Workflow issues : - Approval of carts

Shopping carts being raised and is being approved by user and by another approver.
Rather then going any further this is just bouncing back and forth between the user and the approver.
Any ideas?

Please try this ->
1) Check the conditions defined in that activated workflow (Txn: SWB_PROCUREMENT). Looks like the conditions defined here do not match with shopping cart data and hence SC could not find a workflow to be triggered.
Suggest you to just give a condition like (&TotalValue& >=0) which covers all shopping carts.
2) You may have only one start condition defined, but there is maybe an active workflow for the SC without start condition. Use transaction SWU0 to simulate the event "created" of object bus2121 and check there is only one workflow started. If you use only one condition, make an easier one like total value >= 0. Then refresh buffer with swu_obuf (not sure it is mandatory but safe).
3) Also check the event linkages in txn SWE2 and SWETYPV
4) The workflow without approval is defined in your start condition, so you should have the comment "start depends on a function module" or something like that. (I don't have any system now to check the message).
The one with red dots: you shouldn't worry about this, probably message is activation link not active.
The two other one (one and 2 steps), not sure if your error stands there, but to be sure check that activation link is not active (you can do this through customizing or with transaction pftc_chg).

Workflow Issue on Shopping Cart Approval

Hi Workflow Experts!
I have an SRM scenario where an Approval Work Item (the SC item has no defined approver set for it) is sent to all of the Approvers listed in the table ZBPT_WFL_LIA_DEF rather than sending it to the Workflow Administrator.
The Workflow task has been assigned as a General task and is also assigned to approvers (users).
I added an entry into the table with a criterion named as ( * ) for bus2121 and assigned an approver named wfl_admin. If the item has no set approver, it is interpreted as an item for ( * ) and the approver would be the workflow administrator. ( * ) corresponds to the field ( OTHERS ).
Please guide me on what to do. (--,)

Instead of using * use a Generic value like "ABC" or a number that is used when no table entries match. Keep an entry with a GEneric Value in the table and maintain Wflow Aministrator as the agent for this Generic value. Please change it accordingly in code.

Troubleshooting Approval workflow issues

We are getting this message from time to time and are unsure how to troubleshoot it.
It seems as though something is changing the document, what is the best way to figure out what?
Approval on DOCUMENT NAME has ended because the item that the task process is running on was changed.

2. Look in the Workflow History list, eg "http://sp2013/Lists/Workflow History". Do you find any errors in there?
3. Is the user account starting the workflow correctly synchronized in the user profile database?
4. Is the user account starting the workflow different from the Worflow Manager setup account? (more info at

5. Are the User Profile Service and App Management Service started? See the green frames in the screenshot below, taken from Central Administration \ Manage Services on Server.

Problem with custom sharepoint designer approval workflow - check box: 'Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item' is greyed out

I wanted to create a simple approval workflow. Hence I opted to start from scratch rather than copy the OOTB approval WF. Using SharePoint Designer (not Visual studio) I created a reusable workflow and have added the built in 'Start approval process' action.
It's saved and published globally.
Everything works fine except that when associating the WF with a list the 'Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item' check box is disabled.
Major and minor versioning is enabled for the library.
What am I missing here? Or do I have to start from the OOTB approval WF to get this to work?

Again - new ideas pop up right after defining the issue as a problem. :-) Problem solved!
I solved this by creating a new workflow from the original publishing approval workflow (copy and replace), but instead of tweaking the already defined approval process (WF action) I deleted it, then deleted all initiation form and local variables,
and then added the 'Start approval process' action again. This re-installs all the necessary local variables without any initiation form involvement, which is just what I want.
From here I can tweak the workflow to make it more user friendly, much like
described by Bobby Chiang in his great blog.
Remember to add action Set Workflow Variable 'EnableContentApproval' to Yes right before the Start Approval Process action, else the document's status won't be set to 'Approved' or 'Rejected' as an output of the workflow.

Despite turning on the require content approval for submitted items in the version setting. Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version of an item is still disabled in the workflow settings.
Anyone one know how to enable this option.

I tried to copy and modify the Globally Reusable Workflow->Approval-SharePoint 2010 but the problem
that I am facing is, I cant seems to find the Assign a task in the Actions list and also when I am setting the approver variable to a value, I am missing a column name( how can I get a column which is used in a list?).
But “Start this workflow to approve publishing a major version” is enabled now using this workflow
but saying that I am unable to complete the workflow due to the action and column missing.
Previously the work flow that I created was for a specific list.
Is there any work around to this issue?

