When does a promotion/pricingmodel gets applied to an Item

Hi,
I have a question when does a pricingmodel/adjustment  get added to an Item/Product/Sku.
I have a configurableSubSku item added to cart, and for the same sku i have added a promotion say like 50% off. But it doesn't gets triggered at all.
So I wanted to know where does the item discounts happen in ootb. Incase if i want to customize it add the promotion to the sub skus how should i do it.
Thanks.

In response to below question:
I have a question when does a pricingmodel/adjustment  get added to an Item/Product/Sku
Pricing Engine Service is responsible for pricing in ATG.
All global promotions gets loaded periodically by Pricing Engine Service.
When Order is modified(item added, quantity changed, etc) or RepriceOrderDroplet is called.PriceEngineService Comes in picture.
Pricing Engine Service calls individual Engines(ItemPricingEngine, OrderPricingEngine,ShippingPricingEngine, TaxPrcingEngine).
Individual Engines perform following tasks
load individual level promotion
determine right pricing method
invoke precalculator
Call qualifier
Apply discounts
I have never worked on configurable sku, second answer wait for some other reply.
Thanks,
Nitin.

  • How and When Does the attribute VI_ATTR_VXI_TRIG_STATUS get initialized

How and When  Does the attribute VI_ATTR_VXI_TRIG_STATUS get initialized. Do the actual trigger lines get measured or does the attribute get initialized to a default value when the vxi resource manager is executed?

    Hey whl6868,
According to page 157 (or 3-135) of the manual (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/370132c.pdf), there is no default value for VI_ATTR_VXI_TRIG_STATUS.  If Resman is returning valid values for it, then it must be actually reading the lines.  Else, I would only expect it to return valid values when you actually call the function yourself.

  • I just upgraded my data plan from 6GB to 10GB for the same rate of $80 is this a promotion? If yes, when does the promotion end? Thank you.

I just upgraded my data plan from 6GB to 10GB for the same rate of $80 per month. Is this a promotion? If yes, when does the promotion end?

In most cases you keep the same plan and promotions even when you upgrade the phone.  There are exceptions for very old plans and unlimited data, but essentially mrhelper is correct. You have option to "keep current plan" when upgrading.  so in most cases, your statement that you will go back to $100 for 10 GB when upgrading is incorrect.  What was your particular circumstance?

  • How and when does a dimension table gets generated

    Hi Gurus,
I am new into BI and I will be put into a project within 2 months. I have learned that dimension table contains the sid's of all the charateristics in the dimension table. My conclusions are like
    1. Dimension table contains the dim id as the primary key.
    2. Dimension table contains sid's of the characteristics.
    3. Though sid's in the dimension table are primary keys in thier 'S' table they are not key in the dimension table.
    My question is
    1. Is there any chance to generate new dim id's for the same combination of sid's because sid's are not part of the key?
    2. I got confused when and how does the dimension table gets generated ?
I have searched in the forum and google but still my doubts didnt get clarified. If anyone could throw some light on this topic I would really appreciate it.

    HI,
    All your conclusions are correct.
Now for your questions the answers are in line:
    1. Is there any chance to generate new dim id's for the same combination of sid's because sid's are not part of the key?
No new dim id's will be generated, dim Id is unique for the same combination of sid's .
    2. I got confused when and how does the dimension table gets generated ?
They get generated when you activate the info provider.
    Hope this helps.
    thanks,

  • Why Does Apple Tempt Us With "Apply to Enclosed Items?"

Unfortunately—like too many others—I find myself in a grand mess because I innocently selected "Apply to Enclosing Folders" while on the system hard drive.
I had been trying to resolve an issue where I was unable to write files to the drive. I selected the icon of the hard drive, went into Permissions and there it was—the solution (or so I thought) hanging there like a ripe peach on a tree within easy reach. I made sure my name and "Read & Write" was selected then checked the "Apply to Enclosed Items."
This has resulted in DISASTER and I have spent the past 24 hours trying (no success so far!!) to fix the mess.
Judging from the number of entries I've seen in this forum as I try to find a solution to my problem, I am shocked that Apple would provide this option in the Permissions area WITHOUT A WARNING of how seemingly innocent act may instead have unexpected, time-consuming and COSTLY results!!!
    What is UP with that???

  • When does a sticky entry get removed on CSM

I have one sticky group for multiple vservers and within each vserver is a different serverfarm with the same IPs but each server farm has a different probe.  Now if you look in the sticky table there will  be only once entry if my sticky is by source IP.  My question is if the probe on one of those serverfarms fails taking down a particular server will that server's entry be removed from the sticky table?
And does this function the same way on an ACE as it does on a CSM?
    Thank you
    Tony.

Tony, the failure of a probe (or even all probes for a real) does not delete a sticky entry. However, when a connection request is made that invokes the sticky, and the real is not operational, then the sticky entry is deleted. I can't seem to gte into my ace to test, but I would expect it to be similar. Matthew

  • When does the Apple TV get an App Store?

Seems like a great market to get into. Especially when you think about tying an iPhone or iPod Touch to the Apple TV as a remote/interface device.

