Worst Service from Skype

I am trying to contact the skype for more than a week, but i doen't work,
I got a new rtx 4088 complete set, i read the manual and a single base station can support upto 4 handset, so, again i orderd a single handset, now i just got 2 different skype account. i signed in sucessfully, but while i make a call on one handset, the other handset shows, landline is busy? 
help me!

    I'm not sure if you contacted Skype Customer Service, but they would be your avenue to resolve the problem.  The general Skype Community has no access to your account info, nor your situation.  Auto charge is something you may have enabled in your account.  You can sign into the Skype website and manage your account including auto-charge.  Changing your password would be a solution to regain access to your account and to boot anyone else off.  If you password was obtained it may have occurred through the use of a public computer, social networking, or even a virus/keylogger on your computer.  You may want to do a full system virus scan, to ensure you have not been exposed through some vulnerability.  I do believe customer service will work with you on the issue but they may suspend your account while they investigate.

  • Worst service experience...irresponsible lenovo customer support

    This is conversation I had with some of the officials of lenovo.
    Not a single person found responsible, starting with Sales support , technical support, Salesservices ED..and list goes on.
    I cried out my issue about 15-17 times to different person, not a single person have kept any track of it niether it is resolved yet. And after all the hustle the final email answer comes from lenovo's Service ED is that they cant help contact local lenovo!
    Worst service ever anyone can provide!

    It is surprising to note that a customer of “Lenovo”, supposed to be a good brand ,has such a pathetic after sales service. 
    Just imagine that a customer is not able to use the system due to non- availability of Lcd rear screen ( part no    90200798 ). God only knows what happens when there is problem with hard disc or some important part. 
    I have been trying for over 3 months now both at your Bangalore office ( at-least 20 times ) service contact no and in US on 877-453-6686 at-least 10 times.
    Your service centre has sent me the wrong part and are not accepting to refund the amount paid USD 72.87
    Even after providing all relevant information about the problem and the product delaying tactics are being adopted by putting irrelevant questions.
    All desired informations are given below once again.

    2. Ordered the part by calling Lenovo (877-453-6686)
    Day before yesterday I called Lenovo (877-453-6686) and had a conversation of 1 hour and 10 minutes  in which the employee gave me an assurance that I will receive an email within 24 hours and he even told that he has made a note of calling me on 06 Nov, 2014 and check with me whether I have received the email or not. I neither have received the email nor I have received a call from him. The employee id is 198558.
    Looking to the attitude of the so called service department of Lenovo I will be left with no other option but to post the case on all social media sites so that the world knows the true face of Lenovo’s service department. I will also be constrained to take legal measures for recovery of the loss .
    Please treat this as the final call and ensure that the problem is attended not later than 10th November 2014.

    It was very kind of you to purchase a Lenovo laptop for your daughter before she went off to college! I’m sure such a purchase was intended to help her through her studies, and I’m truly sorry to hear that she’s encountered issues with the touch-pad so soon after purchase.
    Generally speaking, outside of the Return & Exchange Promise we would attempt to repair the laptop under either a manufacturer warranty or a Geek Squad Protection plan (if one was purchased) depending on the issue at hand. While it is nice to hear that one store may have been willing to offer an exchange, this would be considered an exception and not all stores may be willing to provide such an option. However, this information should of course have been shared with you in a respectful manner, and I apologize if it wasn’t.
    Using the information you registered with the forum, it seems that this purchase was made in August of 2014, putting you far outside the Return & Exchange Promise. I am sorry if the solution offered by the secondary store did not coincide with the first store’s option, and that their solution of repair was unsatisfactory to you. With that said, I would encourage you to return to the store to see what repair options we may have for you. Please let me know if you should have any questions.

  • LACK OF SUPPORT FROM SKYPE For crash

    Total lack of support and no meaningful response from Skype.com forum.
    2 months without being able to use Skype and hours nearly days lost for uninstall reinstall or initialize the phone all that only due to a faulty sensor problem. SKYPE MUST ADD a  setting to disable the proximity sensor (like the existing audio for calls from the phone) . IT IS A MINIMUM!

  • Port number from Skype to At&t?? Prior Success but...

