Workflow  - Schedule Manager problem

Hi,
I have configured a flow definition task in Schedule Manager (SAP 4.7, IDES system). After the immediately execution I got a very strange dump:
Syntax error in program "CL_SWF_RUN_WIM_LOCAL==========CP
The following syntax error occurred in the program
CL_SWF_RUN_WIM_LOCAL==========CP :
"You can only define attributes in the PUBLIC, PROTECTED or PRIVATE sec"
Error in ABAP application program.
The current ABAP program "CL_SWF_RUN_WIM_FACTORY========CP" had to be
terminated because one of the statements could not be executed.
This is probably due to an error in the ABAP program.
How can I manage the workflow integration? As I see this is not a SCMA problem, maybe this is a workflow setting problem!?
Any help in this much appreciated.
Thanks,
Miki

Hi Mikkel,
Thanks your answer. In my view SWU3 is OK:
- Maintain runtime environment is green
- Maintain definition environment is green
- Maintain additional settings and services is green
- Classify tasks as general is green
Have you got any other idea? Unfortunately, I tried this flow definition in an other SAP 4.7 IDES sandbox system, but I got this dump again.
Kind regards,
Miklos

  • IPhoto 08 and Photoshop - suggestions on workflow and managing PSD files

    Hi Everyone,
I'm a long-time Photoshop user, and a recent convert to Mac (BTW - I love my new Mac), therefore I am also new to iPhoto 08. I must say that I actually enjoy how iPhoto manages my pictures, as it is not all that different from how I've been managing my pics manually for years (by year, by event, etc.). I've read the various discussion topics on how to set up and use Photoshop as an external editor from iPhoto, and have not had any problems up to now.
I'm now looking for suggestions on workflow and managing my PSD files. I apologize if this is a little long, but I want to make sure I explain the problem clearly. Here's the scenario:
    - From iPhoto, I choose to edit an existing JPEG file in the external editor, Photoshop.
    - I perform my edits (including advanced edits with layers etc.)
    - I do both a "Save As..." and a "Save". That way, I "Save" the flattened JPEG back to my iPhoto library properly, and "Save As..." a PSD file in case I want to do further edits on the image later (days, weeks, months later).
I'm looking for suggestions on where to put my PSDs. For now, I am saving the PSD to my desktop (using max compatibility), and then importing the PSD into my iPhoto library (into the same Event as the original JPEG). However, this leaves me with 2 copies of the same picture: 1 JPEG, and 1 PSD.
The problem is, I now want to go back and do more tweaks on the PSD, the end result of which will make the JPEG version out-of-date. I can either
    1) Open both the PSD and JPEG versions at the same time, tweak the PSD, then copy and paste the flattened layers on top of the JPEG version and "Save"
    2) Open only the PSD, tweak, and save a copy as a JPEG onto my desktop and re-import into iPhoto.
Although a little tedious, both options seem to work. Are there any other options? What do you suggest? I'm curious to see how others manage this.

I don't have a solution for you (sorry) but I'd like to comment because I'm in a similar boat. However instead of saving PSD files to the desktop, I've been advised to save these to TIFF format in Photoshop by a professioal photographer friend of mine (I think he feels its a more universal file format than PSD for archival purposes). The downside is the files are huge.
I imported high resolution jpegs into iPhoto. I then use Photoshop to edit and save the flattened jpeg version back to iPhoto (thankfully, keywords are preserved this way). I recently realized that I need to save a copy of the edited file in a lossless format like TIFF or PSD. Unfortunately when I save the file to TIFF and import it back into iPhoto, keywords are lost. This is a drag.
What I am trying to figure out is how I can retain my keyword info in the edited archival version. Any tips?
I'm beginning to question whether I should import my photos in to Photoshop (or PS Bridge) first, save the original for archival purposes, do the majority of editing and save a TIFF/PSD file and then import this file into iPhoto for keywording, further editing, downsizing, etc.

    Hi
Can any one send me the Schedule Manager config settings.
    Reregards
    cheers

    Hi Glauco
It's a bit difficult to explain in words, but simple once you get the hang of it.
If you take a look at a dialog workflow task, you will see one tab labeled "Latest End".  In this tab you can schedule the task to automatically send a message to someone when it has not been completed after a certain amount of time (the deadline).  However, the current agent keeps the work item even if the deadline has passed.  This is called simple deadline monitoring.
For extended deadline monitoring, you can not only schedule a message, but prompt the workflow to take action.  I don't know exactly how to configure it by hand, but you can find a wizard for creating the extended steps in the Workflow Builder.  The wizard can be found under the Workflow Wizards section of SWDD, on the lower-left hand side of the screen.  You can select this tab the same way you change from viewing the workflow containers to "Step Types that can be inserted" tab.
I hope I was a bit clearer this time.
    Regards.

  • Schedule Manager (add Tcode to Flow Definition step)

    Hello together,
I have got a problem with the schedule manager ("scma").
I would like to add the Tcode cja1 (Project-Related Incoming Orders) alternatively the program "SAPLKAZB" to a flow definition step with a variant. But the program "SAPLKAZB" is used for more tcodes than "cja1".
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance!
    Greetings,
    Peter

    Hello,
The Program 'SAPLKAZB' cannot be added to the flow definition step since its  function pool and not an executable program due to which you wont be able to execute it.
So its better the transaction 'CJA1' can be added to flow definition step and no alternative for program with varaint coz it wont work.
    Regards,
    Mansi.

  • Schedule Manager userown Variant SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN

    Hello groupies,
i did create  userown variants of sap1 (Z01) and sap0 (Z00) for schedule manager in spro.

