  • Songs don't show up in Windows Live Messenger after itunes 7.0.1 update

The topic line pretty much says it all. I've checked the settings in Messenger. I'm not sure the songs are supposed to show up in Messenger from itunes, but they always have and I like that feature.
Since updating itunes from 7.0 to 7.0.1 this feature doesn't work. I wonder why apple doesn't test their stuff before releasing it anymore. They're getting as bad as Microsoft anymore, which is a shame. I'm referring mainly to the larger problems with itunes 7 rather than my petty problem here.
Any help would be appreciated though. Thanks.

    I had the same problem!!!!
in windows live messenger (msn 8.0) go 2 tool>options & make sure the show song information from WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER as a personal messeger box is ticked!
then sign out of the messenger, close it & itunes, then open up windows live messenger, sign in, then open itunes @ start playing ur songs!
this worked for me. hope it works for u.
    good luck!

  • All my windows live messenger contact have disappeared of windows messenger and appeared in my phone contact list on my curve 9360, Why, and how can I get them back where they should be?

I went onto windows live messenger today and all my contacts have disappeared from it, but I also noticed that they had somehow now appeared in my curve 9360 phone contacts. How did this happen, and how can I get them back into windows live messenger and out of my phone contacts on my phone? This is driving me crazy, can anybody help please?
My phone is the curve 9360, OS is 7.0.0 bundle 2259 And it was purchased Easter Monday
    Thanks.

Thanks, but I checked iCloud and it has none of them.
If it backed up to my laptop, that died and I just got the new computer. The one that's crashed won't even boot, so there's no way to even tell if it was syncing the contacts along with all the phone photos. Literally happened at the same time - it was because I had the new computer that I was finally able to pull the photos off the phone and make room for the upgrade. It had refused to upgrade for lack of space for some time.
I had thought it was set to sync to iCloud but it vanished from BOTH my phone and the cloud. That's why I'm so angry about it.

  • Download windows live messenger n96

where cn i download windows live messenger for my nokia n96 fanxs

    Hello guys,
Having read about your discussion about windows live messenger for N96 I thought i'd throw in a few things.
First off the windows live messenger isn't out for the N96, Like few of you here who has an N96 I have purchased one aswell and I tried various different forums and went into the download but I still have no success for the messenger.
As for those of you who are looking for the .sisx file, it is possible to get it, the tip is if you can get hold of an N95/N95 8GB,
1 - Download the 'Nokia Download' software onto your pc and install it.
2 - Once installation has finished connect the N95/N95 8GB to your pc then run the 'Download' program from your PC, wait till the application detects the phone.
3 - After this process is done, in the 'Download' program you will see a tab for 'Applications' click on it and you will find the 'Windows Live I.M' click on it and download it.
4 - After the download has finished look at the bottom right hand corner of the 'Download' application, you will see a status bar showing you how much has been downloaded or if it shows the bar is full it means its fully downloaded, if this is the case then you will notice that it is automatically installing the 'windows Live I.M' into your phone however you have to cancell it by pressing the 'X' button located beside the status bar as mentioned before.
5 - Once you cancel the installation you can either leave you phone connected to your PC or disconnected but the next step is on your PC find and select your user folder on C: drive then go to 'Appata/Roaming/Nokia/Nokia Download!' then you will see two files in .sisx one is called 'Nokia Internet Service Support Pack 1' (This file is to be installed into you phone before Windows Live I.M to support messenger) and the second file is 'Windows Live I.M' which should be installed in to your phone after the 'Nokia Internet Service Support pack l') you can install both files in the order explained into your phone buy connecting your N96 to your PC and double click on the files one at a time then run the installation or transfer both files directly into your phone and install it that way.
I have actually tried this myself but I had no luck in being able to install either of the files because I keep getting an error messages but if anyone else wants to give it a try then do so, if you have any luck with your N96 then post us the outcome here please.
The only thing I can think of is the N96 is not recognising the 'Signed Certificate' which is encrypted into the 'Nokia Internet Support Pack 1' file hence why I or anyone else will have trouble installing it. Remember without the 'Nokia Internet Support Pack 1', Windowes Live I.M will not install into your phone.
Sorry for the long essay guys but that was the process from my experience and I hope Nokia and Windows Live do something about this to make the software available for the N96 soon.
    Bless to all.
    SiD

  • Cannot install Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant.