I suggest going to the feedback section on the apple site and leave a suggestions, I did a couple days ago. I believe that would be a good compromise between the current apple TV and a Mini. I think alot of people like the ease of use of an Apple TV but want the functionality of a mini for such things as Plex or Hulu.

  • How does the shared data get applied?

We have 2 mobile phones in a shared data business plan. One phone has 2.5gb of data allowance and mine has 6gb of data allowance. I am about to exceed my allowance for the month but the other phone still has 2gb of available allowance.
How do I avail myself of the allowance of the other phone? Is it automatically done for me?
    Thanks

Hi Swerv, if you are sharing the data on a business fleet plan then as long as the combined usage does not exceed the combined allowance, you have not gone over. So for example you use 1GB on one phone and 7GB on the other, you are within allowance.

  • When and how does the message context get removed from the message when we use pass thru send port

    Friends,
i have a doubt regarding message context.
Assume i have used XMLRecieve pipeline in the receive side to receive the message so that the message context is created. I.e properties are promoted/written.
now if we use pass thru transmit pipe line at send side, how and when does the message context get removed from the message?? Since pass thru does not have any stages/components, how does the message context removed and sent out a pure message to destination???
i mean what exactly happens here to remove the context??
    Ravindar

    Thanks for the reply.
"The Context is created by the Adapter, regardless of any Pipeline or Pipeline Component.  It has nothing to do with PassThrough vs. XmlReceive, although XmlReceive will write Promoted Properties to the existing Context,
    as can any other Component."
yeah yeah, adapter does create some properties in context. You are right, i am aware of it. I just missed to explain it clearly. what i meant is addition of context properties will not happen if pass thru used. Thanks its clear.
"No.  The Context already exists on the Message when it comes from the MessageBox and
is equally available to any Component in any Stage.  The Context that hits the Pipeline is whatever was last Persisted, either by a Receive Port or Orchestration.  It is not created by the XmlAssembler (XmlTransmit)"
You are right , the context already exists on the message while it leaves the receive port, and once it persists
to message box the context and message context gets stored in messages in relative tables.
Now as you said the components get the message from the last persistence, assume i have a send port(with passthru)
subscriber and a orchestration subsrciber for this message.
Orchestration gets the message with context right!!
if the send sendport(with passthru) also gets message along with context, then where is this context removed/demoted
while sending it out?.  i guess as per SAAkhlaq said,
here sendport(with passthru) should get a pure message without context as passthru used.
or is it that ultimately send adapter removes the context completely?
or is it something like biztalk run time load the context from database into cache and both orchestration and send port gets pure message, and if needed they use context from cache???
sorry i may be troubling you, but i am confused. i hope i am not creating any nuisance with this
    post.

  • Error when doing GR

    Hi,
when doing GR i am getting the error "Posting only possible in periods 2011/04 and 2011/03 in company code vksk"
i need your suggestion to rectify this

    Hi,
It means the MM Posting period is not current, we define periods of posting, during which it is possible to do material movements.
If the date of the material movement does not fall into the period, this error will come up.
Please go to table MARV, Provide your Co Code and execute, you will find the current period of that Co Code, then you need to go to T code MMPV, Provide your Co Code and enter the next period say in MARV the period was 06, so now you need to open posting for 07, then please put period as 07 and years as 2011  and execute.
If there is a difference of more than one periods between the current actual period and the period in marv for the co code, then you would need to open periods one by one.
For example co code has period has3, and actual period is 7, then you would need to put period as 4 and execute, next time 5 and so on, lastly you will have to execute with7.
Hope this clarifies all your doubts, similarly, you will have to ask FI to open the FI posting periods as well.
Please let me know of any issues, would be happy to help
    Regards

  • When does Crystal use the Webi Server?

I have a Crystal 2008 off a R3.0 Universe.  When does the Webi server get accessed?
Question is only for Crystal Designer
When I open the report in Crystal Designer?  Or when I run the report?

    Hi Brian,
When creating a report based of a Universe, Crystal Reports will communicate with the Webi Report Server to get the following information:
    - SQL Query
    - Database information
When you open a report based of a Universe in Crystal Reports, it needs to communicate with the Webi Report server to verify the security set in the Universe, as well as to see if there were any change, then the information is passed to Crystal Reports.
When refreshing the report, it will  then use the SQL Query and database information sent from the Webi Report Server to communicate directly with the data source to retreive the data.
Note that the above are general information on how a report based of a Universe semantic layer works.
    Hope this answer your question.

  • Word 2013 crashes when doing a save as pdf

Word 2013 will crash when doing a 'save as' pdf

It sounds like an item in HD/Library/Contextual Menu Items. Drag the contents of that folder to the desktop and test again. If that sorts it put the items back one at a time to find the culprit..
If that's not it, go to ~(yourHome)/Library/Contextual Menu Items and do the same.
Open "Console" in your Utilities folder. From the Sidebar choose: Log
Files >> CrashReporter >> "~/ Library Logs" >> Preview and paste the contents here for the latest Preview crash and maybe we can figure what's going on.
