Hi to all, there is my question.
Do i have the possibility/a way to tell to teststand to load all steps and then wait for the answers? I have to work (using TC/IP) with a PPc that acts as real executor of the requested steps.

I get from you each Step in TestStand is actually sort of TCP/IP Client/Server that sends a TCP Command to a PPC ( PowerPC?) executor and eventually waits for an answer or timeout. If This is the case seems you are actually Loading and Running each step at the same time thus you'll have to deal with Parallel execution on the TS side and a considerable amount of data that potentially will flood the ethernet.
My suggestion is to carefully design the Client/Server architecture.
I'd use a structure that will enable opening a series of connection in the setup section and closing it in the cleanup. Then I'd build up a custom step type that given the connection and the command will write it. Then it's your choice it the command take always the same time to execute and are supposed to be executed in a sequence the custom step will also wait for the answer. Otherwise you have to figure out wich is the better way to wait for the result.
Please note I may be in my suggestion wrong, I don't have enough info and I can't help you further than this.
Bottom line my final suggestion is.
Take a breath and feed yourself with the following philosophical question.
Given the Hardware Can it be run this fast ?
It has to be sequential or parallel ?
May I send more command in a row and then wait for all the ansewer toghether ?
Will the answer arrive in the same order ? or they'll be messed Up ?
What will happen if one of the anser times out ?
And so on and so on, long before writing a single line of code.
You'll eventyally get out of it with a bunch of specs and schemes that will help you design a robust test framework.

Does iTunes Producer work through a proxy?

I am trying to get iTunes Producer to work through our corporate proxies. I have opened up TCP 33001 and TCP 44001 like the documentation stated. From the proxy servers I am able to connect to these TCP ports as well as the required UDP ports that are listed in the documentation. However, as soon as I try to upload a book in iTunes Producer, it get an error.
Does iTunes Producer work in a corporate environment that uses a proxy? Or is it like APNS that will not work through a proxy?

It seems that your office network is blocking the app. Maybe the old releases used a port not closed by your firewall but in the newer releases it uses another port which it is closed. That maybe explains the reason you cannot connect. You should contact your network administrator.

Only option is upgrading your Mac's OSX, since Apple will not allow iOS to go backwards.

I am not having any trouble with my i-pod which I can continue to connect to the computer to update. However when I get into the listen to the music on the computer I am unable to hear anything. This is also true for Spotify, and my own cd's inserted in the computer and i-player. I have connected an old Sony Discman to my amplifier and it works perfectly, so I know that the problem is not with the amplifier or the lead so it must be the computer audio.
My computer is a COMPAQ CQ 1140UK SLIMLINE DESKTOP PC.
I need to stress that I am a 65 year old non tech user. I use my computer a lot but have no idea how it works!! .
I believe that in my efforts to resolve this issue myself by going into the control panel .....I may have caused even mor problems.
At first, today, I could see that the track was playing, CURSOR MOVING ACROSS THE TRACK LINE, but I was getting no sound....now the tracks don't even seem to be playing at all!!
I remember, afew days ago seeing something flash up on Spotify about how it was going to do something with my i-tunes but it stated that it was nothing to worry about! So I didn't, until today!!
I only used Spotify to locate a track before I purchased it through i-tunes.

It might be worth trying a dxdiag to see if that finds anything amiss, michael.
Go Start > Run. In your Run, type dxdiag and hit enter.
Work through the troubleshooting tabs. Does dxdiag report any problems?

3GS with iOS 4.2.1 update - voicemail no longer working through bluetooth?

Hi Folks.
I've been happily using my iPhone 3GS with my Jeep Patriot's bluetooth/stereo system for months (it's called a Mygig). However, I just upgraded to 4.2.1 and now when I connect to my voicemail the sound doesn't come through the system - the iPhone thinks it is sending the audio to the stereo, but the stereo remains idle. So I have to select one of the audio options (phone/speaker) to hear anything.
If however I make a phone call, or if the phone rings and I answer it, it works fine.
Even if I use voice dialling to call voicemail, that works through the bluetooth, but as soon as it has finished the voice dialling and actually calls voicemail the stereo goes back to being idle again, even though the phone thinks it's still connected.
So at present if I want to connect to my voicemail while driving I have to use the speaker. Only for voicemail. Weird!
I am thinking this is a software update issue, as it worked fine prior to the update, and everything other than calling voicemail works fine through bluetooth.
It's as if the phone isn't talking to the bluetooth properly when it's dialling the voicemail, which is somewhat of a 'hardwired' thing, given it has its own button. I tried tricking it by dialling the actual number instead of using the voicemail button, but the iphone knew it was voicemail...
Any ideas?

