XML PO settings in SRM and PI

Hi All,
Hi All,
We are doing cXML PO to vendors.
We have done below Settings in SRM
Activate XI in IMG.
Then, set XML as the default output in IMG (PO Output Settings/Actions).
Then, in vendor master (from web side) and select XI as the transmission
as per the sdn thread
PO output medium XML in Vendor data missing
now our PO is not getting ordered and we are getting below error message in PO
Output: No details for medium XML in master record
Can some one help me how we can do the settings in the vendor at XI level if required or is there anything else we have to do in SRM and PI level.
Appreciate your help.
Regards,
Smita

  • Settings for XML PO Output in SRM

    Hi All,
    I have been tasked with developing a solution to send PO's to the vendor using XML via PI. I know there is functionality in SRM to do this but do not know where to start.
    I would really appreciate any help the SRM experts can provide.
    Kind Regards

    Hi Nikhil,
    I need send XML PO's to vendor's from SRM and need to identify the config settings that are required in SRM - changes to vendor data and badi used etc. We are using Extended Classic version and will only be sending items that were generatd from the catalogue. I know little about SRM but understand that I need to set the output of the vendor to send the message to PI - from here PI will convert this into an XML document and then forward this to the vendor. Do you have any links where I can find out more about the settings to be made in SRM?
    Kind Regards

  • PO Vendor not matching between SRM and R/3

    Hi Gurus.. I'm facing a problem with a PO.. as the Subject says, what is happening is that when I look in SRM/SRM Portal for the PO it has a vendor and in R/3 has another...
    In bbp_pd i found this about partner:
    the first line, fixed vendor, which is in blue, corresponds to the CORRECT vendor..
    the second line, preferred vendor, which is in red, corresponds to the incorrect vendor (the one in R/3)
    think that the problem might be related to something with this config.. but not sure or how to solve the problem...
    any idea?? thanks!

    Hi
    Do you have different settings for Fixed and Preferred vendors in ECC and SRM......
    It seems your preferred vendor is a Fixed Vendor in ECC and thats the reason the vendor is changed in ECC.
    I will recommend this analysis option to you:
    1. Activate the Test data recording for the BAPI which is creating the PO in ECC. You can follow the procedure defined in OSS Note 539978 - Automatic generation of BAPI test data directory.
    2. Create your document(Same data with fixed and preferred vendor) in SRM and approve the same so that system sends the data to ECC for creation of PO there.
    3. The activation in Step 1 will result in creation of a data record in Test data directory of the BAPI in ECC (instead of creating the PO there).
    4. Check the data in the test directory, to see which vendor has been sent by SRM. If the directory has correct vendor(on lines of SRM), then execute the data in debug mode and see why it is being changed in ECC while PO is created there
    5. If the test directory has incorrect Vendor then check your SRM driver FMs or BADIs which could be changing the data before sending it to the ECC System

  • SRM and MDM for material master in SRM contracts for multiple R/3

    Dear all,
    my question is:
    We are implementing SRM 4.0 in classic scenario with multiple R/3 back-end and we want to set-up Global Outline Agreements in SRM in a multi-backend environment where the Material Master are not harmonized.
    We heard that MDM and COntent Integraton can be a solution.
    Then detailled question is:
    Can we have 2 material numbers (e.g. ABC and XYZ) in 2 different R/3 systems refering the same product.
    Have the mapping done in MDM (Content Integrator?) to a third material number:123
    Replicating the material master 123 to SRM from MDM(?)
    Create global Outline Agreements in SRM for Material Master 123.
    Distribute the GOA as Outline Agreement to R/3 system 1 with the translation to ABC and to R/3 system 2 with the translation XYZ, all of that during the distribution step (or another).
    Have the call-offs quantities correct on 123 in SRM and BW?
    IF yes, how is it working, do you have some documentation discribing the scenario and the config steps to do?
    Thanks in avance

    Hello RD,
    That's a good question.
    You are on the right way. MDM is the tool for you.
    But..
    Content Integrator (CI) was first developped for Shell, to address the need of cross-referencing of material/supplier/category IDs, for:
    - reporting purpose (actual Spend Analysis)
    - mapping purpose (send of XML PO)
    CI was later "fusionned" into the new MDM (1.0) solution.
    So now, you can not order CI without MDM (even if some SRM slides still present CI).
    But mapping API where developped for all inboud/outbound interfaces in SRM, for materials only (good luck for you).
    You will find everywhere this piece of code:
      Call ECI
        CALL FUNCTION 'BBP_PRODUCT_MAP'
          TABLES
            it_input          = lt_mapping_in
            et_output         = lt_mapping_out
          EXCEPTIONS
            logsys_not_found  = 1
            driver_not_found  = 2
            product_not_found = 3
            internal_error    = 4
            OTHERS            = 5.
    So it is ok, you have the mapping call, but I don't know if all the rest of the process was really "finalized" (call of API mapping in CI, via XI). I personnaly never used it, but I assume it should work.
    I my opinion your process is supported by SAP:
    - Extract materials from both R/3 and consolidate them as a single product in MDM.
    - Distribute this product into SRM.
    - Maintain contracts on those products.
    - Distribute them to R/3 (The ECI call is also used during contract distribution).
    - Call offs corrects in SRM and BW
    For MDM documentation, look at netweaver area of service.sap.com.

