  • Work center's migration by POIM

I should migrate work centers from R3 to R3 and I would prefer not to use LSMW. I tried doing it by POIM but all I obtained is an IDOC I can't upload by the POIL. I think the problem concerns with the procedure (ED00, ED08) you have to use for the message LOIWCS (work center for POIM)...
How can I upload that IDOC?

Hey I am also facing same problem.
    Did you get any solution?
    Thanks

  • Same work center  being used  in different routings

    Hi
    I have requirement  like this:
Workcenter  WC1  works in two shifts  Shist A  & B.
It is being used in two routings for different products  X & Y.
Product X will be prodiced in shift A.
Product Y will be produced in Shift B.
How to schedule it  for different shifts for different products.
    Thankls in advance.
    Regards
    YMREDDY

since workcentre is not working on the material based.
but the routing worked on the material based
give the shifting timing and the break timing in the work center alone
you have to select the matrl product x in the routing and the sequence of operation for the product is mentioned that the product that be there for the working in the
    shift A .
product Y is to be sequenced to work at that w.c at shift B

  • Data Migration - Work Center? 4.0B - 4.7

Hey guys, i'm going to need to need to migrate my work center data in 4.0B to 4.7. ALE doesn't seem like its an option. Does anyone know of a good way to do this without manually creating the data?
    Thanks,
    -Shaunt

There is a direct input program that we used via LSMW in 46C to load work centers before.  The object is 0260.  Method 0000.  Program name RCRAPDX2.  Program type D - Direct Input.

  • Work center and routings

    Hi all,
    can any one explain me
how to delete work centers, routings
Plz explin me step by step
    how to delete with T-codes
    Regards
    kumar

    Hi Kumar,
    For Routing:
I presume you know how to delete a routing via CA02, so let me put across the method via CEWB,
    1. T-code: CEWB, select SAP_TASK as the current working area
    2. Select Additional Selection Criteria
    3. Specify the materials, plant & Task list type as N
    4. Click CTRL + F5
    5. Select the rows individually or press CTRL + F2 for all routings, now scroll to your right, you will find a column called Deletion flag.
    5. Select this column & click on Extras -> Mass Change, in the following pop up box, select the new value as X & press F8, system will put out an information box, informing you that the routing was changed.
    6. Click on save & exit.
    7. Tcode - CA98
8, Enter all the material numbers using the extended selection, specify the plant, task list as N, select deletion flag check box & also complete task lists radio button & execute.
    Hope the above helps.

  • Dyanmic work center selection in production order based on material

    Hi ALL,
We’ve a business requirement to support the following functionality.
There are four similar type of milling machines say MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, we create a single work center called MILLMC by specifying total capacity of four milling machines in the capacity header screen of work center with 4 individual capacities. And we mention work center MILLMC in the operation of routings for respective materials.
However, during production order creation, there needs to be provision for detailed planning of work centers as per the following requirements
In production order, some operations can be performed on any one of the machines MILL1 MILL2, MILL3, MILL4, so provision needs to be there to enter exact machine on which it is performed in the production order operation after the details are copied from respective routing during production order creation.
In production order, some operations can be performed on only MILL3, so system should select only MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order
In production order, some operations can be performed on either MILL1 or MILL2 or MILL4 and not on MILL3, so system should not select MILL3 in the respective operation of the production order.
Please provide your valuable feedback to support the above requirements.
    Regards,
    Satya.

    Hi Satyanarayan,
Please do refer to the below document. I think the same concept can be used for work centers as it is used for resources in PI industry.

  • Request for detailed acts to upload Work center,  BOM, Routing data in LSMW

    Hello PP ANgels,
Request for detailed actions to upload Work center/Resource,  BOM, Routing/Recipe data in LSMW.
    Thanks in advance

    Sanjay,
In the forum I found that you had used some "drops", that require a password to view.
In these forums, the only links I post are public (help.sap.com) and from SAP support (service.sap.com/support).  SAP Support is mostly available only to customers and partners of SAP.  If you meet these criteria, and need a login for the SAP support site, contact the license administrator for your company's SAP licence (this is usually a Basis person).  If you cannot locate this person in your company, contact Service Marketplace directly (service.sap.com/mp).  Alternatively you can contact your local SAP Sales office and speak to your account administrator.
Maybe it would be a better idea to group all standard solutions in one place.
I expect it will be so...in Nirvana.  Here, life still entails suffering.
With respect to your detailed questions, I would have a hard time answering, I have never used recordings in LSMW to create work centers, I always use standard batch/direct input.  I suspect that the VGEXX items are the units of measure from CRHD, I suspect LARXX items are activities from CSSL, and I couldn't comment on FORXX items without doing some research.
This is the SCM PP forum.  You might get more answers posting this in the ERP PP forum SAP ERP Manufacturing - Production Planning (SAP PP) , since work centers/routings/recipes/BOMs are more or less irrelevant in SCM.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.

