Wms - Packing Workbench

I am trying to understand the packing workbench functionality - navigation is as follows:
Responsibility - WMS Super User -> Inventory Manager -> Packing Workbench
When I select the drop down in packing work bench field, I get following error:
app -FND-01048: Use of this combination restricted by WHERE clause ' ((SUBINVENTORY_CODE IN (select secondary_inventory_name from mtl_secondary_inventories where organization_id =7851 and lpn_controlled_flag = 1)) AND (inventory_location_type = 5));
Please help me overcome this error..

thanks, error has gone away when I made it LPN enabled.
My question is:
Can't we do the packing in a Non-LPN controlled sub-inventory?

  • Packing from Decentralized WMS

We are working on decentralized WMS integration with non-SAP system. We have a problem now - SAP doesn't allow to create handling units for shipment received with SHPMNT IDoc from an external warehouse.
What is a process planed within decentralized WMS, how packages can be created, if we want to put in a single handling unit items from different deliveries?
We planned to use shipment document for that, but now because of error saying "The handling units for the item that is to be packed are maintained in another (decentralized) system. It is not possible to pack in this system." it's not clear anymore
    Thanks
    Maris

Thanks for answering, but can you please be more specific?
We are planning to follow that procedure:
    1) SAP sends outbound deliveries to WMS
    2) WMS sends back confirm decentral for goods issue
    3) WMS sends shipments with packing data, where in handling units several deliveries are packed together
We cannot use packing for deliveries with confirm decentral idoc, because WMS packs in single handling units items from different deliveries. They pack the goods the most efficient way and if several deliveries has to be delivered to customer, then WMS packs them all together.
What is the procedure that you have?

  • How to create an LPN in WMS

    Hi,
I need to understand how do you create an LPN in WMS. I have ran the concurrent program - "Generate LPN" for a container item but I don't see the LPN's reflecting in the packing workbench screen.
I understand that in the Mobile screen, it can be generate using "Contol +G" command. However, in the application - how do you create the LPN. Also, when an LPN is assigned to an item - will it reflect as an extra line in the shipping transaction form?
    Please advise.
    thanks,
    Vipin

    Kartik,
In material wb, LPN does reflect but quantity for the container items is not reflecting. Even though I had run the Generate LPN program for the container items.
Can you throw lite on what Generate LPN program does? I was under the impression that this program would populate the create LPN from the application.
    regards,
    Vipin

  • How to get clients connected in WMS on windows server 2008 with c# coding

Sorry to bother anyone about this question.
Can anyone knows how to retrieve amount of client connection to Windows Media Server in real time same as WMS does on server console by c# programming ?
I got logfiles of WMS in system32 directory for details but it must be off-line of all connections which will able to get those informations for doing anything, but in this case I want real time client connection
at online when a client connects to WMS that I will get amout of that client also.
I have tried to search Windows Media Service SDK to develop this on my Windows 7 OS,but I did not find that really.
    Can anyone knows this,please ?
    Regards,
    BigBerm

    Hi SYaGCi,
Denis is right this is actually documented in the Supported Platforms Documentation:
"Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 are new platform support additions in Service Pack 3 which are only available for support on the SP3 full release install of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise. The SP3 patch only release of SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise does not provide support for these two new platforms."
    Kind regards,
    John

    Hello,
    I did what you told:
    - the mysql Jar version was already the  mysql-connector-java-5.1.6-bin.jar (may be due to update SP2),
    - I changed to adobe-ds.xml file,
    - I tried to launch the workbench with -Xmx512m in the command line.
    Here is the result:
1- the launch of the workbench isa bit faster.
2- when I try to login with the administrator account, it takes a long while. Then I get an error: I can not logon to the livecycle ES server from the workbench. The message is "Authentication for user administrator on server ... failed, please retry".
In my log file, I get the following.
    eclipse.buildId=unknown
    java.version=1.5.0_12
    java.vendor=Sun Microsystems Inc.

I also got another error message - with another configuration when triying to launch the workbench with JRE 1.6.0.12 (I hoped for better performance when replacing the JRE folder) :

I also tried to to logon after renaming the folder JRE under: C:\Program Files\Adobe\LiveCycle ES\Workbench ES\Workbench . In order to use my default JRE which is 1.5.0-12.
On the whole, I still get so errors and I can not logon.
Do you have any suggestion ?
Thank you for taking some time to reply.
What I am tried to do is to added a HelloComponent.jar fronm a tutorial:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/articles/dsc_development.html
My final  goal is to developp a ECM Connector.

