XI Unit Test Not Equal IDOC SEG

I have made a mapping change in XI. When I unit test, within XI only, on the test tab, my results are what I want, which includes an extra segment appended to the idoc.
However, my end-to-end test, meaning XI into SAP the additional segment is not being added to the incoming idoc?
Am I missing an additional config change somewhere, because I do not see why the added segment is not making it to the idoc.

Actually I get the desired result - within XID only - by copying in the actual payload for this one file into the test tab as SRC in XID where my mapping change exists.
It creates the desired Tender segment in the Retail Line Item. Also, we currently create tender segments for other scenarios, just not this one. So I checked IDX2 anyway, and if course, as I expected it is there.
I just expect BW to receive this file with the tender segment added per my unit test in XID, but it is not there in BW when it picks up the file via FTP...Thank-You.

I am getting below error message while running unit test for ASMX web service

In your web application root, can you find a file named 'web.config.backup'?

Need PR Unit should not equal to Material Base UOM

Hi All,
I want to maintain Base UOM as 'PC' in material master. Then i want 'BAG' unit should appear while creating PR & PO.
here 1 BAG = 100 PC .
After i maintained 'PC' uom in material master, the uom 'PC' is appearing automatically while creating PR . This field is not editable in PR.
Please advice what i should do so that i can maintain PC as Base unit in material master & i can use unit 'BAG' for PR & PO.

Hi,
Maintain the order unit as BAG in purchasing view of material master.
Maintain conversion factor 1 BAG=100PC in the "Additional Data>>Unit of measure" of material master
Create PR - here, the Unit of Measure will be shown as PC only. You cannot modify that in PR.
Next step, convert PR to PO in ME21N. There system will automatically pick the order unit as BAG and shown in PO item. It will also do quantity conversion to BAG as per conversion factor defined in material master.

Does new type of unit testing in Flash Builder4 support ANT task ?

I am using the new way of creating unit tests following this page http://help.adobe.com/en_US/flashbuilder/using/WS27ECA937-059A-4308-A2E2-F3A3AAB64337.html #WSF04FE993-D0BA-4a2b-BDF1-8B8ABF22E448, which is really easier and more efficient than old ways.
But I then found that the old ANT task "flexunit" for running unit test not working any more. So if I want to get the results of unit testing from a CI server, how could I do now?

@Michael Lin89 - You can find information on using FlexUnit4 via Ant @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Ant_Task. There has been a lot of information collected on the wiki as well related to the CI process. You can see that info @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Continuous_Integration_Support. There are also an assortment of community projects built to work with FlexUnit which you can check out on the community page @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=Community_Projects. There is also a sample project for working with CI, Ant, Maven, and a few other technologies @ http://docs.flexunit.org/index.php?title=CI_Sample_Project_Information.
Hope this helps to fill in the gaps as to what support we offer in terms of Ant and CI.

BeginTimer and EndTimer Not Working In Data-Driven Unit Test Using DataSource Attribute

Using VS2012 Ultimate I have a unit test with the <DataSource> attribute which passes in values from a CSV file. I'm wrapping the unit test in a load test. I expect a Transaction to appear in the load test results for each row in my DataSource
due to the BeginTimer and EndTimer methods in the unit test. However, I only get 1 transaction, with response time roughly equal to the overall test time. For example, if each row in the DataSource takes 1 second to process, then my test time and
transaction time would be about 10 seconds with 10 rows in the CSV file.
I've created a load test with Constant Load Pattern, 1 user, and 1 test iteration. Seeing the behavior described above.
I have tried with and without and the check for $LoadTestUserContext. I'm only using that because I get a NotSupportedException when running the unit test on its own. I can't believe this bug still
exists, but that is another topic.
Note also that I cannot see the Debug output in the Output window in VS2012.
Any tips? Thank you.

LABVIEW.LIB was not called from a LabVIEW process when creating unit tests

We are developing a DLL to be integrated in LabVIEW using CLFs. So far we have the system working, but we wanted to create some unit tests in C as part of our release process. The problem is that when I link labview.lib in VS C++ and then call the EXE generated I get an error saying: "LABVIEW.LIB was not called from a LabVIEW process". As mentioned in http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371361J-01/lvexcodeconcepts/debug_dlls_and_dll_calls/:
"Calling the shared library from another C program is also another way to debug the shared library. By calling the shared library from another C program, you have a means of testing the shared library independent of LabVIEW, thus helping you to identify any problems, sooner."
Some of our functions, however, use LabVIEW specific instructions and we would like to test them in a realistic environment (i.e., calling to the actual functions instead of creating stubs).
Is there any workaround to this problem?