  • Parallel processing in the same work center

    Dear Guys,
There is a routing sequence in which some 2-3 operations will occur parallely & those operations will belong to a same work center,How to map those operations in the routing,do i need to maintain parallel processing ,if so then how to go about

    Parallel Sequence
    Definition
A linear sequence of operations that is parallel to a sequence of operations in the standard sequence.
    Use
A parallel sequence enables you to process several operations at the same time. A parallel sequence is carried out at the same time as the corresponding section in the standard sequence. It is a special form of overlapping operations.
    Integration
You can create parallel sequences in routings and rate routings. You cannot create them in reference operation sets or reference rate routings.             Creating a Parallel Sequence
    Call up the sequence overview.
    Choose Edit ® New entries.
The Choose Sequence Category dialog box appears.
Select Parallel sequence and press Continue.
The Sequence Details screen is displayed.
    Enter the necessary data.
Select Operation overview to create operations for the parallel sequence.
    so particularly in your case
    WORK CENTRE OF 10, 20, 30 ,40, 50  ASSUME TO THERE
OPERATION OF THE SEQU : 1,2,3,4,5
SUPPOSE 3,4 ARE PARALLEL SEQUN AND THE WORK CENTRE 30,40 ARE SAME TYPRE TO OPR SAME

  • What are the control functions of Suitability and setup type key in work center?

    Hi all,
Can any1 plz tell me what is suitability and setup type key in workcenter default values tab?
what are the functions controlled by these keys?

    Hello,
Control Key in Defaut value keys screen is mainly for defining how the work center will be used in routings.
Almost in all the PP we define same Control key to the work center as well in the routing.
For example in work center control Key PP01 is used to define Routings/Internal proc. activities. When we go to the routing screen even if we do not see our components, work centers or control key we have to manually enter these details ans here control Key will remain the same as it was in Work center.
No. of individual capacity defines how many machines are there of the same type in the work center. E.g if I have 5 CNC machines then I will make One work center and in capacity screen I will put 5 as No. of individual Capacity.

  • Regarding  work center master creation In PP

Hi Iam Kiran working on routings and work centers creation.I want to know how the  formulaes are derived for caluculating capacities, shedulling,Costing.where can I find study material regarding formulae derivation. For the above mentioned. Please respond if your having any material with respect to this content.

    Hi Kiran,
Please use the following transaction to create/check the parameters & formulas,
    OP17 - Create formula parameter
OP19  - Maintain standard value key. (The parameters created are entered in this standard value key & this std value key is used in the work center (CR03) basic data tab page)
    OP21 - Create Formulas
These formulas are assigned in the capacity, scheduling & costing tab page in the workcenter.
This workcenter is assigned to an operation in the routing (CA03).

  • Confirmation - Work Center - Routing

    Hi all,
I try to understand routings. When i try to confirm an operation with BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT for a work center which is not defined in routings, it returns no problem. But it is not in routing. How can it be confirmed? Or what changes when define the workcenter and confirm with it?
    Thanks,

Has it relation with standard times ?

  • Regarding work center configuration.

    Hi PP Gurus,
We need to take an account to Rated Line Speed (Bottles per minute)  (i.e. It should be the current capacity of the bottling line operating at the full rated speed, irrespective of the bottling format).
We're using Discrete Manufacturing scenario and work center (CR01). How could it be taken into account.
Is there any alternte way to put an additional fiueld in work center create (CR01)/work center change (CR02) transaction code?
    Thanks & Regards,

    hi,
What I mentioned is ,  create a reference operation set of one operation with that particular work center  and maintain operation times as the speed of that line  ( 100 bottles for minute should be entered as base qty as 100 and time as 1 min).   Call this reference operation set in any routings that uses this line.
If you do this,  you don't need additional field in work center and so don't get confused  with it.
    cheers

  • Activity Type Changes in Work Center

    Hi Experts,
We now want to change the activity type in a work center, and hope all the routings that have the work center being changed automatically. Currently, the existing routings can not be changed automatically. Is there a way to have all the routings changed as well?
    Best Regards,
    Helen

    Hi,
In Costing tab next to the activity you should find a check box for Reference Indicator. If this is ticked, then the changes done in work center will be automatically read into routings.
If it is not, then you will have to manually change in routings. For individual, you can use CA02, for mass work with CEWB, working area as SAP_OPERATION

  • Work Center Mapping

    Hi Guru's,
Need help in mapping the work centers in routings,
There are 2 operations for the material, but there are 5 machines for operation 1 and 6 machines for operation2
they do not know on which machine they are going to run production, please guide how can I define the routings.
    Thanks
    Satya

    Hi
You can map this scenario like this.
Create the work center which you going to use in operation 1which has 5 machines, while creating the work center double click on the machine Capacity category then top menu path Select Go to --> Individual capacities. Here you can assign the 5 machines as individual capacities. The same way you can create for operation 2 also.
Once you complete this after creation of production order go to CM27 t .code to do the capacity planning and split/allocating the work to the individual capacities. So that you can select the machine which you want select in that way.
I think this will help for you.
    Prerequisites for this scenario.
    1. Create the individual capacities using CR11 or if the PM module implemented in your project get the capacity no from them and assign in work center.
    2. While running MRP use lead time scheduling for capacity planning.
    Thanks

  • Same order start date for 4 FG in same work center

    Hi All,
I have four different Finished goods all have same lead time and same requirement date in same work center, I didn't have capacity planning so all FG have same start date in same work center after MRP run, how it is practically possible on the shopfloor.
    Is there any solution available.
    Sekhar

The fact of running MRP (with or without Lead time scheduling) has nothing to do with the leveling of capacity. Lets consider both cases :
    Indicator "1" :
    - No capacity load is determined
    - Basic Dates from material master calculated to cover the requirements.
    Indicator "2" :
    - Capacity Loads are calculated.
    - Dates coming from recipes or routings calculated to fulfill the material requirements.
    - Overload displayed in CM01
What you need is to run Capacity Leveling (CM25, CM29 ), dispatching the orders to the work center in a feasible date. But this step is never included in MRP run.
