Wireless bridge can't access windows certificate server

We have 10 Cisco 1200 wireless APs. The VLAN 1 use Windows certificate as authentication and VLAN 100 for the public. They work fine. We just bought two 1310 wireless bridges for outdoor use. We contact Cisco support for setup these two bridges. The wireless can receive the signal but can't logon. The IP is 169.254.x.x. The Certificate server receive Event ID 2 as below. The Cisco engineer can't make it work and he said the setup Windows IAS is not his expertise. Any suggestions how can we fix this issue?

  • Can't access my Directory Server using the Console installed on a machine

can't access my Directory Server using the Console installed on a remote server, lookied into knowledge base article 4693, but still same any idea ?

I too am having problems accessing Directory server from Netscape Console installed on Winxp.
If I try to open Directory server it doesn't give any error. No windows nothing.
If I try th same from the machine on which it is installed everything is fine. What is strange is that it did open a couple of times. But at the same time I can open the admin server, Netscape Messaging server from the xp box. Searching all over for a solution. Any help/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

  • Can I install windows home server 2011 on a mac mini?

    Hey guys and girls...
Can I install windows home server 2011 on a mac mini? If so how?

WHS is 64-bit. Genius are really not versed in Boot Camp or Windows, let alone anything not on the "approved" list of Windows versions.
Most of the problems are with burning ISO, or the SuperDrive. It should have seen the NTFS partition. Disk Utility is known to be trouble, burning it on your Mac Mine but iwth Windows 7....?
Seeing you have Windows 7, format the partition to NTFS 160GB you want and then exit and boot WHS installer.
Or run the install from Windows 7.
In past, WHS supported TimeMachine, streaming video, supported iTunes (that was broken/disabled it seems by Apple with 10.0), as well as even SuperDuper backups.
Main idea is to have some network attached drives.

I have both a ISO and Burned it to a dvd useing windows 7 built in ISO burning software, Its a 64 bit copy (got from microsoft download website from my dads microsoft account).
It is enouth for the OS but it runs slowish on the mac mini (latest core 2 duo 2.4ghz model) The Idea was to have it backup my pc and laptop to a usb drive and act as a media centre pc (connected to av receaver and tv and on a gigabit network with a 2TB nas)
Since it looks like this may not work, whats the best way to make it into a media centure? mac osx? windows 7? plex? whats best and good?
I'd avoid USB like the plague. Why not use your PC instead? If I was going to use a Mini for WHS, I'd just use the Mini solely for Windows and not have OS X (you can boot OS X off an external drive anyway).

Can users access iPlanet Calendar Server 2.0 (iCS 2.x) from anywhere?
    <P>
Regardless of whether you are a remote user, mobile user, or in the
office every day, you need access to your calendaring information anytime from
anywhere. iCS 2.x provides a personal calendar and event solution that can be
any device that includes a web browser. iCS 2.x works with other Alliance
solutions such as Sun Internet Mail Server and Netscape Messaging Server
software to ensure complete access to your calendar data regardless of location,
    platform, or browser.

    Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. I have tried with your option also. Still I am getting the second time userid/password dialogue box.
Is there any other solution to avoid the second time user authentication dialogue box?
Do you want to see the ACL file?

    David Vafa wrote:
can you install : Windows Media Server?
it should work, according to this (rather old) discussion: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=2291517#post2291517.
Apple says in [this|http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1461] support article:
    Requirements
A full, single-disc version of Windows 7 (Mac OS X v10.6 or later only), Windows Vista, Windows XP Home Edition or Professional with Service Pack 2 or later. Boot Camp does not include Windows. You must provide your own properly licensed installation disc. Important: A Windows XP installation disc must include Service Pack 2 (SP2). You cannot install an earlier version of Windows and upgrade to Windows XP, nor install an earlier version of Windows XP and update it to SP2. _*Media Center, OEM, and upgrade versions of Windows XP are not recommended*_.
but they don't say it's not possible.
    good luck !