SRM Fiori showing blank My SHopping Cart and error in Approve Shopping Cart

We are implementing SAPUI5 MyShoppingCart Services embedded deployment with:
-ehp 3 for sap srm 7.0 sp07
-netweaver 7.4 sp07
-gateway 2.0
we implemented three apps - Tracking SC, Approve and My SC
we're getting good display in Tracking SC,
however, we have blank screen for both My Shopping Cart and Approve SC (even though there are items for approval in SRM)

is there a table in backend SRM that will verify the products that should be diplayed in My SC screen?
we only have product master data imported as of now using tcode /SRMNXP/CAT01.
should there be buttons already available in the My SC screen even if there's no available products?
Also what configs could be missing for Approve app?

Is anybody able to resolve this problem? We are having similar issues where nothing is displayed on My Shopping Cart, Track Shopping Cart and Approve Shopping Cart. We have been struggling for more than a week now. If you were able to solve then problem could you please share with us-
1. Are there any backend settings that need to be done?
2. We do not have any external catalog hence we have not installed MDM or TREX. We would like to just search our internal Material/Services Master catalog in the shopping cart. Are there any special settings to achieve this.
3. We are not even able to see any navigation tabs on UI5 screens. For the basic shopping cart to display are there any settings anywhere or any notes to be installed?

MDG - S Workflow issue

Hi,
I have configured the MDG for Supplier where I am using the standard workflow template for Supplier Create - WS53100044.
I have a couple of questions here where I need your expert help.
1.I create a CR, it goes for approval. When I run validation it starts asynchronously. Any idea why this is happening? Though there are no validation errors.
2. I can also approve the CR. If I have Company Code and Purchasing Org data in it then it needs processing but the workflow log says 'No Processor assigned'.
3. If I do not have these information fed in the CR, the workflow gets approved and the next step is 'Decision on Process Contact person'. Here it looks for a reference BP. I do not get the list of BPs to select from. Please advise what is missing.

Hello Jayati
your validation will always start Asynchronously as it is native feature within MDG. So no issues about it. The good part is you are not getting any validation error.
Since you using standard workflow template, try using other MDG workflow for the Processor assignment. Check the step number under "Define Workflow Step Numbers" step and then check if the correct processor is assigned there. More details can be found if you see the workflow log of your change request.
Regarding the BP issue, try completing the configurations suggested in MDGIMG under Master Data Governance for Supplier --> Set up Business Partner.

What is your business scenario, you can trigger the workflow again when you change the shopping cart once it is created.
This can be:
1) When users create a shop, hold and then on a later date they want to change the shop and complete the action.
2) When the shopping cart is created always the employees need to have the change functionality till the approval takes place for that particular shopping cart.
This can be achieved by using the different parameters in the BBP_WFL_SECURITY in the Personalization tab in the SU01 , Personalization Object Key and the authorization level 0,1,2,3,4

Page not found or not available on UWL - Approve Shopping Cart

Hi All,
I am facing an issue with UWL where if I access the approve shopping cart work Item I get the Page not found or not available error in the pop up screen. I have done the standard configuration in UWL Administration under System Configurations for the SRM system which is working fine since I'm getting the proper workitems in UWL. Also the required SRM Business Packages are installed on Portal. Our portal version is SAP EP7.0 SP18 and the SRM business patch version is BP_SRM 7.0.9.0.
I have tried doing configurations in the SWFVISU transaction but it did not work. We have another portal for SRM and the UWL configurations work fine there without the SWFVISU configuration.
Is there some other settings I am missing here?
Please guide me.

You were right. This log was coming because the PI server was down and our portal sld was accessing the PI sld somehow. Now that it is up I don't see this error. Instead I'm getting the following error now in th log:

I tried the SWFVISU setting but no luck. Also the XML file has the system alias in it as you have specified.

