Win 7 64-bit print jobs jam in my C7280

Ever since I upgraded my HP HDX16 laptop from Vista to Win 7 64-bit I get paper jams. It's not the feed mechanism because each time I queue a job it sends a blank sheet to the output tray. The next page, on which I expect my print job to appear, jams - every time. I have 2 other computers on the same network, both Macs, and their print jobs are completed flawlessly on the C7280. There must be some setting in the OS that is causing this but I cannot locate it. I've had to email my PC documents to one of my Macs in order to print them. Sharing files between the networked computers also has worked but successful printing only occurs from a Mac. I want to print from my HP PC once again, as I did under Vista.
This question was solved.

Hi,
What is the printer software version installed in your windows 7. Is it version 13? If not, try to download and install the latest software driver of your printer for Windows 7 64bit, click here.  You can check the printer driver version by clicking start>control panel>uninstall program under programs and features.

  • Print Job Jamming

    Hello
I have recently found an issue occurs with a certain printer on our network. it is a brother 6050dn connected via CUPS and occasionally a print job jams and keeps printing.
Our server isn't set up to log everything that happens so i can't tell whether someone sent hundreds of copies, but i think it is an issue with an individual user rather than intent to annoy. Has anyone come across this issue before.
If anyone could shine some light on this i would much appreciate it.

I am having exactly the same issue (constant paper feeding, ticking, jams), and tried all the steps (cleaning, looking for paper bits, resetting, checking the rollers), and I am still having issues.  Did you ever get an answer?
We find we can print one page at a time, if we only insert one piece of paper at a time.  Obviously, not a good solution if you have more than a few pages to print.
I was wondering if it has anything to do with the paper I am using.  Are there recommendations on what types of paper to use (or not to use)?

  • Print Job Jammed with Samsung Printer

    MACHINES:
    Computer: MacBook
    Printer: Samsung ML-1630 (http://www.samsung.com/hken/consumer/detail/features.do?group=printersmultifunction&type=printersmultifun ction&subtype=monochromelaserprinters&modelcd=ML-1630/XEU)

Wireless USB Hub: Belkin USB Hub (http://www.belkin.com/networkusbhub/)
The printer is connected to the wireless usb hub, so my MacBook can be print out the documents via wireless, however, the printer is only able to print out one file and the next file will be hold until I restart the printer or reload the wireless usb hub software under Mac OS. It doesn't has any problems under Windows OS.
I have reinstalled the driver and application for Mac already.
Do you know how can I solve this problem?

Does the printer work properly when hooked up directly to the computer. If so, then I strongly suspect some incompatibility with your wireless network.

  • Why do print jobs from Firefox create paper jam in my HP printer?

Running v3.6.13 in Win7 64-bit OS on HP laptop. Printer is a wireless networked HP Photosmart C7280. Print jobs from web pages result in a paper jam every time. Print jobs of documents from other applications as well as web pages from Internet Explorer all print normally. Jobs sent from 2 Macs in same network print normally. I think I've narrowed this down to Firefox being the only app to cause this problem.
The print jobs sent from the HP laptop send one blank page through the printer in front of each printed page. Printer properties, advanced, for the printer show a "separator page" for each print job which cannot be changed or disabled, AFAIK. The Firefox print jobs send the blank page correctly but the next page on which the job should be printed is the one that jams and stalls the printer. I remove the jammed paper, reset the printer and nothing more happens - the job is ended, nothing in the queue.

    Hi @annmade ,
I will certainly do my best to help you remove the rest of the paper jam inside the printer.
I have provided some documentation for removing paper jams.  Please go to page 69 of the manual.
HP Color LaserJet CP1210 Series Printer.
I would suggest to try running a plain piece of paper through, by running a cleaning page through the printer. It might help since you are unable to access the rest of the pieces of paper inside the printer. Resolving Print Quality Issues. Go to Solution six: Clean inside the product. I don't have any documents for disassembling the printer.

  • HP Laserjet p3005x - jamming during all duplex print jobs

We have recently aquired a used HP Laserjet p3005x printer that jams under the print cartridge during every duplex print job.  The message in the printer log is Event 13.05.00 "Fuser output - Paper late jam"

A batch file was created to restart the spooling service when this happens, but as stated earlier this is not a permanent fix.

  • How do I print a poster of my print job on a hp officejet j3680/windows7 64- bit?

How do I print a poster of my print job on a hp officejet  j3680/windows7 64- bit?

