Xsd, wsdl locations on SOA 11G Server

In SOA 11G.
What is the location/path on SOA 11G server, where I can place XSD, WSDL(of external system) and import into my Composite or BPEL process.
Thanks
Edited by: user13326981 on Oct 7, 2010 12:07 PM

Deploying a static web application is one option and the other option is to use an apache to host all the xsd and wsdl.
The advantage of apache is during development you can have the files hosted on a lighter server that is always running in the background.
These urls can then be replaced during deployment using the Config plan and build scripts.

    Thanks

    Thanks a lot Brannigan okie. my question on wsdl was :
    I have external system WCF WSDL http://IP:Port/ABC/XYZSyncService.Wcf/XYZSyncService/?wsdl
    (I guess I can change this to any IP and Port (on my network). All I need to do is change the IP and Port in a config file and then run that config file - this way IP and Port could be changed and it could still work on browser. I haven't tried it though)
    Now I want invoke this WSDL in my bpel/composite PL. This WSDL works in my browser and i can also test in SOAP UI. But I cannot use it in Jdeveloper BPEL PL.
    So, I opened this WSDL in browser-copied source code in file and placed it locally on my desktop(say external.wsdl) and when I browse external.wsdl from Partner Link a prompt says(There are no Partner Link Types defined in your current WSDL......create a PL for you). I click "Yes" . I selected a Partner Role, when i click ok. I get Exception: java.lang.StackOverflowError.

    Hi frnds,
    I have downloaded and started Oracle SOA 11g Pre-built from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/learnmore/vmsoa-172279.html and trying to configure it according to my requirements to upgrade from SOA 10g to 11g. Can you please help me?

    None of those roles are intended to be granted to application users. Those are instead to limit various operational / support responsibilities. For instance, if you have "operators" for your production environment who are responsible for starting & stopping servers vs "Administrators" who are performing configuration changes, etc.
    The SOA* versions can be used to separate even further - an "Operator" ( with rights in the WL console ) can be distinct from a "SOAOperator" ( with rights in the SOA /em ), etc.

  • OSB 11g - Apache Webserver - WSDL location redirecting to OSB server

    Hi,
    In our case we have a OSB server running on a dev machine and a Apache server is installed which receives the requests from the vendor and forwards the requests to the OSB. I have a Proxy Service on the OSB which is WSDL based and this is accessed by the vendor.
    The DMZ only allows requests from the vendor to the web server and not to the OSB.
    From client's end when they send the WSDL request http://*<webserver_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl to the webserver, the WSDL is sent back to the client. But in that WSDL the service endpoint location points to the OSB server (http://*<osb_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl). Upon receiving this the client tries sends the request to OSB server directly which is blocked by the DMZ. The client should have got the response as http://*<webserver_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl so that it could send the request to the web server and not the OSB server. The calls to the OSB server are not allowed by the DMA. Because of this their call to invoke the data is not successful.
    I tried hard coding the URL http://<webserver_ip>/endpoint-uri?wsdl in the WSDL and then use it but still the problem is not resolved. Still in the endpoint address location in the WSDL the IP of the OSB is sent and not the IP of the web server.
    What can I do so that the WSDL which is sent to the vendor has the service endpoint location as http://<webserver_ip>/endpoint-uri?wsdl and not http://*<osb_ip>*/endpoint-uri?wsdl.
    Thanks,
    Sanjay

    I tried hard coding the URL http://<webserver_ip>/endpoint-uri?wsdl in the WSDL and then use it but still the problem is not resolved. Still in the endpoint address location in the WSDL the IP of the OSB is sent and not the IP of the web server.
    The url in the port section of the wsdl resource is never used in the effective wsdl generated by OSB. Instead you can use weblogic Frontend host/port properties for solving this.
    The below describes the rule how weblogic computes the hostname part of the URL in the generated wsdl's for its deployed web services:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12840_01/wls/docs103/webserv/setenv.html#wp220945
    # If the Web Service is deployed to a cluster, and the cluster Frontend Host, Frontend HTTP Port, and Frontend HTTPS Port are set, then WebLogic Server uses these values in the server address of the dynamic WSDL.
    # If the preceding cluster values are not set, but the Frontend Host, Frontend HTTP Port, and Frontend HTTPS Port values are set for the individual server to which the Web Service is deployed, then WebLogic Server uses these values in the server address.
    # If these values are not set for the cluster or individual server, then WebLogic Server uses the server address of the WSDL request in the dynamic WSDL.

  • Clear or refresh WSDL cache in SOA  11G.

    How can do this in 11G?
    Thanks for your help!!

    Right Click "SOA Infra" , Administration -- > System MBean Browser, then
    Application Defined MBeans > oracle.as.soainfra.config > Server: soa_server1(whatever name u gave while installation of SOA) > SoaInfraConfig > soa-infra > Attributes.
    There is an Attribute all the way down, " UddiCacheLifetime" . Though this is not a direct way to clear cache but minimum time of 300 seconds can be set.
    Maybe this helps you.

