When I go to update software, I get a box that says there is an update with a smaller box over it that says there are no available updates. It did not used to do this.

When I go to have my mac update software it is now having a box that says there is an update with a smaller box over it that says no up date available. You cannot get to the update to click on it to proceed. Why is it doing this and how can I get it to stop?

If you can't install on top of the current installation then you need to delete or rename the current Firefox program folder to do a clean install.
It is possible that your security software is using or locking files, so you can try to temporarily disable that software during the installation.

Yes, I had found a similar solution also. I'm running XP Pro, SP3. I went Control Panels/ Add-Remove programmes/apple software update/ change/ repair. Then run the 10.5 exe.
While the programme updated from version 8 of iTunes, my new iTunes is now a mess. Not all of my music was in the same folder previously but it all showed up on iTunes. Now many albums have been left out, some have only a few tracks and some have two copies of some tracks as well as having other tracks missing. I haven't begun to work on that.

Two things, bushmanernie (love the name)
First what version of Lion are you running and have you downloaded any Combo updates since you installed it.
Second; I see you only have 10.6.2 in your profile. You might like to update it.
I don't have Lion myself but I'm guessing you don't have the very latest version. You can check what should be available through the opening Apple support page > downloads.

Recently my movies and videos take forever to load and when they start playing it's for a second or two at a time. Have to hit the play icon over and over, did not use to be this way they work great on my desktop and iPod

I finally resolved my problem after spending way too much time on it. I simply handed my 160GB iPod to my husband to put his fav Stones & Beatles songs on and I went back to my 80GB Microsoft Zune which has never disappointed me.
After spending so much time trying to figure this out I did finally take it back to Apple Store who performed a diagnostic and found there was a problem with the device. They replaced it with a refurbished one which has similar issues. All I wanted to do was listen to my music. Was that too much to ask? So I am happy to be free of this problematic device. No more Apple for me!!

I tried opening it from the application folder and nothing happens. I have tried from the dock and the same thing. Unfortunately this is not the application that I ws intending to work on. This was running perfectly fine for me. I have a lot of music on it. I know all is still there because I can see it through spotify. I started looking for help with Face time with came up with a needing proper credentials in order to open. Now neither open after a 9 an automatic download of nine updates. You can try contacting apple customer service http://www.apple.com/contact but usually all app purchases are final and not refundable.

If you are using Windows 7, go to:
Control Panel>Programs>Programs and Features
Look for a program called 'Apple Mobile Device Support'
Right-click on it
Click 'repair'
Wait until the repair operation is complete, and voila, your problem should be solved, itunes will recognise your iphone/ipod once more. This worked for me.

Probably the easiest way to do this would be via Save_As. First, look in the Project Panel, and delete all of the Assets that show Usage (might want to organize the Columns to display this info near the head of the Project Panel's display). Clean out everything with Usage. Then, do a Save_As, naming it something that you'll recognize.
It's easier to do just the opposite - delete the unused, as there is a button for doing that, Remove Unused. Going the other way will require a bit more action my the editor, unless CS4 has added a Remove Used button.

I would restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPod on your computer and start over. It appears the iPod is associated with another account. Any media that came with the iPod does not belong to you and di not transfer with the iPod hardware.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

Only the Carrier it is Locked to can Unlock it.

Adding to KC7GNM's remark (with which I agree), the iPhone 5 you received is very likely refurbished. It is not brand new out-of-the-box, never before used.
