For several years I have used a prepaid reloadable Visa debit/credit card to pay for my Skype subscriptions. My current card expires at the end of November, so I have now been issued a new card and it is active. My new card has the exact same account number. Only the expiry date, and my private security code, have changed. I am not able to just update the expiry date of my credit card in my Skype account settings as there is no option for that in those settings. In order to use my new credit card I have to delete my old credit card information. However, when I was about to do that I got a message that in order to delete my old credit card I must first cancel my Skype subscriptions. This makes no sense to me. I do not want to cancel my Skype subscriptions because I do not own any other phone so it is essential to me. Also, I have a Skype call-in number that I want to keep. If I am required to cancel my subscriptions in order to add my new credit card, I will lose that number, which will be a major pain in the ass for me. All I need to do is provide Skype with my new expiry date of my new Visa card, but there is no easy way to do that. Why not? And why is it so hard to get any answers from actual Skype employees? Why does Skype treat long-time paying customers like this?

The trial would expire after 30 days and you would not have to cancel it.
In case you would like to uninstall the software, please follow the below steps:
Before you uninstall, close all applications currently running on your system—including other Adobe applications, Microsoft Office applications, and browser windows.
Do one of the following:
In Windows XP, open the Windows Control Panel and double-click Add or Remove Programs. Select the product that you want to uninstall, click Change/Remove, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
In Windows 7, open the Windows Control Panel and double-click Programs and Features. Select the product that you want to uninstall, click Uninstall, and then follow the onscreen instructions.
IMPORTANT: Mac OS has new uninstall functionality. DO NOT drag applications to the trash to uninstall them. To safely uninstall on Mac OS X, double-click the product installer in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers or double-click the Uninstall alias located in the Application folder. Select Remove Preferences, then Authenticate as an Administrator and follow the onscreen instructions.

    Suddenly all my tabs closed. Then Windows told me I had a gazillion infections. Then a tiny strip appeared saying it was Firefox and these little blocks started to fill up the little strip as if it were downloading something--there was no way to cancel this so I cut the power.     The main problem with malware is that it uses the installation to proliferate by contacting hostile servers to download more of the same rogue code.
    Firefox doesn't have the option to "Run" a file. You can only "Save File" or "Cancel". If you downloaded it with IE8, then yes, you can run it, but that's not what I wanted you to do.
    What you should do now is to disable System Restore. You can open System Properties by hitting the Windows logo key and Pause/Break key together. Then click the "System Restore" tab. Then checkmark the box which says "''Turn off System Restore on all drives''". Reboot to clear its contents. System Restore unfortunately makes a backup of all executables which includes viruses so that when you reboot without deleting them first, System Restore reinstates them again.
    After you complete that step, run Avast and Malwarebytes again to make sure the system is clean.
    Then go to the Windows Update site (link on your start menu) and install the missing patches which enabled your machine to become infected in the first place.
    Once the system is clean, repeat step one to download Firefox again, but please do not run the file. If you don't see the option to "Save File", cancel the download, but it should be there.   • Verizon's failure, why do I have to pay?

    As a long-time - and still current - customer of Verizon, I'm shocked at how poorly I am being treated. I cancelled my phone in December because my company gave me a phone (also Verizon). At that time I gave Verizon my new mailing address, email, and phone number- which they did not update in their system. So they continued to mail my final bill to my old address, which never made it to me, until now.
    They did not email, they did not call; they instead sent the bill to collections. I called Verizon and paid the outstanding bill, come to find out after the fact that I am also required to pay the fee for collections. They, however, did not tell me this at the time I made my payment (another mistake by Verizon), I was informed by the collection agency that I am required to pay them or my credit report will be negatively affected. Verizon dropped the ball. They did not send the bill to the right address, they did not call, they did not email. The sent it to collections.
    Of course no one at Verizon will work with me, a good customer. I'm waiting for someone's supervisor to call, yet I have little faith that they will give a crap about little ol' me. I just want Verizon to take some accountability for their shortcomings in this situation. Why do I have to pay for their mistake? What more should I have done? This is unfair.

