Which Workflow Populates W_GL_OTHER_F?

Hi:
I'm missing lots of records from the W_GL_OTHER_F table. Something similar happened to me with the W_GL_BALANCE_F table, and the problem had to do with the load method used in the workflow; I had to change the load method from BULK to NORMAL. I'm thinking that the same problem is occurring with the load of the W_GL_OTHER_F table. The problem is, I can't find the workflow that populates this table.
So my question is, what workflow(s) populate the W_GL_OTHER_FS and W_GL_OTHER_F tables?
Thanks.

Hi,
Apart from informatica You can also try other one other option, if you like. Try to find the same thing using DAC, sometimes Using DAC you can quickly identify what all informatica sessions yuou would like to take a look at.
top do that , Login to DAC, Design ,Tables
put W_GL_OTHER_F in query
once the record ciome up, look for the tab Target for Tasks
it will give you what all informatica workflows load this table.
similarly do the operation for W_GL_OTHER_FS

    Hi guys
    Hoping someone can help.
I've a list of particular notfication messages, which are stored in the WF_MESSAGES_TL and WF_MESSAGES table, and I need to find out which workflows use them.
Can anyone tell me what table I can query to find this out ?
There's no referential integrity which I can use to find this out, and google has turned up nothing so far.
    Any ideas ?
    Thanks a lot

You can use this and tweak it around:
    select p.process_item_type, p.process_name, p.activity_name, a.message
    from wf_process_activities p, wf_activities a
    where p.process_item_type=a.item_type and
    p.activity_name=a.name and
a.end_date is null;-- means the active/current activity

I was not able to find any mapping that populates W_INVOICE_FS staging table.
    Thanks

Also, another useful tool I've found is this:
    Open DAC Client.
    Design.
Select the Tasks tab (in the top region).
Right click any of the tasks, select Output Task Description.
This creates an .html file (e.g. C:\OracleBI\DAC\log\tasks\tasks.html) that lists a lot of useful information, if you're looking to review/identify source/target tables.

  • How to know which workflow is triggered by an event

    Dear all,
We have a event of a object type.
    Say: EVE1 of obj ZOBJ1.
And this is used as a triggering event in a workflow.
We need to identify which is the workflow.
    How should we find that?
    Regards,
    Vivek

    Hi Vivek,
    Consider this simple example.
Your work flow will trigger whwn ever the purchase order is created.
So for PO number 600023234 the workflow was already triggered.
Then go to SWI6 and give the BOR name as BUS2012 and the Object key as  600023234.
It will displays how many workflows were triggered based on that BOR and the PO number 600023234.
    Thanks.

  • RAW vs JPEG - Help! which workflow is best for me.

Up until now I have been using a RAW workflow for all the obvious reasons (full control of image manipulation) but I am having difficulty keeping on top of things. Let me explain a little bit more:
1st from my specs below you can see that I'm on a slow system for raw processing.
2nd I am not a pro, just a travel photographer who is currently on the road long term in India.
3rd I am shooting a lot and keywording/rating successfully. I am also doing some serious culling but not 10% keeping, more like 25-30% so I do have some volume. Some of these images are three star (I follow bagel's 3 level rating), most are two star and a few one star.
I'm struggling to keep on top of the two and three star ones as every day I'm adding more and more. I could leave the vast majority of the processing until I return home in 5 months (I'd rather be out shooting in India than in my guesthouse processing) but it will be a mountain of work and slow going.
The three star ones I don't mind putting in the time with RAW processing but there's a lot of two star ones which are nice pictures but I don't want to be having to process each and everyone of them. For some of them it would be nice to have it out of the camera ready to go.
My plan is therefore to now shoot RAW+JPEG. I will keep all RAW files but will work with the jpegs initially. So a lot of the two star images will be ready to go. If there are major problems with the white balance or other camera interpretation then on those I will revert to the RAW files. On the three star images, I will then use the RAW files to really get the most out of them.
I know a lot of you are RAW purists and would not be happy with any in camera processing, and I respect that and do strive for that myself but for the moment in my current situation (equipment performance, volume etc) it's doesn't seem possible to keep on top of everything.
Would be grateful for any comments, tips, critiques and advice on my workflow and whether the above is the best decision to take overall for now based on my existing circumstances (I do hope to get a faster computer but that won't be happening just yet)
    Ross

