    Hi Shahukaru,
Is "Sending email" action configured to send mail to a user filed(e.g. item Creator, or a custom user or group type column value)?
Would you mind to share the PowerShell code you used to trigger the workflow for reproducing the issue?
Have you tried to run PowerShell code with another account?
Is there any related useful ULS for helping toubleshoot the issue?

    Hi Zeeshan,
I have found a hotfix against the same error messages, though it applies to Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008, I am not sure if it will work on your machine.
Please refer to this KB article below:

  • Workflow not triggering when changing Item-level Permissions in Sharepoint 2013 list

    Scenario:
We have a custom list in Sharepoint 2013 that we use for Case Management. We have a workflow that triggers on a created item generated from an email. The user then gets a reply with a link to his own case.
I want the users only to be able to see their own cases and no one elses.  When I change this under
Advanced Settings under List Settings and
Item-level Permissions and set them to Read items that were created by the user
and Create items and edit items that were created by the user
    the workflow doesn´t trigger.
How can I resolve this? I've tried every possible out-of-the-box permissions but with no result. Help!
    Thanks in advance!
    // Browncreek

When you're testing , remember you cant trigger declarative workflow from the System Account - you need a general user account for auto-trigger workflows.  Good luck!

Hi, I have the same problem. Except that I am not using an email to create a new item. The item is created by members of a SharePoint group that have Contribute access to the list. When use the same settings i.e.
Read items that were created by the user and Create items and edit items that were created by the user,
the workflow does not trigger. If I set it back to Real all items and Create
and Edit all items, it triggers the workflow.
Please help me resolve as I have rolled this out to pilot users and am having this trouble.
    Thanks,

  • Workflow sends the same email twice

I created in Sharepoint Designer a workflow to send an email when a new item is created, but i recieve the same mail twice at the same time. Can somebody help me?
    workflow:
    email Lukas Kuypers
then add 30 days to today (save in variable datum)
    then pause to variable datum
    then delete current item
    then stop workflow

    Hi,
Per my understanding, a custom SharePoint Designer workflow send an email twice when there is only one send email action in it.
A possible reason is that the workflow has been triggered twice. Sometimes, due to the performance issue of the SharePoint Server, even after a workflow instance is
finished, the item submitting is still during processing which triggers another workflow instance and send the second email again.
As a workaround, you can add one step at the end of your workflow to pause the workflow for a few minutes for a test.

  • Group Policy - Computer preference - Schedule task creation

    Hello,
We are getting error while applying schedule task creation GPO (from Windows 2012) to system windows 2008 R2.
Group Policy object did not apply because it failed with error code '0x80041316 The task XML contains an unexpected node.' This error was suppressed.
As recommended in many threads, we have made the settings to run the schedule task with user which is "NT Authority\System" (selected user manully from Damain -> Building group -> System).  After changing, we observe that task is getting
created but we keep on getting warning messages in event viewer. In GPO ->  schedule task -> setting is to "update" schedule task (not create or replace).

  • Avoid email on task assignment

I do NOT want an email to be sent when a task is created and assigned. Is it possible to do so from SPD using 2013 WFM?

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to avoid email on task assignment
It is impossible to prevent sending email on task assignment.
By design in SharePoint, when you create a task in the workflow, it wll send an email to the Assigned To.

  • Workflow getting triggered many times

    Hi all ,
I m working on Travel management workflows. I have set the triggering event as BUS2089->Created . But Whenever I m saving a travel request , it is triggering the workflow which is not desired .
How can this be rectified ???
    Thanks ,
    Sonu.

    See,
    I analysed the problem earlier.
I switched on the EVENT TRACE and ran one TRIP CREATION cycle. I can find that BUS2089 - REQUESTCREATED event is triggered. Well, as per our scenario, I changed that Created Trip, and I can still find the BUS2089 - REQUESTCREATED event even for this action also.
And If I am not wrong this workflow gets triggered for BUS2089 - REQUESTCREATED event(refer your Trip WF Basic Data-Start Events).
So, to avoid this problem, I have used a USER EXIT for TRIP to trigger my WF manually.
Please refer the enhancement <b>FITR0003</b> for the TRIP Userexit.
I hope this should clear your problem as myn.

  • Workflow to send an email any time assigned to has changed

I have a task library where it is common for the assigned to column to be changed and i just want to be able to send an email to the assigned to anytime it changes. How can i accomplish this with eiter OOTB or designer?

