Workflow Termination Notification Question

I have a question regarding termination notification workflow. I am trying to create termination notifications for a server and I have to verify both worklist and email notification.
I have checked the Set Up HRMS > Common Definitions > Self Service->Workflow Configuration and Personnel administrator role is assigned for Terminate Employee workflow. Also, in PeopleTools > Security > Roles & Permissions I have an user assigned to this role.
In Worklist->Worklist, I only see the termination action created through Manager Self Service->Job and Personal Information->Terminate Employee and not the one using Workflow Administration->Job Information->Job Data. Also, no email is received.
Could you give me a hint regarding this problem?

Does anyone out there at Microsoft have accurate answers to these questions?
Thanks!EM

  • EPM Workflow Email Notifications

I have inherited an EPM implementation that has EPM Workflow Email Notifications. The email text is not very informative and I want to customize this text to something more meaningful. I have been told this cannot be done, but find this very hard to believe.
Does anyone know if this can be done? Many thanks, in advance.

    Hi,
I am assuming these email notifications are sent when the project moves between workflow stages, approval etc.? The short answer is: yes, the text of the email notifications can be updated. However, it depends on how your workflows have been built, which
tools have been used  (e.g. SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, 3rd party tool etc.) and the project server version - 2010/2013.
If you are using project server 2013, check if the workflows have been built using SharePoint Designed (open the PWA in SharePoint designer and check the site workflows)
    Hope this helps

  • Workflow in Notification

    Hi,
Can any body help me in getting workflow in notification.can give path also be appreciated.
    thanks
    vardhan

    Hi
Workflow is used to inform the people or departments responsible automatically that a series of tasks must be executed in the following order:
Processing of a newly created maintenance notification (notification status Outstanding)
Processing of a maintenance notification with outstanding tasks (notification status In process)
Completion of a maintenance notification (status of all tasks Completed)
The person(s) or department(s) responsible receive a mail (work item) in their inbox informing them of the tasks to be performed
Creation of notification/changing of status of notification or completion of notification can be taken as an event to trigger mail to various users/groups for follow up actions. You can consult a workflow consultant/ABAPers to incorporate your logic for workflow as in standard you dont have such flexibility.

  • Workflow Termination

    Hi All,
I developed a Workflow. It has many parallel processes in it which are dynamic. This workflow triggers from a Custom Transaction when the enduser uses "SUBMIT' pushbutton on the screen. On my screen i have SUBMIT & CANCEL Pushbutton. After using SUBMIT Pushbutton workflow triggers. My question is, If the user wants to cancel the Workflow which is still in process, user presses the CANCEL Pusbbutton. But how should i handle it in Workflow, so as to cancel the Process which was started and it might be in progress(Bcoz its has many parallel processes, many user decision's have to be made).
    Thanks,
    Regards,
    Srinivas.

    Hello Srinivas,
According to my knowledge you cannot stop the workflow once it has started. That too in your case it is 'N' parallen workflows are running.
But you handle it in another way such that workflow will only when the user presses the SUBMIT button or else back to the screen when user presses CANCEL button.

  • Is there a way to customize the MDM Workflow email notification content?

I am looking for a way to customize the MDM Workflow email / notification  content. For example, I might want to put the Supplier ID(s) of the impacted supplier records (be it Update, Insert & Delete) into the email body or put an URL into the email body.
    Can MDM Workflow do this?
    Is there any workaround?
    Thanks

    Hi,
What you can do is add a boolean field to the repository, for instance "Send Mail". You can use an assignment in the Workflows to set this field to true. Next, define an updatelistener and pick up the change to this field. If the value is "true", send out an email. Afterwards, let the listener change the value back to "false".
    Good luck,
    Gerwin

  • Workflow and notification

    Hi Experts!!
Please guide how can MDM workflow send notification to user who is outside the MDM system.
In my scenario, user logs to one system for material number generation and mdm workflow starts only when data is imported by SAP MDM.On sucessful completion or not the end user needs to be informed, who is outside MDM workflow.
    How can i achieve this?
    Thanks

    Hello rav343
From MDM WF you can send e-mail.
    For that :
    1) Some pop/smtp server should be installed in your system and running
    2) in mds.ini for your repository you should set parameter "Mail Server="
    3) e-mail receiver should be in mdm users list and parameter "e-mail adress" should contain receiver e-mail
    Your WF  may be next
    start->e-mail->end
In "e-mail"  you should select receiver user from list of users and fill e-mail subject and text
when you launch that WF e-mail will send automatically to selected yoser by e-mail address that you filled in user parameter

