WRT54G v7 keep locking up
Hi,
I've just recently purchased Linksys WRT54G for my client (I'm in Australia).I have configure it for Wireless connection with the following setup,
- Channel 6
- SSID Broadcast, if I set it to not broadcast, it cannot connect (IMO this is silly because with Netgear router it works fine with hidden SSID)
- WPA PSK with TKIP, 9 character a combination of symbols, characters and numbers
- MAC Address control
After installation and basic configuration so I can connect to the net, I upgrade it to version 7.0.0.4
Upgraded the router and then continue with setting up the rest of the PCs.
After I left the office, 1 hour later my client called to say the wireless stop working. I went back to the office and found out that the router has lock itself up, I can't even bring up the web administration eventhough I'm trying to access it via ethernet (wired connection).
I reset the router and everything is fine, I left it, 2 hours later the router lock itself up again. I asked the client to reset it for me, and then 1 hour later he called me to tell me that it has lock itself up again. Within less than day the router needs to be resetted 3x.
Is it because version 7 is faulty or is there something that can be done to stabilise the connection?

So eventhough the link that I post above stated verion 7.0.0.0 I cannot flash the router with that one to bring it back to version 7.0.0.0? As far as I know firmware is just a software so if I have original firmware, I can flash it to return it to original state. Flashing with an older software means I downgrade, flashing with a more recent software means I upgrade.
I just called Linksys helpdesk and their advice is the same thing, reflash, reset, and reconfigure.
Does Linksys has a unique quirks for flashing? I noticed at some posts it's suggested to have wireless client disconnected and made sure that nobosy is trying to connect while upgrading the firmware. I never have to do this with other brand, of course all wireless clients will lose connection while doing firmware upgrade but I never have to prevent them to connect.
Is there other thing that I have to be aware of while flashing Linksys routers?
I will try reflash, reset and reconfigure later on, will let you all know what the outcome is..

Firefox 4.0 keeps locking up and is slow to load pages

My mac keeps locking up it s Power mac G5 Intel using 10.6.8 OS.X. I get no warning or error messages it just locks up and the only way to get it to work again is to depress power button and restart. Its random intermittent and incredibly frustrating. I do get some screen distortion from time to time and wondered whether it may be a graphics card issue or whether it could be solved with a complete system re-install and OS upgrade?
According to everymac.com, your Mac came with Tiger, 10.4.x and can't go any higher than Lion, 10.7.x.
It would have come with gray, machine specific disks. Since there's no reason to install 10.4.x first, and then Snow Leopard over that, just purchase a retail copy of Snow Leopard for $20. What you won't get with the retail version of SL is the iLife suite (Garage Band, iDVD, etc.) that were on the original bundled disks, but you can purchase iLife on Amazon pretty cheap, and get newer versions besides.
When you get Snow Leopard, you can boot to the DVD, erase the drive and install everything clean. Hopefully, you issue is only software, and not hardware related. -
My grandsons new Apple refurbed 35g ipad keeps locking up with a black screen amd nothing else. I have reset it many times pressing the home and off buttons together but it keeps locking up. Help,please!
Thank you for trying to help. I followed your instructions, it took 6 hours to download, and then said it could not solve the problem (something to do with error 9?). It will have to go back to Apple - its only 3 days since it came out of the package and its very disappointing for him. Looks like I have to hang around in the Apple store in Plymouth all tomorrow until they can fix it, or will change it. Thanks for your help.

HT1349 iMatch keeps locking up iTunes as it tries to set itself up on my PC...
I am using iTunes, and trying to set up iMatch, and it keeps locking up iTunes when matching songs to the store and uploading my songs that are not in the store. It just won't finish and basically shuts down iTunes in the process... Apple online support keeps asking me for my serial #, but my main computer is a PC. I use an iphone and ipad to sync with my computer's itunes and thought iMatch might be the way to go to get everything together...

You can -
1 restore
2 reset by holding home button and off button together for like 10 seconds.
3 go to settings>>general>>auto-lock>>choose never (might work..) -
Blackberry keeps locking itself
My blackberry keeps locking itself in the middle of me using it without me even pressing the lock button? its really annoying because it will lock and then i try unlock it and then it locks again and freezes and then the buttons and scrolls stop working and i dont know why its doing this?

