Where is Table display (Tabular reporting) in nw2004s Query designer?

Hi Experts,
I'm doing NW2004s BI project.
Is there any guy who can see or use table display function (for tabular reporting) in nw2004s Query designer?
I can see it in frontend patch version BW SP09 903 (but icon was inactive ( though I was using only one structurein query)  . but it disappear in patch version SP10 .
Please let me know the true!

Hi,
   SAP said that the function will not be supported in query designer. You have to use report     designer. Please check note 1002271.

  • The BI report created by Query designer does not display all columns

    Dear Experts,
    I have created a BI report using the Query Designer.
    When I execute the query, only 6 columns have been displayed.
    The total columns are 12. I need to display all 12 columns at the first instance.
    Could any one help me to resolve this problem?
    Thank you very much!
    Arthur

    Hi Athul,
    Thanks for your reply.
    There is not marked for '.Supress Zero' in the Rows and Columns.
    And I did not check for 'Hide repeated values' in the Display tab.
    Any other place you could suggest to verify?
    Thanks

  • 'Display as hierarchy' in the Query Designer

    Hi,
          Can anyone highlight some points or importance of 'display as hierarchy' in either rows or columns in the query designer. Also could someone put some thoughts on the 'new structure' in the query designer, is it just that we can create some new selection and new formula from the structure or is there any other explanation for its existence. Any kind of explanation would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Anjali.

    Hi Anjali,
    display as Hierarchies:
    simply enables you to select and use hierarchies for that InfoObject if available.
    Structures:
    you can create structures with or without keyfigures. Structures give you a great deal of flexibility and consistancy in your reports. Eg. you can create a structure that gives you a drilldown on char selections that are different for each line or column. We use that to "simulate" divisions in a drilldown that we don't have backed up by masterdata.
    Also structures enable you to keep reports consistant by using the same global structure eg. for all Contribution margin reports
    Hope that helped,
    regards,

  • Maximum number of records displayed on the browser using Query Designer.

    When you display a query on the web using Query Designer is there a maximum limit of how many records (rows) it can display? For example, can it handle 25 million records?
    Thanks.

    Hi Sebastian,
    I still find such a requirement weird as one cannot definitely go thru' so much of data at a time - it would thus always make sense to perhaps filter on some criteria which would make analysis & perhaps even download much faster. The limit as I understand is approx 750,000 data cells. Maybe the below link & SAP notes can help validate
    Limitation in No. Of data cells displayed in BEx Analyzer

  • SCCM 2012 report empty, but Query Designer yields results!

    Hello,
          I'm trying to produce a report to find out which computers have Office 64 bit running.  I'm using this query
    SELECT
          CS.Name0,
          ARP64.DisplayName0,
          ARP64.Version0
     FROM
          dbo.v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM CS
          join dbo.v_GS_ADD_REMOVE_PROGRAMS_64 ARP64 on CS.ResourceID = ARP64.ResourceID
    Where
          ARP64.DisplayName0 like '%Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010%'
    running this in Query Designer produces the desired results except for the missing username.  However, when I run it in Configuration Manager, I get absolutely nothing.  Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    Jeff

    Well until you know that it working in the web interface there is no point in looking at the CM12 console.
    BTW I don't recommend viewing reports within the Console.

  • Drill down ( Collapsible Row ) Report in BEx query designer ?

    Dear Friends!
       I am supoosed to create a report drill down report for Purchasing History to be precise,  I know that we can have drill down feature using heirarchy but is it possible for Us to have PO & PO item heirarachy ? or any other way to do drill down reporting in SAP BEx Query designer ?
    like my current report is : -
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | PO Number | Item | Material / Service | Description | .... ( keyfigures) |
    Now I am supposed to create a report  in which
    normal view
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | |> PO Number| .... ( keyfigures) | Payment |
    drill down or collapsible view ( please consider the heading as data I am not talking about dynamically change of  headings ).
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | V PO Number | Item | Material / Service | Description | .... ( keyfigures) |
    is there anyway to design the report in above mention manner ? you any input will be appreciated greatly.
    Thank you so much!
    Regards
    Naim

    Hi Naim,
    usually we don't do the transactional data as hierarchy.  not sure the reason behind your requirement.
    we can do one of the below :-
    1. To have the default view as
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | | PO Number| .( keyfigures) | Payment |
    and then user can drill down on rest of the characteristics for detailed view later on.
    2. or if they don't want to drill down on characteristics;-
    we can build 2 reports , one for header level information and then jump to second query for detailed information(item level) using RRI.
    first query:
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant | | PO Number| .( keyfigures) | Payment |
    second query:
    | Vendor | Purchasing Organisation | Purchasing Group | Plant |  PO Number | Item | Material / Service | Description | .... ( keyfigures) |
    Let us know if this works out?
    Regards,
    Sakthi.

