Creation of table,views etc

Hi All,
I want step by step procedure to create table views etc etc.Can u please get back to me in detail procedure.
Thanks and Regards,
Jaya.

<b>Procedure to create a table.</b>
<b>The path</b>
Tools ABAP Workbench Development Dictionary or Transaction SE11 takes you to
the overview screen of the ABAP Dictionary.
2-1-1 To create table ZEMPLOYxx:
1) Mark Database table and enter table name ZEMPLOYxx in the corresponding
input field.
2) Choose Create.
3) Enter a short text in the maintenance screen for the table.
4) Choose delivery class A and mark Table maintenance allowed.
5) Now click on tab page Fields to go to the maintenance screen for the field
definitions. Enter the field names there (they need not lie in the customer
namespace).
6) Use the given data elements for fields Client, Carrier, First name, Last name
and Currency by entering the names of the data elements in column Field
type. Save your entries.
7) Create your own data elements for fields Personnel number, Department code,
Area and Salary. Enter a name (Z<object>xx) for the data element in column
Field type. Double-click on the name of the data element. The data element
definition appears.
8) Enter a short text (component of the F1 help). Now click on tab page Field
label and store the texts for the field labels there.
9) You also have to assign the data element a technical description (domain).
Click on tab page Definition and enter a name (Z<object>xx) for your domain
there. If the domain is predefined, activate the data element and return to the
maintenance screen for the table fields (F3 or ).. Otherwise double-click on
the domain name. The domain definition appears.
10) Define the short description, data type (for example NUMC) and number of
characters (for example 10) there. Activate the domain.
11) Navigate back one screen (F3 or ) to the data element definition and
activate your data element.
12) Navigate back one more screen to the field definition. Start again there with 7)
until all the table fields are defined. Save your table.
13) Define the reference table and reference field for the salary field. Double-click
on the field name and enter the following in the next dialog box:
Reference table:
ZEMPLOYxx
Reference field: Currency
14) Define the key fields for table ZEMPLOYxx. Fields Client, Carrier and
Personnel number uniquely identify an entry. They must therefore be marked
as key fields. You can do this by marking the Key column following the field
name. The key fields must be at the beginning of the field list in this order.
15) Activate the table. The maintenance screen for the technical settings appears
automatically:
Since the contents of table ZEMPLOYxx do not change frequently, you must
choose data class APPL0 (master data). The expected number of records in
table ZEMPLOYxx is 60,000, so you must choose size category 2. The table should not be either buffered or logged.
Save the technical settings. Go back to the maintenance screen of the table (F3 or ). The table is activated.
<b>Hope this is helpful, Do reward.</b>

  • 919: Column count replaces query count when opening table/view/etc tab

    I don't know whether this is intentional or not, but I have just noticed that opening a table or view tab from the connection pane replaces the existing query count message with the query count from the column query. For example, opening a table tab for a table with 14 columns sets the query count message to "All Rows Fetched: 14".
    This is not a big issue, but adds to the aggravation of only having the latest query count message, rather than one for each SQL Worksheet.
    Is it possible to find somewhere on the SQL Worksheet that we can put it's query count message (for example to the right of the execution time)?

    I am happy for querying the columns of a table/view/etc to display the fetch count of the columns, although I am rarely interested in how many columns there are in a table/view/etc.
    However, I already find it frustrating that the query count is only for the last fetch - it can be very useful having the query count for last fetch per SQL Worksheet. Having the last fetch overwritten by opening a table tab only makes it more frustrating.

  • Make tables, views etc, aviable for public users, how could sql look like?

    Hey specialists,
    I produced under my username several tables, views and sequenzes. How could sql or Psql look like to create for all items a public synonym.
    where could I read more information about giving privilegs for tables etc to other users, for instance in dba-studio
    regards
    robert

    Hi!
    Create a sql script for sql*plus like:
    set head off echo off feedback off pagesize 999 line 120 trimsp on
    spool crepsn.sql
    select 'create public synonym ' || object_name || ' for '|| object_name || ';' || chr(10)
    from  user_objects
    where object_type in ( 'TABLE', 'VIEW', 'SEQUENCE', 'PACKAGE', 'PROCEDURE', 'FUNCTION' )
    and   object_name not like 'BIN$%'
    and   object_name not in ( select synonym_name
                               from   sys.dba_synonyms
                               where  owner = 'PUBLIC'
                               and    synonym_name = object_name
                               and    table_owner =  user )
    order by object_type, object_name
    spool off
    prompt creating Public Synonyms
    set termout on feedback on
    @crepsn
    set echo offThis creates public synonyms for the given object types of objects the current user is the owner of.
    If you get an error that a public synonym is already defined, the obectname
    is already in use by another user in the database.
    After this you have to give other users / public access to your objects via grants.