    Hi Kyle,
You will need 2 workflows, for this to achieve, on tasks list.
    On item Created event only(WF1)
    On item Updated event only(WF2)
At first create a list called “Task Tracking” with two columns (1.Title
and  2. Assigned To  Field )
In WF1 just create an item in a list (Task Tracking) where
    Title:                              current item
     (tasks)  ->  ID
Assigned To Field :     current item
     (tasks) -> Assigned to
This stores task ID and person’s name to whom a task is assigned.
In WF2 insert if condition (any value equals value)
IF current item (tasks) -> assigned to not equals (task tracking -> Assigned To Field
where title (task tracking) = current item (tasks) -> ID )
    Then send an email
Then Update item in task tracking (Assigned To Field = current item (tasks) -> Assigned To
where  title (task tracking)  = current item(tasks) -> ID ).
Note: This step will store the new value of a user to whom the task is reassigned in “task tracking” list.
    Then Stop the workflow
    Else
    Stop the workflow
Hope this helps. If you have any doubts please post them.
    Regards,
    Raviraj

  • Workflows not triggered when documents are created in Doc Set via Content Organizer

    The following is my scenario:
A document set (containing several documents) is created in Library A on Site A
Using Send To, the Document Set is sent to the Drop Off Library on Site B (a different Site Collection)
A Content Organizer rule then moves the Document Set and its documents to destination Library B
In Library B I have defined a workflow (using Visual Studio 2012) that is triggered when new item is create
When the Document Set arrives in Library B from the Drop Off library (i.e. when the Content Organizer moves the Doc Set to Library B), the workflow is triggered (and executes) on the Document Set, but it is NOT triggered on the documents within the Document
Set.   How can I get the workflow to trigger on the documents within the set when they are created via the Content Organizer rule?
The interesting thing is that if I manually add another document to the Document Set in Library B, the workflow is triggered on that document.  It just does not trigger when the documents are created via the Content Organizer.

    Hi,
In edit Content Organizer rule page, I see there is an option as Automatically create a folder for each unique value of a property:
However, unlike the drop down used in the property based filters above, this drop down *only* contains properties that are required by your content type.
This is done to prevent adding folders that have no values for a property.
If you need to put similar documents to the same folder, you could consider making use of this feature.

  • Workitem button is not comming in swel though the workflow gets triggered

    Dear All,
I have copied the std wf WS20000075 and doing customization for po release as per my clients requirement. Once PO is being created in ME21N i am able to see the event trace in SWEL , but its showing an error , " Import container contains errors (are any obligatory elements missing? " .and no workitem button is comming in SWEL so that i am not able to see the workflow log .
so that though the workflow gets triggered , i am not able to trace it .
I have gone through the solutions given in sdn , but i didn't get any solution for my issue.
Hope to get a positive solution for this soon.
    Thanks

This is error in ECC 6.0 for BUS2012.
For the time being I am using solution which I have given in this thread but rigid solution is to raise an OSS note.
I myself will raise an OSS but before would like to debug and find out what it is expecting exactly so i said use SWUE to find what went wrong.
    Cheers
    Jai
I am having the same error, it goes into error for ECC6.0 version. I have not got chance to see why it is happening?
any way for the time being you can do this : go to SWE2 and for given business object and receiver type, change the settings of "Behaviour upon error feedback" from "default" to "do not change linkage" so every time atleast event will trigger and so workflow, yeah ofcourse event will be queued in SWEAD. So final solution is an OSS
    NOTE:
Check this thread, Glauco has given OSS note 797775

  • Can workflows be triggered by Web Service updates?

    Hi,
From our testing it appears that the workflows are not triggered by updates via the web services. In particular we have a workflows as follows:
Workflow Name: Opportunity Contact Role Delete
    Record Type: Opportunity Contact Role
Trigger Event: When record is deleted
Action Name: Opportunity Contact Role Deleted
    Action Type: Integration Event.
The workflow is triggered correctly when we manually delete an Opportunity Contact Role via the CRM on Demand Opportunities details page, but is not triggered when we delete an Opportunity Contact Role via the Web Services. can anyone confirm this?
    Thanks
    John

    Hi !
I can tell that WebServices are triggering workflows. I have many workflow that trigger when a new SR is created and the action is to assign a book of business. And today we have webservices creating SR and the books are correctly assigned by the workflows.
Furthermore, you have a function you can use in the workflow condition which allows you to exclude the WebServices manipulation, in order to not trigger the WF if it's by webservices. So I think that if such a function exists, it means that in standard, the workflows are triggered by webservices actions.
Hope this will help, feel free to ask more !
