XCM Pricing During Configuration

Does anyone knows what configurations needs to be done (XCM???) in order to display pricing during production configuration?

Hi,
in the XCM under the Customers application in the IPC you need to define the JCO .
and also in the XCM Config for shop basket you need to place force IPC as false i think. just try it .

Error during configuration process while installing obiee 11.1.1.7.0 in windows server 2012

HI..
I'm having an issue while installing obiee 11g(11.1.1.7.0) in windows server 2012 and using the database as ms sql server 2008. During configuration process after the installation process is completed , here the process is stopped at "Step:executing opmnctl start configuration_obisch1" status "failed"
Here is the error:

    opmnctl task failed
    Step Executing: opmnctl start coreapplication_obisch1 failed
    Configuration Action "Executing opmnctl start coreapplication_obisch1 " has failed. please check log files...

Installer file size is:
Size: *1.23 GB (1,323,085,837 bytes).*
Size on disk: *1.23 GB (1,323,089,920 bytes).*
I tested also disabling antivirus on my PC and disconnect the power cord before starting the installation of JDeveloper. In both tests the result was the same.
Some additional recommendations to solve this case.

Automatic comm channel when assigning Business system during configuration

Hi all,
In scenario file to file during Configuration,
During assigning business system there is a check box:
 'Create communication channels automatically' 
I am planning to use File adapter on both receiver and sender side..
The question is Do I check this box or not ? If I do check this box it creates for me HTTP adapter ...Do I need it or not? I am clearly only using file adapter

U cannot use it in ur scenario. This function is supported for the following adapter types:
- XI Adapter
- HTTP Adapter
- IDoc Adapter
- RFC Adapter

Add user validation in create user form during Configure User Object Classe

Hi friends,
I like to add a user validation code (javaScript or PL/SQL) into create user form during Configure User Object Classes.
Is any way to pick user information and role assignment for validation in Portal side?
or pre event in OID provisioning befor loading LDAP?
We like to make a rols assignment validation. But portal does not have this function.

after study, portal form --LOVGroupSearch take a role search and display user name for select role.
Who know we are can find system object LOVGroupSearch in portal or OID?

consultant use the parent company's organization structure and with little modification in the configuration implement the SAP. That project is called as the Rollout project.
You can take Example of hul (hindusthan unilever limited). At First hul has implemented SAP for 4 palnt and later they extended SAP to all the Remaining plants with different business processes thru Rollout.

What product specifically are you trying to install?
General recommendations:
Wait a while on this configuration screen, maybe its working but just taking a long time?
Disable any anti-virus or security software which might be running in the background and try running the installation again.
Try starting the setup by right-clicking on the installer and choosing Run as Administrator

Web client configuration assistent failed during configuration

Hello,
I am trying to install OCS on RH ES 3.0.
Infrastructure, Information storage and middle tier are on the same machine.
During middle tier installtion , i have selected following components at a time oracle files,oracle calender assiatent, web conferencing, portal.
But during configuration "webclient configuration assistent" and "infrasturucture phase 2 assistent" failed.
can anyone help me, for solving this problem ASAP.

Copying XCM Customer Application Configuration

Hi,
is there a way to copy an XCM customer application configuration from one environment to another. We want to copy the development configuration to QA and production without redoing the configuration in every environment as this could easily lead to errors.

After moving these htmlb.ear and htmlb.sda into a temp folder. I tried to deploy it using SDM.
SDM complains that it already have deployed version of both of them.
But, I am not able to trace them any where else under
C:/usr/sap/J2E/JC00/j2ee/cluster/server0/apps/sap.com/
Or ~/server0/bin/ext folders.
Even I thought of removing and install it again. But, SDM complains that I have to remove the whole ISA packge.
Benny, Is'nt J2EE server can excess SDM repository.
What's the right way of deploying it.

Watching price condition in sales order during configuration product

Hello evrybody,
I have a little question about product configuration during the sales order creation.
I have done all my configuration structure and I have add prices on certain characteristics.
However, I would like to see the price of each value of characteristic when I click on the matchcode to select the component what I need (column Condition scheduled to dysplay "Pricing information on a value").
Can you help me please ?

Hi Rieu,
I believe you are referring F4 to display the prices values instead of the conditions. You need two notes to avail the functionality. Notes 1259021 (VC ) and 1267335 (SD). If you want the values to be shown then please ensure that c_condition_price is set to X in INCLUDE LCEI0FS4

Manual Pricing for configured materials in Sales Order

We use variant config for our goods produced and the pricing results from what is configured. Thsi works fine.
However, occasionally there is a need to replace this pricing with a manual price entered into the Amount column on the order line. The PR00 condition comes in OK but we find that if changes are made then the configured prices are re-applied as well so the order line ends up with 2 types of pricing in effect.
How can I stop this happening i.e. to get SAP to use only the manual pricing if a price is entered into the Amount field?

