The Exchange Management Shell fails to connect in Exchange 2013 environment, this is a DAG environment and previously it indicates another error message, which is in my another thread. We fixed that error by delete the retired proxy entry in the server registry,
after that the error is gone but changed to below one, anyway the EMS still fails to connect to all servers:

Then it just show can't connect to all the exchange servers, from the wording it seems pointing to the Windows firewall settings for winRM, but when I look at the windows firewall found it's turned off. We use Sophos enterprise for the security, but all
other 3 exchange servers didn't have the same issue.

A -36 error is a read/write error.
All you did with the power is reset the SMC. Does nothing to reset everything to factory settings.
Do you have your original 10.4 installer discs for the MacBook?

I have a RAID that my Mac says is damaged. It does mount, so I want to copy as much of the data as I can. I tried SuperDuper!, but it crashed (or gave me error and stopped). I tried copying and pasting entire drive (1.75TB) but it stopped with this error, and same error happens with some of the files when I try to copy and paste (Drag and Drop) them individually.

ONLY the carrier an iPhone is locked to can legitimately unlock it.
IF your receipt says that it was supposed to be unlocked, and it is not, call AppleCare. They should be able to straighten it out. -
I have Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard on both of my computers.
Some time ago, one crashed my computer and I had to reinstall the operating system and all applications.
After I had installed once Acrobat 9 Sdt in the computer, I wanted to update the software version 9.0.0 update to the same level as it was before the crash and that the other computer has version named 9.5.5.
The system for update from version 9.0.0 does not work at all. "There are no updates" listed in the dialog.

Why is my hard drive full when I'm only running the operating system and nothing else is loaded? No music, pics, nothing! I understand the hard drive is small at 60 gig, but I can't believe the os would take up that much space.
First, empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. Then reboot. That will temporarily free up some space. According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB free on the startup volume for normal operation. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of your data. Use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper to explore your volume and find out what's taking up the space. Proceed further only if the problem hasn't been solved. ODS can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To really see everything, you have to run it as root. Back up all data now. Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways: ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.) ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens. ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid. After installing ODS in the Applications folder, drag or copy — do not type — the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:sudo /Applications/OmniDiskSweeper.app/Contents/MacOS/OmniDiskSweeper
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of this. Don't delete anything while running ODS as root. When you're done with it, quit it and also quit Terminal. -

I'm receiving this error message about my Time Capsule:
"The backup disk image '/Volumes/Data/my name's iMAC.sparesebundle" is already in use. The time capsule is not backing up any files.1. Open the Sharing preference pane and check that the computer name hasn't changed without your knowledge. For example, if the name was "X's iMac," it might now be "X's iMac (2)". In that case, restore the original name. You may have to click the lock icon in the lower left corner of the preference pane to unlock the settings. Test. If there's no improvement, or if the name had not been changed, continue.
2. If you're backing up to a Time Capsule, or an AirDisk attached to a 2013 or later model AirPort Extreme base station, restart it in either of the following ways:
☞ Disconnect and reconnect the power adapter.
☞ Select the device in the AirPort Utility application and then select
Base Station ▹ Restart
from the menu bar.
If AirPort Utility notifies you of a firmware update, install it. -
Make WSUS accessible over the web
We're in the process of deploying WSUS on Windows 2012 R2 in our environment and I have a question regarding access over the web... I would like to provide clients with the ability to access the update server regardless of being connected to
the company internal network. I see that the standard GPO settings call for following, and in our lab it is working fine. One the same internal network.

So, If I wanted to change this to HTTPS and make it accessible over the web, based on my experience with Windows Server the steps would look something like this:
1. Create Internal and external DNS record that will resolve the internal IP address of the WSUS server and the External IP address of the WSUS server. wsus.domain.com for example.
2. Purchase a Godaddy or competing certificate from a public store and install it for the default site in IIS. Configure HTTPS bindings to answer on port 5830.
3. Configure GPO mentioned above to utilize