  • How to import xsd file inside XSD folder in Oracle SOA 11g

    Hi,
    I need to import xsd file inside XSD folder provided by the deafult structure while creating SOA project. When I used to import the web resource it imports it inside public_html folder not inside XSD folder.
    How to do that ?
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Are you using Jdeveloper on a windows machine? If you are then this might be a useful tip.
    Click Tools -> External Tools. It will prompt you to setup common tools. Let it do this. Now when you right click on your project you will get an Explore Directory option. I use this a lot when copying XSD’s between projects.
    Once you have done this you need to click the refresh button in the Application Navigator to ensure the new files appear.

    Hi,
    Why don't you run a linux Virtual Machine on top of Windows 8?
    If you want you can even download a VM with SOA Suite already installed from: http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/soasuite/learnmore/vmsoa-172279.html

  • BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error in SOA 11g Suite

    Hi,
    I am just testing one simple SOA Application in SOA 11g Suite. Created a SOA Composite Application with one DB Adapter at designtime all worked fine with DB Adapter. But when I deploy the Application on the server I get the following error:
    The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue: BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error. Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/> The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/DB/soademoDatabase'. The reason for this is most likely that either 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/DB/soademoDatabase. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR). Please correct this and then restart the Application Server ".Do I need to jndi-name in weblogic-ra.xml if so what is the exact location. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks

    I did but still not able to connect now getting the following error. I went to the Weblogic Console, clicked on deployments, selected DBAdapter, clicked on configuration ,
    and then I don't see outbound configurations instead it shows Outbound Connection Pools, Under Outbound Connection Pools tab I clicked on New and it asked to select Outbound Connection Group I selected the one that was already there (with JNDI eis/DB/SOADemo) and then created my JNDI which was added to the default Outbound Connection Group and in the end it asked to save the Plan.xml which I saved it under a new directory created under soa directory. But still am not able to connect.
    How do I create my own Connection Group as don't want to use the defualt one out there.
    After creating the JNDI Name it asks for saving the Plan.xml file. Where exactly we save this file. Are there any standards.
    Why can't I update any properties when I click on the new JNDI name it takes to Settings for javax.resource.cci.ConnectionFactory --> Outbound Connection Properties but there I see a save buttn but I can't make any changes.
    BINDING.JCA-12563 Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'getCreditValidationSelect' failed due to: Could not create/access the TopLink Session. This session is used to connect to the datastore. Caused by javax.resource.spi.InvalidPropertyException: Missing Property Exception. Missing Property: [DBManagedConnectionFactory.userName]. You may have set a property (in _db.jca) which requires another property to be set also. Make sure the property is set in the interaction (activation) spec by editing its definition in _db.jca. . ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution. Is there any documentation that lists all these steps as I couldn't find it anywhere. The guide only talks abou DBAdapter but how to configure etc can't find any info. Any help is appreciated.
    Thanks.

    Lets us try to start your environment by using a WLST script.
    Before you try starting the servers by using the script, could you first check your weblogic console,
    to see if the server soa_server1 is running or not (click on environment, servers) maybe the enterprise manager is out of sync.
    The following steps are necessary the run the script:
    First edit the nodemanager.properties (which is located in the directory <middleware-home>/wlserver_10.3/common/nodemanager).
    Find the entry StartScriptEnabled and set this property to true.
    Open a command shell and navigate to the directory <middleware-home>/wlserver_10.3/server/bin and run the file setWLSEnv.cmd
    (this sets your environment variables, so that we can run a WLST script).
    Copy the following script into a file named for example StartScript.py and adjust variables as needed
    beahome = '<middleware-home>';
    linux = false;
    adminusername = 'weblogic';
    adminpassword = 'transfer-solutions';
    domainname = 'base_domain';
    pathseparator = '/';
    if not linux:
         print 'SETTING WINDOWS PATH SEPARATOR';
         pathseparator = '\\';
    domainlocation = beahome + pathseparator + 'user_projects' + pathseparator + 'domains' + pathseparator + domainname;
    nodemanagerhomelocation = beahome + pathseparator + 'wlserver_10.3' + pathseparator + 'common' + pathseparator + 'nodemanager';
    print 'START NODE MANAGER';
    startNodeManager(verbose='true', NodeManagerHome=nodemanagerhomelocation, ListenPort='5556', ListenAddress='localhost');
    print 'CONNECT TO NODE MANAGER';
    nmConnect(adminusername, adminpassword, 'localhost', '5556', domainname, domainlocation, 'ssl');
    print 'START ADMIN SERVER';
    nmStart('AdminServer');
    nmServerStatus('AdminServer');
    print 'CONNECT TO ADMIN SERVER';
    connect(adminusername, adminpassword);
    print 'START SOA SERVER';
    start('soa_server1','Server');
    nmServerStatus('soa_server1');Run this script as follows, but first stop the servers already running
    java weblogic.WLST <directory>/StartScript.py

  • Requirements for running SOA 11g on Websphere Application Server

    Hello All,
    Could somebody please provide me with the requirements needed to run SOA 11g applications on Websphere Application Server(WAS) like what version of WAS is required etc.
    Thanks

    The latest release of SOA Suite 11g 11.1.1.4.0 (PS3) is certified on Oracle Weblogic Server and IBM WebSphere Server. Please refer certification related information here -
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-certification-100350.html
    Release 11.1.1.1.x to release 11.1.1.3.x are supported on Oracle Weblogic Server only.
    OAS 10g is not a supported application server for 11g Soa Suite.