  • All Dates displayed for "Characteristic Values" in Query Designer

    Hello Experts,
    We are on BI 7.0, level 13.  I am having an issue within the Query Designer with regards to dates.  I have a write-optimized DSO that contains 3 date fields (for example, ZDATE1, ZDATE2, and ZDATE3).  Each date InfoObject is of type DATS so the system automatically creates it with reference to 0DATE.
    When I create a query in the Query Designer, on the left hand side, I expand the "Characteristic Values" node under each date field.  The Query Designer shows the same list of values for each of the 3 dates even though they are not valid values posted in the DSO for those fields.
    For example, ZDATE1 only has 1 value posted in the DSO (01/01/2005).
    ZDATE2 only has 1 value posted in the DSO (01/01/2006).
    ZDATE3 only has 1 value posted in the DSO (01/01/2007).
    Bute when I expand the "Characteristic Values" node in the Query Designer, I see ALL THREE values under each date field.  I would expect to only see the 1 value posted for the InfoObject in the DSO.  Also note that each InfoObject is defined to show "Only posted values in InfoProvider".
    It appears that Query Designer will show all values for the reference InfoObject 0DATE instead of the ones posted to the actual InfoObject in the DSO.  If I delete the data in the DSO, the Characteristic Values list still remains because they exist in 0DATE.  Anyone encounter this before?  How can I get the Characteristic Values list to only show posted values for that InfObject?
    Thanks for your help!
    J

    Thanks for the response.  I went into the DSO and right clicked on each of the Date fields.  I looked at the Provider-specific properties and there is the option for "Query Exec.FilterVal" which only restricts what values appear when restricting during execution, not during query creation.
    Is there someplace else I should look or someplace else I can make change to only display posted dates when creating a query?  Thanks!

  • Retrieve All records and display in Report using CAML query in Report Builder if Parameter value is blank

    Hello Experts,
    i have created a report where i have one parameter field where user will pass parameter(e.g. EmpId). As per parameter record will fetched to report if no parameter is passed then it will display all records. I have done it by taking SqlServer Database as datasource.
    by using Following method
    Now i would like to do it by taking Sharepoint List as Datasource. For that what would be the CAML Query.
    Here is my existing CAML query.
    <RSSharePointList xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
      <ListName>Employees</ListName>
      <ViewFields>
        <FieldRef Name="Title" />
        <FieldRef Name="FirstName" />
        <FieldRef Name="LastName" />
        <FieldRef Name="FullName" />
        <FieldRef Name="UserName" />
        <FieldRef Name="Company" />
      </ViewFields>
      <Query>
        <Where>
    <Eq>
        <FieldRef Name="Title" />
      <Value Type="Text">
       <Parameter Name="EmployeeId"/>
    </Value>
    </Eq>
        </Where>
      </Query>
    </RSSharePointList>
    The above code is working if i am passing an employeeId to Parameter. If nothing is passed, it is Not retrieving any record.
    Please suggest
    Thank you

    Your problem follows the well-established pattern of using an "All" parameter filter in SSRS. There are a few approaches depending on the size of your data. The easiest one is to return all data from CAML and then filter it within SSRS, the following thread
    provides some examples,
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18203317/show-all-records-some-records-based-on-parameter-value.
    Other options include passing all of the possible values within the CAML query when "All" is selected, using multiple Report Files to distinguish between both CAML queries, or to use multiple datasets with some logic to show/hide the correct one.

  • How to display 0 Percentage in BEx Query Designer

    The BEx queries which I'm doing are ported to EP & client views all charts & data in portal only.
    I have a small requirement. My client requires to display 0% in the data output.
    Sample data is like
    Mon/Grade     A | B | C | D | E | F             " These are headings
    April                |     |    | 3  | 5 | 4 |  |           " These are data I got in BEx
    Required O/p
    Mon/Grade     A | B | C | D | E | F                  " These are headings
    April                |   0  | 0   | 3  | 5 | 4 | 0 |           " These are data I got in BEx
    My current formula is like
    > NODIV0( ( TEST1 * 12) %A TEST2 )
    What changes must I make so that 0% is displayed in the O/p? Please let me know earliest.
    P.S . The values TEST1 and TEST2 are 'Selections', which holds no data for those displaying values.

