Why is virtually all of my previously purchased video suddenly HD?

Over the past week, virtually all of my previously purchased content (movies and tv shows...and we're talking thousands) are showing up in the cloud as HD. Not that I'm necessarily complaining, but now when I try to download previously purchased content from my ipad 3 (via the cloud), it doesn't give me the option of downloading SD versions. I prefer SD because of the size of the files.
On my computer, I have the feature set to prefer SD videos when copying to my ipad...but how do I do the same thing when I'm downloading directly from the cloud to my ipad?

If you didn't make a back-up of your music/movie purchases to restore from (as you are advised to do) then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Products may only be downloaded once; after being downloaded, they cannot be replaced if lost for any reason. Why aren't all of my recent purchases showing up on my "purchased" tab on iphone 4S? I downloaded an album and I can't seem to get songs 2 and 4 although they are on my computer. I could probably connect my iphone to sync, but I'm wondering why they aren't transferring via iCloud.

Good afternoon. Ensuring your text messges are being logged correctly is important. I am happy to see you were able to determine they were iMessages. Unfortunately, there is not a way to track iMessages. However, if you find the iMessage user and you need to block them. Apple now gives you the ability to block iMessage users. To block iMessages Tap: Settings > Notifications > Messages > Scroll down to show iMessage alerts from, “My contacts only” > Should you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Why do all of my previously purchased app say they are no longer available?

Each time I try to download a previously purchased app, a message says it is no longer available. It even happens with my movies I've purchased. Is iCloud down or something?

If I currently share an iTunes account with my family, is there a way I can have my own iCloud account that they can't access as well as keep all the music previously purchased?

I am going off to college soon and I need to create a separate iTunes and iCloud and the whole nine yards if possible. I currently share icloud and everything with my mom and my brothers phones. Is it possible to move over all of the music the I have previously purchased as well? Also the computer that has our iTunes account on it recently crashed. Is there a way to move the account to another computer?

Why is the movie I've previously purchase no longer in my itunes?

I previously purchased/downloaded a movie from itunes and now going through my purchased movies, it is no longer on my itunes. I've also gone through my purchase history to see that I had in fact bought it. How do I redownload the movie without having to pay for it again?

Sync with new computer threatens to delete all of my previous purchases

My Mac G5 just died. It was synced to my iPhone. I had a few hundred songs purchased.
I get a new MacBook Pro. It seems to sync fine with the iPhone.
I purchase a couple of albums. When I try to get these new songs onto my iPhone, I get a message about deleting all of the existing songs.
There must be a way to solve this.
All songs have been purchased with the same AppleID.

Iphone can sync itunes content from ONE computer at a time.
If you sync to a different computer, the current itunes content will be erased from iphone and replaced with itunes content from the new computer. This is the way iphone is designed.
You should have all of your music on your new computer, just select the music you want on your iphone and sync it to your iphone.

Previously purchased videos from iTunes now no longer play in iTunes 7.0

Just upgraded to iTunes 7.0 and was ded impressed with the new look etc... right until I thort i'd have a peek at some music vids. From a collection of 20 or so I now only have 5 left. The rest are in the music library with their little video icon but won't play properly. It looks like the video codec is wrong but since they are virtually all iTunes purchased videos this seems a huge oversight on their part! When played i just get a flashing green and yellow screen instead of the video. Can any one help?

I have a similar problem. Music videos will play, but with a framerate of about 1fps. Manually recorded clips that are in my library in order to watch them on my iPod have the same problem. Same for video-podcasts. However, I have not lost any. Also they all still play well on the iPod.
To sum it up: Within iTunes 7 i cannot watch any videos that worked in iTunes 6.

I just purchased iTunes match on my account and now all of my previous purchases from the past few years are gone. Why?

As the title states, I purchased the new iTunes match service and all of my purchased history items are gone. When I go to the iTunes store on my iPhone, iPad, or Macbook the purchased history is blank. I've been a customer for quite a while and have many purchases on my account so I'm just wondering what exactly happened to them.
I enabled iTunes match and disabled it and still have not seen any difference. Anyone?

This is a known problem. Numerous people have reported Purchase Histories missing from their account (Including Music, TV, Apps etc) - check the other iTunes threads.

Google play does not have the country restrictions like Apple so I don't have that problem with them.

None of your downloads will be deleted from your devices/computers library, you just won't be able to redownload any the content that you bought/downloaded in that country unless you return to that country and have a billing address in that country on your account - but you should be keeping and maintaining a backup of all of your downloads, any item could be removed from the store at any time, so even if you weren't changing country there is no guarantee that you would be able to redownload an item.

How to add previous Purchased videos to iCloud

I purchased a movie from iTunes back in December 2008 under my old Apple ID. I wanted to know how to re-download the movie on to iCloud without making a purchase. Thank you.

It’ll automatically be in the iCloud for the old Apple ID if it’s possible for that movie, but probably can’t be put into the iCloud for the new one without buying it again, and definitely can’t from your end; if you want to ask anyway, click here.
