Wrong Work center picking up Time sheet

Hi
Scenario is as follows:
Earlier Employee has HR assignment to one Work center 1 -WC1
Later, Employee was Assigned to Work center 2- WC2
Problem: When booking time sheet in CAT2 , for service order, WC1 was picking up, even though in Service order WC2 is assigned.
We have deleted the Employee HR assignment from WC1 , but still in Time sheet WC1 is coming.
Please suggest.

Is it possible for anyone to tell, from where the work center is being picked up in CAT2. We are processing time sheet booking for service order. The work center in service order is something different than what is picked up in CAT2.

MSS different cost center by approved time sheet

Hello,
In Table CATSDB seen we the results from time entry. The fields Send cost center and receiver cost center. An employee has an standard costcenter as masterdata. When this person works a couple of hours on a cost center that differs from his standard (master data), he giving in the cost center were he works on. Every thing is ok in ESS.
In MSS in the team viewer this person belongs to a team. Bij the approval of time sheets he displays standard (master data) and the u2018differentu2019 cost center. This situation we want to avoid. The u2018differentu2019 cost center is somebody else his responsilibility.
I try something with Cost center responsility. Can someone help me?

I have the same requirement where i have to default the Sending cost center and Actiivty type from infotype 315 in the CAT2 sending cost center and activity , but in the cats profile defaults section i have kept the Cost Center and acitivyt type checboxes being checked , still iam not getting the values of the 0315, please could you let me know how to default the values in cat2.

Changing default Work Center during CATS time entry

Hi Folks,
I am hoping someone here can throw some expert advice.
Currently during time entry in CATS, we have Work Center coming in from the Work Order. Its getting defaulted without any option to change it. Business here has a need to change it. I have llooked into the CATS profile to see if there is a place that enable the WC to be defaulted.
In Transaction CAC1, there is a section that shows what fields are being defaulted during CAT2 time entry. However I do not see the Work Center as one of the option there.
Can any one help?
In short, where do we disable the defaulting of the WC from the Word Order during time entry?

Hi,
Adding to what Kapil said; if the work centre is a grayed out in time shet screen then you can go to CAC2 transaction and make it editable. By this way users will be able to change the work centre on screen.

Wrong profit center picked during return GR

Dear Experts,
I'm doing purchase return process. Thus I created PO & then return material via MIGO by using movement type 161. I noticed that wrong profit center that system picked under account assignment tab in MIGO. This profit center field is grayed out so I couldn't change to correct profit center during MIGO .
Let me understand where the system picked the profit center because there is no account assignment tab exist in said PO. So I unable to check where the prfit center come from. Or how may I check this in configuration path.
Please understand me how the profile center play his role during PO & MIGO creation. Thank you.

Yes I noticed the profit center. So system picked from master data when we perform GR. I noticed that the same profit center in sales general/plant in material master. Appreciate if you could tell me what is the different mainting in both field.

Work Flow for Cat Time sheet approval(more than one employee)

Hello Frn's,
SAP provided workflow for time sheet approval using CAT2 transaction . Currently it is sending mail only a single employee's manager(while Time admin is submiting the time sheet of more than one employee) .
But i need to send mail (work Item) to managers of all the employees .
Please suggest some way to achieve this requirment .

Work center setup & clean times calculations

dear consultants,
kindly i have a confusion about WC time planning,
1. if i define the setup time in WC and when create production orders system calculate setup times for each order.
but in practical production for the first order in the morning we do setup but for next orders suing the same machine and product, we produce using the machine without re-setup. how to fix this problem?

For operations and phases, you can now maintain the fields 'Setup group category' and 'Setup group key' on the 'General data' detail screen please check. If you select an entry in OPG6 the 'Resource setup group' transaction and you jump to the setup transition detail screen for the selected setup matrix and reciep group counter.

Work center decision

Dear all,
Ex- Reactor is main work center main , under this we r having different type of reactors like R1,R2, R3
my client want to maintain main rector(work center) in master recipt, and they will take a perticular work center decision at time of creation of process order. means they will change work center reactor to R1 or R2 as per avaibility of machin
I suggested, Initially sytem copy std. master recipt in process order , then u will make a changes of work center at process order lavel as per you requirement.
Is it ok suggetion ? or do u have any different idea?

Dear,
There is one more way to incorporate such requirement.
Create additional master recipes which includes different work center.Then create different production version to incorporate that different master recipe and work centers.
Now at the time of production release or creation do the selection of required production version as per the work center availability.

