All apps are tied to the Apple ID they are purchased with and is not transferable.
Delete app and download app with your new Apple ID.

I have been trying to update via App Store and every time only with apple software it starts to download and it will says it's calculating time remaining then an error message pops up saying " An error has occurred the request timed out. i have been trying to update my apps but i recieve a pop up on my iphone and ipod that my apple id has been disabled. i have reset my password and made sure that everything in my settings are up to date with the new password. but the problem still persists. i have done what the support link has told me i have even logged out and logged back in but still no positive results. please help

The Snow Leopard 10.6 DVD should still be available from Apple for $20. You will have to call Apple Customer Care 1-800-692-7753 or 1-800-676-2775 to purchase it. It may still be in the Legacy Products list. The App Store which is required to download 10.7 or 10.8 is part of the 10.6.6 update.
If they no longer have any in stock you will have to buy it from eBay or Apple resellers that still have stock. But you will have to pay a premium since the DVDs are no longer being made. Snow Leopard DVDs are already up to $100 on Amazon.

I recently purchased a MacBook Air and was told by Apple that Keynote and Pages were compatible with MS Applications.. I have since tried to open a Powerpoint Presentation but it comes up with an error message and is not right. Help!
If there are fonts, transitions, builds, video or audio in the PowerPoint file that are not compatible with Keynote, it will either prevent the presentation opening or Keynote will substitute the settings causing playback changes.
I use Open Office to play and open any PowerPoint files sent to me, they play exactly as in PowerPoint.

My ipod 60gb classic is showing as fully charged until I connect it to my pc when it comes up with the error message, 'please wait very low battery' and the little wheel goes round and nothing happens, can anyone explain why this is and what i can do?
I have worked my way through the assistant and nothing works. I have tried connecting in disc mode but although the screen on the ipod is showing that the device is charged and that it is in disc mode as soon as I connect it to the computer it comes up with the error message 'please wait very low battery' and stays like that until I disconnect when it appears to be OK again. I have tried on both pc and mac.
BTW the ipod is an ipod video not classic if that makes any difference.

When asked to type in my Apple ID it uses a email address that is not mine but is one of my contacts, I cannot access itunes as this is not my email address, this happened after I updated my phone on my Mac computer. How do I get this email address off so I can use my Apple ID ?

When I type in a letter in the "To" box, let's say 'a', a number of my contact come up with "Apple Computer Inc" as the name associated with an email address. In the past, the person's name was listed i.e Joe Smith <[email protected]>. Now it looks like this Apple Computer Inc.<[email protected]> Anyone else experienceing this?

Strange email from Apple regarding my email address that is not my Apple ID
I just recieved the below email. Funny thing is that this is my email address but it is not my Apple ID. Is someone phishing? this is a phone that I used to own but it has long since expired. I cannot update my apps on my iPhone 3. I think it's because I've discovered I have 2 Apple ID's, the original one for iTunes from 2009, and another one I used more recently. I think I must have changed my Apple ID to the more recent email, but my iPhone does not accept any password for the new ID. I have tried changing back but cannot. I have reset passowrds on both ID's 6 or 7 times, but that does not work either. I read I cannot undo an Apple ID, so I have 2, but they are mixed up. Help?
Did you purchase or download the apps with your old ID? Apps are tied to the ID that is was purchased from.
If it is a new app you bought with your new ID, you can go into settings - appstore- apple id and then log out. -
How do I get a prompt for my new account when updating existing apps? I had used one of my sons account for most of the apps on my iPhone. I have since move up to a iPhone 4S and created my own account to use iCloud. But everytime I try to update the exiting apps I am prompted for a password to my sons account. I am logged on to iCloud with my new account at the same time.
It looks like the apps retain some kind of tag to the original account used during download.
Any help would be appreciated.Change the account in the iPhones settings

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with iCloud on your devices after updating your Apple ID. I recommend the following steps:
Symptoms
iOS 7 may ask for the password to your previous Apple ID when you sign out of iCloud.
Resolution
1. Use your current Apple ID password
Trying using your current Apple ID password. If that doesn't work, continue to the next step.
2. Sign out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime
If you are currently signed in to iMessage or FaceTime
If you are not signed in to iMessage or FaceTime
3. Change your Apple ID temporarily
If signing out and back in to iMessage or FaceTime didn't work, try these steps:
Change your Apple ID to the Apple ID you used previously. You shouldn't need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud and try to sign out.
Change your Apple ID to the new email address that you want to use. You'll need to verify the email address.
Tap Settings > iCloud and sign in with the new Apple ID.
