  • InDesign CS5 ME - Workspace/Toolbars issue

    hi all
    i bought new computer with win 7 ultimate 64 bit
    and i try to install indesign cs5 middle east (ME) and after i finnish it i get : Window -> Workspace" dropdown there are no available Workspaces to choose from
    The Workspace settings are set to "untitled" and, while you can manually set them back to normal, upon reloading InDesign 5, it has reset and you are back to no toolbars.
    and i dont get :
    For example, Re: InDesign CS5 - Workspace/Toolbars issue.. permissions? Re: InDesign CS5 - Workspace/Toolbars issue.. permissions? Re: InDesign CS5 - Workspace/Toolbars issue.. permissions? .... etc are not there, only the options to "Reset Untitled" and "New Workspace...".
    in my old computer and in my leptop i dont have this problem
    do you have any solution for me.
    thanks
    hanan

    Ok sure,
    When loading up InDesign CS5 (v7.0.2) on either a Dell XPS 720, or a Dell Precision T3400, the toolbars don't appear. The Workspace settings are set to "untitled" and, while you can manually set them back to normal, upon reloading InDesign 5, it has reset and you are back to no toolbars.
    After some troubleshooting, under the "Window -> Workspace" dropdown there are no available Workspaces to choose from. For example, .... etc are not there, only the options to "Reset Untitled" and "New Workspace..."
    It seems as though the program is having trouble loading the Workspace defaults into CS5 ID...
    However, when you run the program as either a local admin or set the compatibility to Windows 2000, it loads up just fine, toolbars/workspaces and all.
    Hope this clarifies the situation, again thanks for your help thus far.

    When Searched in Oracle Support Here is the information that they specified. But This is also not working.
    Service error.
    Internal Error; Service error occurs in IdentityService in method lookupUser.
    Refer to the log file that is configured for oracle.soa.services.identity for more details on this error and contact Oracle Support Services
    at oracle.bpel.services.identity.client.AbstractIdentityServiceClient.lookupUser(AbstractIdentityServiceClient.java:195)Cannot log in to workspace( BPM 11g).
    Fix
    One of the reasons this issue might happen is when the application (in this case the Workspace) was not able to connect to the Identity services.
    And the cause of bug was network configuration issues which prevented connection to IdentityService SOAP endpoint using the configured server hostname.
    So to overcome this issue, set the ServerURL property in the soa-infra config mBean to http://127.0.0.1
    This should resolve the issue.
    An alternative option is to use any other valid server IP address / port.
    In future the bug fix will have log messages which will post warnings in the logs if the host name used in the URL is not resolved.
    How to set the MBean:
    1. Login to the em console
    2. Right click on soa-infra
    3. Goto Administration ->SystemMBean Browser
    4. Goto Application Defined MBeans
    5. Find Oracle.as.soainfra.config ->Expand "Server: <your server name>"
    6. Goto SoaInfraConfig -> click on soa-infra
    7. Find the Property ServerURL, enter value as http://127.0.0.1
    8. Click on Apply

    This is related to the authentication providers you have configured in WebLogic. Check that the providers are configured property for whatever identity store you need to use - integrated WebLogic, OID, AD, etc. - and that they are in the correct order.

  • Workspace - planning issue.

    HI,
    I have issue with logging into workspace and opening a planning application.
    I am able to login into workspace without an issue .
    Before that . I have configured using IIS ( instead of apache ) on port number 80 and with weblogic 45000.
    Now, i am able to open it on both 80 and 45000, and I see the following error in both the cases.
    The errors are :
    1. Invalid or could not find module configuration.
    2. Required application module HyperionPlanning.planning is not configured. Please contact your administrator.
    3. Communication Error
    I have seen the errors in other posts of the forum. but In my case it does not work both on 80 and 45000.
    pls help.

    Hi,
    If you can't access planning through http://<planning machine>/HyperionPlanning/ then IIS set up must not of been successful.
    By default it uses a isapi redirect filter to redirect from IIS to the correct port of say planning.
    It is picked up from \Hyperion\common\appServers\Tomcat\5.0.28\isapi\isapi_redirect-1.2.14.dll
    If you go into IIS management and select properties for your web server, under the ISAPI filters tab you should see the status of the filter.
    It is configured using the property files :- uriworkermap.properties and workers.properties
    Cheers