FredAfrmCgAz, can you set the document you are trying to print to be separate pages? If you can I would set it up to print that way, though this might mean that you have to adjust margins/allow borderless printing.
What program are you trying to print from? What is the file type (.jpg, .png, .pdf, etc)?
    Let me know!

  • Issues with 64 bit win 7 clients printing from 2008 R2 print server

    Hello All,
I have a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 64 bit server built with a print server role. My issue is  64 bit win 7 clients cannot add a new printer. The clients see the printer in the list, starts the printer installation, get to the point of downloading the
driver & then fails ' Windows cannot connect to the printer. ' the error is 0x0000012 or 0x000003ee. Any way I try to add the new printer I get the same result. The only way I can get the printer added is to do a local printer with the full path \\servername\printer_name
and then "have disk" and point to the driver folder on the print server to get the printer added.
Anyone have any thoughts on why the 64 bit clients will not add a new printer from a 64 bit print server ?
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,
Please check if you can ping the print server successfully from this Windows 7 client computer. Did you encounter
the same issue when add other printers? Or just for this one printer?
    Please type
regedit on Run to open Registry Editor and follow the path:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Connections and check if there has existent printer connection on the registry key.
If any update, please feel free to let me know.
    Hope this helps.
    Best regards,
    Justin Gu

    hey All,
I have a scenario with RDS 2012 with Session host in 2008 R2 SP1, and on clients with windows XP SP3 and win 7 SP1 32 bits, printer configuration looks ok  but in windows 7 64 bits it looks like a truncated configuration , i have been tested every solution
that was reported before, like changing GPO, install Drivers in the clients and in the server, changed display resolution (to print in video) and nothing works, is any issue or incompatibility reported in this cases ?

  • 16 Bit Printing in Win 7 64

I have a Canon 9000Pro II.  Canon now provides a 16 bit driver for Win 7.
How will LR3 handle files sent to this driver?  Will it still send an 8-bit file to the driver?
    Thanks,
    Wil

I believe Ian is right. Mac only. That said, if you let Lightroom manage colors, you are not going to be able to see the difference between 8 and 16 bit prints. I've tested this quite a bit on my Mac and I only see a difference if you let the driver manage color. This is because Lightroom sends the data in prophotoRGB in that mode and that space quickly posterizes when you only have 8-bit precision. If you send the data to the driver in a printing profile (what happens when you let Lightroom manage), 8-bit is more than enough precision to generally not get posterization. That's just my experience though.

  • How do I purge print jobs on an officejet 4215 using windows 7 64 bit OS?

The all-in-one officejet 4215 will not print a print job nor will it delete the print job from the queue. I have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled, unpluged and disconnected from the network and nothing works.

    Hi,
Please clarify your meaning "reinstalled" the printer - The driver for your printer already included within Windows7, any software you may use is not intended to Windows7.
May the stuck print job being printed upon restarting the PC?
If so, i would recomment you to try and disable the USB Ports power Management. It may cause connectivity issues with the LIDIL printing language being used by your printer:
    Right click on Computer.
    Click Manage.
Open the Device Manager from the left pane.
Locate the Universal Serial Bus Controller category, double click to expend it.
Locate the first USB Root Hub
Double click it, then click the Power Management tab.
Clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
    Click OK.
Repeat steps 6 through 8 for each USB Root Hub listed in the Device Manager.
Now follow and check for any improvement.
Please let me know of any progress,
    Shlomi

  • PSC 1350 all-in-one not completing print jobs wirelessly with windows 7 64 bit

I have a acer 5542 running windows 7 (64bit), connected wirelessly to an Orange Livebox hub, to which my HP PSC 1350 printer is connected (via USB cable) therefore using the Livebox as a USB printer server. This configuration has worked very well for my 2 XP laptops for the past year or two. I set up the printer on the windows 7 laptop by connecting it directly, via the USB cable, letting windows install it, and download the latest drivers, (although HP say they have no specific 64bit drivers for this printer, but the drivers they have, and that windows downloaded, work fine!) then i changed the port to the livebox ip address.
All this worked fine (as on the xp machines), I printed out a spreadsheet, which worked fine untill it approached the end of the page, then just stopped. I troubleshot the printer which didnt return any sprcifics, Just that the print job had failed, and that it had rectified the problem, then the printer starts reprinting the same document, to the same point, (about 95% complete) and again stalls, and so the cycle continues. I have tried it with various different documents and photos, to the same ends. But if i connect the laptop directly to the printer, via USB, it completes the jobs fine
I have posted on microsoft answers forums, but the one answer i have recieved (re installing everything) did not solve the problem. Although i am not too savvy on computers, i kind of get the feeling it is a spooling issue. (not processing or holding onto the last part of a print file! But its only a feeling!)
any help would be very much appreciated