  • XI content for SRM and CCM scenario - mapping

    Hi All,
    We are using the standard business content for integrating SRM with CCM to update contract information from SRM to CCM. Both SRM and CCM are on the same system.
    The configuration scenario used is MasterDataInclusionInCatalogOnWAS700 which is in the name space SAP CATALOG CONT.MGMT. 2.0_700 , http://sap.com/xi/CCM/CAT.
    There are 2 interfaces being referred by this scenario: CatalogUpdateNotification_Out and this CatalogUpdateNotification_In and both the interfaces are pointing to the same meesage type CatalogTransmission but they are in different name spaces.
    Once the scenario was configured there was no interface mapping available in the standard business content to map the above 2 interfaces.
    SAP SRM SERVER 5.5
    CatalogUpdateNotification_Out
    CatalogTransmission
    http://sap.com/xi/EBP
    SAP CATALOG CONT.MGMT. 2.0_700 ,
    CatalogUpdateNotification_In
    CatalogTransmission
    http://sap.com/xi/CCM/CAT
    Is this the normal case and we need to develop our own mapping or is the standard content not imported correctly?
    The service pack details are as follows:
    PI 7.0 SP level 14
    XI content
    u2022 SAP BASIS 7.00 - SP 14
    u2022 SAP CATALOG CONT.MGMT. 2.0_700 - SP 12
    u2022 SAP SRM SERVER 5.5 - SP 11
    u2022 SAP ABA 7.00 - SP 14
    Thanks,
    Shravan

    ditto, anybody received a response from SAP with regards to this problem?
    As suggested above, we could build our own mapping in XI but this would obviously be a modification to SAP standard which we would prefer to avoid.
    Regards, Kyle.
    OK Received a response from SAP dated Oct. 9, 2008
    I assume that you have installed NW 7.00 SP14 (or higher).
    Within earlier versions the mapping from XML to ABAP was to lax.
    The XML message was processed witout regarding the name of the root
    element. This was fixed with SP14.
    When you call an interface the XML message must match with the type
    defined in the WSDL used for proxy generation.
    Either the message or the WSDL used to generate the proxy seems to be
    wrong here.
    Here is a work around should solve this problem until we make available in a standard note soon.
    I will do it internally to our development team but I am sorry that i can not tell now when the note will be ready.
    Disable the new check by adding the following entry in transaction sproxset
    -Name: ST_USE_LAX_ON
    -Value: X
    -User: <empty>
    -Inactive: <empty>

  • XML invoice receipt in SRM

    Hello all,
    I have a problem by posting invoice from ECC 6.0 to SRM 7.0. We do not use SUS!
    The process:
    The purchase order is created in SRM and send via PI to the ECC 6,0 and creates a sales order.
    In ECC 6.0 we create the invoice and send the invoice via PI as IDOC - XML to the SRM system.
    The invoice is created in SRM but they have no link to the purchase order on item level when I check the invoice I get the error message "The template item 1 does not exist (BBP_PD 041).
    On header level the link are ok.
    I think the problem is the mapping of the invoice data. I transfer the purchase order reference and the item. Are there more fields necessary to link the documents correct?
    Thanks.
    meli

    Hi,
    we create in ECC an sales order but the invoice refered to the purchase order in SRM.
    In the invoice data from ECC I have the purchase order number and item from the SRM and the invoice should be created with reference to this purchase order.
    Can you tell me the necessary input data for creating a invoice via XML with refered to an purchase order in SRM?