  • XMonad - workspace order issue

    Hi,
    I'm trying to fix a minor issue/annoyance with my XMonad configuration but could use some help.
    I have 3 monitors connected to the one card.  Two DVI connectors and one HDMI.  Xorg pretty much worked out-the-box, except the screens were logically in the wrong order in relation the their positioning.  When moving the mouse, the order would be as shown below:
    [2] [1*] [3]
    * = denotes the middle monitor should be the primary display (HDMI).
    I fixed that with the below command first.  Then later with /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
    xrandr --output HDMI-0 --auto --primary --output DVI-D-0 --right-of HDMI-0 --output DVI-I-1 --left-of HDMI-0
    That was fine but the XMonad {w,e,r} key bindings were also in the wrong order.  I fixed that with the following in my ~/.xmonad/xmonad.hs configuration.
    [((m .|. mod4Mask, key), screenWorkspace sc >>= flip whenJust (windows . f))
    | (key, sc) <- zip [xK_w, xK_e, xK_r] [1,0,2] -- was [0..]
    , (f, m) <- [(W.view, 0), (W.shift, shiftMask)]
    Now the only issue is that when XMonad starts, it defaults to use the middle monitor (which is correct) but xmobar reports the below.
    [1:web1] (2:web2) (3:games)
    Where the middle monitor is mapped to the [1:web1] workspace.
    What I'm trying to achieve is so that it defaults to:
    (1:web1) [2:web2] (3:games)
    Where the middle monitor is mapped to the [2:web2] workspace.
    I know all this stuff is very fluid in XMonad and so not really an issue......it's just seems a more logical way to start the session.
    Surely this is possible isn't it?!

    You probably mean restart instead of recompile and yes the startupHook runs during every startup (see name and documentation of XConfig). I can't think of an easy way to get around that, but it'll probably be a little less annoying if you always switch to your main screen during startup (to make it independent of the screen you're on at the time you issue the restart command).
    You currently specify the order twice: once for xrandr and once for the keybindings. I found http://xmonad.org/xmonad-docs/xmonad-co … reens.html, which you can use to make the keybindings follow the order specified with xrandr. Then if you reorder the monitors, you only have to adjust the xrandr command. And it gives you viewScreen to use in the startupHook instead of the stuff from CycleWS. Then you get
    import XMonad.Actions.PhysicalScreens
    myStartupHook = setWMName "LG3D" >> viewScreen 1
    (+ the keybindings from the example in the documentation). This also shows that you can combine actions with >> (do-notation could also be used instead).

  • Workspace Configuration Issue

    Hello All,
    Some time back I was trying my hand with migrating Hyperion components from one server to another (lets say A to B). In one instance I copied all the configured repositories as it is from A to B. Then I tried configuring the products at B. I realized it was a big mistake and removed everything from B and did a clean migration with correct steps.
    I realized, that the first configuration of B has goofed up configuration at A because everything was still pointing to A. I was able to fix everything except Workspace at A. Now, everytime I start Workspace service at B, Workspace at A starts showing me different errors when I launch HF reports: userID/pwd not correct; error at token #xxx; a blank screen after report is executed.
    Everything works fine at A as long as the Workspace Agent and Web Application services are stopped at B. None of the other services/components cause any issue.
    I guess I might need to redeploy Workspace at A. I tried re-configuring but it did not work. Can anyone please help me with the steps of re-deploying?
    OR
    Is there any other way to fix the issue?
    Version: 11.1.1.3
    Env: Windows Server
    Thanks!
    Nitin

    Phew...this is turning out to be a nightmare!
    So I dropped the DB and recreated it and then reconfigured. But I guess there was some problem with the deployment. I saw some folders and files missing under the workspace deployed webapp folder.
    Then I uninstalled workspace and re-installed it. This time the deployment went fine but I started facing new problems:
    1) Essbase service was not starting. Was giving this error "Network Error [10048]: Unable to Bind Host Server Socket On Port [1423]" and was stopping. Following another thread on this forum I renamed the ESSBASE.BAK file to .SEC. This issue was fixed.
    2) Cannot register with HSS since it says product already exists.
    3) When I login to workspace, it does not show me HFR and some other admin features. I checked the access is fine. This is happening with all users - none of them can see HFR. I have reconfigured workspace 2-3 times but it is not helping.
    4) I cannot login to HFR Studio. It says you do not have previlige.
    Is it step 1 which screwed up everything else?
    Any word of advise please?!
    Thanks.