    I verified my information over the phone with a customer service representative when I called to cancel my account. I'm not sure how I could have verified that they properly put this into the system, other than getting verbal confirmation - which I did. They got the new email address correct, I know this because when I called this week to settle my bill, I received a confirmation to the correct email address. However, the mailing address apparently was not updated properly - as per my request - in the system. If you go into MyVerizon under Account Profile, your billing address is listed along with the option to change it. By making changes to your account, you have real time confirmation of the changes. - So you're saying not to trust the customer service representatives? I'm required to make sure they do simple tasks properly? Besides, I was canceling my account - why would I then go online to change my account that I just cancelled - especially since I just verbally gave my new information? Again, the root of this issue that you are not responding to goes back to the fact that the customer service representative did not do as I requested and update my address - which is why I never received notification. Had this been done properly, none of this would have happened.
    I just received a pile of mail from the post office of mail that did not get transferred to my new address - of which included the bill from Verizon and the notification from collections. I had assumed that the lack of correspondence - via mail, email and phone - from Verizon meant that my account was settled. Personally, I don't make it a habit of calling businesses and asking them if I owe them money. I expect them to contact me. Unless you sign up for email notifications from Verizon for you bill, they will not send it via that method. It appears that they DID try to contact you when they sent the bill to your old address. It also appears that you failed to use a FREE service from the US Postal Service which forwards your mail to a new address for up to a year. I have done this in the past, it works and only delays mail for a few days. Plenty of time to get your final bill in time for payment without being overdue. I can understand not contacting businesses to see if you owe them money, but you cancelled service. If I were to cancel service, I would assume that I either owed money or due a refund and would make sure which it was. - I was set up to receive email notifications from Verizon - a service I used for that account for years.  I did have my mail forwarded through the post office, but some was still delivered to the old address anyway and it just made it's way to me now. Verizon's lack of contact with me lead me to believe that either 1)the account was settled, or 2)any remaining balance was transferred to my new account - which I do not see the bill for as my company pays for it.
    Why would Verizon not try to contact me via email or phone? Sending an overdue bill to collections is a big deal - it affects my credit report. Does Verizon care so little about it's customers that they wouldn't even try to contact by email before making such a drastic move?Even if simply to verify the mailing address?This seems to be as much your failing(if not more) as it is Verizon's failing. As you say, it is YOUR credit report, not Verizon's. You have more of a stake in this than they do, why wouldn't you follow up in this matter? Even if simply to verify the mailing address? - Again, going back to the root of this issue - CUSTOMER SERVICE. I should be able to expect that if I tell someone my new address, it will be reflected in the system. I should be able to assume that I would be notified by email for a matter like this, especially since they have my email and have permission to use it and had been using it for years to notify me of bills, why stop now? Why is the buck passed to me to pay this new fee for a mistake that originated with Verizon? Why can't Verizon admit any wrong doing at the root of this issue - where they dropped the ball?

    I took a subscription for a skype number in June, thinking it was only for three months. I no longer need it but discover I have just been billed for the coming three months, even though I will not need it or be using it. I can find no way to communicate this problem with Skype folks.     You also need to cancel the Skype Number subscription from your account dashboard (Manage Subscriptions).  If you cannot do this, then please contact Skype customer service who can cancel the subscription.

    If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.

    Go into the iPad's Settings.
    Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.

If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
    Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
    To upgrade using iTunes:
    First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
    You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
    Now you are ready to begin the process:
    If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
    Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
    After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
    If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
    After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
    From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
    After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
    After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.

    I would like to have a full explaination about why my purchase was cancelled.

    I called in and was told that there was an error on the international shipping information on Best Buy's end and that caused the purchase to be cancelled.
    So I spoke to a customer rep who helped setup me up with another purchase of the same laptops.

    The only problem is..
    1. I lost out on the open box item that was almost $50 cheaper than the new item.
    2. The exchange rate disparity makes my purchase $40 more per laptop.
    This in effect adds $130 - $150 to the original purchase on an issue that I did not cause.
    Plus, due to this delay, the laptops will arrive the day of my arrival at the hotel which leaves very little time for issues in delivery.  I like having my purchases at the hotel a few days ahead of my arrival.
    Sadly, this is my first bad experience with Best Buy and I normally have no issues with buying items from Best Buy and having them sent to my hotel that I am staying at when visiting the US.
    I would like to be compensated for the price disparity mentioned above.  I am a loyal customer to Best Buy and have made many purchases from Best Buy online in the past.

    Because of different local copyright laws and licensing you cannot keep everything exactly the same except for iCloud, which is not affected. You will have to create a new Apple ID for use on the UK iTunes Store with a form of payment drawn on a local bank and an address in the UK. As long as you have downloaded all your purchases and the computer is still authorized to play all protected video content that won't change, however Apps may give you trouble when updating because once associated with an Apple ID you can only switch between stores every 90 days.
    As for iTunes Match you must contact Australian iTunes Store support to cancel the subscription and you will have to resubscribe on the UK store.

    I followed the steps:
    1) Went to my subscription page and clicked on settings. New page opened.
    2) There I had two options: View your stored payment details or Cancel subscription. I clicked on Cancel subscription. New page opened.
    3) Skype asks if I'm sure I want to give up my subscription. I have two options: Ok, Ill stay or Thanks but no thanks, I still want to cancel. I click on the latter. I click on Thanks but no thanks, I still want to cancel. It couldn't be more clear that i click on that option since that it my entire purpose of being there in the first place. And guess what happened. New page opened. Only this page is my subscription page (see step 1). It is as if skype doesn't acknowledge step 2 and 3. as if my whole journey through page after page never happened and I have to redo the whole thing again and again....with the same devastating results.
    I want to CANCEL MY MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION. The link to cancel the subscription,  seems to me, is a freaking illusion. And skype is making money off me against my consent.
    So I am here begging and pleading with the almighty skype to just cancel my *edited for profanity* monthly subscription before I lose my mind.