Well, I am having some issues installing "Windows Live Essentials" update and "Games for Windows Marketplace". I have found that the cause of this is from "Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant", (wllogin_64.msi) which I am unable to install.
    Things I have tried:
Removed every live related application with the windows cleanup tool.
Tried to install wllogin_64.msi as administrator.
Tried to install wllogin_64.msi in safe mode.
Restored from an earlier system point.
    Ran chkdsk.
Ran a virus and spyware scan.

    an operating system.
So I did NOT run hotfix.exe on my desktop. I have been since waiting to get my laptop back to install it. It runs on Windows 7, and is considerably newer. Now, I have sat here for 7 hours waiting for RE5 to install. It installed, finally and brought up the
game screen. I went to sign into GFWL, and it worked! However, it also said that there an "update" that needed to be completed and gave me
bullshit saying that if I didn't do it, it would sign me out. (This is also the same message it has been giving me whenever I try to sign into Messenger. It should also be noted that as well as with messenger, it won't fucking install.)
So, anyway, I downloaded and installed the update. It closed out the game, started it back up and I went through the same process again. I downloaded this mysterious update THREE times. Finally, I restarted my computer. I went back into the game and was
met with the same message again. This time I closed it out and went to run Games For Windows Live to see if maybe I could find a list of needed updates and do them all at once. It told me I needed the sign-in assistant to run it so I went to download that.
Like OP, I'm being met with the same issue. It just goes through the process every time and always closes out because of some "error". On top of this, now I can't even get Resident Evil 5 to start. It keeps giving me yet ANOTHER "error" message. I don't
know what to do next aside from un-install it and try again, but I sat here for
six fucking hours waiting on it to install the FIRST time. This is also the third computer I have sat and waited to try and install this game on. I am at a total loss, and I'm very, very angry. If I may rant for a second:
What the fuck are all these mysterious "errors" I keep having on a new computer that's running perfectly, and why the fuck don't they explain what the goddamn error is so I can fix it? (In hindsight, that might be in the logs but I've been to angry to look
    into them.)
And also, in my searching for fixes for this problem, I've come across posts from 2008 and 2009 of people having
the same issues. Explain to me why the it's 2011 and it's STILL not fixed?
I am not happy with Microsoft right now, at all. I think it's bullshit you have to even sign up for an account to even save the info. None of the many other games I play do that. And how are we supposed to be able to play the goddamn games if Games For Windows
Live is glitched? I've never done anything with GFWL before this so I didn't know it was having these issues. Do I need to search EVERY aspect of a game AND it's software AND the people that made it available to make sure I can play it now?
Is spending 2 thousand dollars on computers from Microsoft and another 30 on a game not enough of a payment to be able to
    play the fucking game?

  • Window live messenger for nokia

is it possible to download window live messenger on nokia?http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/nokia-microsoft-sign-windows-live/story.aspx?guid=%7B0BA646E0-...

There is a new version of windows live search for PC's, which uses a silverlight plugin, called
"tafiti". Is Nokia planning to support a mobile version of this browser on N-series or S60-series phones?

here is a copy of the notice I posted on the Danish engineering magazine "Ingeniøren":
Microsoft has launched a new website, Tafiti.com, that delivers Windows Live Search in a Silverlight interface. Tafiti, swahili for “do research” or “to search”, is more of an expriment, showing the cool applications and UI that are possible with Silverlight, but it is fully functional, with Live Search, including web search, books search, blog search, news search, and image search. It appears that you have to uninstall the Silverlight 1.1 alpha and re-install the 1.0 Release Candidate to make it run (that’s not getting annoying).
You can drag searches over to the areas on the right side, then, share them with others or your other PCs (or Macs). Each search stacks on a card above the last one. Tafiti uses some pretty cool animation, only possible with Silverlight. There’s a really cool carousel that rotates among search types. The news search uses a very cool newspaper style view.
There’s also this cool tree view, that shows items from the search on a rotating tree. It’s good for a screensaver, and can be clicked to run full screen.
On10 has a video demo of the website.
Check out Tafiti, it’s pretty cool, and it goes to show you what Silverlight is capable of. Five guys built this, so the possibilities are more than there for small teams to do cool things.

  • Windows Live Messenger - Service not enabled on this device

    Hi
Just got my BlackBerry Curve 8900 today, and firstly it won't let me install AppWorld? It's the most up to date software but it says "System requirements not met"
Also I managed to download Windows Live Messenger, but it won't let me sign in. When I try all it says is "This service is not enabled on this handheld".
I've used and installed AppWorld on my brothers phone which is the same, and with the same network; Vodafone. His works fine, am I doing something wrong?
    Thank you very much!

did you get any support for this
im also having the same problem
Hi and Welcome to the Forums!!
I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB):
    1) Register HRT
KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with the wireless network
    2) Resend Service Books
KB02830 Send the service books for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    3) Batt Pull Reboot
Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then you should check with your carrier to ensure that you have an adequate data service from them to enable the services you desire:

  • User is signed out automatically - timeout?