    Hi there,
I understand you're looking for drivers for your PSC 1210 on Windows 7. I will certainly do my best to guide you in this issue.
At this time there are no HP drivers available for this printer for Windows 7. You can still use the printer with Windows 7, you will just have to use the drivers available within Windows 7. That document will walk you through what you need to do in order to get printing again, and will also show you how to scan with this Windows driver.
Hope this helps, have a great day!!

  • Can't clear a .ppt print job on an OfficeJet Pro L7680, attached to a Lenovo PC w Win7 32-bit

I was printing a .ppt print job that aborted and didn't complete.  I tried to delete the print job. I tried to reset the printer.  I turned the printer off/on.  I took the printer offline/online.  The print job won't clear and although I can submit new print jobs, the printer can't print anything else (because of the .ppt job that can't be cleared).   I was using the HP Solutions Center (HP print utility on my laptop)) and Windows print tools.  Any thoughts on what I can do to clear this print job?

Delete the printer in Control Panel as it appears it is hung up (if there is more than one instance of it, delete them all).
Next, re-add the printer in this manner:
    1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to your network. Verify that you can access the printer's internal web page by browsing to its IP address before continuing.
    2. Click >> Start >> Control panel >> Devices & Printers.
    3. Click the Add a printer
    4. Select Local printer
    5. Select Create a new port and select Standard TCP/IP Port and click Next button.
    6. Under Device type, select TCP/IP Device. Under Hostname or IP address, enter the printer's IP address. Click Next.
    7. Select Hewlett-Packard from the list of manufacturers and select and select your printer model. Click Next.
If your printer model was not listed, then select Have Disk, browse the HP CD that came with your printer and select the first file that starts with hp and ends with inf. Click Open then OK. Select your printer model. Click Next.
    8. If you are asked, use the currently installed driver.
    9. It will ask for the Printer name -- enter a new name or use the existing one. This will be the name of the printer that you select from other applications.
    10. You may be asked to share the printer. Choose NO.
    11. The Print Test Page box appears. Go ahead and print it.
    12. Click Finish.

  • HP 8500A plus printer. Jam message. Won't clear or reset.

Just opened box and setup. Had for a few months and health was bad. Now that Im able to set it up I get a message showing a paper jam right of the start. There is no paper in the printer to jam. Everything has been removed from printer from opening it up and setting up. I can't get the menu or nothing to show up on the screen. Really a NICE 4 TH of July. Family friends and can't scan pictures or print them out. I have done all the resets and plugged power cord in to main outlets. I can't believe this. Seems there is a major problem with HP printers and with this model. My Friend has the same issue. Anyone got any ideas. I have no receipt. Plus this had never been registered yet. I got this as a replacement a long with a computer after my place was hit by lighting. I soon went into the hospital due to health issues and a Knee replacement. So those that are wondering why it was a bit setting this up. I have bought HP Printers, notebooks, and desktops for years. 3 printers before this one in 5 years. I think HP has just made my mind up on what I will be doing next. Frustrated , Shepbird

  • Officejet 4620 prints from HP Printer Assistant but shows as offline for normal print jobs

I just purchased an Officejet 4620 to use wirelessly on our home network -- we have two Thinkpads running  Windows 7 64-bit.  I followed the installation instructions and successfully printed out test pages using both the Printer Properties page in Windows and the HP Printer Assistant (which, by the way, shows that the printer is online and ready).  However, when I try to print from any other program (Word, Chrome, etc.), after a moment or two I get an error message saying the printer is offline and asking if I want to cancel the print job.  Yet when I check the online status, it again shows that it is online and I can, again, successfully print a test page.
What could possibly be causing this?  It makes no sense to me.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Hi oyfpro,
The Xfinity router may need some tweaking.
Login to your router using the provided instructions by Xfinity and navigate to the wireless settings.
Change the channel to 11 or something less crowded.
Change the network encryption to WPA2 as it is the most secure and most reliable.
Last but not least, update the firmware on the Xfinity router to make sure it's fully up to date with everything.
    Thanks.