    I do not understand and am frustrated. I recently acquired/purchased a second landline number since the process of porting out a number from skype to AT&T was completed at a prior time successfully (a year or two ago).
    I now am hindered in this process due to ATT saying they recently received a memo which disables them to proceed. Something about Skype's telecom partner no longer allowing international ports or something.
    I called Verizon and they said this was possible for them and they would go ahead with the process.. I do not want to switch providers for a number but would like clarity. Anyone knowledgeable with this process and current/new policy?? I purchased the number for this specific reason.

    Alright ... well, you may have lost your former number. You should have simply submitted your information to activate your iPhone and that act alone would have closed your Verizon account and transferred your number. So if you somehow believed you had to close your Verizon account before activating your iPhone then, in essence, you gave your phone number back to Verizon to release to a new Verizon customer.
    Which is probably why your getting the message that there is no number to transfer. My advice: Accept your fate, re-activate and take a new number.
    I say this because I transferred over from T-Mobile. In fact, I bought six iPhones all together (one for each of my employees) and they had accounts with different service providers (Sprint, Verizon, Metro, etc.). Two employees did as you did and we lost the numbers.
    For those we didn't lose - the only trouble we ran into was failing to insert the the account information exactly as it appeared on our billing statements. If it was all in caps and we went back and put re-input all in caps then the activation and number transferred. If we let off our suite number or if it was shown as # or STE then when we provided that just as it appeared on the statement, the transfer went through.

  • Shocking, service from BT - Trying to upgrade to f...

    Probably the worst service I have ever received, and half wish I hadn't got involved with BT; again! 
    So 5 months ago, we moved house and started a broadband contract with BT for ADSL broadband. We had problems. I waited in from 1-6pm for an engineer to turn up. No show. Not surprised. Had to then spend ages on the phone to get another appointment booked. I can't fully remember how long this took but it wasn't quick. Anyway, long story short, we got it sorted eventually and have been impressed with the actual broadband service. It has been very reliable and consistent.
    Oh no, I forget, we did have a problem with a big drop in speed, this resulted in a lot of phone calls, and was not easy to get sorted, but we did in the end. So… 8/10 for service so far.
    It starts here; worst mistake, we decide to upgrade to infinity (which we have to have) to received BT sport through their TV package, incl. ESPN, HD, Eurosport and some documentary channels. Basically all the channels I used to watch on sky before we cancelled their service. Sounded good.
    17th Sept 2013 1-6pm - Engineer appointment. 
    Guess what? Yep you guessed it… No show. (Just Google BT engineer didn't turn up; a healthy number of hits)! Not surprised, at 5.45PM I called BT to check if the appointment was still booked.
    I was assured, a number of times, that they will be with me by 6PM. 15m left, I didn't think so!
    I was right, no one turned up; again!
    Then it starts… Call after call after call to BT. No one knows what is happening. Admittedly, my partner has been doing the majority of the ringing. We get promised that BT will call back on a certain date. That day comes and we hear nothing. So we call; again! This person then may try and help, but leads us up the garden path and round the block. We are going in circles. They tell us there has been a problem with the exchange. We speak to another person. They say there is no record of this on 'the system'. They tell us someone will call ANOTHER day. No one calls. Honestly, this is going on an on. We have been put through to supervisors, after getting some ridiculous excuses, but still no one is taking hold of our problem/order/situation.
    Anyway, we get some good news and all looks hopeful...
    Yeah right… we follow the instructions and end up back at step one.
    So today I call. I've yet to lose my temper as I don't actually know who to lose it too! But I am getting so fed up with this I'm going to ring the complaints line. Well, there isn't really one, you have to choose technical problems or order problems or whatever to log a complaint.
    Before I ring, I look up the number on the internet and that's when I realise the internet has stopped working. The Broadband light is flashing. Here we go!
    So I call, she looks at our order and, just like everyone else, doesn't have a clue with what's going on. I explain again and she starts to work out what the problem is. Hurray I'm thinking, we're getting somewhere. She puts me on hold while she speaks to a different dept. Lots of holding. Lots of checking. She come back to me and says someone has prematurely closed the order, this is why the internet has gone off. After 45mins on the phone with her, this one was from the UK, she says that she has put an official stop to it. I have to wait 24hrs, for 'the system' to update and then call another BT number. Excuse me! I HAVE TO CALL. Yes, I do. 
    Ok, so are we get somewhere now? I'm hoping so. Anyway, because of 'all the 'load of complete b******' I keep receiving, I decide to call this other number now, just to check the information. This number is for 'Technical support'. Mmmm. Doesn't sound right.
    After ages on hold, again, I get through to another BT guy. Takes him a while to get to grips with the situation and then works out what is supposed to be happening. On 'the system' the account is open. So I said, she said it is closed but will take 24hrs to update. He understands this and confirms that this is correct. Good, so I ask him if I have to call him again tomorrow to get this engineer booked out.
    He says "NO". I have to call another number and he said guess what? Yes, it is the number from the lady I just spoke to: 'Order management'. 
    What the hell?!?!?!?! 
    He seems nice and helpful and seems to know what he's talking about so at the moment I'm going with this. Tomorrow I will call and see what happens. If, as he said, the date is too far in advance, then push to speak to a manager to make it happen. Now I appreciate his advice indeed, but come on, why should I even have to call in the first place!!! But, rest assured, I will want an early appointment and I definitely want someone to turn up!
    I know I'm rambling on, but this is what the whole scenario is, constant holding, constantly going in circles and I'm writing this to show how bad BT's full service is. People are pleasant on the phone, but not efficient. Nothing is getting done. For christ sake this is a simple upgrade, just send me the modem and the new master phone point and I'll install it my end. I'm an electrician so isn't a problem.
    Can anyone tell me why there isn't one person that can take control of my order, liaise with all dept's of BT and sort it out for me? The fact that I have to call another dept is ridiculous after all this palaver!
    I'm not happy at all with the level of service from BT, very disappointed and would cancel if I knew it was going to be straightforward!
    My rant is ongoing, so we will see what happens tomorrow. No doubt on 'the system' it will say that an engineer turned up but couldn't get in!
    Hang on! My partner has just called up from her end! The person she spoke to says what we have been told is half wrong! They are going to call us tomorrow and book an engineer from their dept. What ever dept that is?! 
    This is terrible. We deserve some compensation from BT for this. But at the very least, some help! We just need someone to help us!
    We are waiting for a call tomorrow. I will keep you updated. My hopes aren't high!
    So I tried to post…Of course, I can't because the internet is not working! I'll find another way to get it on. Tethering!

