Which SLD?

Hi All
We recently installed an in-house XI system along with Solution manager and we started using the SLD from the Solution manager, it works fine everywhere but the Integration Builder (Design and Config). Is there a setting somewhere we are missing here? When I try importing Application/Software components from the SLD within the Builder it points to the XI's SLD which we are not using.
Any ideas?
Regards
Ravi

hi,
yes you need to connect XI to the correct SLD
have a look at:
http://help.sap.com/bp_bpmv130/Documentation/Installation/XI30InstallGuide.pdf

  • Which SLD option should be used while Installing BI in SAP

    hi all,
I had installed my BI development server with local SLD. now while installing quality server i want to use the same SLD which is there in development.now while installation its ask for the option of choosing SLD.
can i choose use central SLD and give the host name of development SLD.is this the correct procedure or should i install using the option
    "Configure a local SLD"
    Regards,
    Priya

If you want to use the Development SLD then for QA you need to select the Central SLD option and then provide the host name and the port no of the Development server.
Decision of Local SLD vs. Central SLD totally depends on the system load. For PI systems generally it is recommended to have local SLD for each D, Q and P.
    Hope this helps.

  • Error while reading ID of own business system from the SLD for system D18

    Dear guru's,
I have almost completed a file2proxy scenario but I'm stuk on the following.
When sending a message the outbound adapter says:
<b>Error while reading ID of own business system from the SLD for system D18 and client 200</b>
What's the problem? I'm using a HTTP connection in the comm. channel. In this http connection a user with SAP_ALL is defined.
    Any suggestions?
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

      <SAP:Retry>M</SAP:Retry>
      </SAP:Error>

Login to system D18 and client 200 and check the TC SLDCHECK and also as per my pervious message check the entries in the SLDAPICUST, it should point to the Server on which SLD is present usually XI server https.
Actually what happens in this error is when you are done with the configuration part in the ID, you are trying to eceute the scenario File to proxy, when it comes to identify the receiver system which is D18 clnt 200, it goes to SLD to check it and SLD is trying to ping to the machine D18 this connection is set from the TC SLDAPICUST on the machine D18.
here the problem is that either the D18 is not able to ping to the SLD and also try refreshing the SLD cache.
    Hope you problem is fixed

  • How to register AS Java in Solman SLD right?

    Hello Community,
i have little difficulties with our solution manager (7.01). I want to register a java system (netweaver portal 7.3) for implementing support package stacks. But i don't know how to do it right.
    I tried it manually.
At first i created a server, then database and the product system in TA SMSY. My Product system is SAP NW 7.3 -> sid: GSP. The technical systems are: Java Extensions, AS JAVA, EP Core, Enterprise portal. All of them are relevant for the product system and assigned to a technical Java System.
When i start the mopz and create a new maintenance transaction i can see my system. Now i can choose:
Calculate Files Automatically - Recommended or Select Files Manually.
I want to chose the automatic version but i get this error: Wrong Input data: Wrong or higher EHP version found SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3
So how to do it right. Is there any way to register the java stack autmatically in the solman sld? Any ideas?
And is there any other way to get the support package stacks für a java stack? It is very hard to select and downlaod each of the nearly 100 packages manually.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Simon,
Please find below the steps to do this:
    1. Please confirm which SLD your SOLMAN is poiting to.(Is it local SLD itself or some other Central SLD).
    2. For Managed ABAP system, go to RZ70 of the managed system and put SLD details and send the data to SLD from there.
    3. For Managed Java system, if it is netWeaver 7.3, Login to NWA since you dont have VA in netweaver 7.3.
follow the below link to update the data supplier in netweaver 7.3. Once the you have all the details, push the data from this system to SLD.
        For Netweaver 7.3 Systems:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw73/helpdata/en/48/b682df96655295e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
For System where we have VA:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/ea/cd2e807e0e45bf9da67354f452fc05/content.htm
    4. Verify if your ABAP and Java data are available in SLD.
    5. If your landscape fetch job is running, it will automatically update your SOLMAN system, or go to transaction SMSY_SETUP and run the job. check once the landscape fetch job is finished in SM37.
    This should help.
Please avoid creating manuall entries. If you have created manuall entries in SOLMAN, delete them.
    Regards,
    Sunny

  • SMD registration in SLD

    Hello all,
Could some one help me with SMD registraion in central SLD
I added my agent to http://host:port/sld >technical system> type as standalone.
still during my diagnostic self check, I get msg, register SMD to SLD.
    Regards,
    Shyam.

