WS_SDK XI 3.1 Query Scheduler Queue

We've a single XI 3.1 server running a single scheduler which processes one scheduled report at a time. Is it possible using the WS-SDK to query the scheduler queue to see how many reports are currently in the queue for process (i.e. those that should have been run, but are queued due at a report running at the moment)?

it is not possible to access the scheduler queue using WS or any SDK that's exposed. When a schedule is to be run CMS informs Job Server with the scheduling details, the schedule job goes from : pending - in process\running - complete ( success or failed). What you can possibly do is query all schedule instances that are in "pending state". Typically a report would be pending if: is is waiting on one of the events or it is a recurring schedule event and the next schedule time is not yet reached. Also it is possible that a report changes it status from pending - in process\running even before your query finishes running and you retrieve all its results, so ity would be tough to track it.
In short it wont be possible to retrieve the scheduler queue details using a query.

When using UCCX stats is posible to get position in queue BUT since agents can share skill from different queues, real time scheduler queue can be much longer.
It is posible to get the real position of that call on the scheduler queue?
For example:
Queue A, Skill A, 20 calls
Queue B, Skill B, 20 Calls
Agent 1 have Skills A and Skill B
Next Call on Queue A:
Position in queue acording to UCCX step is 21 but REAL position in scheduler is 41 since UCCX uses FIFO among queues.

Yes, on this example adding both queues would do it, i put it only to ilustrate the useless of the get position in queue and the need of something more general.
In my project, skill are not evenly distribute between agents and agents logins and logout all the time. Because of that it is not as simple as adding severals queues together. A function should be provided that gives the real time position of the call at anytime in the scheduler and not the simple position in one queue.

SAP Query - scheduled and emailed?

SAP Query - is there anything on the SAP ECC side similar to BW that allows you to schedule a query and have it broadcast to an email or ftp sight for it to be displayed?

Hi,
as described above you can schedule a query. To distribute the result to various receivers use SBWP t-code and create a distribution list containing the receivers (e-mail adresses,...).
Assign this distribution list to the job scheduled in SM37 (button "spool list recipients").

Message Status "Scheduled", Queue Status "Queue Stopped"

Hi friends,
My scenario is from Peoplesoft -> XI -> BI
Message has reached BI, but in SXMB_MONI, its showing Message Status as "Scheduled" and Queue Status "Queue Stopped".
How to proceed further ? How can I start that queue ?

SQ01 query schedule in Background

Hi,
I created Query using SQ01 and I would like to schedule daily in background and outpu file will be stored in SAP BW server.
1. Using SM36 schedule the job and output format as File store and file name : /data/xfer/test1 , Data format = DAT , Encoding = ' '
system is giving error message please choose new name /path then I gave the file name first and path this time no error but file
was not transfered to specified path.
Do we need to follow any specific guide lines when we transfer file to BW server path.

I think you can download output in Excel to Presentation server. The presentation/GUI layer doesn't exist in background job, the system will not be able to connect to presentation server.

try the following:
1. enter transaction SQ01 and select your query
2. then go to the menu Query > More functions > Display report name
3. with this you'll get the ABAP report name
4. now just enter transaction SM36 to schedule the job based on this report name

If you are on ver 3.5 or above, you can use the Information Broadcasting feature of BW to schedule your queries.
If you are on an earlier version, then use the Reporting Agent feature to schedule your reports. If you search the forum then you'll find a lot of posts and links on how to go about doing report scheduling using both methods.

Query Schedule Report

Hello.
I got the error below in the scheduled report.
When I create text with no HTML programming the system sends the email without attachments, when I create programming with HTML body it reports me the following error and does not send the email.

Query regarding Queue block

Hi Experts,
The BASIS team has configured the CCMS alert for XBTI* and XBTO* queues in development system.
Hence we need to test the same.
Possibilities tried:
1. Huge payload
2. Stop and start of BPE this blocks the XBQ which is not needed as of now
3. Deregistering the specific queues. The queus is set to ready state until we register the same. Once registered the queue block is cleared. Hence this option is not helpful.
Kindly let us know the various ways to block the queues in PI.

If you have any interfaces using EOIO queues then try failing the same at mapping level and check...
Another option is try failing the interface at mapping level by sending some invalid data for normal interfaces (EO) only and check...but in this case runtime may not block the queues all the times only few times and few circumstances it will block the queues...

SMQS scheduler: Queues stuck / block situation

Hi All
we have a Q stuck situation in ECC6.0 (ISU) with the Q name R3AUBUPA*, destination CRM, has status RUNNING. The implication of this is all other Q's get blocked and the this impacts the business operation. Currently we unregister and register the Q's and this clears the blocked Q and the backlogs.
1) The question is anybody aware of a know issue on SMQS or is there a setting / parameter that needs to be set/unset or parameter values that needs tweaking.
2) Also currently we have a dedicated resource to minitor this and address the issue, wonder if anyone has setup an alert in this context ?
Note -
a) All Q's are registered
b) Except for the workflow Q's all are type 3 connections.
c) the Q's are not confined to a server as that is not an option the client desires.

Txn:SMQS is used to de-rgister or register the destination.If you dereister/register a destination then data will not/will to that
destination.

Project Server 2010 - Update Scheduled Queue job failed with error message" Error no 131- AssignmentAlreadyExists"

When I tried to update the schedule of the project , the job failed with the error message " AssignmentAlreadyExists". I further looked into the ULS logs but it wasn't that helpful.
This is the message I found in ULS logs "type = UpdateScheduledProject failed at Message 5 and is blocking the correlation Errors: AssignmentAlreadyExists,Leaving Monitored Scope (FillTypedDataSet -- MSP_WEB_SP_QRY_ReadTimeSheetAssignmentsAndCustomFieldData).
Execution Time=398.730006187937"
Pplease help me to understand the root cause of this problem.
I have verified all the assignments in the plan and I did not find any duplicates.

Ordered queue?

Hello, could somebody please advice - I need to build some kind of scheduled queue, where records have a time to execute defined in milliseconds. So a key will be a number, which defines a time stamp, and I would like to open cursor and first record will be a record where the key value is minimal, then next record will have value next to minimal and so on. I saw it is possible to do similar things with Sequence, but in my case I can insert one record with key 17, and another record with key 5, and when I open cursor and query for next record - cursor should return record with key 5 - not 7.

The short answer is you can use a sequence or a timestamp in a format that you decide works best based on your queries. The keys will be stored in sorted order so that should give you what you want. JE automatically determines the record's proper placement in the database's internal B-Tree using whatever key and data comparison functions that are available to it.
When you create a cursor and traverse it, you can go in sorted order. For more information:

Powershell get scheduled task jobs on remote computer

I couldn't find any answer or question about this, I need to query scheduled jobs on server (2008R2) with name which contains variables.
I can get list of jobs, but I don't know how to display only that I need. For example, there is job $something.$RandomText.$RandomNumbers, So I'm trying to filter jobs by name ($something).
Script which I found is:

Scheduled report never leaves 'scheduled' status

I have a BIP report that is supposed to burst to three pdf files. I schedule it to run, it hits the scheduler queue, and it never leaves the queue. The Status column shows 'Scheduled' and it just sits there - never completes, never fails. I can click the Refresh icon for hours before I kill it. So there's no error thrown at all. It just sits there and stares at me.
Any thoughts of where to look first?

Nevermind. I stopped and restarted every single OBIEE service and the problem went away.