    I am going to keep the commentary flowing on my order, on this post, to let anyone thinking of joining BT, know exactly what they will have to go through when things go wrong. Oh yes, and things certainly can go wrong...
    So, I got a call back, 3hrs later than promised, but at least I got a call back!

    WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! You are supposed to be finding out and telling me?!
    Yes, it was someone completely different who called me back and I had to go through the whole Sarga again. Dont worry, Im getting used to it!
    Why couldn't the same person call me back? Anyway, So back to step one. I get put on hold for 20mins listening to morning mood over and over. He then comes back to me and says "So you have infinity installed but you can't get on the Internet?"
    Seriously, 20mins on hold for him to come back and say that! We,ve already been through this 20 mins ago. I talks over me as I start again, in baby language. Off on hold again...
    Transfers me to someone else after a colleague has a look with him.

    He asks me for the best number to contact me on, again, and says that he is passing it over to a specialist team, called the Akrington team, I think he will take a detailed look through my order with a fine tooth Combe, and DEFINITELY get back to me WITHIN 24 hrs.
    Naturally, as you would if you were me, you,ve heard it all before and are taking it with a pinch of salt.
    Well I say, this is the last chance. If BT do not get back to me, I will not believe anything else they have to say. I am upgrading from broadband to infinity, seriously, how hard can this be????
    If there is a problem with the order, and there are multiple orders open on my account, then find my original upgrade request, with the details of what I ordered, close everything and start afresh!!!! Obviously logic can't be used with "The system"!
    So today, again, I have wasted the best part of an afternoon of my life dealing with this rubbish and going in circles.
    PEOPLE, PLEASE BEWARE AND THINK TWICE BEFORE JOINING BT. I have never complained on an open forum, I'm the type of person who can't be bothered to, but in this case, I feel I have to otherwise I'm not going to get anywhere.
    I'm just hoping the moderators on this forum, who've I've heard good things about, can help me sort this out in the next few days. I know it takes a few days for them to investigate and get back to me, (oh, I wonder why they are so busy? Lol) but I think that's what I'm now relying on, the moderators of this forum.
    Rest assured, I will keep this post updated, with good or bad news. I just want to show someone else who hasn't joined BT yet, what they might have to go through...

