Where do i set search conditions?

It might sound "stupid" since it might be obvious to do it in conditions field in search but i tried and it didnt seem to work... I did conditions Exp1=Exp2 with
Table1.name,Table2.name. nothing happened... any suggestions?

Conditional Display of A region based on a Search condition

Hello All,
I would really appreciate any suggestion and pointers on how to achieve the below.
My requirement is to display a tabulated result based on a search condition.
I have two regions. One region contains the items to enable a search and the other region will be used to display the search results.
Region A is an HTML region containing three items
1.     A text field: to enter the search text
2.     A list field: to determine the type of entity to search (customer_id, invoice number, Passport No)
3.     A button: to initiate the search process.
Region B is a reports region displaying the search results
My question is:
1.     Is basing the source of the region as a “PL/SQL function returning a select statement” the ideal choice. I will have variable “WHERE” clauses based on the search criteria entered in region A. However, the columns returned will always be the same
2.     How do we get the region B to display only when there are results returned from the search results
3.     How do we base by result set based on a stored procedure in the database. Basically as an API. We pass in the parameters and the API passes the result set back to APEX. This way, I can have all the DML hidden behind the stored procedures

Structural Reporting::Setting Structure Conditions

In the Structure Conditions Dialog box, you can specify which conditions objects must fulfill if they are to be displayed in the structure.
If you want to report on positions assigned to a particular Org Unit along evaluation path PLSTE, but you want only those positions to be displayed that are assigned to a particular job. You can make this a structure condition
I used SAP Easy Access path Human Resources > Org Management > Info System > Org Unit > Org Structure > Org Structue with positions
In the following screen, I entered the Org Unit. Checked the check box under Status
On the Structure Display/Mainatainence Screen, I tried using Data Structure and Set Structure Conditions tabs, but am not sure of how to proceed. After clicking on Set Structure Conditions, a pop up opens- not sure of what to enter in this table too.

1st column "Check object type" - the objects that you want to see in your report, e.g. positions -> S
2nd column "Root object type" - object type of object where your search should start, e.g. organizational unit -> O
3rd column "Root object ID" - ID of root object
4th column "Evaluation path" - how object should be identified starting from root object, e.g. all positions starting from root and velow -> O-O-S
5th column "Status vector" - what status to use, e.g Active objects -> 1

How to set the conditions for item deletion approval workflow?

I have created approval workflow for item modifications ie, when user try to modify an item, it will send a mail to Project Manager. For that I set the conditions in Change the behavior of the overall task: 1. When the task process starts 2 . When the task
process completes .
Change the behavior of the single task: 1.when a task is Pending.

My Requirement is that I want to set this same workflow for the scenario: when the user deletes an item it will send a mail (intimation mail for item deletion) to Project Manager. here i dont want to send modification mails when user deletes an item.
When user modifies an item: 1. intimation mail, 2. Approve/Reject mail 3. intimation for approval / rejection mail.
When user deletes an item: 1. intimation mail.
How can we set it in one approval workflow?? where i have to set the condition for sending either item modification mails or deletion mail.

Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to start approval workflow when item deleted.
You should first make some changes to trigger the workflow when you delete the item.
You can use the Event Receiver to achieve it.
In order to trigger workflow on item delete you need to create event receivers and from event receiver call the workflow already attached with list.

2 set of conditions to use in a Single Select query in procedure

How we should combine in a single select statement where cluase.

While we use this procdure to run at that time it is not picking up any values also it is not running in it, taking very long time.What is not picking the value? Where clause is not picking the value, or
where clause is picking the value but you are not getting the output.
If it is you are not getting the output.
I suggest to run the sql query individually without pl/sql and check if the records actually exist.
Since it is taking very long time, I feel the sql query is actually being executed in the database but could be you are not getting the records (check if records actualy exist or if you are correctly passing the where clause)

dbms_output.put_line(v_sql_string);
and check what the actual query is formed by pl/sql, if you are satisified the query is correct run it through sql plus and check why oracle does not give the result. MAy be there is no records satisfiying this condition. And I am sure you meant either table or viewname in (table/viewname.colomn_name) and not something like what you posted.

History always gone, where do I set it

I, everytime I use safari now, there is no history. Soon as I quit Safari and then reopen, there is no history in the address bar or history page, but google search does. Where do I set it cause there is nothing in prefences that I can see does that or do I have a corrupt plist.

Set complex condition of process flow transition by OMB skript

Hi,
i would like to set a complex condition for a process flow transition with OMB+.
If i use:
OMBALTER PROCESS_FLOW 'somename' ADD TRANSITION 'yyy' FROM ACTIVITY 'a' to 'b' SET PROPERTIES (TRANSITION_CONDITION) VALUES ('some complex condition')
the skript sets the condition but the radiobutton within the transition condition editor still point to 'Enumerated Condition' and the complex condition editor sheet, where my condition should be printed is empty. But the Object details within the Process editor shows my condition correct.
We use 11gR1 11.1.0.7.0 (OWB & DB).
Has anybody a clue if i am able to set the transitioncondition to COMPLEX ? Or is it a bug ?

