Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

If you do not see the events or clips you were working with previously, first see if you can switch back to the library you were using with this method:
Show or hide the Libraries list
You select libraries and events in the Libraries list.
To show the Libraries list: Click the Show button on the left side of the toolbar.
The default location for iMovie libraries is the Movies folder in your home folder.

I recently started to have this problem, I can view videos on youtube without any problems, but if I put a link lets say on FB, I cant view the video I can only hear the sound, its like, there even the buttons, only invisible, yet still clickable, so if I manage to find and click the full-screen button the video switch to full-screen and I can view it. this is really annoying as I cant see flash animations and some videos at all.
You need to find out what type of video it is. What your describing is what you get when a Video codec (software that allows you to "see" the video) is missing, damaged, or too old for the movie.
Once you identify what kind of movie it is, then you can update the codec. -
Clicking on a link in My Yahoo shoots me up to the top of the page. Firefox or Yahoo problem?
Hovering over or clicking on a link in My Yahoo automatically takes me to the top of the page. Is this a My Yahoo problem or a Firefox problem?
I have not heard of this one before... If it's due to change in My Yahoo, we'll probably accumulate more posts about it.

When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
(1) Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
Alternately, you also can clear Firefox's cache completely using:
"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now"
If you have a large hard drive, this might take a few minutes.
(2) Remove the site's cookies (save any pending work first). While viewing a page on the site, try either:
* right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
* Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
In the dialog that opens, you can remove the site's cookies individually.
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
In case one of your extensions is involved, could you test the page in Firefox's Safe Mode? That's a standard diagnostic tool to deactivate extensions and some advanced features of Firefox. More info: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode]].
You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
* Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still run
After Firefox shuts down, a small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (''not'' Reset).

This is a new imacFor music that you've purchased from Apple that are on your iPhone you should be able to copy to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. After installing the new Yosemite OS on my iMac I can no longer send email. I can receive email, but not send. I use gmail and can send email on the gmail (google) site, but not on "mail" on my iMac. Any others with this problem? What should we do?
My gmail, which is correctly configured for Mail with gmail SMTP and Google IMAP, works for awhile on Mail, which I leave open while working on other applications. But several times a day I get msg from Google: "We recently blocked a sign-in attempt to your Google Account" . . . and requiring me to verify my account details, re-enter passwords, confirm security settings (or change them from "disable" to "enable less secure methods" and so on). In Mail I also have tried "taking all accounts online", and re-entering my gmail password inside Mail account settings. These steps successfully re-set comms between gmail and Mail ... for awhile, then it happens again. Enough occurrences over a work day that I just quit Mail and revert to accessing gmail directly. Apple Care advisor and an Apple knowledge base article say that Apple can't deal with this, as gmail is third-party app, and they refer me to gmail, and so far I've found nothing helpful there.
From today I also have several instances of a window saying "Mail has unexpectedly closed" and asking me to Re-open it.
I also use Yahoo mail, which stops working with Mac Mail at the same time as gmail, but I do not receive notices to re-verify from Yahoo.
I recently upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite. The Mail problem happened occasionally with Mavericks but is far more frequent with Yosemite. -

When clicking on a link a new window comes up empty
When I click on a link on a webpage, for example in gmail I click on compose email and then click on the contact list to select contacts to send an email to and the window that holds my contacts information come up there is nothing there. It does this with many other websites as well. Basically when I click on a link on the page a new window pops up where the information is supposed to be but it never loads the information
It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. When I go to sites were I click on a link that will open a java script window, Firefox doesn't open the window. If I go to the same site with IE 8 and click on the same link it will open the java window. I have uninstalled java 6.3.2 and reinstalled 6.3.2 to see it that was the problem. I have also uninstalled Firefox 3.6.3 and reinstalled Firefox 3.6.3 to see if the installation had become corrupt. That has helped in the past, this time it has not.

That option only controls pages that would open in a new window based on the code on the website page you are visiting.
Firefox's default is to open a link or a Bookmark in the currently selected tab.
You have some options to have links and/or Bookmarks open in a new tab:

Firefox will not allow me to click on more than one link in a sequence. After one click, I am forced to switch to another active application before returning to Firefox and clicking on another link. I have seen this problem posted by others, but I can't find an answer by Mozilla. Since this problem makes Firefox virtually unusable (version 3.6.8) I would hope that Mozilla would offer an answer ASAP. Until then, I'm stuck with Explorer.