Ok so you can easily unlock with the top edge button.

How Many Times in a Week Will Apple Keep Locking My Account?
Twice a week Apple keeps locking my account and I have to go reset it with my old password or issue a new password. I have done both yet I can't go a week without being told I have to do it again...and again.
How do I end this loop?Ok, Finally I switched my coding to use DAO and DTO, and I learned it through internet.
I removed all of data access codes from my jsp file(lets say 'functions.jsp'). I then created one interface and two clasess.

PDF files keeps locked in Explorer preview
When previewing a PDF in Windows Explorer (Windows 7 & 8) the background process AcroRd32.exe will run 2 times and after deselecting the pdf it takes approx 15 seconds to close AcroRd32.exe. Also the file keeps locked for 15 seconds until AcroRd32.exe will close. How can I speed this up? What I want is when deselecting the PDF in explorer, closing AcroRd32.exe instantly, just like when closing down Adobe Reader itself.
I am using 11.0.5 but this is happening in other versions too.

After update to iOS7 my iPhone 5 keeps locking up
My iPhone 5 keeps locking up after I have updated it with iOS7. I will turn it of by pressing the top button, and then later on when I try to open it nothing happens. I have to plug it in before it will restart itself. Any ideas?????? It's happened about 3 times a day for the last couple of days.
RESET DEVICE
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for device to restart (no data will be lost). -
Multicam keeps locking up after 12 minutes of perfection!
I'm having the weirdest problem with FCP's new multicam feature which I can't figure out if its a hardware limitation or a software problem.....
I've got 3 angles captured via OfflineRT, and I'm editing as if trying to make a "live" switch of the footage. For the first 12 minutes, it worked PERFECTLY. I was shocked and excited at how smooth my little project was coming together. Each edit being made exactly where I wanted it to. Happiness seemed inevitable.
Until I reach the 12 minutes point....
After that, it keeps locking up. The program doesn't crash, but it refuses to play. I get 5 seconds of video, then the spinning beach ball for 50 seconds. No edits recorded. No nothing. It brings my system to a screeching halt until I shut down and restart, only to continue once again after I open FCP.
What the heck is going on? It was working perfectly, then just - stopped, and hasn't sense. I've lowered playback resolution to 25%, changed everything to work at the lowest rate possible - I've done everything and anything to help free up memory. Nothing works. I delete all of my previous edits off the Multicam Timeline. No go. Absolutely nothing seems to make a difference... and I don't know what the heck to do!
I'm running on a PowerBook G4 867, 1.12 Gigs of RAM. I know it's slow, but I've cut two feature films on this thing with no problems until now. I almost want to believe the hardware is just getting too old for FCP5.... but why would it work for 12 minutes then just stop?

1. It's after 12 minutes in the timeline.... that's when all the trouble started. Of course, at this point, it won't even work at all. Stops playing at the exact same place every time.
2. Activity Monitor says only 16% of the CPU is being used by FCP, and 692 megs of RAM is being used overall. Doesn't seem to be maxxing out....
3. The file size of the project is huge.... which sort of baffles me. 9.2 megs. Features I've edited have smaller project sizes than that, with 5 times the amount of edits. What the heck is going on??? -

My macbook keeps locking all of my folders and files, even when I try unlocking them myself in Get Info and disabling autolocking in Time Machine, how can I stop the locking as well as unlock my files?

My iPad keeps locking itself every few seconds, any ideas how to fix it... Drives me crazy as the screen keeps going blank and I have to constantly put in my pass code every few seconds. Can someone help me out please. The pass code lock is set at 10 minutes but it's happening every few seconds :(
I've run into the issue and it seems to be related to an app not fully supporting the iOS you're on, the reboot doesn't usually solve it.
I've solved it in the following manner(s):
1) Backup the device to iCloud, then erase the iPad (Content and Network Settings).
2) Setup the iPad and choose to restore from iTunes/iCloud Backup (wherever you backed it up)
3) Perform any software updates
I have not tried simply performing the software updates (which may fix it, but if it doesn't you won't be able to perform the above steps).
