Why this output is coming for sy-index

for the code
do 5 times.
hide sy-index.
wrtie sy-index.
enddo.
at line-selection.
write sy-index.
o/p is
1
2
3
4
5
if one clicks on 3 we get 4 on so on..can anyone xplain the logic behind this.

Hi Henry,
As I already replied,it is because in your original code you mentioned the sy-index to be in the same line.
Usually, the purpose of AT Line-selection is pick that line. That's why it is taking the sy-index in your code as 5.
But in my code and Andreas code , we are displaying the output vertically.
And in the below mentioned code,I think while processing write statement itself since it needs to process both sy-index and '/' , it is incrementing sy-index by one.
do 3 times.
hide sy-index.
write : / sy-index.
enddo.
at line-selection.
write sy-index.
Write sy-index and Hide should be consecutive.
The behaviour of write :/ sy-index is it first process / and then sy-index.
In Andreas coding, he has written write and then hide.
While processing the write :/ sy-index, it is first processing hide and then / and then sy-index.
In my coding, I have written hide and then write(without /).Here also it is consecutive.
But in the coding you mentioned , you have written hide and then write (with /).It is processing hide and then / and then sy-index.In this case Hide and Write sy-index are not consecutive. That's why you get the output incremented by one.
Hope this is clear.
For more information about HIDE and At Line-selection,check this.
http://www.sts.tu-harburg.de/teaching/sap_r3/ABAP4/hide.htm
Check this also.It will also work fine since write sy-index and Hide are consecutive.
do 3 times.
hide sy-index.
write sy-index.
new-line.
enddo.
at line-selection.
write sy-index.

I have downloaded and installed the iPhoto tool to update so my pictures transfer over, but it's still telling me I need to update. Any suggestions why this isn't working for me? I have a Macbook Pro.

You have to download and RUN the iPhoto library upgrade - then launch iPhoto - If you had iPhoto '08 or earlier (version 7.x.x) - the upgrade is installed in the utilities folder of your Applications folder

  • Why this slightly new position for the "Auto"-Tone button

In LR CC(6), Adobe moved the "Auto"-Tone button in the development section one button width to the right. Why?
Since the mouse moving from the white balance to the Auto-button is a very often used move, clicking to the old position (in the now empty) is very annoying.
    Old Position of the Auto-Button
    New Position:
Why? Is there any reason? Or is this a bug - an accidental move?
    Thanks
    Konrad

I am willing to bet it was accidental, because if I were to move it, I probably would have aligned it under the "As Shot" above it. Either centered or left or right aligned, but aligned in any case.
You either have a really good eye, or your muscle memory is fantastic. Either way it is impressive that you spotted the change.

  • Rebate agreement-Difference coming for credit note value and drill down value .

    Hello Friends,
In 2013 we had created one rebate for which the validity period was 1st April 2013 to 31st March 2014 . At the end of each month, rebate amount was settled by raising credit note to the customer . Now at the end of March'14 during final settlement, a credit note was raised to the customer . The issue here is there is difference of 1.13 (Pounds) between credit note value and the drill down value for March'14 . Lets say our credit note value is-100 (Pounds)and Drill down value for the month March'14 is 101.13 Pounds. We are not able to find out why this difference is coming . Please let me know your inputs on this .
    Regards,
    Sandeep G.

    Sandeep -
During final settlement of a rebate agreement, it calculates rebate amout for the the entire time period less payments already made to a customer and then issues a credit memo request based on that. Please check all the the invoices created during entire period and check accrual calculation. It should match.
You can check VBOX table to get billing documents for the entire period.
Let us know if you still have an issue.

Could you any body help me please how can I solve this problem.
    thanks and regards,

    Hi Justen,
I just run rebuild the index with TOAD. So just I copied toad error output so I haven't written it and also in my computer there is a space. I think when I paste the output here, space gone out.
Anyway, I found workaround solution. First I am taking the script from toad then drop and recreate the index. But this takes very long time, only one index takes 1 hour for recreation. so I have so many index like this and If I calculate all indexes takes 3 days for recreation again.
    any other solution is there?
    thanks and regards

  • Why is the Star Transformation using two indexes for the same dimension?

    Hi,
Recently, I have made an investigation about the Star Transformation feature. I have found a strange test case, which plays an important role in my strategy for our overall DWH architecture. Here it is:
    The Strategy:
I would like to have the classical Star Transformation approach (single column Bitmap Indexes for each dimension foreign key column in the fact table), together with additional Bitmap Join Indexes for some of the dimension attributes, which would benefit from the materialization of the join (bitmap merge operation will be skipped/optimized).
    The query:
    select dp.brand, ds. region_name, dc.region_name
         , count(*), sum(f.extended_price)
      from fact_line_item  f
         , dim_part       dp
         , dim_supplier   ds
         , dim_customer   dc
    where dp.mfgr        = 10                 -- dimension selectivity = 1/10 --> acttual/fact selectivity = 6/10
       and f.part_dk      = dp.dk
       and ds.region_name = 'REGION #1' -- dimension selectivity = 1/9
       and f.supplier_dk  = ds.dk
       and dc.region_name = 'REGION #1' -- dimension selectivity = 1/11
       and f.customer_dk  = dc.dk
    group by dp.brand, ds. region_name, dc.region_name
    The actual plan:

    The Question:
Why is the Star Transformation using both indexes FACT_LI__P_PART_DIM_KEY_BIX and FACT_LI__P_PART_MFGR_BJX for the same dimension criteria (dp.mfgr = 10)?? The introduction of the additional Bitmap Join Index actually make Oracle to do the work twice !!!
    Anybody, any idea ?!?

I am batch processing in PS 2014 (watermark and saving as jpeg from ps file). I get the message for some but not all 'this file needs to be saved as a copy with this option'. And then I have to save it manually. Does anyone know why this happens? (It is just a plain photoshop file, a watermark is added, then save as jpeg - the jpeg is saved to a different folder than the original photoshop file.)  It happens for about 10 of 30/40  files approximately . Thank you, Kathryn

I believe I have figured it out - I need to flatten the image, even though there are no layers except for layer 0, first.

On iPhoto, I can no longer access the 'Classic' option which would lay out my photos on the page. It will send them as attachments only. I need the page layout for my work. Any thoughts as to why this has changed? It used to fully lay out the photos so I could add notes and detailed information before I sent them. I am thinking it is something simple that I have just missed...

The "Photos" view has been replaced by the Media Browser.
Most applications will show you the Photos icon in the Sidebar, when you need to select photos in a file chooser dialoge. Mail, Safari, the iWork apps. See Terence Devlin's User Tip: How to Access Files in iPhoto
For example, in the File > Open dialogue in Preview I am seeing this in the sidebar.