I am one of those RAW purists, but understand the need sometimes for JPEG. E.g. my D100 was too slow shooting RAW. Also I did use that same G4 PB for Aperture for quite a long time.
My guess is that dealing with a mixed RAW and JPEG workflow will add more time than just carefully dealing with RAW only, but you will have to determine that empirically with your files on your computer, because larger files definitely do slow down that G4 PB. I suggest:
It seems to me that your primary needs on location are to cull, rank and keyword. You do not need Previews for those purposes, so turn off Preview-building. Only build Previews when your laptop is otherwise not being used, and keep Previews a civilized size, perhaps the size of your PB display.
Important: offload enough from your PB hard drive to keep it half full for speed. Use Referenced Masters on external FW800 drive(s) and keep them half full too.
Cull aggressively right away and fully delete the culled files. Then make another pass for ranking and keywording individual files.
If it is still too slow try just dealing with JPEGs and archiving the RAW files for later. Good luck!

  • AVCHD editing in Final Cut Studio 2 vs. HDV?  Which workflow is smoother?

How is AVCHD editing in Final Cut Studio 2 compared to HDV?
I am in the process of buying a new camcorder.
Thinking about the Canon HV30, but I am considering AVCHD and the HG 10 or HF 10.
I just heard that AVCHD is tough to edit... Is this true?
I have a 24" iMac 2.8GHz Extreme Core 2 Duo with 4 Gb RAM, and I wonder if that would be enough horsepower to edit AVCHD. I also have a 1 terabyte Raid for storage.
I love the idea of being able to just transfer over clips rather than Log and Capturing through an entire dv tape, but is the workflow of AVCHD more work in the long run.
I am more concerned with workflow than even picture quality.
I have so far only worked in SD... so any thoughts from people with hands on experience and can give a good comparison of the two workflows would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

AVCHD isnt any harder to edit then HDV. We are running the SONY EX1 which is Sold State Camera. You have to use Sony XDCam Transfer software to get it into FCP.
    Here is what we found.
AVCHD is a lot faster to ingest (ive found 4x realtime) and because you have to use the Sony XDcam Software for transfers you end up with better Loggin metadata (mostly because its easier at the time of transfer)
AVCHD is more expensive to run currently. With 16GB cards giving you 57 minutes of video they cost about 400 Pounds a card (im in the UK). On the plus side is you can view your footage instantly with a MacBooK Pro using the ExpressCard slot to plugin your solid state card and XDcam Viewer software.
Backup can be done in one of to ways. Use a SONY XDCam deck and store the footage on their XDCam Cartridges (way too expensive option). or use external Hardisk (we use 2 one for storage on location and second for Backup and later on for long term Storage in our Library).
When it comes to HDV we use the HDV-Z1 cameras and the process with the Z1 is just the same as with a consumer Level DV camera. It takes longer to ingest video because its realtime. But once in it runs fine. For backup its already done by the tape and again we store all Footage on Harddisk for long term storage once the project is done with the Tapes as backups. Oh.. and also the tapes are really cheap compared to the Solid state cards.
I have to say i was happy with AVCHD at first because the initial setup was very expensive. BUt once setup the workflow is smoother and faster the HDV tape based system. I do find the quality to be better as well on AVCHD.
    I hope that helps

  • I need a combo box with 4 values to choose from which will populate a text box on the form with text related to each combo box selection

    For example:
    Combo box choices:
    apple
    tomato
    squash
    Pumpkin
The text box depending on the selection above would state the color:
Green        (if Apple was chosen from the combo box
Red           (if Tomato was chosen from the combo box
Yellow       (if Squash was chosen from the combo box
Orange      (if Pumpkin was chosen from the combo box
I am very new at this and have spent hours looking for an answer.  Thank to anyone in advance who can help!

Place each value as the export value of the options in the combo-box and then use this code as the text field's custom calculation script:
    event.value = this.getField("ComboBox Name").value;

  • Which workflow patterns to use

    Hello,
    have very basic question.
Using BPMNfor document a business process.
Ho do I document the fact that the function/ actiivty can be performed
"by person type A in single approver mode" OR "by person type B in a single approver mode".
Basically the activity can be performed by 2 roles and EACH role works in single-approver mode.

