WRT54G2 Won't recognize internet

When my modem is plugged directly into my computer, I can get internet, but when I run it through the WRT54G2 it doesn't recognize the internet.  I've reset everything multiple times and it hasn't worked.  I've also upgraded the firmware.

  • Story App won't recognize internet

The desktop app is not recognizing the internet connection on my laptop. Story is on the list of programs allowed within the firewall, and it has allowed me to access and sync in the past. I was working offline for a while away from the internet and I would like to sync up the work now that I have we access again but the program simply won't recognize the connection. it gives me the message:
Your request cannot be completed because you have lost the internet connection. Please check your computer's settings and network connections and try again.
I'm writing from the same connection that it can't recognize. Seem to be able to log in through the web based app just fine.
    *** update***
After attempting to uninstall and reinstall in order to fix this connection issue, the desktop app will not reinstall. It uninstalled just fine but when attempting to download again it gives me the message: Error# 2032 and it's unable to install the program.
    Any ideas?

Had the same problem yesterday. Today it's gotten worse–I can't even sign in to offline mode! I spoke to a fellow named, Bhagawan, via chat. He gave me a link to adobe story's online sign-in page which wouldn't load on Safari or Chrome. Then he assisted me thusly:
"In this case, I'll help you with the Phone Support Number to fix this issue.
Here is the number: 800-833-6687, Monday-Friday, 5am-7pm PT".
So kind of him, seeing that it's Saturday. I would think Adobe, being a smart company, would understand that maybe screenwriters don't keep normal hours. Guess it is time to switch to Final Draft. This is not going to work.

  • Ipod won't recognize internet connection to update 1.2

I downloaded and updated to itunes 7 and the summary tab informs me that new software is available to update my ipod software. When I click on ipdate however it refuses to recognize my internet connection. I am online while this occurs. Since many of my video files just purchased seem to require this software (unless my tv shows won't sync for some other reason)this has been very fustrating.

    Hi,
I too am having this exact problem. Please let me know if you have gotten any assistance on this.

  • Windows Vista Won't Recognize Internet Networks

I just installed Windows Vista Home Basic on my MacBook Pro with Boot Camp. I have Road Runner wireless internet and my Mac side recognizes and connects all the time, but my Windows side doesn't recognize it or any other network. What's the problem and how can I fix it?
    Thanks,
    Sam

Uninstalled and reinstalled the new update. I even ran the setup as admin, but no dice. And there's no Java settings in the control panel either.

  • EA3500 - won't recognize internet

I just got my new cable internet service hooked up, but I can't get my wireless network working.  I have a Motorola Surfboard S6121 modem and a Linksys EA3500 wireless router.  It works fine when I plug the ethernet from the modem directly into my computer, but when I plug it into the router, it doesn't seem to recognize the connection.  The light by the "internet" plug lights up, and it broadcasts the network that I set up with the configuration software, but no internet.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Whew... after a few hours of messing with it, I finally got it working by manually setting the Static DNS servers in the Linksys config to the ones provided by my ISP (listed here for Comcast.)  Hope that's of use if anyone else has this problem.

  • Airport extreme won't recognize internet

My airport extreme continues to flash amber and the internet will not work but if I plug the ethernet cable directly from the router to my macbook, the internet works.

I have been having a problem with the extreme dropping the connection for the past two weeks and could not figure out the problem until I reinstalled the original wireless router and got that back up and running. I then did an install with the apple extreme setup disk and indicated I was "replacing my router" instead of "installing a new one". During the setup, the airport software will allow you to select which router you are replacing which is the old one I had currently running. Make sure you have the old router installed and connected to your modem. Once you do the replacement, you can change your ethernet wire from the modem to the apple extreme. Also make sure you reset the apple extreme before you start to do the replacing. Good luck

  • AEBS sends signal but won't recognize internet connection

There was a cut off in the power in my building the other night.  Since then, my AEBS has stopped recognizing the internet connection.  I ran a diagnostic but it indicated the AEBS was working fine, it was the internet connection that was the problem.
Via my provider's helpline, we needed to resort to setting up via PPoE and direct cable.  I'm now connected but as soon as I try to plug back into the AEBS, the signal drops and the PPoE no longer connects.  I have a wireless printer and a laptop set up as a wireless workstation so obviously would like the AEBS to work properly.
Any ideas on how to resolve this situation?
    Thanks very much.

  • New Time Capsule won't recognize internet connection.

My modem is working fine -- i'm on the internet via ethernet from the cable modem, through the new TC, to my laptop.
But I can't setup the TC because it's somehow convinced it's not connected to the internet.
Makes it seem like an ignorant little thing. All looks and no brains.
    Any tips?
    Thanks.

Cable modems come in various varieties.. and the TC does sometimes have issues.
    Tell us the exact model.
Some of the later Motorola cable modems.. get listed in this forum area fairly often as having issues.
15min off may not be long enough.. I would try 1hour .. and then overnight.
The TC must get the public IP on the WAN interface otherwise it will fail. That is with a pure modem.. and the TC must be in router mode.
Otherwise if the cable modem is a router then the TC needs to be bridged but from your description that is not the problem in your case.
You can ring apple support in your locality and they will talk you through the setup. At least for the first few weeks or if you have applecare on a computer then you will get support for longer period. If you are struggling with the setup ring apple as some TC do have issues.

  • I just bought a new pc and My laptop can connect to it but my airport utility won't recognize it. Even though it does connect to the internet about every 15 minutes the internet shuts off.

I just bought a new pc and for our internet connection we have an airport express. My laptop can connect to it but my airport utility won't recognize it. Even though it does connect to the internet about every 15 minutes the internet shuts off. What should I do?

