Why I cannot print

Please help me. I've iMac, Adobe Reader XI, cannot print, only blank pages coming out of printer. No problems with Words or Excel, can print same pdf file in Preview though. Help please.

Why I cannot print a PDF with markups?

We use Acrobat Standard 7.0.8 and cannot print a PDF document form with markups. We found a "quick fix" to print it, which was to select in the print dialogue to print Document and Markups.
Question:
Because we've sent the form to our clients, they several have reported this about the form. Do you know why this would happen? Is it that they are using a different version of Adobe? Or what is the problem?

That's the way the application works. If you think the default should be to print the markups send a feature request to Adobe, but I doubt it will happen. You just need to explain to your clients how to do it. It's quite simple.

Why I cannot print pdf files on my printer after update to Adobe Reader 10.1.3??

Recently I update to Adobe Reader 10.1.3 and now I cannot print pdf files on my printer (bizhub C5501), why? Is anyone out

Cannot print or scan

I have an HP 3070A printer/scanner connected to my computer via USB, using Windows 7 (64 bit)
I used to be able to print and scan.
Could print but cannot scan yesterday. Tried all sorts of ways recommended by the forum. Now I cannot not print nor scan.
I am very frustrated.
Can anyone help?

I noticed your posts and understand you cannot scan or print. My first suggestion would be to run the HP Print and Scan Doctor which should give you a reason as to why you cannot print or scan.
You can also try Resetting the Printer, restarting the router (unplug for 1 minute, do not touch any buttons on the router) and restarting the computer. (This is if you are wirelessly connected).
Please let me know the results from the Dr. and also include how you're connected (USB, Ethernet, Wireless).

I cannot print from windows xp to a usb printer using airport extreme v5

I just bought the new airport Extreme, loaded Bonjour on a lenovo t400 running win xp sp3.
I can print with the printer plugged in to the computer but cannot print using the bonjour setup. I can print from my Imac connected to the airport extreme (hard wired) and wirelessly from my macbook.
I have no issues connecting to the web through the Airport Extreme with the PC.
I have all the proper drivers installed.
the Printer in question is a lexmark P910 Series and the drivers loaded with bonjour.
Any thoughts on why I cannot print using the PC?

Unfortunately, not all USB printers are compatible with AirPort base stations. In addition, the AirPort's USB port does not support the "advanced" printer functions, like scanning, copying or faxing, of multi-function printers.
To see if your printer is compatible, take a look at thisiFelix Unofficial AirPort Printer Compatibility link. If your printer isn't listed, it doesn't necessarily mean it won't work, but simply that it has not been verified. iFelix also provides the following workaround for printers not on the list that would certainly be worth a try.
Also you can try this Apple Tech Support article to see if it will help: Printer troubleshooting for AirPort Base Stations and Time Capsule
Finally, check out this IBM support article to see if your printer is listed as having a Postscript or PCL3 interface. If it does, then it will most likely work with the AirPort's USB port. Printers that use the "HP LIDIL" interface must be connected to a computer directly and will not work.

MAC OS 10.9 some users cannot print to new Ricoh MP C6502 print job is holding for authentication and cannot figure out why

I have a few IMAC and G5 users who have OS10.9 who cannot print to a new Richoh MP C6502, I downloaded and installed the new PS driver and it works on some systems but I have 3 people that goes right to Hold for Authentication. I tried deleting everything associated with this in keychain access and after I did this it comes up to enter a password and it accepts the network login credentials but still holds the print job. I even tried using guest as login and password as someone suggested but still cannot print any ideas on why?

OK. I switched the printer's Ethernet cable to a Linksys Switch (Model EZX S55W) that's part of this local network. That did not work. I swapped out the cable for one that I know works. Still no change. I switched the printer's Ethernet cable directly to a port on the router. No change. I even swapped cables here, too, but no success.
As I was doing all this, I was wondering: When I select the HP P1606dn printer in the Print and Fax "Add" dialog box, (see the image below) and the Print Using pulldown menu displays "Please select a driver or printer model" and the message "Searching for new drivers" appears under it (with the spinning wheel), why is it that the Ethernet connection to printer is critical to "finding" a new (printer) driver?
Isn't the utility searching through my system and libraries looking for a printer driver app for the printer that I identified/selected in the dialog box?
After all, if the dialog box lists the printer among those to choose from, hasn't the utility already discovered the printer via the Ethernet connection?

I had one printer that I use and it was not printing anything in black from documents. It will print colors. I can make a copy and it will print in black. I can print a scan and it prints black. I called the manufacturer, LexMark and they want me to pay them to help me fix it. I happened to think I have an old printer that was my father-in-laws, who passed away. So I hooked upt that printer and installed it to my computer. It is doing the same thing. That makes me think it is not printer specific that it is computer specific.

You're sure that you set the printer up correctly?
Did you try restarting the printer and the iPad?
Have you looked for a firmware update for the printer on the Brother website?
Does the printer work with your computer - assuming that you have a computer that is?

I cannot print PDF's with XI on Windows7/ Dell XP and a Dell A940 Printer. Why ?I use to be able.

I use to be able to print PDF's on an older version of Acrobat.Since I uploaded to XI , I cannot print from Adobe but I can print from Word and others .I have tried removing XI and going back to an older version with the same result. I get a prompt that states "This application has failed to start because DLBAGF.DLL was not found.Re-installing this application may fix this problem. And another -"AcroRd32.exe-unable to locate componet" and finally "Can not load library DLBAPRP.DLL using defaults,error 126.Any one else in my boat?

Why does IE 9 say internal error and cannot print to Color Laserjet 2600n?

