Written signature

how can I get my written signature to appear in pages. Is there a program that does it??

chasin5,
if you save your written signature as image (e.g. pdf, jpeg, or png), you can simply insert that image in your document.
Maybe it will help to set the image "Fix on page" in Wrap inspector.
As an aside: depending on where you use the final document, it's easy to extract an image of your written signature from the Pages document or even from a PDF and misuse it for "special" purposes.

  • Add Written Signature to PDF

I want to add a written signature to an existing PDF document.
I would prefer to use an Image XObject in an annotation, but unless I'm overlooking it, there doesn't appear to be a way to create an annotation that shows an image.  So now I'm thinking that the only way to add an image to the page is to create a content stream that shows an Image XObject, and add the stream to the page's '/Contents' array?
The other way that I've found is to vectorize the signature and use an Ink Annotation, which seems pretty straightforward, but would require a lot of changes to my signature capturing system.
Any other options that I'm overlooking?

Don't look for annotations, look at the form field capabilities: You can
add a button with an image as the button face. That's a fairly straight
forward process to bring an image into a PDF file. Once the button is in
the PDF, you can then flatten the page to "burn" the image into the PDF so
that it's no longer an interactive button.

  • How do I create hand written signatures on the trackpad?

I have an iMac 27" with Retina Display and also added a trackpad. I saw somewhere that you can create a hand written signature using the trackpad but I don't know how to do it. The closest thing I saw was in Preview but it didn't have an option to save the signature.

    Thank You!
This solution will work using the camera but I read somewhere that using the trackpad you can capture the real signature (and indeed it does in Preview). I still don't know how to save this file in Preview to use in a PDF or Pages document. Also the trackpad only records a signature image using one's finger which turns out to be way too large to use. When I try to use a pen (no ball out) or an unsharpened pencil, it will not work. This would provide a signature that is the size of my real signature.
So thank you for the answer using the iMac camera (I saw this in Preview) but how do you do it with the Track Pad without using your finger?
PS - I'm just learning to use Apple's Yosemite OS. I have Parallels on my iMac and it runs Windows 7. I have used a PC my entire life and I now want to use just the Apple OS but am not familiar with a lot of it. I am going to One-to-One sessions this year (had my first "lesson" a week ago).

  • Capturing written signatures on iPad 1

I need to be able to create a document using the keyboard and then capture a client's signature using a stylus on my iPad 1 (iOS 5.1.1). I then need to be able to transfer/sync this document to my MacBook which uses Snow Leopard. Can I do that with Pages on both my iPad and MacBook, or is there some other recommended app?

Not familer with Cyberduck - you may want to see if the vendor has a support site - but INI is not a graphic file format. Its a configuration file. Looks like what ever you are downloading is the wrong thing.

  • How do I add a Handwritten Signature to my form? And other Form Questions

    Hi there,
I'm making a form for parents who's kids are going to drive a motorcycle for the first time.
Now I want to use my laptop with touchscreen for people to fill it in.
the normal boxes (name, adres etc) with keyboard.
But the important part is the SIGNATURE which has to be handwritten.
It's for insurance and legal autorisation from the parents that the kid is allowed to drive and they know the risks and rules.
How do I add a box in which parents can sign.
Or is there another solution to make it legal?
Another question now I might have someones attention:
After a parent is done filling the form and presses OK or DONE
Is there a way a parent can choose to use a new blank form or the same form again without date of birth/name/sex
so he/she can fill the forms faster for the rest of the kids?
    OR
Is it possible to let a parents say I have 4 kids (with a choice menu)
and the parent wil get 4 name/age/sex openings and the rest of the form will stay the same?
    And
Is it possible to export the whole bunch into a excel for easy usage
    Thanks in advance
    and all tips are welcome!
    Love
    Kim

Just to share some info for this:
I used to do this sort of thing quite a bit.  What I used was a scanner to scan my hand written signature to an image file.  I would then paste the image file, which supported transparency, over the signature line.  More recently, I used Photoshop to draw a signature saving in a transparent image file.
Just to warn you though:  you are asking for legal advice, and you are not going to get that here.  I would consult with an attorney to find out exactly what is legal.