  • Workspace login issue

    Hi All,
    Need your help.
    One User cannot login to workspace.Once he has entered the username and password the page is stuck at loading.
    History:
    There are 6 sites for the client. 4 sites are fully functioning and have no problem.
    Management had decided that the remaining 2 sites need to have access to Hyperion Applications.We have suggested the IT support team to give the same access to the ports as of the 4 sites to access Hyperion applications .
    Only two Users-one from each site. Provisioned the Users to the group and cost centers as mentioned by the client.
    1.One user from one site has no problem-can access all applications.
    2.Problem with the other site :*User can login to Hyperion planning applicaiton but cannot login to Workspace--no error msg displayed-stuck at loading the page.*
    Can you please help me in this regard.
    Many Thanks.

  • InDesign CS5 - Workspace/Toolbars issue.. permissions?

    Hi all,
    I have seen this posted around on the internet regarding CS3 (and 4) but havent seen anything re CS5.
    I am in the process of rolling out a new build for the machines in my office, we have about 5 different models (all Dell) scattered amongst about 100 users, strangely enough this issue is only affecting the XPS 720s and the T3400s.
    I have followed all of the advise posted on various forums, (setting permissions to all in regedit, renaming _US to _GB....) however the only fix that seems to work is setting compatibility mode to Windows 2000...
    All machines have CS5 updated to the latest version, InDesign's being 7.0.2.
    Has there been a definitive fix for this?
    I have tested this on a functioning model on Windows 7 as well this afternoon, and it works fine without having to change the compatibility mode.
    I am completely stumped as to why it is only affecting these two models, when all models are running under the same group policy for permissions.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Thank you
    Adam

    Ok sure,
    When loading up InDesign CS5 (v7.0.2) on either a Dell XPS 720, or a Dell Precision T3400, the toolbars don't appear.

  • Workspace Patch Issue

    During the configuration of my workspace I came across a blank screen, and I cannot set the properties to document.
    I tried to configure web server, and the issue still persists. I also tried running a patch 13936087 (Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Work space), but the error I got is stated below in the URL:
    http://i.imgur.com/C1SBq.jpg
    My system specs are: Windows Server 2008 R2, Hyperion 11.1.2.2 with bit size 64.
    Thanks for the help.

    sorry as it is a 11.1.2.2 patch my example should have been

  • Entering Workspace password issue

    After the 10.2 update, a few of my sales force has issues when entering the workspace password and taking up to a minute and even two minutes to log into workspace. Before it was instatanous. I have directed them to wait three days for the device to become fully synced with the server and if that doesn't work, take the battery out. Each person with the problem has done as I instructed when the phone was charged or charging and within 4G signal.
    What else could be the problem?

    There likely is a minimum number of letters for that. I have you tried doing it with 3 or more letters?

    2. On click of the task, open the form associated with the  current
    selected task in browser/jsp.
    So, please tell me what APIs  should I use in my JSP for above mentioned
    functionalities. Please share a  dummy jsp that will do that.
    ISSUE 3:
    When a user logs in the  workspace, then he gets the actions associated
    with the particular tasks  below the form. E.g. approve, submit,
    complete, deny etc.
    But I want these  actions inside my form. Reason for that is that we are
    not using the Flex UI  of workspace. Infact we are creating a simple JSP
    that will render the  form.
    If you can provide some eclipse java project with required jars, a  JSP
    with above functionalities and a PDF form that solve issue number 3  then
    it will be great way to start.

    Background: We are creating a subset of workspace functionalities in a JSP application which will interact with LC Server over web services only without the use of Workspace APIs(which are combination of Flex UI APIs, Flex Domain APIs and Java Task Manager APIs). We want to directly use TaskManager APIs for that.
    ISSUE 1:  We are trying to invoke the Long-lived process from a JSP page
    using web  services but the process in not getting invoked.
    Here is the client JSP code.  Please also refer the attachment which has
    the web service proxy java  files:
    <%@ page import="com.adobe.idp.services.*" %>
    <%@ page  import="javax.xml.ws.Holder" %>
    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML  4.01 Transitional//EN"><%@page
    language="java" contentType="text/html;  charset=ISO-8859-1"
    pageEncoding="ISO-8859-1"%>
    <%@page import="org.w3c.dom.Document"%><html>