IE 9 displays message "Internal error, cannot print page" when I try to print to a networked Color Laserjet 2600n. Printing works well on my other networked HP printer.

The windows 8 driver for this printer should be available in late January. Please bookmark this site and visit it for up to date information. Also located on this site are links to documents for the network workaround and the in-os document.

As a test, I did install this using the windows 7 drivers, it printed fine but I received a pop up giving me an error printing but it still printed. I then used the network work around to shut the bi-di off and the pop up went away, again it printed fine. I would suggest if you use the windows 7 drivers, that you upgrade to the windows 8 drivers when they are available.

Since updating to Firefox 4.0.1 I cannot print a web page, why?

I can print fine from regular printing but I cannot go into printer properties, it says "prop res DLL not loaded". I tried reinstalling the printer driver and same thing happens. This has been happening since I updated firefox to 4.0.1. What can I do?

Not sure what you are saying, what printer? what laptop? what network? what have you tried? but it sounds like you do not have the printer driver for the printer you use, on your laptop.
Find the make and model and go to their website and look for the Mac Printer software and install it.
Perhaps you do have it installed but haven't found it. Look down the list next to Printer: in the print dialog.
I assume you have found the envelope templates in Pages' Template Chooser?

HP Color Laserjet 1600 cannot print in color with Pages 09

Hi, everybody!
I got a huge problem for me that the HP Color Laserjet 1600 cannot print in color with Pages 09 after I upgrade to 10.6.1. It worked very well in 10.5.8. Since there is no official driver from HP website for 1600, so I used foomatic/foo2hp as the driver.
It is very strange that I can print in color with Safari and Preview in 10.6.1, but cannot with Pages 09. When I print with Pages 09, it always shows that the print job was completed but my printer was nothing happened.
I just re-install the 10.6 OS "complete new", install the printer driver with the instructions on this forum.
It would be high appreciated if somebody can help me on it!

Why doesn't MAC just give us the driver for the HP Color Laserjet 1600? It's one of the most popular home based business laserjets. It's the one I use and a lot of other people in business use it so I'm at a loss as to why they don't.
I bought my MAC Pro tower for video editing and I can't print from it and have had to reinstall the OS on it once already because Safari wouldn't open a window. So much for the MAc advertising statement of "We're so much easier to use."
After spending close to $10,000 on MAC equipment, Tower, Laptop, Monitor, etc. if they think I'm going to spend more for a new printer just because I can't get a driver to print they're thinking wrong. I going to re-think my new cell phone purchase too. Has anyone had software issuses with their phones before I go out and buy one?

Cannot print or scan with USB printer over wifi from airport express / time capsule wifi

Hi everybody,
I have recently set up time capsule connected to the router from the telephone company but created a new wifi network for the time machine to better work. Now I have bought an airport express to be able to use my USB printer over the WIFI network. I have to laptops, the printing works fine over the mac book air but not over the macbook pro. On top of that I cannot scan with either of the devices.
I have scanned most of the information out there but this issue seems not to be addressed properly anywhere. Advices given do always repeat itself but no solution worked for me.
Now I have plugged the usb from the printer directly back into mac book pro and the problem seems to persist here too. The message I receive everywhere is this one:
The software for the printer was installed incorrectly.
Would you like it to be repaired?
When I hit the Repair button a notice says 'repairing permissions' but nothing really happens. In the end nothing has been printed.
Resetting the printing systems has not really changed anything either. The problems persist.
This is the screen I get when the printer is directly plugged in through USB:
Result: printer recognised and installed, I cannot print (The software for the printer was installed incorrectly), but I can scan (probably because of the hint ('multifunction')
When I try to install the printer through the network connection (wifi network over time capsule and airport express) I get this image:
Result: printer recognised over bonjour but without multifunction (in other words without scanning), I cannot scan nor print (The software for the printer was installed incorrectly)
As I already mentioned any solution I found online would not work. Now the qustions are:
1) why can't I print? The drivers seem to be there but somehow broken, and I don't know how to repair it
2) why can't I scan over wifi? It sould possible that any function that can be performed over cable should also be able to performable over air, right?
I would very much appreciate any kind of help.

What's up doc?
HP has not provided "network" drivers to allow advanced features when the the All-in-One is connected to the USB port on the Time Capsule.
Therefore, only the printing function is supported when the All-in-One is connected to the Time Capsule's USB port.
If you need advanced features like fax, copy, scan, maintenance etc., you will need to connect over the WiFI network, or connect the All-in-One directly to your computer.

Cannot Print PDF's

Before today I could print anything just fine to my HP CP1025NW. Today, however, I can no longer print PDF's at all from either Adobe Acrobat Pro or Preview. Sometime's it says connecting to printer for a while and then just says error and sometime I get the following error:
Error: /library/printers/hp/laserjet/cp 1020 series/hpcp1020 failed
I think this is a Mac issue because I have a friend that this happened to as well and hers is a totally different printer, different manufacturer and everything.
I haven't changed anything overnight with either the macbook or printer as far as firmware or anything else so I'm not really sure why it just stopped working.
Anybody else had a problem like this?

Yes, I am having this issue as well, getting this error:
Library/Printers/hp/laserjet/cp1020series/hpcp1020filter.plugin/Contents/Resourc es/hpcp1020 failed
I can print everything except pdfs for labels purchased at USPS.com. It is maddening.
USPS.com support asked me to remove Adobe Air which I did. All the settings and Firefox and Adobe Reader versions were correct, according to them. Nothing works.
I even save the PDF and cannot print. I reinstalled all software/drivers/firmware for my HP printer. No go.
The only way I can print is to save as pdf, open with Adobe Photoshop, and then save and then print.
I have no issues printing postage labels from the eBay software.