It's not supported. It's not recommended, as described, although you're well on your way. And, the real kicker.. strictly speaking, it's not licensed for use in that manner. Let me e'splain why.
The licensing for WSUS restricts its use to only clients that are licensed to the entity operating the WSUS server. As such client identity is a key component of strict licensing compliance.
While Server-Side SSL certainly ensures the client only connects to an authorized server, it does not identify the client, nor restrict the client by known identity, and it wouldn't even prevent an unauthorized client from accessing that server -- all that's
needed is a copy of the CER. So there's that, which is probably not a deal killer, even considering the strictest interpretation of the licensing, because the risk is fairly low, and MS really isn't going to chase you down because you *might* be capable of
offering services to unlicensed client systems.
Here's the real risk: Access to the SSL certificate would also permit a rogue downstream server to dump your complete collection of updates, groups, and approvals to itself, effectively giving the operator of that rogue server information about what security
updates are approved, and when they were approved, but also which updates are NOT approved -- which offers up some sensitive information about existing vulnerabilities in those workstations. In effect, security of the public certificate becomes paramount.
More significantly, someone using the API can dig out even more sensitive information about client computers, actual installations, etc. without even setting up a WSUS server, all they need is a working API installation (which can be done on any desktop
operating system).
SSL is definitely the minimum requirement for this type of deployment, but in conjunction with making the client services available via SSL, you'll also want to BLOCK access to /DssAuthWebService, /ServerSyncWebService, and /ApiRemoting30 via the firewall.
Blocking /ApiRemoting30 is fairly straightforward as it requires an authenticated connection anyway, so mostly that's a matter of properly securing the server logons, but downstream server sync is anonymous by default, so you'll want to configure required
authentication for downstream servers. You won't have any, of course, but that will also preclude the possibility of any. Configuring DSS Authentication is discussed in the WSUS Deployment Guide in TechNet.
Having said all of that, the conventional way in which WSUS services have been made available to Internet-based clients is via VPN using a replica server without a content store. VPN-based clients get approvals from the replica WSUS server, but then download
content direct from Microsoft. Client installs updates when downloads are complete.
VPN is a headache for a lot of orgs, though, and it requires active participation on the part of the computer user, which sometimes impedes successful deployment of updates in a timely manner.
The ideal methodology, but also a PITA to set up, would be to access that WSUS server via an IPSec-encrypted Direct Access connection. This eliminates the end-user from the process, and ensures client identity through IPSec/DA authentication.

Item Interface error - "The Cost of Sales Account specified is not a valid"
A week back we migrated from 11.5.10 to 12.1.3
Since then, many items are failing in Item Interface with the error "The Cost of Sales Account specified is not a valid account or has expired in organization ITEM MASTER INV."
Item Master being the 'Inventory master organization'. I checked the cost of sales account & sales account. and they are Valid also their corresponding segments are valid in their respective value sets.

Please help.The Cost_of_sales_account & Sales_account as defined in the MTL_PARAMETERS are different from those in MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B for the corresponding item. The values for these accounts in the interface tables are same as that in the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B table and hence not same as those defined in MTL_PARAMETERS.
Actually we have a Custom trigger on the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_B table which updates these accounts, once the item is created in the Master Organization.
To verify this issue, I updated the accounts on the MTL_SYSTEM_ITEMS_INTERFACE table to match with that of MTL_PARAMETERS. Ran the 'Item Import', now those records are processed.
Does this means that, the Interface is validating the cost_of_sales_account & sales_account to match with that of the 'Organization' ??.
But we never had this issue in 11i. Is this a part of R12?? -

Hm ... I guess I can't edit the post above. Anyway, I seem to have solved it by ...
Quitting iTunes.
Going into Home / Music / iTunes, and renaming the file "iTunes Library.itl" to "iTunes Library (corrupt).itl".
Entering Time Machine, and restoring the "iTunes Library.itl" file from a few days ago. I went back two days, which seemed far enough back to be "before" the problem but not far enough back to have trouble with recent acquisitions.
Re-opening iTunes - and everything seemed to be back in order.
So that's fine for now. We'll see if the solution is stable.
Very, very tentative assignment of blame: I believe iTunes crashed earlier today after I'd synced photos from my iPhone to iPhoto, and then iTunes crashed while iPhoto was closing (and taking its sweet time doing so). If that was indeed the case, that's at least the second time in the past couple of months that trying to sync iPhone photos to iPhoto has caused me significant problems. (The last time led to 80% of my iPhone suddenly being occupied by "Other", and a full restore of the darn thing.) -

I strongly suspect this is time machine-related. Even though time machine has been turned off, this happens at intervals of exactly one hour.
A single entry appears in the kernel log at the precise moment the (first) popup error box appears. This is:
"AppleSRP started."
Anyone have any clue how to go about diagnosing or fixing this? I don't even mind trying something brute force (short of wiping the HD and reinstalling lion, which I really DON'T want to do; I don't mind a non-destructive reinstall). -
