Why ? installing SolMan 7.0 MS SQL server cannot get info about acct sidadm

While installing SolMan on Windows 2003 SQL 2005 64bit OS the install stops and will not continue
with the following error
NOTE: I am installing on 64bit OS as we already have on 32bit OS and need to migrate it over to 64bit
MS SQL server cannot get informatin about account cityacct\sidadm
the log recommends to execute the following command in SQL
master..xp_logininfo 'CITYACCT\sidadm'
I get the error
Could not obtain information about Windows NT group/user ''CITYACCT\sidadm' error code 0x5
I am soooo stuck , I have been researching and researching even with SAP and no answer yet, has anyone had this issue and how can I get past it?

SQL Server 2012 express istallation failing to install "Database Engine Service" and "SQL Server Replication"

I ran SQL Server 2012 express setup as user with administrator privileges and still it's failing to install "Database Engine Service" and "SQL Server Replication".
Any and every ideas on how to resolve this issue is greatly appreciated.

Three weeks passed and I am yet to find a fix for the the failed installation of the database engine on sql server 2012 express installation. I have tried various work-around including uninstalling, deleting all the directory paths, and reinstallation. Still
not able to successfully install sql server 2012 express.
I will greatly appreciate any and every contribution towards resolving this issue. Thanks in advance.

After installing ios6 on my iphone 4, I cannot get my audiobook to play. This is an audiobook I bought through iTunes and shows up under the Music icon, but it will not play it. Tried installing audiobooks to play it, but cannot get it to play it either. Any ideas?

If your iTunes is the latest version, restart your computer and reboot your iPhone. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the iPhone restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Install SharePoint 2013 database on SQL server 2012 SP1 cluster

Good Day all,
We are trying to install SharePoint 2013 database on a SQL server 2012 Enterprise with SP1 cluster (configured for mixed mode) but the connection is not working (times out). We can telent the SQL cluster network name on port 1433 and we made
a UDL connection file, test the connection via windows authentication and it is working, but if we use the sql authentication it is not working.
Also we have two SharePoint 2013 servers connected via NLB.
Any idea about this issue guys?

event if 3355 means 3 things:
The SQL Server might be offline.
The SharePoint Foundation database access account might not have the necessary permissions to communicate with the SQL Server.
A firewall that runs on either the local server or on SQL Server might be blocking network communications.
Big question, how you trying to connect SQL windows or sql authentication? is it throwing error on Config wizard or somewhere else?

Failed to install Hotfix 4311 for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 (KB2494094) (64-bit)

I have a cluster install at SQL version 10.0.4272. I want to upgrade this to 10.0.4311. When I go through install on passive node it fails with message of "The patch installer has failed to update the shared features. To determine

SQL Server Error when tryingt to install the CMS DB on SQL Server 2005 x64

I am trying to install BOEXI R3 on w2k3 64-bit OS in a SQL Server 2005 x64 database, I am currently at the installation step where i Specify an exisiting CMS database. I created a System DSN and tested it, and it was successful. So when I got to the screen where I select my datasource I had to check use trusted connection because the datasource would not show up when Use DSN created by WOW64 option was checked. From there I could select the database I created. Oh yeah, I also made the application server local system account part of my DB admins group so it has full access to the database yet when I click next to connect I get a CMS Database Error: STU000226. here is what I have in my log:

How do I get past this?

The workaround was, I installed the SQL Server Client tools and created a System DataSource and then had to create a user DataSource (it is a quirk in the installer I guess) to get past this point in the installation. Now I have an even bigger problem. Everything but the CMS installed and the installer hung at the "Configuring the CMS" part. The installation finished but when I tried to log into the Central managment console I got this error:
Error: Server GSD-RRPT-RDC:6400 not found or server may be down (FWM 01003) null
I looked at the forums for the cause of this error and came to the conclusion that BOEXI does not support an installation on SQL Server 2005 when using Integrated Authentication to the SQL Server. See the engineers here disabled SQL Authentication for the SQL Server and will not allow it.
Is this true? Or is there a workaround to install the CMS using Integrated Authentication in the DataSource ?

How to install mini SAP in MS SQL Server 2005 Express?

Hi, is anyone know how to install the mini SAP v4.6 by using MS SQL Server 2005 Express?
I get error when connecting to the Database at 88% of the installation.

I do not think you can install miniSAP 4.6D on MS SQL server 2005 express.
1) you need the up todate patch to run on MSSE. If SAP did the work to allow it to run, it would be patch 55+. As supplied it is patch zero.
2) You can install on MSDE (MS SQL server 2000) patch 4. Look for my post INFO: Installing MiniSAP 4.6D on a named instance of MSDE (MS-SQL).
3) after the install on MSDE SP4 you would have to change the database code page to 'BIN2' look for the OSS note.
4) then you can start patching through to the most recent.
The main reason you cannot do this is MS have changed the version key format to include '.6' as extra info which SAP cannot interprate, too many dots.

We have a SQL Server 2008 Standard server, and I need to install full-text search in order to take advantage of some features with Autodesk Vault. I believe that I understand the procedure to do so, but, does the installation of the setup tools
and full-text search component cause any interruption to the database instances (or require a reboot)?

Full text search feature is supported by the SQL Server 2008 standard version, so you can install this feature in

The Third Party JDBC Drivers pane specifies drivers to be used for connections to third-party (non-Oracle) databases, such as IBM DB2, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Sybase Adaptive Server. (You do not need to add a driver for connections to Microsoft Access databases.) To add a driver, click Add Entry and select the path for the driver:
For Microsoft SQL Server or Sybase Adaptive Server: jtds-1.2.jar, which is included in the jtds-1.2-dist.zip download
To find a specific third-party JDBC driver, see the appropriate website (for example, http://www.mysql.com for the MySQL Connector/J JDBC driver for MySQL, http://jtds.sourceforge.net/ for the jTDS driver for Microsoft SQL Server and Sybase Adaptive Server, or search at http://www.teradata.com/ for the JDBC driver for Teradata). Installing SAP R/3 with SQL Server 2005..

Hi,
Microsoft is about to release "SQL 2005" in Nov05. Has anybody in here thought of installing/upgrading SAP on MS-SQL's latest version of the database server. On doing some research on the net I noticed that Microsoft has already upgraded their SAP R/3 environment to the beta edition of SQL Server 2005. I did not find any information on SAP having certified SQL Server 2005 yet.
Do we have to wait till ECC6.0 or whatever the new version of ECC would be to leverage the SQL Server 2005 D/b ?
Any thoughts/information on the readiness of SQL Server 2005 for SAP R/3 would be appreciated.

Past experience says SAP won't support a new platform (e.g. DB, OS, etc) until they have had a chance to test it. Your official SAP document for what is supported is in the Product Availability Matrix. http://service.sap.com/pam
With that said, that doesn't mean that you can't try it out. Of course not in a test environment. You get some very good learning experiences from trying. But don't enter a customer message about a non supported platform.

SSRS 2013 Native Mode - Cannot See Report Builder Button after Installing on my Desktop Computer - SQL Server Express

I have installed SQL Server Express 2013 on my home PC, which runs Windows 7. I used the advanced installation, which includes Reporting Services. The install seemed to go okay but when I open SSRS, I cannot see the Report Builder button on the
screen. I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out, including installing and reinstalling the program. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Also, I cannot connect to the report server through SQL Server Management Studio.
If anyone has any straightforward assistance, it would be greatly appreciated. I have spent a lot of time looking for answers. In the meanwhile I'll continue seeing if I can get this to work.