  • Spam email from Skype?

    I am a long-time Skype user. Yesterday I started receiving email from what appears to be Skype from its [email protected] address. The email is fishy for several reasons: It is a welcome email addressed to Skype user "abdullah434771" but that is not my Skype username. The email is a welcome email despite the fact that I have been on Skype for ages. The email is in German (titled "Sagen Sie Hallo zur wundervoll​en Welt von Skype") but I do not speak German and have never listed it in any preferences. Lastly, it is coming to a legitmate gmail address of mine that is not the main email address linked to my Skype account. I have recevied this message twice now.
    I am posting this here because there is clearly something wrong, even though the message visually appears to be a genuine Skype email. I do not want to keep hitting spam in my gmail settings as I did the first time as I do not want my gmail to start treating emails from Skype as spam. Has someone erroneously put my email as their own? What should I do?

    Any person can create a Skype account and register any email address (valid or not) in it.  I think this is one weakness of the Skype registration system.  Moreover, you may need to report this to Skype Support and request to unlink that unknown account from your email address.

    afaik, all users can use the email support option.  But as you said you can not use that facility, send an email to their generic email address instead - [email protected]

    You have hacked your phone with Turbo SIM. You cannot get any help here for hacked phones. Contact the place/person who sold you the SIM. Surely, they have support services, don't they?

  • Moving Services from One Home to Another Takes 3 weeks or more.

    I just recently moved to a new home and prior to moving, I called Verizon to move my phone services from the old house to the new one.  After completion of the services I requested (very simple just give me a dial tone) for the new home, I was provided with a schedule date of 3 weeks from the date I called.  When I asked for the reason, I was told that there is a great demand for Verizon Fios and this will impact the time for them to get to me to setup service.  I told the customer service rep. that all of those people probably already have phones and why is there such a long wait time just to establish phone service at a new site.  Again, I was told of the high verizon fios demand.  On top of that, I called again to speak with an Escalation Specialist about my problem and Verizon gave me the runaround.  At first they asked a bunch of questions about why I needed to talk to an escalation specialist and then I was transferred only to be kept on hold for about 30 minutes.  Two days of this and I am still trying to understand from someone at Verizon why I have to be without a phone for 3 weeks.  This delay has delayed everything, security, cable (for messaging) you name it.  Verizon has the worst customer service I have ever experienced.  I hope that I dont have any problems with my phone service once it is installed.  Either way I am afraid with the terrible customer service and response time.  I will be jacked if I have any type of emergency.   This same scenario happened to a friend of mine and what was even worse a Verizon technician was next door and told my friend that he could not provide service to her or else he would be fired.  If a verizon technician is in the area what is the problem with providing service especially if he is right next door.  Makes no sense....Poor customer service.

    Someone will probably give you a real-world example of how to do it, but to get you started you may want to review the Hyperion Security Administration guide, section "Migrating Native Directory" which discusses that you need to first install the Import/Export Utility on your Shared Services server, then create an export file, then go to your target Shared Services Server and long story short, import it.

    I have been a iphone user since january 2013. i have found some issues with the battery of my iphone 5 and booked appointment several times to report to it. the problem was battery dies unexpectedly, for example it dies when it shows even arround 20% remaining sometimes. every times i have made checked it with genius bar the found no problem using there diagnostic system. On 22 december 2013 again i have done some diagnostic test with apple genius bar and they reformat everything and said problem will be solved. however again on 24 december i had to take my phone to genius bar as they problem was still there and it was died suddenly even there were more than 20% charge remaining. Then i got to the stratford apple store and showed my phone to one of the manager named Harnson. i have showed the dead phone and describe him the situation. he tried to switch it on and found that it shows no battery is low as 2% and need to charge. then he take me to genius bar to diagnostic the phone again. in the genius  bar when his colleague has switched it on then it showed 24% charge remaining. then i explain that this device has no reliability. it doesn't show the actual percentage. it was 2% few minutes ago and died and now it is showing 24% without any charging. then he diagnostic it again and found no problem....
    he replied to me your phone is perfectly find according to the diagnostic report. so they can not do anything about it. i was so much frustrated about the whole service. the staff at the bar was so muuuuuuchhhhh unfriendly and unhelpful. later he talked to one of his colleague and suggested me to pay 100 pound or something to replace with a new phone..
    i felt so bad and i was not expect this sort of service from the world famous apple company.. staffs attitude are genuinely very bad and arrogant.
    1. how can i prove that there are some problem with the battery. even they have seen that it turns from 2% to 24% without charging. the device is a fault since i bought it. but as it is not showing in the diagnostic test the refused to take any action about it.
    2. bad attitude and arrogant staff made me feel even worst.
    please note that this staff are nice with white people and im an asian. is that can be a reason of having bad services from apple????????????? 