  • Doubts about BP number in SRM and SUS

    Hello everyone,
    I have some doubts about the BP number, especially for Vendors.
    I am working with the implementation of SRM 5.0 with SUS in an extended classic scenario. We will use one server for SRM and other for SUS. We will use the self registration for vendor (in SUS). My questions are:
    - Can I have the same BP number in SRM and SUS?? Or is it going to be different??
    - When a vendor accesses at the site to make a self registration in SUS, the information is sent to SRM as prospect (by XI) and there the prospect is changed as vendor? After that, is it necessary to send something from SRM to SUS again? (to change the prospect to vendor)
    - When is it necessary to replicate vendors from SRM to SUS??
    Thanks
    Ivá

    Dear Ivan,
    Here is answer to all your questions. Follow these steps for ROS configuration:
    Pls note:
    1. No need to have seperate clients for ROS and SUS. Create two clients for EBP and (SUS+ROS).
    2. No need of XI to transfer new registered vendor from ROS to EBP
    Steps to configure scenario:
    1. Make entries in SPRO --> "Define backend system" on both clients.
        You will ahev specify logical systems of both the clients (ROS as well as EBP)
    2. Create RFCs on both clients to communicate with each other
    3. In ROS client create Service User for supplier registration service with roles:
        SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEUSER
        SAP_EC_BBP_CREATEVENDOR
        Grant u201CS_A.SCONu201D profile to the user.
    4. Maintain service user in u201CLogon Datau201D tab of service : ros_self_reg in ROS client
    5. Create Purchasing and vendor Organizational Structure in EBP client and maintain necessary
        attributes. create vendor org structure in ROS client
    6. Create your ROS registration questionnaires and assign to product categories- in ROS client
    7. To transfer suppliers from registration system to EBP/Bidding system, Supplier pre-screening has to be
        defined as supplier directory in SRM server - EBP client.
        Maintain your prescreen catalog in IMG --> Supplier Relationship Management u2192 SRM Server u2192
        Master Data u2192 Define External Web Services (Catalogs, Vendor Lists etc.)
    8. Maintain this catalog Id in purchasing org structure under attribure "CAT" - in EBP client
    9. Modify purchaser role in EBP client:
        Open node for u201CROS_PRESCREENu201D and maintain parameter "sap-client" and ROS client number
    10.Maintain organizational data in make settings for business partner
    Supplier Relationship Management -> Supplier Self-Services -> Master Data -> Make Settings for the Business Partners. This information is actually getting getting stored in table BBP_MARKETP_INFO.
    11. Using manage Business partner node with purchasers login (BBPMAININT), newly registsred vendors are pulled from Pre-screen catalog and BP is created in EBP client. If you you have SUS scenario, ensure to maintain "portal vendor" role here.
    I hope this clarifies all your doubts.
    Pls reward points for helpful answers

    Prashant

  • Same business partner number for SRM and backend system

    Hello all, I am working in SRM 7.0 in a classic scenario.
    I am trying to replicate vendors from backend system to SRM, but I want that all vendors have same number in two systems, for example:
    Vendor 1000 in backend shows as 1000 in SRM
    How can I do it?
    Thanks in advance
    Rosa Rodríguez

    Hello,
    A. You need to customizing settings in SRM system
    1. Define Number ranges as External  (Same number ranges which are maintained in R3 backend sytem)
    (Tcode:BUCF / Path: IMG --> Cross-Application Components --> SAP Business Partner > Basic Settings> Number Ranges and Groupings --> Define Number Ranges)
    2.  Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges (Path: IMG --> Cross-Application Components --> SAP Business Partner > Basic Settings> Number Ranges and Groupings --> Define Groupings and Assign Number Ranges )
    B. Before replication you need extract payment terms and UOM in SRM system & Create the Vendor root org structure (Tcode: PPOCV_BBP)
    @Experts: Please add if i miss any thing apart from this.

  • SAP ECC, SRM and SNC integraton

    Hi everyone,
    I want to know if we can integrate ECC, SRM and SNC. We don't want to use SUS, we want to use SNC. Is it possible to have this implementation? If yes, what is the correct technical scenario for SRM (Classic or Extended Classic)?
    Thanks,
    Ivá

    Hello Iván,
    Regarding your first query, "What kind of changes we can do in SNC " --> As a vendor we can modify the PO quantity and PO delivery date only and update the same as POR. We cannot add any items in the PO.
    Regarding your next query ," changes cannot be send to PO if we are in extended classic?"  --> i think we can send the changes to the SNC even in the extended classic scenario , but we need to then customize our system accordingly with regards to the document types used , vendor classification , idoc and xml mapping , etc.
    We will be using some sort of SRM - SUS integration here in the extended classic.
    Also changes can be synched between SRM - ERP - SNC. and we can have the extended classic with ASN creation in SNC.
    Best Regards,
    Rahul

    Hi lisaarnett111,
    If you are having issues turning on Always Allow for cookies in Safari on your iPad, you may want to check to make sure that you don't have Private Browsing enabled, as noted in the following article:

  • Link SRM and back-end in a query

    hi experts,
    i'm doing a query in SRM 4.0 with a back-end ECC 6.0.
    This query includes some TABLES/VIEWS of SRM and others of ECC 6.0 (MM module). Pay attention: i know how is possible to link the views between them, i need to know how to connect two system (SRM and ECC6.0 - MM module) in the same query.
    thanks a lot

    Hi,
    thank you for your response. This query is developed with tool SQ01, and his scope is to get data from R/3 tables (Eban,Ekko,Ekpo,Lfa1) and SRM tables (BBP_PDView_IAP,BBP_PDView_ACC,...), for view shopping cart state on SRM, and its relative Purchase Order on MM.
    Can you make me an example for RFC-enabled function modules (Business APIs) ?

  • Generate XML output using DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype and not from rdf

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to display output from a particular table in XL format. Out of all the known possible options, I am planning to use the XML publisher to generate XL output.
    For the data source, instead of using the conventional way of creating XML data using rdf,I am planning to use DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype pl/sql procedure to generate the XML output. And from the output, call the template to generate the required Excel output.
    Now, I am using the following code to generate XML output but am not sure how to proceed from here. I need to first print the XML data in the FND Output file after which I was planning to call the 'XML Report Publisher' (XDOREPPB) program and use the current request id to get the excel output but I am not able to find the way to print the XML data in the output file as:
    fnd_file.put_line (fnd_file.output, l_xml_type); - is throwing an error as l_xml_type is an XML data output.
    PROCEDURE xml_main (
    errbuf OUT VARCHAR2
    ,retcode OUT VARCHAR2
    ,p_project_from IN VARCHAR2
    ,p_project_to IN VARCHAR2
    AS

    INTO l_xml_type
    FROM DUAL;
         fnd_file.put_line (fnd_file.output, l_xml_type);
    END xml_main;
    Can anyone point me as to how to publish XML output using a PL/SQL procedure (DBMS_XMLGEN.getxmltype)
    Thanks.

    Pl see if the example included in this presentation helps http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/applications/Events/OOW-2006/EBS/S281401_Sridhar_Bogelli.pdf
    Also, you do not need to explicitly call XDOREPPB in later versions of XML Publisher. If you set up everything correctly (as described in the presentation above and the link below) the Output Post Processor is called automatically after the XML file is generated successfully.

    ele.print(new java.io.PrintWriter(cd.getCharacterOutputStream()));
    ele = (oracle.xml.parser.v2.XMLElement)row.writeXML(0,XMLInterface.XML_OPT_ALL_ROWS);
    ele.print(new java.io.PrintWriter(cd.getCharacterOutputStream()));
    cd.getCharacterOutputStream().write("</AllNodes>");
    //System.out.println(cd.toString());
    catch(Exception e)
    e.printStackTrace();
    return cd;
    In the controller use
    ClobDomain xmlData=(ClobDomain)am.invokeMethod("getXMLData");
    if(xmlData!=null)
    byte[] bytes = xmlData.toByteArray();
    ByteArrayInputStream l_erXML=new ByteArrayInputStream(xmlData.toString().getBytes());
    DocumentHelper.exportDocument(pageContext,"CDM","XXCDMGAP","en","US",l_erXML,"PDF",null);
    }

    Create a JAR file with $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/fnd and $JAVA_TOP/oracle/apps/xdo. You can have them in the same jar file or separate JAR files. The oracle directory MUST be the top directory.
    Add this/these jar files to your project libraries in JDev and you are ready to go. I have used this method with XMLP 5.5 to 5.6.2 and works just fine.

  • PO with status "Deleted" in SRM and status "Awaiting Approval" in BW

    Hi,
    Report Purchase Order status ( 0BBP_PO_Q007) on ODS 0BBP_PO shows status "Awaiting Approval" for Purchase Orders that have status "Deleted" in the SRM source system.
    Any idea about an appropriate OSS note or other work around solution?
    Thanks in advance for your replies.

    1) The PO data can be extracted from SRM or R/3 . But the advantage of extracting data from R/3 is that you have lot many other data while compared to SRM system . In case u are having SRM and Sap R/3 or ECC as your backend system , it is always better to  extract PO data from R/3 or ECC. In case your backend system is going to be other than SAP system , probably we can think of extracting data from SRM.
    2) GR and invoice data always have to be pulled from R/3 system
    3) Shopping cat details exist only in SRM and the details has to be extracted only from SRM .
    Suggest to extract 1) shopping cart from SRM  2) PO,GR and Invoice from SAP R/3 or ECC.
    Hope above clarifies your questions
    Regards
    Mani