  • Is there any software which displays all form objects - tables, views, etc?

    Dear friends,
    I need to know if we have some software product which opens an Oracle form and shows all objects (tables, views, procedures, functions, and so on) accessed by it.
    For each form, this software should show all operations made in each table - that is, whether form creates, updates, reads or deletes data in each table accessed by the form.
    If there's any software which makes such analysis, please let me know. I'd rather be downloading free software, but a trial version or a paid one can be considered as well.
    Best regards,
    Franklin

    Hello all,
    sorry, I don't know whether my 1st message was clear, so I am trying to rewrite it.
    I'm thinking about a software which creates a database objects list report; this report shows all database objects being accessed by the form - for example, it can list all tables being accessed by the form, showing a CRUD (Create, Read, Update and Delete) for each accessed table, or list all packages being executed by the same form, and so on. For example:
    Form: CLI0001.FMB
    Package -> Operation
    PCK_ACCOUNTS -> E (Execute; but that's a suggestion, we can have 'R' instead)
    Table -> Operation
    ACCOUNTS -> CR (Create + Read)
    PAYMENTS -> D (Delete)
    Sequence -> Operation
    SEQ_ACCOUNTS -> R (Read)
    View -> Operation
    VW_CLIENTES -> R (Read)
    If there's any software which can do it, please let me know. Thanks in advance.
    Best regards,
    Franklin

  • How does one copy tables, views, etc. from one database to another?

    I do not have a strong DBA background but have been placed in charge of updating and migrating a number of tables and views across multiple databases.
    For the future I need a better workflow than exporting and importing tables to/from .csv files and copy and pasting the SQL from each individual view.
    Can somebody point me in the right direction? I'm happy to do some reading but have no idea where to look.

    The Export utility provides a simple way for you to transfer data objects between Oracle databases, even if they reside on platforms with different hardware and software configurations.
    When you run Export against an Oracle database, objects (such as tables) are extracted, followed by their related objects (such as indexes, comments, and grants), if any. The extracted data is written to an Export file.
    To use Export, you must run the script catexp.sql or catalog.sql (which runs catexp.sql) after the database has been created,Ensure there is sufficient disk or tape storage to write the export file,Verify that you have the required access privileges.
    Interactive Export Prompts
    If you prefer to let Export prompt you for the value of each parameter, you can use the following syntax to start Export in interactive mode:
    exp username/passwordExport will display commonly used parameters with a request for you to enter a value. This method exists for backward compatibility.
    let me know if you have any further query!

  • Not showing tables, views, ... in vs2010

    Hi,
    I installed ODP.net + ODT (11i) for use with vs2010 & oracle 10.02.0010 (to be upgraded to oracle 11).
    The product installed just fine, I can connect to the database using ODP and ODBC.
    However, when connecting with ODP in vs2010 I can't see any tables, views or stored procedures (can't see anything really). When using ODBC, everything works: I see all the tables, views etc that are in the database, and I can query them.
    I also tried to execute a query using the ODP.net, and it gave me: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist.
    I did a search on the forums, but none of the solutions provided, changed anything for me.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    Edited by: user13493229 on 18-mei-2011 11:05

    Hi,
    First of all, make sure you see "ODP.NET" in the connection dialog on Server Explorer.
    Next, check the "Filters" tab of the connection dialog. By default we block public synonyms and schema objects that you do not own.
    If you still can't see objects, then most likely your DBA has not given you enough privileges to use these tools.
    Try looking at the advice I gave in the following thread explaining how to turn on ODP.NET tracing. First look to see the SQL involved in the ORA-942.
    Then look at the other SQL we issue and see why you are not able to get any rows from it.
    vs2010 ORA-00942 table or view does not exist