    no they gave me a new 3g 16 gig, i did ask for a 3gs....it is like for like when it comes to replacing....but i think i was pushing my, luck, but im very happy not to have paid the 139 quid, so a happy customer I am, my problem was that i was out of warranty, i did not take out the extra protection warranty ( silly yes, leason learnt... i hope so )
    It was the guy who served me who was fantastic, i cannot fault him, he did not have to wave the extra monies, but he said that i seemed genuine, and the fact i did not jail brake my phone or want to, even know he prompted me to as a suggestion , maybe just maybe this all worked in my favour and the result is i have an iphone that works..... Now my issue is with O2 my telco carrier in the UK, as of Nov this year, O2 pay and go customers are in-titled to have there phones unlocked if they have had there phones for more than 12 months. My phone is 15 months old(all with O2) , so an unlock i can get, but because i have a "replacement phone", the imei number is different to what my initial phone was, they are saying i have to wait another 12 months.... I got a SMS message from O2 today that my unlock application was unsuccessful ..... because i have a different IMEI number to which i started with..... just when u think it is easy...WHAM .... so i have to take on O2 now, more phone calls etc...... Any suggestions anyone, has this happened to anyone you know ?

    So my Skype account has been terminated / frozen and I sent an email off to the Skype Customer Support and I was kind of confused about the response I recieved. Can anyone clarify what they are talking about in the second email? Cause I'm drawing blanks. However, recently a friend of mine added my Skype username to a website that has tons of people looking to improve their english and I was mass-added over 25 times within a day or two before my account became frozen. But the last reply still had me kind of confused as if I had committed a crime or something of the sort. Here are the emails.

    I do not understand why my account is randomly disabled without a specific reason. I would like to know what it is that my account went through in order to be banned. I have used skype for over 5 years and have over 400 contacts of which I cannot regain without that account information. Is there a way I can get my contacts back at least?

    Dude that is so **bleep** up there are no words. The only thing I can say is that you can create a new account, and if you still have your Skype installation then from your C:\Users\YourUser\AppData\Roaming\Skype\something folder, you can get the main.db file which contains all of your previous chat messages, you can extract these messages with NirSoft Log Viewer and then use the Skype Chat Log Parser I hacked together in Java http://stackoverflow.com/a/23196073/2413303 to get a list of the names of people you've had chat with (it organizes them based on name, convenient right?) and re-add those manually, I'm sorry I don't know a better alternative.

    Hi! Two times so far that I received a strange email from Skype, in spanish or something!! I'm wondering what this is all about and why the heck spanish? I'm french canadian!
    The email says something like :
    Tu crédito quedará inactivo en 3 días.
    Aparentemente, hace tiempo que no usas tu crédito de Skype. Recuerda que si no lo usas en un periodo de 180 días queda inactivo. Pero no te preocupes porque una vez que quede inactivo puedes reactivarlo cuando estés listo para usarlo. Simplemente inicia sesión en tu cuenta en Internet y sigue los pasos para reactivar el crédito. Detalles de tu cuenta:
    Nombre de usuario: (myusername)
    Saldo: CAD6,86
    Plus, why is it talking about my account not being active and a balance of $6,86 I should have over $16... 
    Not sure what's going on and where to ask...

    That message translate to;
    Your credit is inactive in 3 days.
    Apparently you have not you use your Skype Credit. Remember that if you use it in a period of 180 days is inactive. But do not worry because once you reactivate it is idlewhen you are ready to use. Just log into your online account and follow the steps to revivecredit. Details of your account:
    Username: (myusername)
    Balance: CAD6, 86

    you may need to contact customer service, you can also ask them to change the language of the emails you are receiving.