Workflow Issue for transaction IMA11

HI All,
I am replacing standard WF copying standard one, and decativated standard one and so that new workflow should only be triggered.
Issue is, In SPRO goto below path:
-Invetset management-Appropriation Requests-Approval-Activate Event-Linkage for Workflow Task
There is a setting which shows standard workflow and actiavte button which make sure that if this is activated. then only workflow approval process should be run and in transaction IMa11 approval button shld be greyed out.
But in my case I am not able to config my new WF No. there and as i had decatiavted older workflow so In SPRO its showing deactivated status and making approval button active and because of that approval button is becaming active and now user able to approve request from IMA11 and beside this, workflow is also running for approval process.
so process would at a time either workflow shld approve or tarsnsaction.
Now I want to know how i will config new workflow number in SPRO by replacing older WF No.

Workflow issue after upgrade to ECC 6.0

we are facing an workflow issue and thought if someone has faced similar issue and could help us.
We've an approval workflow for purchase requisitions through release strategies. For some steps, if the approver is 'WF-BATCH' user, we are executing that step using a program. This program first set the workitem to completed status( this part is working), then it will close the purchase requisition to release status for a particular release code( this part is working) and then we are triggering the 'RELEASE' event for the business object providing the Object key which should take it to the next step( THIS IS NOT WORKING). The business object is custom. This was working perfectly in 4.7 version of SAP but this logic is not working in ECC6.0. we are using SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT to trigger the event. But the workflow doesn't move on to next step.
Have anyone of you have any idea as why this might be happening. Any information on this would be of great help.
This is happening in ECC 6.0. USED TO WORK IN EARLIER VERSION.

Is WF-BATCH having proper auth. ?
Or, if you are using the FM SAP_WAPI_CREATE_EVENT in some program and is scheduled as a batch job, then that user under which this batch job is runnign should have proper auth. to raise the event. Please check those.
Also, what the error (if any) says in SWEL ?

Workflow issue-Agent not maintained

Hi All,
I have a workflow issue. For a PR, the workflow is throwing up the error as :
"Agent not maintained for plant XXXX planner group XXXX release code.
Please maintain an agent for the above key in the Agent AssignmentTable,and forward the workitem with text "Release requisition XYZ" in your Workflow inbox to an appropriate Approver."

Check 'Agent Assignment' in not green..
Then push the button 'Agent.Assign for TASK' in front of 'Agent Assignment'.
Next, You can go the maintain screen.
Push 'F8' or 'Attributes...' and check 'General Task'.

Approved shopping carts not displayed in shopping cart status report

Hi Gurus
we are facing an issue in shopping cart status report. When the approver selects 'Approved by me' in shopping carts status report system is not showing any list. There are number shopping carts approved by the user . Other selection like selection period, status , completed indicator were selected properly. But if the approver selects 'Rejected by me' the system is showing all the shopping carts approved, rejected, and awaiting approval related to the approver.
This is happning with one user only. We had checked user authorization and parameters and every thing is fine . Aslo compared the same with other users for whom this report is working fine . We are in SRM 5.5 extended caassic senario.
Any suggestions/solutions on this

In olden days of SRM , we forcily assign account assignment for PR which do not have accounting data in the PR to create a successful SC in SRM and remove the account assignment while creating a PO in the backend.
but since your in SRM 7.0
and also you made ensure that your PR has account assignment but it is not sitting in the cockpit.
and your shopping card trying to create a PO and failed right?
since it has incomplete data , how PO is creating. How system can create a PO without vendor.

One Step Workflow Activation for Shopping cart in SRM 7.0

Dear Experts,
On working to EXtended Classic Scenario, I need to configure one step approval for shopping cart in SRM 7.0.
Currently it is providing me Auto Approval by default and based on it PO is being created. I need one-level manager approval shopping cart.
I am working in Demo System of Extended Classic Scenario, I need only one step approval SC without any condition.
Kindly tell me the configuration steps in SRM and please tell me one more thing is there any need of BADI or other coding for one-step approval?

Purchase order workflow issue

Hi All,
A PO is created and rejected by a user in user decision step.The workflow will end.If the PO is changed(amount) again,the release strategy is triggered for the same user.But the workflow is not triggering.If the release strategy is for a different user,its triggering the workflow.I have used a fork inside which 1 parallel branch contains a wait for significantly changed event & another branch contains the user decision step,po release step & rejection reason scenario.

It seem problem of BADI (program written for creation of purchase order based on sales order)
Take help of ABPer so he/she can solve this issue