    Hi Shyam,
do you configure or connect your Solution Manager to your Central SLD? You can check which SLD is used via the SMD Agent Administration page:
    http://<solution manager hostname>:<HTTP Port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdnavigation/StandaloneApp?APP_ID=ADMIN_AGENT
    or
Go to the SM Workcenter Diagnostics and click on Agent Administration
On the Agent Administration page click on the  Agent Candidates Management link:
    http://<solution manager hostname>:<HTTP Port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tcsmdserveragentadmin/SLDAgentCandidates
Here you can see which is your leading SLD for Solution Manager and SMD agents.
Also check the attached document from SAP Note 1148028 - Setup SLD in the scope of Solution Manager 7.0
    Hope this helps

    Hi
In SMSY_SETUP there is the Expert Setting : Multiple SLD Server which you mark with an X if you want to read from many SLD servers.  Can anyone help with how/where to configure which SLD servers to read from?  Does it read from SLDAPICUST and if so, is it possible to schedule this read from multiple servers automatically?
    Any help appreciated with points.

    Hi there..
    In the transaction LCRSERVADDR

  • Any performance impact on satellite systems?

    Hello,
Our productive solution manager are setup to connect to all the ECC, XI & R/3 systems, as central monitoring system.
So far we only use Solman for monitoring & EWA, not even BPM is configured yet.
in SMSY, it's configured to use our XI SLD, to auto collect all the database, server & system data for solman system landscape.
My question is: If there is downtime on Solman system, will it have any performance (slow transaction) on satellite system, especially on my XI system (as solman access the XI SLD).
The reason I post this question here is: recently we have downtime for solution manager due to SP upgrade, during the downtime, we noticed there are a lot (thousand) IDOCs processing messages to R/3 system stucks in XI for 1 of our application. Users starting to make complaints, and we try to find the root cause in XI, in R/3 ... involve our basis guy & also XI admins, but no one able to find why.
By the time PSM is up (after 2-3 hours), ALL the stuck messages in XI are manage to clear/process at once. And until now, on one able to explain why. They are suspecting my solution manager system downtime has the impact on those satellite system.
Solman is setup to use PXI's SLD.
Anyone has feedback on this, is it coincidently, or ?
Please share if you have knowledge on this topic
    Thank you

    Hi,
As per your description I would say it is pure coincidential.
When you configure Solution Manager for system monitoring and/or EWA, all Solution Manager does is to collect the relevant data from the sattelite systems. Just this.
So, when solution manager is not available there should be no reason for any impact on the sattelite systems side.
Also,  from your description, I would say your XI is getting SLD information from Solution Manager. This is the only reason I could figure out that IDOCs are getting stucked in XI.
Is it possibel to ask your XI guys to recheck which SLD XI is using?
    Regards
    Valdecir

  • Getting predefined XI content in CRM for connection to CM

    Hello,
we are trying to connect our credit management system with several other systems. According to SAP-Help predefined XI content exists for certain interfaces (e.g. CreditCommitmentNotification). We need to use this interface for two connections. For the FI-CA system everything is there. You can import the SWC FI-CA_XI and you have the necessary message interface in XI-repository and also the ABAP Proxy Classes are already implemented in the FI-CA System. So there you can configure the scenario to send the CreditCommitmentNotification to XI.
For CRM ABAP-Help says that there is the same message interface provided. It is needed to install Add On CRMIS 400. So we did that. But in CRM there are no proxy classes like in FI-CA and if you import SWC CRMIS 400 to the integration repository it is an empty SWC.
    Did we miss anything?
Do we have to download and import content into XI repository server? Where do I find this? Is in  XI CONTENT BBPCRM 4.0 the required data to import? Is there any overview for which Components predefined XI content exists   and which SLD-SWCs containing predefined XI content fit for certain versions of Add-Ons, Plug-Ins, Modules.
    Any helpful hints,
    (I already searched SAP-Help, service.sap.com/ibc, service.sap.com/swdc)
    regards