  • Content Server: Workflow Reject Notification

When I approve content via content server workflow, email notifications are sent to the person in the next stage of the workflow process. Sergio,
Were you able to figure out why this was happening? I'm experiencing this problem myself. Another problem I'm having is when a step has multiple assignees, e-mails are being sent out to only one of the assignees. Let me know if you know about this one or figured out why rejection notifications were not being sent. Thanks,

  • OIM 11g Approval Workflow Notification questions

    Hello.
I am working with an OIM 11g approval workflow. The workflow will flow from one group to another, and if one user in each group approves it, it is approved. Because I assigned it to groups, the notifications are going to every user in each group.
Is it possible to send a notification to only a single user within a group, instead of everyone? Does auto claim do this?
Is it possible to send a different notification if the ApprovalTask is rejected versus approved?
    Thanks.

If I understand correctly, you want to send the notification only to the user who has approved the request and not to all in the group. You can do it by NOT using the notification tab in the .task but by using EmailNotificationService after the .task in BPEL. There you can read the data from payload on who approved the request and can send the notification only to that user. Same way for rejects. You can configure that.
    1. After your .task completion you can have a decision box which can check the value for 'outcome' and then direct it to appropriate path for appropriate notification.
    or
    2. Based on outcome you can set the template in a variable and then in the notificationservice use that variable.

  • Workflow Termination when IDoc is changed

    Hi all,
For some inbound IDocs (SRCLST and INFREC), a workflow is triggered in case of an error. This works very well, and the extended notifications are triggered as well (mail included).
However, in some cases, an IDoc in error is retreated automatically by a certain job and often, succesfully (data is locked or...). Nonetheless, the workflow item remains in the inbox and can only be closed by executing it and clicking on "End Process". Sometimes this leads to a number of notifications (mail) that are being sent even though the IDoc has already been treated successfully.
Is there any way to trigger the termination of these workflows when the IDoc status is changed? The standard tasks that I am using are TS40007912 (SRCLST) and TS40007911 (INFREC). I am fairly new to workflows, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Aerv.

    Hi Aerv,
    (on the requirement in general)
I think that your requirement (terminate error workitems when Idoc is re-posted successfully) is part of standard:
Workitem termination is implemented by means of terminating events. If you look at 'terminating events' tab of task TS40007912( or TS40007911), you'll see that INPUTFINISHED event is there.
Thus, the workitem should terminate whenever INPUTFINISHED event fires.
    The event fires when
    - a user processed the idoc (see 'Error Handling Process' here Error Handling - ALE Programming Guide - SAP Library) ,
    - the system processed the idoc successfully (RBDMANI2) - your case
    (on your setup)
I suppose, you don't need to add entries in SWE2 to make a terminating event work.
If you have those extra entries now, try deactivating them - probably it will correct the inconsistent behaviour as we see on the screen shot.

  • Workflow services: notification default settings

    Hi,
In the bpel process the email component lets me specify the 'From Account'
which refers to some entry in the ns_emails.xml. So in my particular case
every bpel process gets it's own 'From Account', which the email components
    use.
Some processes use Human Tasks. Notifications triggered by Human Tasks
always use the 'Default' entry in ns_emails.xml. How would I change that
    behavior?
Furthermore I would like to get just some plain text and a link
as notification-email-body instead of getting two attatchments
'Message' and 'Content'. None of my users would accept that.
    Kind regards,
    Martin

    Hi,
I think the 'Default' email account is used by BPEL system.
For example, you use notification in HumanTask to send email to the approver, then the 'Default' will send email to the approver's email account (set in users-properties.xml).
And please check out following posts for your other question:

Problem in sending Email notification from BPEL

  • Email Remincer, notification question.

Currently, when a request is entered it shows the user's email who entered the request.  Also, when a request is forwarded from one stage to the next it shows that the email is forwarded from the aprover fo the previous stage.
Can I set it so all emails generated by CUP come from one email address?
    Thanks,

    Dear Ryan,
On the Configuration tab, navigate to Workflow > SMTP Server.
    1. Under "Enter Email Notification Sender", select the check box next to "System Email ID".
    2. Provide "System Email ID" that you want.
Once you configure this. All e-mails sent out of CUP will have "System Email ID" as sender.
    Hope this answers your question.
    Best Regards,
    Sirish Gullapalli.