Hi Ishani,
The field that you mentioned here in structure RQM01 is having a check table VBUP. So if some values are there in that table, then that will appear as F4 help to you. Consult with your functional and check how values are coming to this table VBUP. Othertahn this, I am afraid you will not be able attach any help.

Hi, in a debug Kerberos file, we can often see the below type of entry.

Regarding the above "timeout" and "number of retries", how/where do i set this to a different value?

How to set pre conditions to set the run mode to skip or normal?

Could you please let me know how can I set a precondition based on a local variable so when the variable is 1 I can skip a test or when it is zero I programatically set the run mode to normal.

I have a case where I use the Pre-Condition to skip some steps (subsequence call) for a specific test) if that test has run successfully already.
This is handled in a 'SequenceFilePostStep", thus the "RunState.Caller....".
The Precondition is set to 'False' so it won't run.
'Set the Precondition on the next step to "False 'Remove" (The remove is to indicate that it will be removed later so it's not saved in the sequence file.)

Where is Easy Set-up Location?

Experimented with a project using a Sony VX2000 which is DV where audio was set at 32 kHz. Having trouble with audio drift capturing that DV from my DHR-1000 Deck. Made an Easy Set-up with 32kHz audio instead of standard 48kHz. Didn't help.
Now I want to delete that Easy Set-up. Can't find it. It is NOT under either:
HD-->Library-->Application Support-->FCP System Support-->Custom Settings
nor is it under
User-->Library-->Application Support-->Final Cut Studio
I quit FCP and restarted, thinking that was what was needed. Didn't help.

Guess not the end of the world, will just make me slower in trying different setups that I know I can't delete if don't work.

Filter - restriction of data to be read/changed/locked by a planning function
Condition - acts like a dynamic filter ,once the data is read ,condition will restrict the records that are to be processed by the function ,e.g the filter is on jan.2012 to dec.2012 ,i can restrict in the condition to process only jan.2012 to 6.2012.this can be used if a certain condition is only known during run time.
Parameter set - each planning function acts like any ususal function in program language where import parameters are needed for proper functionality ,parameter set acts like this ,e.g if the planning function of Copy requiers a parameter set of FROM and TO then this should be supplied to the function in order to copy for example FROM '2012' TO '2013', in this case the filter is restricted to 2013 (because this is the only data that is changed and locked)

Paragraphs seem to only be dealt with in styles, and the Formatting window for text doesn't seem to have the space after paragraph contrtol that the older Inspector had. What am I missing?

Missing Functionality -where do I set a budget for a Project?

Budgeting for Projects is non - existent
Budget for Profit and Loss for a particular project , How is it done ?
Does not work , No facility to put in Budget for a project ?
The report I am trying to run is:
REPORTS>FINANCIAL>BUDGET REPORTS>Profit and Loss Statement Budget Report.Then go to Expanded and choose a PROJECT, say MailOrder.
The result is that it will show the MailOrder project for the ACTUAL but it will show the whole company Turnover against the BUDGET column.
This is because there is no place to set a budget for MailOrder Project in the first place. So the question is where do I set a budget for a Project?
1 Budget setup screen - this has no facility to setup a budget for a PROJECT
2.Budget Profit and Loss - this has the facility to run a PROJECT budget but the figures for the Budget cannot be right because they were not setup in the first place.
PS MailOrder project is just an example.

Please ignore my previous replies because I have now worked out why this idea will not work:
Kerstins' idea is based on setting up new Nominal Codes for every Project and for Every Nominal Code in the Profit and Loss structure. Apart from the fact that this will create a messy Nominal Structure with hundreds of Nominal Codes, the main issue here is the way the Cost Of Goods Sold is structured. The logic of our Nominal Structure for Sales and Cost of Goods is based on Item/Item Groups and the Nature of these Items. In our case we sell Skin Care products under 3 Brands. Say Brand A, B and C
So Brand A is summarised into one item Group and the ITEM GROUP is coded to Sales Nominal 20000 and the Cost of this group is coded to Nominal 30000. In Kertins suggestion, I would need to raise a Nominal Code 20001 for say Project Mail Order and 30001 for the Cost of Goods for Mail Order but this the Mail Order project is selling ALL our brands (A,B,C) - so you can see the problem here. You cannot use Nominal Codes for two different purposes and make it work. So the problem here is that my BRAND A summary will contain a Nominal with a Project Mail Order, that has SALES of Brand A,B,C. The Net effect will be that we will not be able to summarise anything in SALES and Cost of SALES in a logical way (Neither by Brand or By Project) and the Nominal Structure will be a mess.
My conclusion is that SAP b1 Sales and Cost of Goods section demands certain logic when building the Nominal Codes, and this is based on the NATURE OF THE STOCK ITEM and trying to superimpose the PROJECT issue into this, will never work. In my view, the PROJECT issue needs to be sorted without involving New Nominal codes and the starting point would be in sorting out the SALES and COST of SALES and the project Budget for this.
Please let me know if you need further illustration of the problem.