    Hi
It's pretty hard to describe my issue... Well, we have an app with direct entitlement, but no custom storefront. Means, when the user opens the app, he sees an empty library, when he signes in, he sees the folios he is entitled to. When he signs out, he sees only the folios he's already downloaded, the other ones diappear. Very simple. Works perfect on my device.
Now I get reports from several users about the following behaviour:
    1. User signs in to the library
    2. 3 folios appear to which they have access
    3. User downloads 1 of the folios (so far so good)
    then
    4. User closes the app (with double click on home-button and closing the app's window in "task manager")
    5. When he reopens the app, he is automatically signed out, but still sees all 3 folios - even the ones he has never downloaded before!
    6. When he tries to download one of these folios, the app crashes - which is quite logical, cause he he is not entitled to download the folio.
    My questions are:
    1.
Why does the user get signed out automatically when closing the app? (doesnt happen on my device, i stay logged in all the time)
    2.
Why does the library still show all folios, even if the user is signed out?!
Note: If the User signs out "manually" in the library (button top left), the folios disappear correctly.
I was unable to "reproduce" this error on my device, but it seems to happen to several users.
    Can you help?
    Best
    Ninetta

    Hi Derek
You can just download the app from the store, since it is already "live":
    https://itunes.apple.com/ch/app/sfi-e-finance-series/id773137017?mt=8
Of course I am happy to give you a free user-log-in, if you tell me where I can send it to without posting it publicly:)

  • Lose connection to E1000 when using Windows Live Messenger

I have a laptop running Vista which connects to the Internet through my Linksys E1000 wireless router.  We have installed Windows Live Messenger, v2011 on the laptop, but whenever we try to login, the E1000 appears to crash.  It is still running, but we cannot get an Internet connection on any computer in the house.  I must then reboot the E1000 and the DSL modem in order to restore the Internet connection.  I spoke with Linksys technical support for over an hour, and tried different things, but the E1000 continues to crash when Windows Live Messenger is used.  The technical support person suggested that I may need to investigate "port forwarding" for WLM. Could this be the problem?  And if I find out which ports are used by WLM, and open these on the E1000, might this solve the problem?  We also tried using WLM from a different computer that uses the E1000 for internet access, and the same problem occurred.

Follow this link to find the port numbers used by Windows Live messenger.
Open these ports on your router and see if that works.

  • Nokia 5800 windows live messenger

many times i have tried 2 install windows live messenger in my nokia 5800 but it says expired certifiacte . where can i dwnload the messenger for free which works

I have a Nokia 5800, I got it in the first week that it was released in the UK. (Just in case it's a particular version.)
I have got the official Windows Live Messenger application, it installed without any problems whatsoever.
But, I have a really weird problem. This is what happens...
    I open the application.
It shows me the sign in screen.
I click the textbox and start to enter my email address... I get about half way through entering it then....
My phone instantly turns off and the screen fades away!
It isn't always the same place where I am editing text, but it's always in the sign in process.
I haven't a clue why this happens, it has never happened in any other application, but happens every time with Messenger?!?!
(Before anyone asks: Yes, my phone was charged.)

  • Does anyone recommend a program i can install so i can still contact my windows live messenger contacts without compromising my mac?

    Hi out there,
I am the proud new owner of a macbook pro and am lovin it! I used to talk with family and friends on windows live messenger but am not sure whether to download the mac version at microsoft incase of compromising the system and unfortunately IChat doesn't work with messenger contacts.  Does anyone have any advise on the mac version of messenger or is there an alternative program that i can download which may work better?  Thanks to anyone who may be able to advise me.

    Hi
Welcome to the Mac world! You can certainly download Messenger - there's no reason it should compromise your system. You could also look at Adium, which is MSN-compatible.

  • Awkward Windows Live Messenger issue with 6760

I was having a windows live messenger conversation with a friend yesterday on my new 6760, the area I was in had terrible reception so it kept roaming or cutting out, asking me if I wanted to resend my messages, etc.
I resent them a few times, not sure if they were getting through, when I was startled by a response from a totally different person on my messenger list.
To be clear- I was chatting with person A, when suddenly person B was receiving my messages instead. The chat still said I was talking to person A, and when I checked who was involved in the chat, the only participants were listed as myself and person A, however all my messages were being sent to person B instead, who I had not actually initiated a chat with, they just happened to be online at that time.
Any ideas? I'm a little paranoid to use messenger now, not knowing who is going to end up getting my messages!

Why don't you use another im application like nimbuzz(get.nimbuzz.com) or ebuddy(get.ebuddy.com)

  • Windows Live Messenger Loggin

ok, so i can't sign into windows live messenger on my 9860. Had the same problem with my 9780 and it's quite frustrating now. I can sign into my account from a desktop or mobile site, but not where i want it most. i've changed my password to an alphanumeric 1, i've deleted and reinstalled a million times and i still get this "internal error. Please try again" message! Thing is, i can log into my other msn accounts on my phone. but this 1 is my main with my 2-300 contacts. Please help me someone

    here is what I think:
the issue is probably with only your contacts
you can use blackBerry Protect to backup your contacts
you can use the Desktop Software to do a full backup of your device.
so if I were you I would do this :
    1) do a full backup of your device
    2) export your contacts to BlackBerry Protect
    3) use the Desktop Software to delete your contacts database completely
    4) use BlackBerry Protect to restore your contacts.
    5) enjoy WML.
if that fails, you can of course restore all your device with the desktop software (back to the corrupted database, but at least you have not lost anything).
