WM: stock removal strategies

HI all.
I include a stock removal strategy "F_FIFO" per storage type.
The thing is that when I create a TO for delivery picking or transfer between warehouses TO is created including the origin bin based on this strategy, but how can avoid to follow this strategy when scrapping, for example? Sometimes it is necessary to include manually the origin bin during TO creation or at least, necessary to be changed the one proposed?
Any idea??
Thanks!!!!

Hi,
In my opionion, you shoud try to use one of the following exits:
" MWMTO004 - "Own stock removal strategy" (FIFO strategy)
MWMTO013 - "Own stock removal strategy" (stringent FIFO strategy)"
According to SAP documentation, it is possible, to combine standard strategy with your own stock removal strategy. (look at IMG help: Logistic Execution -> Warehouse management -> Strategies -> Stock Removal Strategies -> Develop Extensions for Picking Strategies".
In order to use your logic implemented in user exit, after implementing user exit, you have to mark field "User exit active" in 'Stock removal control' section of respective Storage Type customizing.
good luck - hope it helps.

  • Large/Small quantity stock removal vs partial stock removal.

    Hi All,
I am trying to get following configuration in place: Stock removal A (partial pallet) with Full stock removal "Checked" and return the unused stock to storage type mentioned under "return storage type". But I am getting following error "For Compl. Stock removal or SU managed, either pick point or return to same bin). But if you see the SAP documentation it allows this configuration. My 2 storage types which I am using have SU & non-SU managed with putaway strategy as "next empty bin" as we don't know what are the weight or quantity restriction on each rack location for now.
My second config issue is related to usage of stock removal strategy M (large/small qty). Like mentioned above I have to area; SU & non-SU managed. And I would like to use F (FIFO) strategy for non-SU managed inventory and use M for SU managed inventory with an option of checking if the quantity is higher than SU, pick the remaining small quantity from non-SU managed place. Can I acheive with different stock removal at storage type level; one with M and another with F or do I need to have M.
Let me know if more clarity is required to provide responses.
    Thanks.

    Hello,
    For 1:
Partial picking can be done on a SU with the usage of a pick point . The pick point is a place where materials are brought and moved for a partial pick up from an SU. In the std system storage types 010 & 011 have been defined for the same.
you may refer to the following link: Partial pick using a pick point and how you carry out with SU's invloved.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/c6/f85c504afa11d182b90000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
    For 2:
When you want to use M  as the stock removal strategy, the following needs to be done:
    1) You define a "small" storage type where only a limited quantity can be removed. ( the control qty in the WM2 view of MM)
    2) You define a "large" storage type and this will be removing quantities above the control quantity limit
    3) Define the control quantity of all those materials that you want to be picked from the small storage type. (This could probably correspond to your SU qty, )
you need to have the smaller storage type set as "M " and when you are customizing search strategy for the storage types ( SPRO> LE>WM--> Strategies >stock removal strategies> Define strategy for large/ small qty, you can then define the first storage type for E as smaller storage type and then the larger storage type  i.e. the second one should be higher than the preceding one.
    Please see if this helps.

  • WM - Stock removal strategy: small/large quantities

I have two different storage types: one to remove small quantities of a
product (with negative stocks available) and one for the large ones. In
the material master record I have established for a product that
quantities lower than 50 units are removed from the first storage type.
I also have defined for the product one stock removal rule (to search
for material in the two storage types)
When I don't have enough available stock in my small quantities storage
type, the system always search for stock in the other storage type
(although I asked for 10 units), but what I need really is to have a
negative available stock in this storage, and I will do a reposition.
It's not correct that for small quantities it searchs in the large
    quantities storage type.
If in the stock removal rule I'd only put the small quantities storage
type, then I get negative available stock in the storage type, but,
logically, the system then doesn't find from where to remove large
    quantities.
    Thank you

    Hi Paloma,
I hope defined the strategies for both the storage types (for large and small qty.) what about the the negative stocks, how are you going to do the configuration. Mostly what you can do is, you can allow the negative stocks for that particular storage type, but you can't guide the system to create negative quants if the quantity is small.
    Hope it is helpful

  • Block upon stock removal indicator in Storage type master data

What is the significance of "Block upon stock removal" in storage type master data. Would it work if the storage type is bulk storage and SUT active?

The config setting with indicator 1 will stop you from creating  more TOs for a bin in st type 425 if there are already open picking TO for that bin. In other words lets say you have a stock of  material  u201C79010460u201D in st type 425 u2013 B20B bin and you have created a picking TO from this bin unless you confirm this TO no more picking/stock removal TOs will be allowed and the bin will be blocked. You can see that block on bin in LS06 transaction. Once the TO is confirmed the block will be lifted automatically from the bin to create new Picking TOs.

