My ipad air sometimes opens a program, then immediately closes an returns to the home screen. Often will take me 2 or 3 times opening the program to get it to stay open. This does not happen with any particular program. Happens randomly.

What you are describing is that the app is "crashing". You may notice that some apps do it more than others. To try and fix this, cycle the power. To do this, you want to fully turn the iPad off.
Hold the sleep wake button down.
The iPad should say something like, "slide to turn off". Do that.
After the screen is not grey, and completely black... wait 15 seconds, then turn your iPad on again.
This should resolve your issues. -

so I've been using my ipod touch for three months already. Then I noticed that the more I use my camera, which is not very often, I only use it to snapshot wonderful events in my life, the more "crashing" becomes often in my ipod. There are several times that I will repeatedly click my camera button just to open it as it keeps on crashing. my software is up to date, iOS 6.1.3 and I thought that updating it and restarting it will do the trick. Also, the panorama feature of my camera is kind of defective, It's very dark and the images keep in getting ragged on edges. Like it's been cut with sheers or any sharp material. What can I do about this? Is there any way for me to get this fixed?
Is the camera damaged? Could be a hardware problem.
Try:
Close the Camera app in the multitasking bar, then try again.
Restart/Reset/Restore your iPod. In that order. -

Try downloading another app - any free app. It seems to reset something and can help with this issue.
If that doesn't work close all apps and restart.

I go to settings and switch "Automatic time" off and then back on. It works for a while, but then just goes back to being off. I've tried manually setting the time, but it just goes back to what it was before. If I send a text, it sends and then disapears. I can't see what I wrote! I went in to Apple to try and get it fixed, but they just restored my phone. It's still not working. Please help!
It's not hacker or a virus. You are experiencing what a number of users of iOS 5 are experiencing now - sluggish or less than perfect iPad performance. It seems that for some of us - memory management has gotten a little out of whack with this most recent update. Some of the basic troubleshooting steps that you can try are ....

If you have Safari crashing issues - Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. None of these steps should be necessary as part of your daily routine - the iOS is supposed to handle all of this without any user input. Once again - for some of us - the iOS is letting us down.
Until Apple releases another update that resolves this issue for the "few" that suffer, keep these steps in mind and use them as needed. -

I called apple 5 times today and asked me to restore it 3x the problem still exists. This problem starts to occur yesterday after upgrading to IOS6.
Apple customer service is not good enough as they cannot fixed the problem or tell me that I can change the unit as I just bought this 2 months ago.Because there is a bug in iOS 6 that effects the 4G iPod touch.

In trying to include what information all that I could I should have specified I DON'T KNOW THAT IT WAS DEFINATELY JAILBROKEN when I took it to the apple store they told me there's no way for them to tell if it was jail broken or not. I'm only going by what ppl have told me COULD HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE PHONE. With that said the only thing I know for sure is that the apple tech at the Genius Bar told me that someone took control of my root menu in February & I've had no control of my phone since. I asked him how to regain control & how he knew his exact words were "oh that is out of our scope of capabilities here at this level & you would need an apple engineer to fix it". I said ok then how do I get an apple eng then? He laughed & said you can't!!!! To which I was furious I came home & called apple requesting to speak w/the fraud dept to file a report they said we don't have a fraud dept!! So after a 45 mn phone call again I left w/no answers.

I DON'T HAVE THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TO SPEND HIRING AN ATTORNEY & Although I appreciate your suggestion I fail to how an attorney would be able to facilitate in any way since there's no suspect. I cannot prove that it's him doing it so I certainly can't pursue legal action w/no proof & no money. :'((

I was looking more for a TECHNICAL way to avoid this happening w/a new phone should I buy one or trying to get them out of my phone now! Such as installing some kind of software protection?? There is no way to remove items from the purchased list on the iPad.
You can send a photo from the mail app by tapping and holding down in the body of the email and select - Insert Photo or Video - from the black options bar that will pop up. -
I had downloaded OS X Mountain Lion and had to replace my hard drive. Now when I try to download it only wants to upgrade since I show that I previously purchased it. What can I do to get the operating system back
I'm unclear on what the problem is. Have you installed a system on the new hard drive, and if so, what system? Had you actually installed Mountain Lion previously, or only downloaded it? And what does "it only wants to upgrade" mean? Have you actually got Mountain Lion already installed? (See About This Mac in the Apple menu.)
All Macs that shipped with Lion or newer are capable of internet recovery in situations like this. Just hold down command-R and it should start in recovery mode over the internet if necessary. You can reinstall the system from there. If you had Mountain Lion, I would assume that Mountain Lion would be the system you would get reinstalling that way. -

Unfortunately, nothing. If there is a problem with the backup you won't be able to use it. You'll have to restor a backup from your computer using iTunes, if you have one.

If you can get them paired again try making them "favorites" from the Bluetooth system preferences.
Try smc and pram reset too. May gave to do this before you can get them paired.