  • Digital signatures with different versions of Reader

I have created a form which requires a digital signature for approval. Typically, an employee will complete the form in Reader and forward it to a supervisor for approval. The supervisor needs to sign it digitally and forward it to me.
The issue we are having is with those employees who are completing the form in Reader and the supervisor (or someone thereafter) has a more updated version of Reader and cannot sign the document. What can we do to stop this from happening? There is no practical way to keep everyone on the same version of Reader. We will have many more forms which require a signature, and we need this issue resolved. (I am using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to create the forms.)
Also, is there a way to verify the digital signature without using a third-party source? At this point, we know anyone can create a digital signature using someone's hand-written signature they found on another paper and we would like to prevent this from happening. We need to validate the person who used the digital signature is really that person.
Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

If you are creating your forms in Acrobat 9 Pro. and then Reader-enabling them for digital signatures, then recipients of the form will need to use at least version 8 of the Adobe Reader. Also, you'll need to do a few things during the authoring stage of your form, if your form changes by role (i.e., additional data is entered, annotations, or multiple signatures). Mainly you'll need to use a certification sig. for the first signature and set permitted changes after certifying.
You can find a lot more detail on best practices on developing forms for multiple signatures in the Digital Signature User Guide at:
    http://www.adobe.com/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/acrobat_digsig_userguide_90.pdf
The guide also explains how to validate documents (authenticity validation and document integrity validation).

  • Troubleshooting Electronic Signature in Adobe X Standard

Trying to assist a coworker in setting up an electronic signature with password.  When walking her through the screens, I noticed the "Add Digital ID" popup box does not show "Key Algorith" or "Use digital ID for" sections (mine does).  She does not get the prompt to make up a password and enter twice.  She says that she gets a box that wants her to enter a password but she has not created one.  Any assistance is greatly appreciated.  I am new to Adobe so I am limited in my knowledge.

Employee states this solved the password problem but now her written signature is extremely small when placed on a document.

  • Signature with .pdf image only?

I have created a fillable form using Adobe Pro XI.  The form can be filled out using Reader and
users can put in their digital ID signatures into the blocks I created for
that.  However, going through the process
of signing the form, the only option for a scanned in image of a hand written
signature is a .pdf file.  Guess I
thought any type file such as jpegs, bitmaps, etc. could be used.  The problem with the .pdf file is our users
cannot crop this type of image down to just the signature using Reader.  So, when the image is placed into the
signature block, it is the whole 8.5x11 page.
Can’t really see the signature.  I
tested some other fillable forms for Reader found online from other sources and
it I is the same thing.  Can only use
.pdf  file as the signature image.  Is there another way to do this?  Am I missing something?

Reader only allows signatures from pdf files, Acrobat from other files. When scanning their signature they should be able to scan to a custom size page or use a graphics program to crop the scanned image even if it is a pdf. The Mac Preview program is capable of cropping pdfs. The only graphics program I use on Windows is Photoshop, which can do the job, but it is certainly what I would call overkill for the job. Perhaps ImageJ or Gimp can do the job of cropping.

  • Collecting digital signatures on forms

Hello. I'm working on turning our paper based forms into forms people can fill out on the computer through Acobat 9 PRO.
I know that you can distribute a form to multiple users who can fill it out and send it back; but I'm needing to send multiple users a filled out form, have then review it and digitally sign the document. So....example:
I send the same form to 2 different, who review the information on their own computers and digitally sign the form and submit it back. So now I have 2 versions of the same form, each one with one signature.
My questions is, is there a way to combine those 2 forms so that I have the same form with both signatures on it???
Also, if that's not an option, is there a way to set up a workflow so that when one person digitally signs the fom and hit submits it goes to the next individual who needs to sign it, untill it's all be signed and then submited back to the distributor? Thanks.
Hope that's not too confusing. Thanks for the help.