  • Issue on complete stock removal

    Dear All,
I am configuring WM in my test system.
Can anyone tell me what are the settings reqd for complete stock removal from a storage type so that the extra qty is returned to the source/destination storage bins when I create a TO against a delivery.
I tried the following assignments but its not working.
    1. Shelf Storage type (which is my source storage type) I have ticked the Full stock removal as well as return to same bin indicator. (Since SU Mgmt is active for the storage type).
    2. Assigned a Return Storage type & bin in  601 mov.type.
    Note:
System is picking the full Qty in TO only if I tick the overdeliveries indicator in 601 mov.type. Why ??
With the above assignements system is neither displaying the Return storage type & bin which I mentioned above  nor  my source storage type (shelf Storage) when I create a TO against a delivery.
Please advice how to solve it.
    Hope its clear.
    Regards,

See as I mentioned above if I tick the return to the same storage bin in my source storage then system will remove the complete quantity from the storage bin irrespective of delivery qty when I create a TO using LT03. But the quantity which will be displayed at the time of TO creation will be the delivery qty & the remaining qty will be blocked for removal till I confirm this TO using LT12. Right ??
    As I mentioned before:
    A) "Return stock to same bin" > Yes, the SU will be blocked for stock removal and the TO quantity is the delivery qty (not the qty of the whole SU)
    B) The difference of whole SU qty and delivery qty will get to the pick point
. When will we put the tick in the Retain overdelivery field in the interim storage type (916). & whats its effect ?
because return to same bin option is mandatory if we put the full stock removal for SU managed storage types.
In case of SUM is active, the "Retain..." indicator has no meaning, because whether you use "Return stock to same bin" indicator or pick point.
("Return stock to same bin" is not mandatory in case of SUM is active, other option is pick point.)
    2. Do we use the return storage type & return bin in the mov.type - 601 & also the return Storage type in the storage type master only incase of Non-SU Managed Storage types, If not, when will these fields come into picture incase of SU Managed Storage types.
To be more specific, Suppose If I assign a Return Storage type & bin in the mov.type settings or if I assign a return storage type in the Source storage type when will this be determined in LT03 ?
    1. I wanted to assign "Return storage type" in case of SUM is active > I got error mesage LT088.
    2. Even if return storage type was defined for the WM-mvt, it didn't have any effect in case of pick point (and it has no meaning in case of "Return stock to same bin").
Based on point 1&2 I think these settings are not applicable for SUM.

  • Stock Removal using Pick Point

    Hi all,
I have configure Storage Type 100 with SU managed and a pick point ST 001.
Once the TO is generated from delivery, the TO information will be from source ST100 to destination ST916.
So I would like to know, how to identify the SU is arrived pick point? If there any status or information can help me to know the status of TO.
    Since i need to identify,
1.SU still in the Source Storage Type (TO open)
2.Worker starts transfer to SU to pick point with liftfork
    3.SU arrived Pick point
4.Picker picked the material from pick point (TO picked)
5.Picker transferred the material to GI area (TO transferred and completed)
I dun know how to let user know the status of 2 and 3
    Thanks in advance.
    David Tai

    Hi David,
If the pick point / ID point is defined for SType 100 then during transfer order creation system will automatically stamps the destination storage type as Pick point when it is taking out the stock from Stype  100
I have simulated one scenario where for my storage type 010 the ID point / Pick Point is defined as 011
Stock removal / putaway defined in material master & Stock in Storage bin are as below
& the Putaway / Picking storage type search is defined as
Now for the Transfer order creation i am using the T-Code  LT09 (enter the SU number & MvT and system automatically propose 011 as destination storage type in the transfer order
Upon confirmation of the transfer order 0168, use LT09 again to transfer the SU from Pick point to final destination bin and system automatically propose 010 as the final destination storage type
    Hope this helps

  • User Defined Stock Removal Strategy

    Hi,
We want to define a user defined stock removal strategy while creating TO for delivery using transaction LT03. This can be done in user exit MWMTO004. Although we modify the output table T_QMAT in this exit as per requirement , the TO is not split as per the table.
SAP proposes all the batch bins in table T_QMAT , but if all the delivery quantity is found in first bin itself , the TO is created with that bin only , no Split. We wish to split the TO as per table T_QMAT.
How to split the TO as per proposal from the exit ?
    Please provide some ideas.
    Regards,
    Tushar

    Hello,
You can change the Storage unit type in this exit EXIT_SAPLL03A_005 of TO creation transaction.
I am not sure, If this helps you.
    Thanks and Regards

  • How to put bin information to table T_QMAT thru user exit for stock remove?

    Hi,
I have already use stock removal strategy 'F' and checked the flag 'User exit active', but the value in table T_QMAT filled by the standard system not include all vendors. So I need to use stock removal strategy " " and set up the table T_QMAT by the user exit.
Do you know what is the user exit and the ABAP coding to put bin information to table T_QMAT for stock removal?
    Best Regards,
    Chris.