In SOLAR_PROJECT_ADMIN i would like tot create a new tasklist for change request management.
    1. i did link the variant z01 to the project.
    2. I create per button "create tasklist"
    effect:
Now is the problem that the system set an error message like this :"Error in Phasecontroller".
The system creates the Tasklist but no Maint. cycle SDMM.
The same problem exists fact of z01.
I think there is a possibility to link the SDMM; SDMN; SDDV to the tasklist variant, but I dont know where.

  • Schedule Manager selection variables

I want to schedule a job for all 12 months of the year in Schedule Manager. For posting period and fiscal year i am using TVARV variables. The problem am facing is explained in the example below. Today's date assumed to be 08th June, 2006:
Variant with posting period 4 scheduled on 10th June, 2006
After the above i change the TVARV variable of posting period to 5 and schedule on 12th June, 2006
Unfortunately after the above step, the parameter of '4' posting period of the job scheduled on 10th june, 2006 changes to 5. I dont want this to happen. I want the program to run with posting period '4'
Of course i can create a new variant but it would then require 12 variants for 12 mnths of the year
Can someone please help me on the above?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Prabha,
After you have finished maintaining your variant, you would have to click on the "<b>Attributes</b>" button just below the title and maintain the description for your variant. Save this entry and press the back <b>green arrow</b>. Your save button would now be activated and you can save your settings now.
    I hope this helps.
Do not forget to award the point please.

    Jacob

Some componets are online but some are unavailalbe
In workflow component group Workflow Action Agent and Workflow Monitor Agent are online while Workflow Process Batch Manager,Workflow Process Manager,Workflow Recovery Manager component are in Unavailable state.
I made them sutdown one by one and tried to start it but again they went to Unavailable state.

Check the component logs for errors. If that what you find doesn't help you fixing the problem, then increase the log
    levels and restart the components.

  • Job Schedule Management

    Hi,
We recently upgraded our Sol Man system to EHP1 and we are in the process of Job Shedule Management. We imported few jobs from managed system and while monitoring ,getting error Business Proccess not created.
Could any one please tell me one thing, shall we need to setup Business Process Monitoring prior to setup Job Schedule Management? Please explain high level end to end Job Schedule Management steps.
    Thanks & Regards
    Srinivas.

    Hi Srinivas,
please have a llok under https://service.sap.com/jsm to find further links to important SAP notes that explain a lot. You can also find iTutors about JSM under https://service.sap.com/rkt-solman.
Generally speaking BPMon is NO prerequisite for JSM. But as you probably saw during the import you have to assign your documented job either to a logical component (esp. meaningful for system related jobs like housekeeoing spool or dumps) or you assign to  a business process step. An assignment to a logical component is a minimum requirement!
For a business process step assignment you need to maintain processes either in the project part or in the solution directory of SAP Solution Manager.
An active BPMon is only needed if you want to monitor background jobs and want to make use of the integration between JSM and BPMon.
You should also look for Blog and Forum entries of Martin Lauer in order to get further JSM insights.
By the way: If you  should encounter some functional problems you can open an OSS message on SV-SMG-PSM.
    Best Regards

  • Scheduling manager greyed out

I want to schedule workbooks in discoverer Desktop v. 9.0.4.00.00, but when I want to chose this option through File/manage workbooks/ the acces to scheduling manager is greyed out. How do I fix this problem?
    Thx

Have you been granted the required privileges in Discoverer Admin?
I've found that although a user/responsibility has been granted privileges to schedule workbooks, the Scheduling Manager option is still unavailable because the scheduling options have not been configured.
    Tools -> Privileges
    1. Ensure that the user/responsibility has "Schedule Workbooks" privilege in Discoverer Administration in the "Privileges" tab
    2. On the "Scheduled Workbooks" tab, ensure that there is a user selected in the "Select user to own result tables..." LOV.
    Hope this helps.

  • Scheduling Manager

    Hi All,
We run Discoverer using a database, which is a clone of our live database. Our clone is refreshed every night and is populated with the data from the live database.
We wish to give our users the ability to schedule their reports and have been testing the scheduling manager recently. When we schedule a report to run for today then it will run fine and we can view the results.
However, when we schedule a report to run overnight, then it doesn't run and we get an ORA-00942 error. Similarly, when we try to view the results of a report that was run yesterday we get the same error message. I think we have worked out the problem where we cannot view yesterday's scheduled report but does anyone have any idea why reports scheduled for the following day are not running?
    Thanks
    John

    Hi Puppethead,
    Thanks for the reply.
When we schedule reports to run today then a table will be created and we can see the report. If we then come in the next day then we can't open the report as the table that was created has been lost during the cloning process. However, this isn't too much of a problem as we can get our ICT partners to amend their cloning process to backup the tables that are created the previous day.
The problem really lies in the reports that are scheduled for the following day as no tables are being created and so we can't open the report. We are not sure if the tables aren't being created because when we schedule the report it is looking at our EUL as it is at that point in time and then when it actually comes to run the report, it is looking at a new clone.
We haven't yet allowed our users to schedule any reports as we have been testing the functionality to see if it is feasible to give it to them but our cloning process kicks off at 01:00 and completes between 07:30 and 08:00. As part of our testing we having been scheduling reports for during the normal working day, at 18:00 and at 08:15 the following morning.

  • How to change the worklist in schedule manager in production system

we are using schedule manager (SCMA) to arrange the daily process in SAP system. but we have to config the worklist and transport it to the production system every time cause in production system if we press edit worklist there would be a message called " TK430 The system administrator has set your logon client to the 'not modifiable' status.Client-specific objects can not be changed in this client."
Is there any way that I can directly change the worklist in production system?