  • Tables/views/Procedures/functions etc are not showing up in tree view, but can execute select * on dba_objects (can view in DBVisualizer)

    There was one other thread from years ago detailing this same problem. The only clue was to check whether select all privs were enabled for the user on dba_objects. They are for the user accessing the system. In fact, all tables/views/procs/funcs can be viewed in the tree view of DBVisualizer.  For whatever reason, OSD does not show anything.
    I'd appreciate any clues! Thank you!
    OSD Version  Version 4.1.0.18
    OS: Windows 7/64
    Java: 1.8.0
    Connecting to Oracle 11g 11.2.0.3.0

    Thank you, Gary.
    I updated the post with the version info. I did not explicitly install this JDBC driver, so whatever the OSD came with?  Unless it is using whatever is installed on my machine, in which case would be the thin driver.
    I did check out that post, and I appreciate you sharing it. I did click the 'include synonyms' filter, but behavior remained unchanged.
    I would prefer to use OSD, and that is what our dev team was expecting to use, but we just can't see the information.  We are using an ID that does not 'own' those tables, per se.  But, why would DBVisualizer show these tables, when OSD does not?

    Hi,
    Try to use some function module which will convert query data into flat tables. (eg., RS_VC_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA_FLAT).
    Hope this solves your issue.

  • Table view in EHP1 CRM 7.0

    How to create a table view in ehp1 CRM.
    Is it the same way by creating a view and adding value node /model node then selecting view as table view with congigurable mode?

    Hi Anita,
    As per your requirement, AET table enhancement will be best suited to it.
    Use the help.sap.com link i gave in earlier reply to know more about  AET table enhancements.
    Now to get on to this task ,
    1) Use transaction AXTSYS and create an entry for Z component, give a name say ZAET_TBLEXT.
    and Save. The AET Table extension, then will use this component by default( if you select the radio button there) to create the views. Remember, just give any name you desire for the component. You dont need to create this componenet. AET extension wizard will create the component automatically.
    2) Open the overview page on which you would like to have the tableview as an assignment block. Since its a compititor info, i assume you want to place it on a BP/Account/Prospect. Competitor Overview Page or Opportunity Overview Page. Now chose the config button and once the Assignment blocks are highlighted, select the Header View( Compititor header or Opportunity header view depending on the overview page you are in) and config tool will open. Use the Display Enhancement button or create enhancement button and another popup will open which display the enhancements if any,
    3) On this Pop up you will see the AET table extensions assignment block. Use the Add table button. Follow the wizard and create the table, mention fields, translations etc. Also mention it as 1:n relation and so the table view. Chose the Standard buttons so you get all action buttons as well as inser, editlist, delete buttons etc.
    Once done, save and generate. This creates the view and also adds the component usage on overviewpage.
    Now all you need to do is just configure the overviewpag to pull the new tableview assignment block from Available to Displayed blocks.
    Note :
    1) this creates a Ztable , name same as mentioned/defaulted while AET table enahncement
    2) this create Z BOL entity with 1:n relation with Access Entity of OverviewPage , for example, BuilHeader if account overview page or BTAdminH if Opportunity overview page.
    3) creates BOL strucutre, handler class etc on its own.
    4) You do not need to do any coding,
    Thus in half an hour, you are done with Table view enhancement with Z table based entities.
    Before EhP1, we had to extend the BT/BP model with ZBOL and had to do a lot of thigs on our own. Almost 2 days job for an advance developer which is reduced to 15-20 minutes with zero coding required.
    If you have a sandbox or IDES system, i would recommand you to try it there frst, get confident and then do development on your development system.
    Remember ->
    1) AET Enhancement tool has to be started from WEB UI - which is generally runs on Customizing client, but creating AET table and enhancements is Workbench task. So if your customizing client is locked for workbench developments, then You must run the WEBUI on your workbench client ( use transaction wui ). It does not make any difference as far as development is concerned because your development its pure Workbench activity. later, you configure the Overview Page to pull the AET table view on your customizing client.
    2) Be confident and have well determined about the table design & about your table view design like the fields you need etc. because once you add the fields and mention the field type like Numeric, indicator,text etc, you can not change it later once the Tableview is generated. You can add more fields later and you can delete fields too but you can not change their type later.
    All the best.
    Thanks & Regards