If you need to collect multiple signatures on a form, then everyone must have access to and sign only one copy of the form.  This is why I suggested using the shared review process.  This process does NOT require using the Adobe server as was suggested earlier by astarxy.  You can use any web server (even a free hosting account); in my case for internal use I created a SharePoint site which I use as the document and comments repository.  Using Acrobat Pro, we place signature fields on the form for each participant.  How you set these fields up can really simplify the process:
In the Tooltip for each field you may want to put something like "John Doe Signature" or "Business Analyst Signature" so that it is clear who signs where.
If not using shared reviews, you may want to try adding a script to execute on the signed tab.  The script could email the form to you and all other users that are required for your process.
If you need hand-written signatures you could have each person scan their signature to a PDF and assign the PDF to a custom stamp.  Users simply stamp where required.  I created a menu button that flattens annotations; if I used this stamping optin I would want to either have the option of using that button or have some code within the form's WillSave action to flatten annotations.
If using shared reviews you have the option to customize the email that will be sent to participants.  Here you can specify any requirements and give directions, such as "Mike in accounting should review and sign first, followed by Doug in Legal.  After Doug signs, the document should be reviewed/signed by Jane in Operations..."  You could also comment directly on the form if needed.
There are many possibilities beyond these, although most of which are fairly complex or involve 3rd party companies such as Docusign.  Hopefully the ideas listed will help get you going in the right direction.

  • How do I create a signature, and then add it to an e ailed document?

How can I create a signature and then use it to sign a document in e mail?

Not sure I understand the question correctly.
Open Mail and click on Preferences under the Mail menu. Click on the Signatures icon in the toolbar. You can set up your signatures there.
But if you are talking about adding a written signature, then you cannot do that within Mail. You would need to scan in an image of your written signature then manually add it to a signature you create in mail as a graphic image. That seems to work.

  • Scanned hand signature vulnerability

    Hi,
I have few scanned documents which have my hand signature in my laptop computer. I am afraid that if my laptop is stolen and goes to the wrong hands, these signatures can be used to fake my signature.
May someone with my scanned sigature exploit it for bad purpurses ? I mean, is a simple scanner resolution (like 300DPI) really enough to fake my signature ?
What is the maximum resolution which disables the ability to fake my signature  ?
Is there any other solution you suggest (except encrypting my files, which I don't want to do because I am afraid that if I forget the password, the file would be no use) ?

Hand-written signatures are not really used for identifying a person, do they? Unless you're a known athlete or author or something like that they're pretty much meaningless.
And if you sign a document anyone with access to it can simply extract it from there (scan it, take a picture of it, etc.) and have a perfect (digital) copy of your signature, so there's no real way you can protect yourself from that.
If someone wants to sign in your name they can do it with or without a copy of your signature, so I wouldn't worry about it. That's not what's going to stop someone from faking your signature.

  • Disable Digital Signatures Completely

    Hello,
My company is not yet on board with digital signatures, and occassionally people attempt to turn in their forms digitally (with digital signatures) when they should be turning them in on paper with hand written signatures.
I'm wondering if there is a way to disable electronic signatures when creating a document in Adobe LiveCycle. Right now the only option I have is writing text beneath the signature field saying, "Please don't use electronic signatures", and this isn't exactly ideal.
    Thank you.

You can either remove the signature field from the form till it's implemented in your organization or modify the form to make the signature field as hidden/invisible.

  • Does any have problem viewing digital signature from PDF?

I have this problem, when viewing digitally signed PDF from iBooks app, all the signatures are gone.

I sign the pdf with a digital signature which includes a picture of my written signature.  When I attach it to Apple mail or upload to mobileme, the signiture disappears.  My clients see nothing.  When I go back to the email in the sent box and open the pdf in the email there is no signature.  When I open the original pdf the signature is there
This problem does not exist in outlook 2011, but would have liked to use mail as outlook does not support caldev
I don't know if I can explain it any better.