    <meta  http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;  charset=ISO-8859-1">
    </head>
    <body>
    SUCCESFUl!!
    <%
    String remoteURL;
    AIServerProcessesOrderNewSuppliesService service =  new
    AIServerProcessesOrderNewSuppliesService();
    AIServerProcessesOrderNewSupplies  document =
    service.getOrderNewSupplies();
    // Holder<BLOB> finalDoc =  new Holder<BLOB>();
    Holder<String> outVar = new  Holder<String>();
    InvokeResponse responseFor =  new
    InvokeResponse();
    XML xml = new XML();
    //document.invoke("passed  something", finalDoc,
    outVar);
    try
    // get the image  from the database
    //BLOB blob = finalDoc.value;
    // remoteURL =  blob.getRemoteURL();
    document.invokeAsync(xml);
    System.out.println(responseFor.toString());
    catch (Exception  e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    throw e;
    %>
    </body>
    </html>
    I don't see any error in JSP and  it doesn't throw any error but the
    server process is not getting invoked.  Please refer the attachment
    (MyLongLivedProcess.JPG)
    ISSUE 2:
    I  don't want to use workspace. And we also don't want to customize  the
    workspace. Actually, we need a single JSP that will be able to  do
    following stuff:
    1. Show all the tasks assigned to the currently  loggedin user.

  • Workspace login issue with Firefox

    Hi all,
    I have run across an issue where the cursor for logging into Workspace does not appear in Firefox when coming from a redirection link in a Task email.
    The scenario is as follows: We have a long-lived process that emails a user when a task is assigned to them to log into Workspace. The email contains a link for the user to click on which will open up a browser window to the Workspace login screen. If the user's browser default is Firefox, the browser window will open but the cursor for entering User ID and Password is not immediately available. You can click on the User ID box and it gets highlighted, but there is no cursor available. I can get the cursor to appear if I take the focus away from the login boxes. For example, I click into the address bar, then click back into the User ID box or if I minimize the browser window then restore the browser and click into the User ID box. This would be counter-intuitive to the user who is expecting the cursor to be available when the browser opens up for them.
    Has anyone else run into this issue? Is this a known Firefox or Adobe issue that has a fix? I've update to the latest Firefox version and Flash, but still have this issue. There are no problems with IE opening up from the link in the email and the cursor is always available. I don't want to have to force users to use IE as their default browser because of this issue with Firefox. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    It sounds like a issue with FireFox and Workspace.
    LiveCycle Workspace 9.0 - End User Issues
    ** New for LiveCycle ES2 SP1 ** Problem logging into Workspace 9.0 using Firefox 3.6.x in Windows
    When you log into Workspace 9.0 using the Firefox 3.6.x web browser in Windows, you are unable to enter text in the User ID or Password fields. The current workaround is to select another window (or empty area on the desktop), reselect the web browser to reset the focus, and then enter text in the User ID or Password fields.
    You can see it in the release notes at http://help.adobe.com/en_US/livecycle/9.0/releasenotes.html#EndUserIssues.
    Hope that helps!

  • Running Rules in 11.1.2.2 workspace webforms - issues

    We are currently trying to migrate from 11.1.1.3 to 11.1.2.2
    Our business rules were migrated to Calc Manager. Most of our rules are run from a web form with two options on the web form: "Use Members on Form" and "Hide Prompt". They have been running this way without issue in 11.1.1.3 for years.
    However, in 11.1.2.2 it's like playing a slot machine. Sometimes the web form runs the right rule. Sometimes it runs a completely different rule, one not even attached to that web form! Sometimes it shows you the prompts when it shouldn't. Sometimes it uses Members on Form. Sometimes it brings up the prompt window when it shouldn't. Sometimes it brings up the prompt window with an entirely different member than on your form. Sometimes everything works as it should -- often on the first web form and the first rule. Often, but not always. It's random, repeatable, but random. Sometimes after it has repeatedly messed up I'll go to a different form and it will work and run the right rule.
    Sometimes we even get an error where it brings up the prompts when it shouldn't, has a valid member there, but it tells you the member is invalid. "Selected Member list is invalid ..... please check run time prompt limit setting."
    Has any one successfully used web forms to run business rules in 11.1.2.2? Has anyone encountered these kind of whacky issues?
    Thanks for any help!
    Brenda

    First of all, Thank you all for this post and replies and opening ticket with Oracle..
    We are facing similar issue, and its very bizarre. Is there any fix or work-around available or, any patch-set released for these issues?
    Please let everyone know. when a patch arrived for this (and other important fixes that I have not encountered as of now).
    thanks in advance,

  • Workspace config issue.

    Hi ,
    I am trying to configure workspace on windows server, my requirement is to refer shared servces from the
    solaris server.
    But confguaration fails , as it is trying to refer to shared services from windows.
    I tried uninstall and re-install of workspace, it did not help.
    I have also tried changing the workspaceconfig file to refer to soalris shared services , that did not help.
    please suggest is there any thing else I can do to resolve this.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    If you can't access planning through http://<planning machine>/HyperionPlanning/ then IIS set up must not of been successful.
    Cheers