    Hi Kavitha,
    The problem  is I'm viewing the data in Web based BEX & not in BEX Analyser. So only.
    >            GROUP E GROUP D2 GROUP D1 GROUP C2
    >APR              6.0      46.0
    >MAY %           14.3      48.0      11.4      16.9
    >JUN %             11.6      16.2
    As you can see there's no data for the months-grade (Apr-GroupD1 etc).. Now, how to view it in portal with 0s for all the ones with no data?

  • Display apex report with subqueries

    How to display apex report with main query contains sub quires and sub query returns multiple values . Showing error sub query returns multiple rows.

    There is really two ways you can go about this. What it sounds to me like your dealing with is a master detail arrangement. What you probably need is two dependent reports where you pass a selected value from one report to a page item then key off that value for the 2nd report's query.
    Otherwise you could move the sub-query into the from portion of your master query and just pick the fields. This would then join the main query on the sub-query. At that point if you set your fields up correctly, you could use APEX grouping to group the results together and remove extra rows of data.

  • Bind option in report. How to change setting in Query Designer?

    Hello,
    Is there any way of changing the 'Bind display of textx/attributes in data provider result and in value help' in the portal. We can change this option from the report by right clicking on the characteristic -> Properties -> Characteristic -> Selecting the 'Advanced' tab. But we want to make a permanent change to this option from the query designer so that the users would not have to change it every time they run the report. Can anyone point to where I can make that change in the query designer or anywhere else if that works?
    There is a characteristic say 'XYZ'. It has a attribute 'ATTR'. We want to display the attribute alone in the column of the query. We are able to do so by bringing the characteristic 'XYZ' and dragging and dropping the attribute 'ATTR' under it. We then change the display options to make the characteristic as 'No dispaly'. But this affects not just the characteristic in the columns, but also in the Navigational blocks. So the users are not able to see any values while filtering. One way to fix this is to uncheck the 'Bind display of textx/attributes in data provider result and in value help' option after the report is executed which is an end user task. But we want to find out a way of changing this from the query designer, so that the users won't need to carry out his activity every time they run the report.
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    <p>There are a few ways that you can achieve this. If your SQL Queries have their filters modified (ie. WHERE clause) then this can be easily solved by adding report parameters to the Report filter. Search the in-product help for "Record Filter" and you should get a number of helpful resources returned.</p><p>Additionally, you can pass in java.sql.ResultSet objects with a populated recordset of the data you want to show in the report. We don&#39;t currently provide any tools to assist the creation of the code stubs for thick-client applications (like we do for JSP pages) however you can download a collection of thick-client sample code from here:</p><p><a href="http://support.businessobjects.com/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/crxi_r2_jrc_desktop_samples.zip">http://support.businessobjects.com/communityCS/FilesAndUpdates/crxi_r2_jrc_desktop_samples.zip</a> </p><p>As I mentioned, this sample contains a collection of code snippets. The one in particular you will be interested in is titled "JRCResultsetDatasource". Hopefully, this will provide you with a few options. </p><p>Regards,<br />Sean Johnson (CR4E Product Manager) </p>

  • Query designer report and Web Templates

    Dear All,
    I have a very basic/stup doubt.
    Are reports made through Bex Query Designer and Web Templates the same?
    Actually there is a following requirement:-
    "Navigate from a BW Web template to a PCUI application". I have a document related to it but it gives me step on how can i modify my web templates to achieve this functionality. But all my reports are made through query designer and it available to user through Web Dynpro portal.
    So i just wanted to know is Web Template and Reports made through query designer the same? So that i can implement the changes in my report.
    Thanks.

    Hi Anup,
    by using web templates we can use N number of data providers (Queries) for a single analysis view with various available options. - N number of Queries can be assigned to Web template to create a web report
    but by using the Query designer ,you can create a single report which may not provide sufficient information to the client and the number of features are less compared to web template.
    as you mentioned that you are using the web dynpro.
    i think the web dynpro requires the web reports as an iview and ths iview can be created by using the Query designer and or web app designer.
    so the most clear view can be given to client using the WAD reports