    Hi,
as far as I remember, Tobago is not compatible with JSF 1.2. I worked with Oracle's ADF over a year ago and I remember, that we had some compatibility problems. And if I also recall correctly, Trinidad is the "JSF compatible" version of ADF. ADF was donated by Oracle to the Apache foundation and is now called "Trinidad". You can use both "MyFaces" and "Trinidad" components within the same webapp. That should give you enough components to work with.
    Hope, that helps.

  • Which Invoice Approval workflow

    Hi folks,
I am on 12.0.6 and need to understand which workflow is being used out of the box for the invoice approval.
I looked at the AP Implementation Guide and also User Guide, they both mention 'AP Invoice Approval'.
Now if I pull 'AP Invoice Approval' flow from the database it also comes with 'AP Invoice' workflow which has 'Invoice Apporval main' process which looks like being invoked based off the event.
So my question - could someone please clarify/confirm that the 'AP Invoice Approval' is being used for the invoice approval and how 'AP Invoice' is being used for the invoice approval, I mean when/where 'AP Invoice' comes into picture?
    Thank you

    Hi Anatoliy,
Can you please raise this query in payables forum (You have logged with procurement )
They would be able to assist you.

  • Canon HF10 or 100 vs. HV 30 workflow:  Which one is less painful?

I am in the market for a new camcorder.
Would love to hear from people who have hands on time with the Canon HV20 or 30 and Canon HF 10 or 100 and can talk about which workflow is smoother.
I realize that with HDV you have to log and capture the tape realtime; and AVCHD you must convert it to Apple ProRes 422 or AIC before editing.
What I want to know is which process is less painful. I am more concerned with the workflow than picture quality or storage issues.
Thank you for you thoughts in advance.

I work with a canon HV20 and have had no real problems with it. The only problems I have had have been user based when I was first figuring out the workflow. As you will find if you were to search for this topic (since it is brought up so many time) is that all you will need to do is import it as HDV Easy Setup and make sure you set your sequence settings to rener apple Pro Res. Once you have that you should have no problem. Hope that helps, In my opinion for the price and the amazing picture quality you really can't beat the HV20.

  • Payroll area locked. How to Stop the workflow during this period ?

    Dear experts,
In the travel workflows, after all the approvals, there is a standard task(Custom) with a custom method(BUS2089 Enhanced).
This method updates the infotype 2002 (Attendances). This works fine for the whole month except during the  payroll run which will be for 3-4 days after 20th of every month.
We have maintained the exception for this when the control record is in the status '1' or '4', by passing a temporary error to the workflow.
    SELECT SINGLE * FROM t569v WHERE abkrs = 'Z0'.
    IF sy-subrc EQ 0 AND ( t569v-state EQ '1' OR
                           t569v-state EQ '4' ).
return-message_v1 = 'Employee Master data locked for Payroll'.
      exit_return 1001 return-message_v1 return-message_v2
                       return-message_v3 return-message_v4.
As i understand the workflows can be restarted after solving the temporary errors. But this Temp error will only be solved after the payroll record is becomes 'Exit Payroll'.
The system attempts for 3 times in the period of 30 minutes and then the tempoarry error becomes a permanent error and this way the workflows goes into a permanent error which cannot be restarted even after the payroll is exit.Due to this may workflows are unable to update the Infotyp 2002 however their trips are approved at all levels.
This counter of 3 times and 30 minutes, I belive the system is taking from the error monitoring program (RSWWERRE / SWWERRE) in SWU3.
I am thinking of putting the workflow into 'Wait' state till the period when the Payroll is locked. This way , we can avoid the workflow even from going into temporary error.
Can anyone help in this regard ? Do we need to add a WAIT step in the WF Definition or control in the method code itself ?
Does WAIT UNTIL (ABAP Keyword) works for 3-4 days of payroll run if we implement in the method code itself?

Edited by: Sameer Anwar on Aug 20, 2011 9:45 AM

    Hi Sameer,
But , Can you pls put some more information on why we need to avoid WAIT UNTIL in Tthe ABAP ?
Wait Steps are only used where you have 1 event which the workflow would expect ...moreover this would require more effort in terms of implementation...( you will have to create an event manually after your payroll is open).
I would suggest create an virtual attrubute of the BO  which will populate a whetherr the Payroll is locked or unlocked... then use this attribute as a start condition in the conditions tab of your step. this would stop the workflow until the payrol is open...