  • Problems with Workbench 1.2.1

Oracle Migration Workbench 1.2.1 gives me the following errors in
converting MS SQL 6.5 to Oracle 8i:
Error 1: second column (DBName)is converted to length of 1
    instead of 2.
    MS table create:
    CREATE TABLE dbo.DBRecordCounts
    Date datetime NULL,
    DBName varchar(2) NOT NULL,
    TableName sysname NOT NULL,
    rows int NOT NULL
    go
    Oracle 8i result:
    CREATE TABLE SCBDP.DBRECORDCOUNTS
    DATE_ DATE DEFAULT null NULL,
DBNAME VARCHAR2(1) DEFAULT null NOT NULL,
TABLENAME VARCHAR2(30) DEFAULT null NOT NULL,
ROWS_ NUMBER(10) DEFAULT null NOT NULL
Error 2: the DEFAULT added to each column in every table as in
    the above example.
Error 3: for a column X numeric(19,11) the value in the source
system is: 19881031.00000006867. The value in the target
(Oracle) is 19881031.00000010100. The same fractional value
(.000000101000) is generated for all data values where there are
6-7 zeros after the decimal. Not only all precision is lost for
a datatype which explicitly maintains precision, but it also
results in duplicate keys because this column is part of unique
    index!
Error 4: The workbench does not resolve cross-database references
    as in the following example.
In SQL 6.5 there is a database DB1 owned by user USER1
    with a table TABLE1.
There is also a database DB2 owned by user USER2 with a
    table TABLE2.
In DB2 there is a stored procedure SP2 that has the
    following statement:
    select * from DB1..TABLE1, TABLE2 where ...
    The workbench created a schema USER1 with a table TABLE1, a
schema USER2 with a table TABLE2 and stored procedure SP2 with
    the following statement:
    select * from TABLE1, TABLE2 where ...
This is obviously wrong. It should have generated the following
    SQL:
    select * from USER1.TABLE1, TABLE2 where ...
The only way to fix this is to manually search all cross-database
references in SQL 6.5 and then manually reapply appropriate
references in Oracle. Note, that there is no comment or
    documentation of this behavior.
Error 5: Table and trigger create scripts do not have line
breaks: everything is one long un-editable line with more than
    4K characters!
Error 6: when creating data migration scripts, the directory of
the scripts should be <log dir>\sqlserver6. Instead it puts it
into <log dir>sqlserver6 -- the \ is omitted. The only way to
find where the files went is to do a search!
Error 7: when creating data migration scripts, the BCP bat file
is overwritten each time it is run. Since there is no global
data migration button, each schema's tables have to be run
    separately!
Error 8: when creating data migration scripts, not all tables
have a BCP line in the BAT file and Oracle CTL file created !
Error 9: when creating data migration scripts, each time it is
run a different number of CTL files / BCP lines is generated, but
never for a complete list of tables! There is no way to generate
    BCP/CTL for all tables!!!
Error 10: when converting large databases with many objects, the
workbench just stops: no messages, but it does not do anything.
The only way to proceed is to kill the process.
Error 11: There are memory leaks: the process starts with about
20mb and continuously grows until the only thing it is doing is
swapping on a Pentium II 450mhz with 128 mb RAM WindowsNT 4.0
service pack 4. The only application running is Workbench.
Oracle server is running on a different machine.
Error 12: Documentation was not updated for Oracle 8i. In
particular, the discussion of temporary tables is useless, since
there is no description of functionality of temporary tables in
Oracle 8i. All examples are from the documentation of Workbench
1.0.4 for Oracle 8 where no temporary tables are available!
    To be continued...

    Dear All
I'm a MM consultant. I would like to know about the Process flow,Master data & Organization structure of WMS.
    pl help me
    Thanks
    pavan

    Hi Pavan,
Generally in WMS we have 3 processes
    1. Inbound Process
    2. Outbound Process
    3. Return Process
    4. Internal Warehouse Movements.
    Inbound Process Flow -
PO > Goods Receipt>Inbound Delivery -->Packing --> Transfer Order --> Putaway --> transfer Order confirmation --> Post Goods Receipt
    Outbound Process Flow -
Sales Order --> Outbound Delivery --> Transfer Order --> Picking --> Packing(Optional) --> Transfer Order Confirmation --> Post Goods Issue
Return Process is similar to Inbound Process
    Internal Warehosue Movements include
    1. Bin to Bin Stock Movement
    2. Storage type to Storage Type Movement
    3.Stock Category Changes
    4.Cycle Counting etc.,

  • Intransit Shipment from WMS Enabled to Non-WMS Enabled Org

    Hi All,
When performing Intransit Shipment (IOT) from WMS Enabled to Non-WMS Enabled Org, we are not able to Ship goods which are lying in LPNs.
As a work around, we are unpacking them and shipping. But this will not work in the long run for the client as it consumes more time.
Any inputs on this will be highly appreciated.