  • Trying to access Windows 2003 Server share with Mac OS 9.04

    Hi
I cannot connect to a Windows 2003 Server share on my 2003 domain. I can access the share with my MacBook (10.4.9) & my G4. I have File Services for Mac installed & can ping the server from all OS 9 Mac.
Can anyone give me some tips?
    MacBook     Administrator

How are you trying to connect to the server? Via AppleTalk or IP? (What utility are you using to ping the server from the Mac OS 9 machine?) Since you're not providing any information about error messages you're receiving or the symptoms of your problem I can only provide the following information.
If you're selecting the server from a list in the Chooser and clicking the OK button then the connection should switch to IP automatically. Make sure your Mac has TCP/IP enabled and is receiving an IP address or that you have an appropriate IP address hard-coded. You can try forcing an IP connection by entering the IP address or DNS name of the server in the Chooser rather than selecting it from the list in the Chooser.
Or you can try forcing an AppleTalk connection by selecting the server in the Chooser and holding down the Option key as you click the Connect button. If you're asked to enter your name and password then you're communicating properly with the server. This is, however, a very slow connection compared to IP.
Finally, be sure you update to the latest version of Mac OS 9, which is 9.2.2 <http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=75288>.
    Hope this helps! bill

  • Domain Joined Workstations Can't Access Internet When Server is Off

I have two Windows 7 Ultimate workstations joined to a server running Server 2012 R2 Foundation.  Whenever the Server is powered off the workstations can't access the internet via a web browser from neither a domain account nor a local
account, even though the network icon in the system tray indicates "Internet Access".
Is this a normal situation, or am I missing some settings?  This is a big problem because there are times when the server will be off, but the workstations still need to be able to work in a web browser.
I'd be very grateful for a solution to this problem.
    Capt. Dinosaur

Hi again SenneV, and thanks for the fast response; I wish the Dell community would get back even half that quickly.
"No i mean that after a while, the nla status icon on system tray will no longer state there is internet acces while there isn’t."
I was afraid that's what you meant, but I wanted to find out for sure.
"I would recommend doublechecking the bios and management ui for power options as I cannot imagine a server that would not be configurable to boot after power loss."
I couldn't imagine that either, but I've checked several time, and unless the setting is in Aramaic or mentioned in the Rosetta Stone, I couldn't find a setting for that.  There is a setting for restarting after a crash,
but not just for a return after a power failure.  I have the server on a battery backup so that it doesn't crash when a power failure occurs, but I can't even coax the server to restart after power is restored.
The server is a Dell PowerEdge T110 II, and it has BMC in the BIOS in which I've made all the necessary settings.  Unfortunately BMC doesn't have a web GUI like IDRAC, and only (supposedly) responds to IPMI.  However, I've not been able to get
that to work either.  I've downloaded Intel's "ipmiutil" and installed it on one of the workstations and the server, but I can't get the utilities to work.  I feel like I'm in the twilight zone.
I've posted questions on the Dell Community, but as yet (after almost a week) not a peep out of anyone there.  I guess I'll have to contact Dell Tech Support.
Anyhoo, thank you for your help.  I do appreciate it.
    P. S.  I tried logging into the workstations via LogMeIn while the server was shut down, and guess What!  It worked.  I was able to access both workstations even though the server wasn't running.  Now, if I can just get IPMI/BMC to work,
    my problem w/be solved.

  • ApplicationLifeCycleListener can't access Runtime MBean Server

    Hi all,
I have encountered quite a strange behaviour in Weblogic 9.0. I am actually trying to deploy an application originally developed on Weblogic 9.2 to Weblogic 9.0. Everything works fine, except the ApplicationLifeCycleListener. The Post Start method tries to register MBeans to the Runtime MBean Server and deregisteres them when the application stops in Pre Stop. In Weblogic 9.2, it works fine. I can access the MBean Server with a local connection as described here: [url http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs90/jmx/accessWLS.html#1119237]
The documentations on this for WL 9 and WL 9.2 do not differ significantly. Anyway, WL 9 quits any attempt to make local connections to the Runtime MBean Server with an Exception:
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: While trying to look up comp/env/jmx/runtime in .; remaining name 'comp/env/jmx/runtime'
It works when I move the establishment of a connection into an EJB. I suppose that the ApplicationLifeCycleListener just can't see the Runtime MBean Server in Weblogic 9.0.
What do I do wrong? :-)
    Thanks,
    S?ren

  • Can't access ex495 mediasmart server

My HP EX495 media smart server is runnng Windows Home Server.  The device went off-line the other day and I could not connect to the device through ethernet nor USB.  The nick has a solid green light and a flashing yellow lignt.  My guess is it is sending out a signal but not receiving one.  Any idea how to fix the problem?  I've tried rebooting; sending WOL messages; reseating the drives; but still can not access it.
Any guidance would be apprciated.  Thank you.

