  • When i connect my ipod shuffle to itunes i get an error message the ipod cannot be synced, the required disk cannot be found  anyone have this happen?

When i connect my ipod shuffle to itunes i get an error message the ipod cannot be synced, the required disk cannot be found  anyone have this happen? How do i get past it?

I seem to recall that this may be cause by overloading the USB bus (lack of power to go around).  Shut down your computer.  Reset the iPod shuffle using this procedure.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1655
Disconnect ALL peripheral USB devices, including keyboard and mouse.  Power up the computer.  If you need your mouse, connect it and launch iTunes.  Connect the iPod shuffle to a direct USB port and try the sync again.  See if there is any difference.

  • IPod shuffle 4th generation is not charging, not recognized by my computer and laptop (Windows 7) and does not show up in iTunes

I have done all the troubleshoots and reset functions but my iPod shuffle is still not working. Every time I plugged my iPod it only shows red light that lasts for about 3 seconds and will disappear after some time. I've been using the same computer and laptop back then, and it stopped working since the last week of October.

  • IPod not recognized in 'My Computer' and in iTunes for Windows 7

I have stopped the services to the ipod and mobile devices and restarted the services.  I have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes.  My ports are fine and I have tried all gthree ports.  I also switched the cable and yet it's still not recognizing ipod.  I also turned sync automatically off and then back on.  Not sure what else to try.  Very frustrating!!!! • Computer shuts off when I connect my IPOD Shuffle

I just got a new computer and I'm trying to use my IPOD shuffle. I've installed the software and have downloaded updates but when I plug my IPOD into the USB port I get a whole blue page of error messages and the thing shuts down. I am running windows xp pro.

You might have to bring it to apple. Mines was doing the same thing. I brought it to Best Buy (thats where I brought it from) They can fix the problem. I have a windows vista. 30gb ipod

  • Wont Connect at all, 3 orange light blinks, why wont it connect

    Hi,
My iPod Shuffle's battery ran out, so I went to recharge it by putting it onto the dock cord. But Nothing happens except 3 orange blinks from the Shuffle each time I try reconnecting to the usb port. What does this mean?
Also, the computer doesn't see it at all. Nothing in the device manager, no system sound on connect. iTunes doesn't see my pod either.
Its not my usb ports or drivers, it wont connect to any computer in the house.
Is my cord broken? What do the 3 orange blinks mean?
    Any help would be appreciated.
Also, why isn't there a technical support email on the contact page???

    Hi!
I had the exact same problem. My computer detect it the first time and told me I needed Itunes last version. I did downloaded it, but the computer never recognized the ipod anymore, though it was perfectly working on any other computers... I called Apple twice, they couldn't help. Keep saying it was a computer problem... But my grilfriend's new nano 4G is working perfectly. So I took mine back to the Genius division of an Apple store and the guy couldn't figure the problem either. He gave me a refurbished one. My computer detected it at the first orange blink. But now, I can't put music on it. Keep telling me that the ipod can't find the music disc I'm refering to. So I need to assume that it is indeed a computer configuration problem... or a compatibility problem with the shuffle only...

  • My iPod touch is not recognized on my computer and is only showing the connect to itunes screen.

I don't know what to do. It was working fine yesterday but now it won't recognize it anywhere and only shows the screen "connect to itunes" which it won't let me do.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode
How to put iPod touch / iPhone into DFU mode « Karthik's scribblings
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

    Then as necessary

    Or

    or
Removing and reinstalling iTunes and other software components for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8
However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Features app in the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components

  • Why my Ipod shuffle...........? ( not recognized )

Why my ipod Shuffle sometimes not recognized from my 2 Mac system.
Yesterday not recognized but after some insert and remove was OK.
    Any suggestion ?
    Is broken ?

Apple no longer supports 1st gen Shuffle.  They want you to throw it away and buy the latest gadget from Apple.  Your alternative is to use a PC, which will recognize your IPod.

  • ITunes is not recognizing my new computer and not allowing me to download my music that I already purchased even though it recognizes my registered iPod.

I got a new computer and downloaded iTunes. When I tried to download music that I already purchased I got a message that my computer was not authorized although my iPod was plugged in and it was recognized. I don't see anywhere that I can register my new computer. Can someone help me?

    - You do have iTunes version 11 on the computer, right. Saying the latest is not sufficient.
    - Have you tried everthing here:
iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows
    - You should
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
Your library/media will not be affected.
    - Does the iPod charge?