  • Issues and Trouble shooting steps in NWDI Track

Issue:  Getting below error while saving the track in NWDI.
ERROR:  SLD name-server configuration error: More than one name server configured in SLD
The message may also look as follows:
Unexpected error; inform your system administrator: < Localization failed:ResourceBundle='com.sap.cms.util.exception.CMSExceptionMessages' ,ID='SLD name-server configuration error', Arguments: [] > : Can't find resource for bundle java.util.PropertyResourceBundle, key SLD name-server configuration error. Please read SAP Note: 1118009.
Solution: As per SAP Note 1118009,
    1. Log on to the SLD used by CMS with SLD administrator authorization.(The address of the SLD used by CMS is contained in CMS WebUI in the Landscape Configurator in the domain data).
    2. Navigate to 'Administration -> Content Maintenance -> Subset:Landscape Description and Class: System Landscape Directory (or SAP_SystemLandscapeDirectory)
    3. At least two System Landscape Directories should now be found.
    4. Choose the first SLD to view the details. If the entry 'Name Server'exists under 'Roles, this SLD acts as name server.
    5. Return to the overview screen and choose the next SLD. Does this SLD also act as name server?
    6. Proceed until you know which SLDs act as name server.
    7. Since CMS accepts only one name server, you must decide which of the specified SLD servers should act as a name server in future.
    8. Once you have decided, remove the role 'Name Server' from all other SLDs. To do this, select the SLD server, and, under 'Roles' remove the role 'Name Server'. Save all of your changes.
    9. At the end, only one SLD server should have the 'Name Server' role. You can now save tracks in CMS again.

    Thanks for sharing the solution.

  • Configuration CMS

    Hi all
i have some questions regarding CMS
i have to implement CMS to transfer design object and configuration object to PRD from DEV.
    my XI environment;
DEV BOX, PRD BOX, SLD BOX, JDI(CMS) BOX. we have total 4 BOX.
    according to help.sap.com,
"You enter the server addresses for a maximum of three different Integration Repositories or Integration Directories: one for development (DEV, mandatory), one for consolidation (CONS, mandatory), and one for the productive environment (PROD, optional). Enter a URL with the following structure: http://<server>:<port>/rep/ or http://<server>:<port>/dir/."
is CONS BOX mandatory to implement CMS? We are not going to have CONS box.
    while following installation JDI,
step3a: Prepare the System Landscape Directory,
i have central sld as i mentioned, where do i work on?
SLD on JDI server, or my existing Central SLD?
and Step Register the SLD Server in the SLD
I do not understand because of two SLD, i am not clear this step.
what is that mean?  which SLDs for two sld?
    Thank You in advance.

  • Triggering the Self-Registration of the Adapter Engine ???

    Hi,
We have a central SLD. Also we have the SLD of XI.
When coming to the post configuration step of "Triggering the Self-Registration of the Adapter Engine" it is said to
Restart the application <b>com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app</b> to trigger the SLD self-registration of the central Adapter Engine.
    1.        In which SLD should i restart it ?
    2.    if it is in XI SLD, then i can see <b>com.sap.aii.af.cpa.app</b> this under three options (EJBContainer, LogConfigurator, metamodelrepository) in the right hand pane of DEPLOY in the XI Visual Administrator.
Request you kindly answer these questions.
    Thanks
      Sourav

    Could solve this.
Go to Deploy option in Visual Administrator, on the right hand pane, select "Applications" radio button and you will find the com.sap.aii...., just select that stop it and again start it.
      Thats it...
      Thanks

  • Sync job failed - Set up LMDB

    Hello SAP gurus,
we're performing the initial configuration of the SOLMAN 7.1 for Enterprise Linux 5 and Oracle 11G.
After setting up the LMDB, the synch batch (SAP_LMDB_LDB_0000000001) executed every 10 minutes fails, and the message prompted in the log does not seem very helpful, neither have I find anything in the web:
Sync job failed with error: Source and target model vers. are lower than the r ***
Any idea? Could it be the server object name? I haven't requested any in http://service.sap.com/namespaces but use one I defined. Is that really necessary? My user does not have permits to launch that request.
    Thanks. Raúl.

    Hello,
Which SLD are you using to sync to LMDB.
Check the SLD version and SLD content version.
    Follow the document:
Landscape Management Database (LMDB) - Setup Guide
    Check this guide at:
    https://websmp102.sap-ag.de/support
In Knowledge Exchange-> Ramp up knowledge transfer.
Go to SAP Solution Manager 7.1-> Setup and Operation
    This should help.
