do??

I formatted a previously owned apple ipad with the ios 7 in it. Now when i was setting it up again, its showing me the previous owner's apple id and asking for the password. I dont know the previous owner's password so i cannot set it up. What do i do? I need my ipad back...

Sorry alisha, but you have encountered an Activation Lock, and the only way you can get around it is to have the Previous Owner do the following:

  • Buying a second hand iPad 2. What should I look out for?

Hi, I'm from the UK and I'm buying a second hand unlocked Ipad 2 (It wasnt bought unlocked), Is there anything in particular i should be wary of before buying. I'm buying this from a friend so i have the chance to physically look at it before buying? Its over a year old so, but can i still get some kind of apple care?
Also i've read that iPads arent locked to specific networks? But my friend tells me he had to unlock it to use his GiffGaff simcard..
    Thanks in Advance

I can't comment on the cellular. HOwever make sure that iPad isn't still linked to the original owner's apple ID or you'll buy a brick.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH13695
explains what the activation lock is and if the original owner's Apple ID is still on there or they can't give it to you, then don't buy it. Because it can't be unlocked.

  • I have files on iomega zip discs from 10 years ago, but no longer have a zip drive.  I can buy one second hand at a reasonable price, but I don't know if it would be compatible with my MacBook pro.

while you are with the person selling it to you, ask if you can do a complete restore of the software settings->general->reset->reset all
reboot the phone to factory settings and see if that fixes the problem.  if not, i wouldn't buy it unless they are selling it to you for less than $50.  wifi is crucial for keeping data low and using features like facetime

If you are trying to activate an iPad or iPhone and it is asking for a previous owners Apple ID and password, you have encountered the Activation Lock. This is a security feature that prevents thieves from setting up and using a stolen or lost iPad or iPhone. You have no alternative. You must contact the previous owner to get permission to use the device. If you cannot contact the previous owner return the device to where you bought it and get a refund. You will never be able to activate the device and no one can help you do it.

  • Buying a second hand 5D Mark III

Hi all, I'm considering to buy a second hand 5D Mark III camera. Do you have some suggestions on what I should pay attention to ?
    thanks

    1) shutter count
    2) age
    3) repair histroy
    4) physical presentation and functionality.
if you're purchasing it from a third party, things to consider:
is it coming out of a cardboard box lying next to some jumper cables and a piece of an engine block next to a gas can being delivered in the bed of a pickup that's more rust than metal?
consider your source for the item.  are they an established photographer? why are they selling it?
is the price much lower than the cost of a new one?  usually with a camera like the 5d3 even a slightly older one but one that has been loved dearly, will sell for nearing on the original mrsp.
ask if you can take both a cf and an sd card to mee the person and take a few photos in various lighting situations, and see if you notice any crazy abberations in your photography before purchse.
these are all things i'd keep in the back of my mind if i were pressed to buy another 5d3 and from a second hand source.
not too many people just JUMP into the purchase of a 5d3 so they most likely will take good care of it, but you can never tell if it was the one that fell off the dock while crabbing and had to be neetted up...  on the good side, eventhough you 'd end up paying a bit, Canon does have a great repair service.  So, if you do get offered one rather cheap with a few dings and scratches, a high shutter count, and that little rattle that doenst seem to come from anywhere in particular but you always seem to hear it... if it's not still warranteed, then just ship it off pay some money, and get one back that's probably as good as paying for one outright at your local dealer.
i hope these ramblings serve to help.

Sure - give us something to work with
You question is currently like My car won't start - any suggestions?
what version of iPhoto? What has changed since it worked correctly? What happens when you try to update (exact message) iPhoto? What happens when you try to open iPhoto (again exact message)?
For a used system the installed software belongs to he seller - yon need to purchase your own copies and install