If you've not yet tried, unpower the AppleTV for a minute or so and restart - this occasionally corrects issues.
If not and the software update seems to have caused an issue, go to the Settings menu and choose to Restore it (this will erase all settings) to reapply current firmware.
Alternatively try to do so via iTunes:
If you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen on your Apple TV - Apple Support

If you've forgotten the passcode to unlock your iPad then there are instructions on this page for how to reset the iPad (your iPad doesn't need to be connected to the internet) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1212
If your computer's iTunes isnt recognising the iPad when you connect it then have you got a recent version of iTunes installed on your computer ? There are also troubleshooting pages for a device not showing in iTunes on these pages :

Are you using the latest version (5.5.2) of the AirPort Utility to access the new 802.11n AirPort Extreme Base Station (AEBSn)? Your tagline has it that you are running OS X 10.4.6. You would need at least 10.5.7 to run the utility. I assume that you are running the latest utility on another device ... correct?
When having difficulties accessing the AirPort thru the AirPort Utility, try the following, in order checking accessibility with the utility after each step:
o Check the local connection. If you are trying to access the AirPort wirelessly, make sure that you are connected to its wireless network before running the AirPort Utility to administer it. If you are still unable to access it with the utility, temporarily connect your computer directly using an Ethernet cable to one of the base station's LAN ports.
o Power cycle the base station. Remove the power adapter's plug from the power outlet, and then, wait 15 seconds before plugging it back in.
o Perform a "factory default" reset on the base station.

  • If I have my iMac internet sharing turned on, the Airport Utility won't recognize the Airport Express I want to use to stream iTunes to my stereo.  When I turn the iMac internet sharing off, the Airport Express appears but calls itself a base station.

If I have my iMac internet sharing turned on, the Airport Utility won't recognize the Airport Express I want to use to stream iTunes to my stereo.  When I turn the iMac internet sharing off, the Airport Express appears but calls itself a base station.  I just bought the Airport Express and it's not clear how I should set up my System Preferences for Sharing.  Thx

Yes. Unfortunately the stereo is too far from the wired ethernet connection   My iMac is connected to the internet using an ethernet cable from the DSL modem (plugged into the wall, not wireless).  The Airport Express is plugged into an outlet 25' away from the iMac and connected to my speakers.  I've turned on the iMac Airport wireless Internet Sharing, hoping to stream iTunes to the Express connected to the stereo.  The iMac Airport picks up several neighborhood networks so I know it's working (and I connected my iPhone wifi to it just to check as well).
When I use Airport Utility to set up the Express, the only time Utility recognizes the Express is when the iMac Airport is off.  When I turn on the iMac Airport, the Airport Utility immediately loses the Express and asks to rescan.
Maybe that explains my problem better.

  • I just downloaded IOS 6.1.2 and it won't recognize my password.  I have reset it on my Apple ID and it still says it's incorrect.

I just downloaded IOS 6.1.2 on my iPhone 4  and it won't recognize my password.  I have reset it on my Apple ID and it still says it's incorrect.  What do I need to do?

There are two more things to try. If the first thing you try fails, try the next.
    Two Button Reset.
This is the least likely to result in loss of data.  Read that again, especially the phrase "least likley."
Unplug the phone form the computer.
Press and hold both the home and the sleep/wake buttons (ignore the red slider) until you see the silver Apple logo.
When you see the logo, let both buttons go.
If this worked, you should see an icon instructing you to connect to iTunes.  My guess is that the reset did not work.
    DFU Restore
This will very likley result in loss of data.
Plug the iPhone into the computer.
Ensure that it is running the lates version of iTunes and that it has access to the internet.
Press and hold both the home and sleep/wake buttons for exactly eight seconds.
Release only the sleep/wake button but continue to hold the home button for another five seconds.
Let go of the home button, then look at the computer screen for an instructional popup.
The popup should say "iTunes has detected a device in covery mode. . .(etc)"  Click accept to all boxes and let iTunes download and install all of the latest device Firmware and Software.
If no popup appears, repeat the above DFU instructions.  If you 've never done a DFU, it may take about three attempts to get the timing right.

  • HT1338 i upgraded from leopard to snow leopard ( i know i am really behind) but now iTunes won't recognize my iPhone. and the updates keep crashing when they are trying to install...help!

I upgraded from leopard to snow leopard. now iTunes won't recognize my iphone, and the upgrading the software keeps crashing.. help!!

Mountain Lion is OS X 10.8
    10.6 was called Snow Leopard.
To use iTunes 10.7 the following is required:
    Macintosh System Requirements
Mac computer with an Intel Core processor and 512MB of RAM
OS X version 10.6.8 or later
    Safari 4.0.3 or later
    400MB of available disk space
Broadband Internet connection to use the iTunes Store
    Do you use iTunes Match?
That way all of your songs would be matched with the master song on the iTunes servers independently of iTunes on your Mac or PC...
Look here for further information: http://www.apple.com/itunes/itunes-match/

  • Erased mac book pro (2009), how can i reinstall osx?  it won't recognize any old system disc

erased mac book pro (2009), how can i reinstall osx?  it won't recognize old system discs

    Did you try:
Install or Reinstall Mavericks or Mountain Lion from Scratch
Be sure you backup your files to an external drive or second internal drive because the following procedure will remove everything from the hard drive.
OS X Mavericks- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Erase and reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Erase and reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible
because it is three times faster than wireless.
If you don't have the original discs that came with the computer, then you can install the retail version of Snow Leopard:
You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store. Access to the App Store enables you to download Mavericks if your computer meets the requirements.
         Snow Leopard General Requirements
           1. Mac computer with an Intel processor
           2. 1GB of memory
           3. 5GB of available disk space
           4. DVD drive for installation
           5. Some features require a compatible Internet service provider;
               fees may apply.
           6. Some features require Apple’s iCloud services; fees and
               terms apply.