*I dont want to put the cost center in work center as we are not capturing the labour cost. so creating only dumy work center for each plant but the cost center is mandatory in work center*
*I also try to make it non-mandatory through field selection path as shown below but i am not able to that*

Thnx for givin your valuable time ,, solution is ok but now every time at i m getting a pop-up(cost center is not assign to the work center ) at the time of creation of notification, equipment, order.
Is there is any alternate to solution or pl suggest how could remove that pop-up

Temporary shut down of Work Center

We are taking capacity planning into consideration, and work center is
temporarily shutdown for a period of 12 hrs.
How to capture the temporary shutdown of the work center in SAP, in order
no production orders takes work center into consideration as available capacity during this temporary shut down time
Lastly, if shutdown time is able to capture in SAP, and fixing of work center
is less than 12 hrs (lets assume 8 hrs) How to chance dynamically in orders for the production orders
to consider the work center as available

We have not implemented PM module. As a work around, we created a
dummy production order (without material - c007) and assigned a operation to the
temporary shutdown work center, this production order filled the work center
temp. shutdown time slot (so, other production orders cannot use it)
Other Parameters we considered:
1. Backward Scheduling
2. Basic Finish Date (day on W/C is temp. shut down)
3. Basic Start Date calculated (From Routing Operation Mins)- Routings operation
minutes maintained in par the temporary shut down time
4. Operation costs: 1cent/hr

You cant change the work center for confimation time but you can enter new actual work ceter for that time of confirmation, pls change below configuration

Date Calculation on Time Sheet

Hi, I am working on getting our time sheets out of excel and into a fillable pdf. I have had noproblems with any part of it until I got to the date calculations.
I have looked at other threads and tried the recomendations but couldn't make it work.
This is what I need.
I have a field called weekending, this field is set to a date format of mm/dd/yyyy and is keyed by the employee when they are working on the time sheet.
The calcuation I need is for the dates for each day of the week. Our payweek starts on Sunday and ends on Saturday. So the calcuation for our first day of the week, Sunday would need to be the date entered in the field weekending - 6 days , for Monday weekending - 5 days, Tuesday weekending - 4 days, Wednesday weekending - 3 days, Thursday weekending - 2 days, Friday weekending - 1 days, Saturday weekending - 0 days.
Each day of the week has it own field and needs its own calculation. Please help, I am using Acrobat 9 Standard.

Pages 08 has a feature, gone in Numbers 09, that allows you to fill an entire column or row with the same formula by creating it in a Header. What happens, as I recall, it that your formula is copied to all the body cells and disappears from the header cell in which it was created.
It seems to me that you have begun with a Header Column, but you are using it as a normal column and are surprised when it acts like a Header column is designed to do.
My first suggestion is that you read the User Guide regarding Headers and Footers. Then Select Column B, click the menu triangle in the label and select Add Column Before. Next copy your content from your Column A and Paste it into your now blank Column B. Lastly, delete Column A so that you no longer have a Header Column. That should eliminate the Header behavior that is tripping you up.

Dear Saurabh,
You may allocate one or more capacity categories to a work center. Capacity categories are defined in customizing. Examples are labor, machine, energy and so on.
You must maintain data to enable the system to calculate available capacity at that work center for that category. Examples include calendar assignment, start time, stop time, length of breaks, utilization, number of individual capacities. This is maintained in the capacity header screen of the capacity category for the work center.
If you indicate that a capacity is pooled, then it may be used by several work centers. An example is a setup team. They can perform setups at several work centers but can only work at one work center at a time.
Routings within a routing group are used for producing similar materials. One routing group can also contain routings with similar production processes.
The alternative sequence enables you to select alternative operations for a sequence of operations - for example in the case of different work procedures for different batch sizes or capacity bottlenecks.
The parallel sequence enables you to process operations independently of others.
A routing contains the operations to be performed, their sequence and the various work centers involved to manufacture an item.
A routing can include the following:
*The standard values (times) for activities such as setup and processing
*Work centers where the operations are performed
*The material components allocated to the operations
*Any production resources / tools necessary to perform the operation
*Inspection characteristics for operations where inspection is carried out
*Instructions of what to do at each operation
*Skills required to perform the operation

Work Center displaying wrong in CO14 Transaction

Dear Experts
We are facing a Problem at time of Confirmation Through CO11N,Under work center field there are 2 fields Current to Confirm & Planned to Confirm,user is entering same Work Center in both fields,But when we save the confirmation & check in C014,we are seeing in Current to Confirm field some Other work center which is not there in Routing.
From where system is picking this work center.
I am not able to understand.
Is this a customisation issue,Or a Master data issue.

Planned to confirm work center is Production Order work center
Current to confirm work center is actual running work center (becase due to some reason for doing other work center)
To Check confirmation parameters (SPRO)
OPK0 (may be included Details area 0410 or 0420)

Profit Center picking wrongly during billling

Hi SAP Experts,
We have one issue where wrong profit center is getting picked during the time of billing.
The SD flow is Customer Contract>Exchange customer order>Purchase Order>Billing Invoice> Accounting Doc.
Till Purchase Order the profit center is 100000 which is correct and is entered in customer contract & in material master data also. but in billing the profit center is changing to 400000.
When i futher analyse this issue, i found out that the line item in the accounting doc for profit center 400000 is coming from COPA assignment. In OKB9 also Proft Seg is ticket for that Cost Element which is having profit center as 400000
So is how to check where is this profit center 400000 assinged in value fields or some where else in COPA.
Pls advice.

I asked you when is the COPA doc generated? Is it generated out of SD Invoice (VF01) or is it generated out of MM Invoice?
I would like to know your scenario in as many steps as you can describe...
If the COPA doc is generated out of SD Invoice - Then record type of the document is F.. Usually, this picks up the PRCTR correctly from the originating document and there is no means of specifying a default profit center in this case...
If the COPA doc is generated from MM, it will have record type B and this record type can take the default PRCTR from OKB9