    Hi Chris,
You can use the exit: EXIT_SAPLL03A_005 to populate t_qmat table based on your requirements. As you have already mentioned, it is important to check the flag: User exit active in SPRO, but bear in mind the stock removal strategy has to be BLANK. If you use F, then standard SAP auto-populates the T_QMAT table.

    Narendra.

  • Block manual stock removal  for a storage type

    Hi,
Is there any configurational setting where in we can block manual stock removal (i.e creation of TO with mvt type 999) for a particular storage type.
    Thanks
    Prakash

    Hi,
Try using the transaction LS05, give the storage type and the bin range to block all the existing bins.
But i am not sure if there is any setting at the movement type level.

  • Full stock removal functionality for 201 movement type

    Dear Friends
I am facing one problem with full stock removal. As per my requirement, system should remove full container to staging area there
the requried qtty will remove and the remainging qtty goes to another storage type. When I post 201 movement type, system is not picking the full container.
When I observe movement type it is using dynamic bin and I changed it to static bin and I created a bin in 911 and I did the positng it picking the full container.
My question is, I chaanged in movement type and is there any impact for the same.
    Regards
    Raghu

    Hi
The only impact I can think of is with the 'dynamic bin'setting the bin is the cost centre and with your change ALL of your Goods issues to cost centre will be in the same bin and so clearing these quantities out will not be so easy as when you create the TO to 'pick' the stock to clear it out it will not be able to pick the specific bin for the cost centre, However as all of tyhe stock is in the same 'bin' it should not be too much of an issue as it will jsut reduce the bin by the qty on the TO.
It just means that if you want to report on the stock in 911 then it will all be inthe same bin and you cannot differentiate as to which material was put there by which cost centre

  • No stock removal strat

Hello group!! can you say me how does WM work when I select the picking strategy "No stock removal strat" (blanck)?
I made some tests and it appears to take storage types and bins in an alphabetic order? Am I correct?
    thanks!

Hello group!! can you say me how does WM work when I select the picking strategy "No stock removal strat" (blanck)?
I made some tests and it appears to take storage types and bins in an alphabetic order? Am I correct?
    I don't think that.
If I remove the stock removal strategy and I define only that storage type in the search sequence I get error message L3 008 ("System cannot find source storage bin").
If you fill the storage type search sequence with "***", stringent FIFO will be used:

  • FIFO STRATEGY FOR STOCK REMOVAL

    Dear Experts,
I have problem, I have assigned FIFO Stock Strategy for Stock Removal in all storage types, but I am facing problem when we recieve sales return (with reference to old sales order),  our company wants that the removal of old sales return to be done first by system automatically, please confirm, how to achieve this.
    Please help urgently.
    Regards
    Ishu

    Hi
FIFO works on the GR date against the quant
You can use LS22 to 'change' the quant and in there you can change the GR date
The issue is that because you receive the stock in on say 01.03.2011 that becomes the GR date even if the stock is 6 months old
Therefore changing the GR date to say 01.06.2010 (or earlier than your existing stock) itmeans that it will get picked earlier
    I hope that this helps

  • Stock removal issue

    Hi Experts,
To make a finish product of hose i need to pick different components as per order. In that I need to pick a hose for example : 50 EA. If I see physically in storage type I can get 50 EA, greater than 50 EA and less than 50 EA but for example if 100 EA placed in bin earlier than other pieces.
When the user looks for picking 50EA of hose it is giving him 100 EA hose because of FIFO rule , then user to cut the hose and use only for 50 EA. But, we need to make efficient pick I mean system should have picked 50EA because it is available in bin.
Can you please suggest what is the best pick rule to make the efficient pick ? Using EWM 7.0 version.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Juergen,
Thank you for your reply. Already defined unit for HOSE product is only EA in system, i don't see any
unit with meter or inches in stock removal table sort fields. Can you please suggest me what should i
do for this case now? I dont have idea on this to define new rule.
      Thank you in advance.
      Thank you...

  • Stock Removal to Default bin

    Hi All,
I need to do a stock removal to a default storage bin against a delivery note. But the question here is, the standard SAP already has a strategy to have a stock removal to Shipping area as the interim bin. Which I cant use , and How do I  control  the movement to this interim bin when doing a TO.
    thanks for the help
    G

In the interface to WM movement type, there's a field called 'Special Movement Indicator' which allows you determine different WM movement type. I attached the following Documentation for your review :
Special movement indicator for warehouse management
    Use
This indicator is used to separate special posting procedures for Materials Management documents from the standard processing method. You can enter it manually for each goods movement in the Materials Management system. The system uses it to determine the movement type in the Warehouse Management system. In this way, different movement types in the Warehouse Management system as well as different interim storage types can be assigned to one movement type in the Inventory Management system.
    Example
A goods receipt is posted to interim storage type 902 with movement type 101.  If you enter this indicator as well, the tables are set up so that in this case the goods receipt is automatically posted to interim storage type 903.
Perhaps you can consider using this indicator to allow system determine a new customized WM movement type, which will then decides the bin it moves to. Hope this helps.