  • Need to stop Email Notification only from Compensation workbench

    Hi All,
I Need to stop Email Notification only from Compensation workbench, if is there any possiblility kindly guide me guys as I am stuck up due to this.
    Regards,

    Hi,
I can see two CWB workflows - bencwbfy.wft and benssenrtfyi.wft. These are available under $BEN_TOP. You can open these workflows through the Oracle Workflow Builder and note down their workflow names. Thereafter, you can download the definitions of these workflows (most current workflows from the database) from the database through the concurrent program - Workflow Definitions Loader - which should result in the wft files on the destination you've provided running the concurrent program.
Copy those files from the server, and edit them locally using Workflow Definitions Loader to remove or redirect workflow notifications appropriately. Please be aware that this amounts to a customization so you should evaluate the impacts of doing this on your installation. Also, for CWB to support custom workflow, my understanding is that you need to be at Family Pack J or above (you may wish to validate this through Support, though).

  • Perishables Workbench - Area of Responsibility creation issue

    Hi,
In the Perishables Workbench(NWBC) while creating the Area of Responsibility for the Buyer, ending up with the below error message at Step 4(Select Recipients). Please advice.
"Recipients not found for selected supplying sites and articles"
    Note: Using Enhancement Pack 5.
    Thanks!
    Krishna

    Solution:
IMG - Material Management - Consumption-Based Planning - Forecast - Alternative Historical Data and Post Distribution Forecasting - General Settings - Control of Alternative Historical Data and Post Distribution Forecast.
    New Entry
    RP Type - ND
Method - AHD1 (  you will not find any existing values, you can create new values by using the create values button)
    DRD Profile - PP
    This should resolve the issue.

  • Workbench transport requests on EHP4 -Yes or No?

    Hi,
I read from somewhere that one cannot safely transport workbench requests from a system that already has an Enhancement Pack to a system that does not have one.
Any truth in this statement? Thanks.

    Hi,
Yes its true. Its not recommended to do transport between system having different releases.
    Thanks

  • Service Pack needed for ABAP MApping ?

    Hi everyone.
i'm trying to activate the ABAP MAPPING but it's no working.
I've done everything SAP documents say. Even i've followed all your posts but it doesn't work.
I wanto to know if ABAP MAPPING is available for Service Pack 9 (the one i have).
    Thanks.

    Hi
According to help.sap for ABAP Mapping
<i>"To reference the development objects of the ABAP Workbench from interface mappings, customers must assign the following value to the parameter com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes in the exchange profile:
    <b>com.sap.aii.repository.mapping.additionaltypes=R3_ABAP|Abap-class;R3_XSLT|XSL (ABAP Engine)</b>"</i>
So go in Exchange Profile and chk whether this parameter has this value.
U can also go thru this blog to test ur mapping
    /people/sameer.shadab/blog/2005/09/29/testing-abap-mapping
    Hope it helps.

  • New LiveCycle ES2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) now avialable

Adobe has released LiveCycle ES2 Service Pack 1.  Service Pack 1 updates LiveCycle ES2 server components,LiveCycle Workbench ES2, (updating both is required) and can only be deployed on LiveCycle ES2.
Please visit, https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=lces2_sp to download Service Pack 1.  Additional details on the contents of the service pack, including the issues it addresses and installation instructions are included in the Read Me file available at the same URL.  A file extraction utility such as WinZip/gnu tar/unzip will be required in order to extract the files prior to running the installation.
The direct link to the Service Pack download is http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=lces2_sp.
You can also access the download from a few locations on LiveCycle DevNet pages:
    1.     Downloads tab:  http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/index.html?view=downloads
    2.     Get It section on the Get Started page: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/livecycle/get_started.html

    Hi Iakov,
If you click the link above (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=lces2_sp) and click 'Agree' you will get to this page:
You can download the LS Designer ES2 SP1 from there as a single component. Because, like us you are standalone LC Designer ES2 (from Acrobat Pro Ext) without Workbench, you can just update the LC Designer ES2 component.
We have sucessfully installed the update.
    Good luck,
    Niall