Welcome to the NI Discussion Forums! I have a couple of questions to better determine the issue here:
1. What is the LabVIEW version that you are using?
2. Does your DLL uses Serial Compatibility VIs? If so, try using your development on NI-VISA instead of Serial.
3. Are you using a Code Interface Node (CIN)? If you do, I see that from the help file you would need to compile the code for the new platform. Also, please remember that functions specifc to CINs (such as SetCINArraySize) will not work in a DLL.
4. Be sure to include the header files in your program, like extcode.h. Please follow this white paper to link labview.lib to your program, or follow the Alternate Method.

Entries & Leaving Report displays data of selected not equal to org unit

Hi,
While using the standard report Entries & Leaving; in the selection criteria when I put
NOT EQUAl TO(options) in front of the org unit and and mention the corresponding personnel area and entry date, the report still displays the employees with that particular org unit.
Why is this happening? Any idea how to correct this?

I am using standard adhoc query report Entries& Leaving.( S_PH9_46000223 ). There on the selection screen I enter the following values:
Personnel Area: GLLV
Org Unit : #(Not Equal To) 60000047
Entry Date : 1.11.2008 to 28.11.2008> F8
Now the report also displays the employees which belong to o 60000047 which is incorrect.
This is the exact problem and how to rectify this. Please suggest

Custom Infotype not visible in Unit Testing Client

I created Infotype in client 110.I can see IT 9000 in Development client 110.But It is not in the client 120 which is Unit test client.I think Infotypes are client independent....Then why can not I see in client 120.

I guess you are refering to the client of the same server....
Since the infotypes are not client independent , you have to go to transaction
SCC1 of unit testing client and copy both customizing and workbench request.
After this you can view the infotype.

Do u mean that in ur file to idoc scenario, the no of messages sent by file is not equal to no of idocs generated? If yes, then first check in tcode sxmb_moni at XI for presence of message and check for error there

Unit Tests VS 2013 - Manifest references file 'vstest.executionengine.appcontainer.exe' which is not part of the payload

I am working on a Windows 8.1 Store App and I created Unit Tests. Last week everything worked out fine, but since a few days I am not able to build my Unit-Test-Projects.
Every Unit-Test-Project has the following two errors:
Manifest references file 'vstest.executionengine.appcontainer.exe' which is not part of the payload. [PathToTest].Logic.Tests\Package.appxmanifest
Manifest references file 'vstest.executionengine.appcontainer.x86.exe' which is not part of the payload. [PathToTest].Logic.Tests\Package.appxmanifest
I already tried to re-install VS 2013 with no success.
Any ideas?

Warning in SLIN:'Does not test for equality'

In "SELECT SINGLE ...", the WHERE condition for the key field "MATNR" does not
test for equality. Therefore, the single record in question may not be unique.
for the following code

Unit Test Variable Substitution in PL/SQL User Vailidation code not running

I am using new Unit Test Feature in SQL Developer 2.1.0.62.
I have created a test implemented to test a function. The function has a VARCHAR2 parameter as input and returns a BINARY_INTEGER.
I would like to perform 'Process Validation instead of specifying an explicit 'Result'. The check box 'Test Result' is unchecked.
I have seen in the doc. that I can use substitution variables in my user defined PL/SQL code. I try
IF {RETURNS$} < 0
THEN ...
but I always get the error
ERROR
<RETURN> : Expected: [Any value because apply check was cleared], Received: [-103]
Validation User PL/Sql Code failed: Non supported SQL92 token at position: 181: RETURNS$
Obviously, the program doesn't recognize {RETURN$}.
Am I missing something?

Hi all,
I have installed the latest version of SQL Developer (2.1.1) that fixed the problem - must have been a bug.
The only problem was that I got an ORA-904 TEST_USER_NAME... error. I export my tests, dropped the repository, created a new one and reimported everything. Now it works as it should.

Unit Test Validation for Output Ref Cursor Not Working

Here is the problem:
I have a stored procedure as follows:

Try explicity declaring the ref cursor instead of using a bind variable, something like (untested)

end;Alternately, in SQL*PLUS use the DEFINE command to ste a named bind variable to type REFCURSOR and use the named bind variable in your test

Create Unit Test wizard does not populate parameters

If I right click a standalone function or procedure and select "Create Unit Test", the parameters window is populated and I am able to enter input and expected output values for the test.
However, when I attempt the same with a function that is within a package, the parameters window is blank.
I am using version 3.2.20.09