Try this? HP MediaSmart Server EX490 - Solution to LAN going offline at boot-up ‎05-18-2013 03:09 AM After swapping out a defective Netgear router, I started to experience problems with my MediaSmart server going offline immediately after boot-up. I could also see from the router stats that the EX490 established an Ethernet connection at 10Mbps when powered off, but not following boot-up. I could even use WOL to start the server, but it would drop the LAN connection shortly afterwards, without ever coming online. I tried various Cat-5 cables and 3 different routers, but I could not get the aqua LAN LED to stay on for more than about 30 seconds after boot. I could see the yellow LED on the RJ45 NIC port flash very occasionally, but that was about it. I managed to establish a PC to EX490 direct connection and so could get into the server via Remote Desktop, which again suggested there was nothing fundamentally wrong with the NIC port or cables. I tried upgrading the Realtec PCIe driver to no effect, checked there were no conflicting LAN addresses, DHCP services, etc., etc., and even considered doing a server rebuild. Eventually, I found a solution that works for me. Using the peer-to-peer LAN connection and Remote Desktop, go to the EX490 Device Manager, select the Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller Properties, Advanced Tab and scroll down through the Property window to Speed and Duplex. Change Auto Negotiation to 100Mbps Full Duplex, save and reboot the server. It seems in my case that the EX490 is no longer coping with negotiating connection to a Gigabit LAN (still not sure why), but slowing the card down to 100Mbps is giving me a rock-solid connection. I hope this post will help others who may be contemplating using their MediaSmart as an expensive bookend or doorstop.

  • Can't access Software Update Server

I have 3 macs in my house, all connected to a wireless router. 2 of them have no problem using Software Update. The third returns the message:
"Software Update can't connect to the update server. Make sure you're connected to the internet, then try again."
I know that I am connected to the internet. Is there some setting, software firewall, that is preventing me from accessing the update server?

I even pulled my boot drive, installed it in an external firewire case, attached it to an iMac that has no problem with software update. Then I booted the iMac with the external drive and now it can't access SU from that drive. I deleted SU preferency from the Library, but it didn't work.

Tried to connect to www.comcast.com/activate  - could not connect to any site, using Chrome, Firefox or IE. Chrome and Firefox timed out, IE's message was "microsoft.com is online, but not responding. I disconnected the gateway and reconnected my modem and router, and I'm back on the internet. Of course, I can't activate the comcast phone service I purchased.

The thing is...i want to get SAP installed in my Macbook leopard, for that to happen u need windows server OS.

To clarify what was previously mentioned... you can only install 2003 Server using virtualization software such as Parallels or VMware's Fusion. You cannot install Windows 2003 Server using BootCamp which is the boot manager shipped with Leopard.

  • Can't access windows or dv6t-3000 recovery partition after unix boot menu removal.

I have a dv6t-3000 laptop running Win 7 Home premium 64 bit; my son had put a unix partition on it. Since I tried to bypass the unix boot menu using MBR (the idea of my brother, the IT professional) the laptop just gives a unix error message at startup (error: no such partition. grub rescue> _) If I hit escape while starting up I get the startup menu including F11 System Recovery but Fn+F11 (it's a laptop) does nothing and hitting the F11 key itself just sends me back to the Unix error message.
Shamefully I never made a set of recovery discs; how can I boot into Recovery? Would the Recovery USB flash disk utility work, or screw things up further? Any help would be appreciated!

Sadly, I must recommend that you purchase a recovery disc set.
Playing around with Linux ( probably ReiserFS) and MBR does bad things to the Windows boot sector. One option is to reinstall GRUB. The second option is If your brother can find a Windows 7 64-bit repair disc for you, then you may be able to repair the boot sector.  That should make the original Windows 7 installation useable again. Otherwise you will need the recovery disk set to restore all functionality, including the recovery partition and the F11 recovery manager access.
    Sorry to bear bad news.