Yah, have the same issues since upgrading to ios421. Pretty annoying... I have two cars, and the issue is same with both bluetooth systems. I am able to make and receive calls but cannot listen to my mobile voicemail.

It also make a footnote which states "make sure that your network connection ia active and try again". The above challenge has continued for more that 3 months now. This challenge has hindered me from installing some applications like Facebook Application for iphone, LinkedIn application for iphone and a lot of other applications. I saw your message. Below are the problems:

2. After the above, an alert message comes up which states that A new iphone software version 5.1 is availlable for my iphone. It then states would you like to download it and update your iphone now? With the options buttons as Cancel or Download and Update or Download Only. Whenever I clicked on Download and Update or Download Only, the next message that comes up is that The iphone Software Update Server Could not be Contacted and suggest make sure your network setting are correct and active or try again later.

Assuming he works for a company, the first person to talk to is whoever is in charge of the company's network. Most company networks are firewalled, and usually won't permit access except by authorized users with company-approved VPN software.

Richard, I agree with you 1,000%. I wrote this in a forum a few weeks ago, when a user was complaining about Snow Leopard not supporting iCloud:

I got so angry thinking about this, that I ended up writing an angry note to Apple on their feedback page. After repeating what I just wrote here, I asked them to commit to providing at least the same level of support to Mac users that they do for PC users when it comes to their cross platform products (iPhone, iPad, iCloud, Apple TV, Safari, iTunes, etc.) And, really, is that so much to ask?
I wish I knew how to start a petition requesting that Mac users get comparable treatment as PC users. But then again, shouldn't that go without saying?
Please leave feedback about this revolting double standard on the Apple feedback page. They should be thinking long and hard about why their own customers are treated worse than the customers of their competition.

I disabled my anti-software, iTunes and computer software (microsoft vista) are both up to date, I restarted the computer several times. My usb ports are working properly. I followed the troubleshooting suggestions from apple.

After going through the issues with apple support, they decided the best course of action was to erase the hard drive and do a reinstall. Since I have a recent backup this seemed like a good enough option. They were kind enough to send me a copy of the snow leopard disk to do the install since we couldn't get it to complete through the disk utility. Not sure why, since it says we are fully connected, it just never completed.
Anyway, so now that you have the background here is the new issue. The macbook pro keeps spitting out the disk I'm trying to install from. Disk utility and using the 'Startup Disk' function from the apple menu doesn't read the disk.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this vexing problem?

Please do understand that while you have put together a very coherent list, I try to ensure priority to threads in which multiple customers are focused on a single issue, as we deliver the most benefit to the community in working on those. This forum is primarly a peer to peer discussion forum rather than a Lenovo chat / tech support where we try to solve each and every issue put forth.
Individuals with a long list of issues on a particular machine may find benefit from either contacting technical support and working through their list, or publishing it as you have done and wait for other users of the same system to share their experiences.

No not really. If this is a brand new Macbook Pro take it back for a refund. Apple has a 14 day No Questions Asked return policy for Full refund.
Take it back, get the Full Refund (DO NOT LET THEM TRY TO FIX IT. YOU BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER NOT ONE THAT HAS BEEN WORKED ON OR NEEDS TO BE FIXED) and then decide whether to buy another Macbook Pro or the iMac. Or you could return it, get the Full refund and buy some other brand computer.

I think I got a little ahead of myself explaining my problem, so let me clarify...
Only the one iMac is having the network file deletion problem, but it is included in the network user logon problem. So 4 out of 5 of the iMacs have had or are having logon problems with network users accounts using mobile accounts on the systems. 2 of the 4 I have wiped and started over on and the other 2 have different network accounts being used by the primary system users. The 5th iMac has not caused any problems except I forgot to mention that the USB on it seems flaky.
So we are apparently full of problems.
