When I began using Iphone 4, my email address was attached to our provider which was Everest (Surewest). My Iphone still has that email address but I can no longer access that email account and I now cannot unlock my Iphone. Does anyone know how ?
When I purchased my I-phone 4 several years ago, our email service provider was Everest. We no longer use Everest and I can no longer access that email address, but my I-phone is still attached to that email address, so I can not unlock this I-phone. I have purchased a new I-phone and the same email address transferred to it when the information was transferred from my old phone to my new one. In order to trade my old phone in for the new one, I must be able to unlock the old phone, which I have been unable to do since the old email address is not available to me. Please help.
Having the email address is not necessary. It is just the username for the device. All you need is that Apple ID and password. Now, if you forgotten the password, then you have more work to do. Since that email is no longer active, you would need to send the reset to your rescue email, if you remember that. Or you will need to contact Apple Security for help. What ID do you want to change? To change your iTunes ID, go to Settings>iTunes & App Stores, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with the new ID. To change the ID for iMessage, do the same thing in Settings>Messages>Send & Receive. To change the ID for FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime. To change the ID for iCloud, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then sign back in with the ID you want to use.

I went to use my ipod touch 8GB but it wasn't working, when i looked closer it was on just very very dim. The brightness is turned up all the way and the screen is practically black.. does anyone know how to fix it?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

- Reset all settings If yu can see the screen enough to do it)

- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
- Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since you have a hardware problem.

After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

Okay, so I got the latest update and apparently it doesn't work. I had an icon on my desktop that wouldn't open because the 'newer Itunes' is apparently corrupt or something. Going into my applications, I found another Itunes icon and it opens up, but not the F7, F8 and F9 keys aren't working with it. I've already tried installing the latest version and that hasn't helped. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

My daughter has forgotten her passcode on her ipod. Apple wants to charge me $60 to help me. Does anyone know how I can reset it?
Connect the iPod to the computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery mode if necessary to allow the restore.

I had a substantial amount of spreadsheets on my iPad mini and the numbers app as well as a substantial number of pages documents in the pages app. The key word there was had! All my files have disappeared. And on top of that every time I go into preferences to turn on the cloud option it keeps turning itself off. Does anybody know what is going on I would love to have my documents back please help.

ThanksThere is no way to remotely track any device that is turned off, or does not have an internet data connection. In that case, no remote system can possible communicate with the device, nor the device send any information to any remote server. Any device, not merely an iPhone, shares that same limitation. Remote tracking is only possible if the device and the tracking system can talk to eachother.
Apple does not offer any other feature because they are not a law enforcement agency. They are bound by the same privacy laws that keep you from snooping in somebody's house just because you claim they have something of yours.
Of course there are alternate ways to track a powered on and connected cell phone, but Apple has neither the legal nor the moral authority to do such things. Just because something is technically possible does not mean that any big company and just go out and do them.
Since when is it always "someone else's" fault and responsibility to deal with your lost or stolen private property? I don't get this mentality of passing either the blame or the responsibility on to someone else. -
itunes asked me if iwanted to erase all my files on my iphone when i connected it to my second computer.

and all of my very important voice memos were deleted
however none of my photos were deleted...... and they count as files don't they?

PLEASE HELP!!!You should never try to sync your phone with more than one computer or you will lose your data. The pictures were not deleted because the sync process does not touch Camera Roll pictures (it only includes them during the backup step of the sync process).
If you had these voice memos on your phone when you last synced it to your first computer, and if you haven't synced to this computer since then, you could restore from the backup created during your last sync. This will replace the data on your phone with the data from this older backup so anything new will be lost. If you think that is the case, do not sync your phone again to the first computer prior to restoring from this backup or you will overwrite it and the backup will be lost. Instead, prior to connecting your phone to your first computer, open iTunes and disable automatic syncing by going to iTunes Preferences and on the Devices tab checking "Prevent...from syncing automatically". Then connect your phone and when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar right-click on its name and select Restore From Backup and choose your last backup (containing your voice memos).
If you didn't have these voice memos on your phone when you last synced to your first computer, or if you have synced again to your first computer since losing your data, then your voice memos and other data are lost. -

Check USB connections
If there’s an issue with the USB port, cable, dock, or hub, or if the device becomes disconnected during restore, try troubleshooting the USB connection, then troubleshooting your security software.
Common errors: 13, 14, 1600-1629, 1643-1650, 2000-2009, 4000, 4005, 4013, 4014, 4016, “invalid response”, and being prompted to restore again after a restore completes.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use another USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port on your computer.
Try a different dock connector (or no dock).
Add (or remove) a USB hub between your device and computer.
Connect your computer directly to your Internet source, with no routers, hubs, or switches.
If you see your error after changing your USB connections, continue to the next section to troubleshoot your hardware.

I was having problem with the share feature in FCP7. The Apple tech sent me some trouble shooting articles. Tried to follow them but I did not find the files for FCP7 in the receipt folder. Tried to reinstall the program but it does not start with a clean slate. The first time I installed FCP7 it asked for the serial number. This time it does not ask for anything and just starts to load but ends up spinning endlessly. There must be a way to remove everything and start out fresh again. What steps am I missing, which were not covered in the article?

I was downloading Skype for mac last night, and now my safari isn't working correctly (has a lot of popups and and words are hyperlinked on my webpages I pull up now. I think I have the 'DownLite' trojan but I am unsure of how to get rid of it. I saw a post in March that Linc helped with describing how to fix it, but unfortunately, it didn't work for me (because I think mine is in a different folder but am unsure how to find it).