Are you sure that you are using PR00 for configurable mat, Ideally it should be VA00
Leaving that aside, if you keep the condition type as Manual entry as priority or No restrictions, in the Manual entries, then when the automatic entries are overwritten by manual entries, only one record will exist and the automatically updated record will no more be in the screen. Please try it.
There is also a OSS note for this, though I dont knwo the number. You can try for it.

Capture re pricing during order creation/change

I have to differentiate between standard pricing and re-pricing ( when user has pressed update button on the conditions tab ) in a sales order.
How and where can i get this information during order creation / change.

2)Check the URL , give correct Exchange Server Name/IP address.

HT1338 os x 10.5.4, update search, updates to 10.5.8, downloads, restarts, freezes during configuration. i'm not a techie, please answer a fix for this layperson.

after a software update search an update is found, it is downloaded, restarts computer, but during the configuration it freezed at about 15% done. how can i update? i'm a non-techie.

Some general advice on updating Leopard:
It is worth noting that it is an extreme rarity for updates to cause upsets to your system, as they have all been extensively beta-tested, but they may well reveal pre-existing ones, particularly those of which you may have been unaware. If you are actually aware of any glitches, make sure they are fixed before proceeding further.
So before you do anything else:
If you can, make a full backup first to an external hard disk. Ideally you should always have a bootable clone of your system that enables you to revert to the previous pre-update state.
Turn off sleep mode for both screen and hard disk.
Disconnect all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
1. Repair Permissions (in Disk Utility)
2. Verify the state of your hard disk using Disk Utility. If any faults are reported, restart from your install disk (holding down the C key), go to Disk Utility, and repair your startup disk. Restart again to get back to your startup disk.
At least you can now be reasonably certain that your system does not contain any obvious faults that might cause an update/upgrade to fail.
3. Download the correct version of the COMBO update from the Apple download site.
The Combo updater of Leopard 10.5.8 can be found here:

If you prefer to download updates via Software Update in the Apple menu (which would ensure that the correct version for your Mac was being downloaded), it is not recommended to allow SU to install major (or even minor) updates automatically. Set Software Update to just download the updater without immediately installing it. There is always the possibility that the combined download and install (which can be a lengthy process) might be interrupted by a power outage or your cat walking across the keyboard, and an interrupted install will almost certainly cause havoc. Once it is downloaded, you can install at a time that suits you. You should make a backup copy of the updater on a CD in case you ever need a reinstall.

Using the Combo updater ensures that all system files changed since the original 10.5.0 are included, and any that may have been missed out or subsequently damaged will be repaired. The Delta updater, although a temptingly smaller download, only takes you from the previous version to the new one, i.e. for example from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8. Software Update will generally download the Delta updater only. The preferable Combo updater needs to be downloaded from Apple's download site.
Now proceed as follows:
4. Close all applications and turn off energy saving and screensaver.
5. Unplug all peripherals except your keyboard and mouse.
6. Install the update/upgrade. Do not under any circumstances interrupt this procedure. Do not do anything else on your computer while it is installing. Be patient.
7. When it ask for a restart to complete the installation, click restart. This can take longer than normal, there are probably thousands of files to overwrite and place in the correct location. Do nothing while this is going on.
8. Once your Mac is awake, repair permissions again, and you should be good to go!
If your Mac seems slightly sluggish or ‘different’, perform a second restart. It can’t hurt and is sometimes efficacious! In fact a second restart can be recommended.
9. Open a few of your most used applications and check that all is OK. In this connection please remember that not all manufacturers of third party applications and plug-ins, add-ons, haxies etc, will have had time to do any necessary rewrites to their software to make them compliant with the latest version of your operating system. Give them a week or two while you regularly check their websites for updates.
N.B. Do not attempt to install two different updates at the same time as each may have different routines and requirements. Follow the above recommendations for each update in turn.

Input Managers from third parties can do as much harm as good. They use a security loophole to reach right into your applications' code and change that code as the application starts up. If you have installed an OS update and Safari is crashing, the very [i]first[/i] thing to do is clear out your InputManagers folders (both in your own Library and in the top-level /Library), log out and log back in, and try again.
So, disable all third party add-ons before updating Safari, as they may not have been updated yet for the new version. Add them back one by one. If something goes awry, remove it again and check on the software manufacturer's website for news of an update to match your version of Safari.
Most errors reported here after an update are due to an unrepaired or undetected inherent fault in the system, and/or a third party add-on.

To reiterate, Input Managers reach right into an application and alter its code. This puts the behavior of the affected application outside the control and responsibility of its developers: a recipe for problems. That's not to say that issues absolutely will ensue as a result of Input Managers, but you, as a user, must decide. If the functionality of a specific Input Manager or set thereof is really important to you, you may well choose to assume the associated risk.
Again, the advice is to remove all Input Managers from the following directories:
/Library/InputManagers
~/Library/InputManagers
especially prior to system updates (they can always be added back one-by-one later).
