Xtreme Fidelity Interfere

The Soundcard is connected to my stero. I have noticed that there is interfering noises when ever one of my hard dri'ves is running. There is no sound quality difference when I play music just the constant noise when the hard dri've is running and no music is playing.
What is causing this problem?

I think there are x64 drivers for all the X-Fi soundcards. Check twice the exact product, there are XtremeAudio, XtremeMusic and XtremeGamer product lines, but Xtreme Fidelity is the long name of the whole range of? X-Fi?products. The XtremeAudio has a different driver set, but all the other X-Fi soundcards share the same drivers.

    I have . Where i can download drivers for Windows 2003 ?

Windows 2003 is the server OS, right? Configured as a workstation?
It uses the exact same driver model as XP. Use the XP drivers and you might have to use compatibility features to fool the installer into working.
Download the files to your hard dri've. Right click the installer to get the context menu, and look for the compatibility options. You can have the OS tell the installer it is really XP.
If that doesn't work, you can use the debug lie features of the free microsoft debug tester... called High Version Lie, to tell a more convincing lie to the app and get it to install. This is needed, for example, with Adobe CS2/3. It's part of Microsoft Application Verifier, a free download. I doubt you will need that, though it is handy for installing some things on 2003 server.
You can avoid all that if you are running x64, since as I understand it the XP x64 uses the same core as the 2003 server x64 so it's just as good.

  • Three questions about X-FI XTREME MUSIC.

    Hey guys,
So I've bought X-FI XtremeMusic PCI from a second hand yesterday and installed with newest drivers on my windows xp 32bit SP3. Everything seems to be fine. The sound is just brilliant ( for me - audigy user for last uhm... 7 years ).
But there are three weird things I'm interested in.
. My X-FI is a 0460 model. I check an information about sound card in EVEREST Ultimate. Why does it show my card as "Creative CA20K X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity Audio Processor" and not as "X-Fi XtremeMusic/Gamer" or something like that?
Furthermore, in control panel - sounds and audio devices it shows as "SB X-Fi Audio [EC00]". Is this fine?
How to check the model of my card properly? I mean not by a sticker.
    2. Creative console and all the stuff is installed too. Why don't I have "dolby digital-ex" and "DTS" options in console?
There arent dolby digital, dts and dvd-something logos on console too.
    3. I have three stickers on back of the card. Look and tell me what is that third sticker with "MIC" and chinese symbols.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,
I think your card is an OEM Dell version of the Xfi XtremeMusic (SB0467). I am not sure what is different between this model and a standard model like my version (SB0460).

  • Xfi xtreme audio no treble/bass contro

i just recently bought a xfi xtreme audio soundcard..
everything works well, except i cant find the treble / bass control in neither the windows volume panel nor creative launch console.. T_T
the treble / bass?control is grayed out, is this function not available for xfi extreme audio? or?issit the drivers problem?
i just feel disappointed with it if?it'streble / bass control is disabled for this soundcard..
becos even my old time SB Li've 5. Digital Entertainment got this?function...

i mean Creative shouldn't just repackaged the old AudigySE under X-FI series just because it redesign the software/driver used...well, they can named it as 'AudigyVista' if they want to let people know it's support under Vista....just named it as X-Fi XtremeAudio' is just a big misleading, can considered as cheating also....and the introduce of XtremeAudio also expose the ugly truth that the so called 'X-FI =Xtreme Fidelity' function such as Csytalizer is just the cheap effect emulated by the software and not the function that processed by the chip at all...

  • Help with system upgrade for CS6

Hello. I am hoping you can give me some advice on what to do (or buy) to improve my video editing system.  I am a bit of novice when it comes to the technical/hardware end of things and I’m having some issues with my current system.
I working in Adobe CS6 Master Suite on a Windows 7 Ultimate PC.  I mainly use Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition.  I create very complete animations and videos with many layers and effects (via Boris & Red Giant).  I also use Skype to record group video calls (with the program Evaer) for a reality T.V. recap show which I also edit with my Adobe suite.  However I have two main problems.
When I render out a 20 minute premier pro project (with several HD video layers and effects) it takes almost 13 hours.  It seems like this is very long considering my high end components, and set up.  For example I run ONLY my OS off an SSD.  My programs are on another SSD.  The files I use for the video are on another HDD, and I render to another HDD.  I was told by keeping all the aspects on separate hard drives it would speed everything up.  Is that true?  I also am now reading that rendering to a SSD would speed things up.  Should I consider changing my workflow/hard drive set up that way?
My other problem is that when I record my Skype group calls of 4 people (with Evaer) to my SSD the audio is always off when I bring it into Premiere.  I don’t know if this is a problem with Evaer, a codec (it records it as H.264/MPEG-4 AVC Codec.  At 1280 X 720 and 30fps), that SSDs auto compress files, or that my system just cant handle it.  Plus Soundblaster & Nvida both seem to active as audio features on my system I don’t know if that effects anything.  Is there any advice any of you have on this issue as well?  Perhaps another program to record skype or group calls?
Finally… all that aside.  Considering the work I am doing should I just upgrade my system to a better Mobo and graphics card.  I see a lot of people are recommending a dual processor work station.  If so what is a good motherboard, and processor(s) I should get if I build my own workstation?  I have about $4000.00 I could invest in building one if you think would greatly improve my work flow and render times.  I also have a quadro k5000 on the way, and id like to be able to use the memory I have already.
I realize I am asking a lot of questions.  I would truly appreciate any help, advice or just a point in the right direction.  I have included my current system specs below incase that helps with any of my questions.  If you have any other questions or need more information just let me know.  Thank you again in advance for any help you can provide.

    Eric,
I would hardly call the Quadro card an upgrade to a GTX 680!
Regarding getting more speed from a faster MB / CPU, since you already have a 6-core rig with 24GB of RAM I would think that any gains you would get would not be that dramatic.
Check out your cpu usage (Task manager) and see how busy your cores are during a test render. I am guessing that the Boris and / or Red Giant effects could be jumping your projects from gaining the full multi-core capabilities of the Adobe software.

  • Windows Vista x64 with YouP-PAX XFI2007 Revision 2 Works quite w

    Dear all X-FI members
I have an X-FI Xtreme Fidelity card and install with Windows Vista x64.
. I download the latest driver from Creative SB-XFI Version 2.3.002
    2. I download the Media Source CMS5 Version 5.0.38
    3. I install both of them
    4. I download YouP-PAX XFI2007 Revesion 2 from the web filefont below:
    http://files.filefront.com/YouP_PAX_X_FI2007_Rev2/;748043;/fileinfo.html
    5. I extract to a folder. inside the folder there is an instruction as below:
Don't click on setup.exe but click on PAXsetup.exe. It gave an error.
    6. I cancel and do it again by clicking on Audio(sub-folder) and then click on
setup(sub-folder)and then click on setup.exe. It gives me a table to select.
I uncheck driver box, and click next and go through the rest installation smoothly.
    7. After restart computer. The MediaSourceGo pops up and display all features
    8. I check THX console with gane mode and entertaiment mode. All works
    9. On both Modes, all speakers 2., 4., 5. and 7. can be selected and have all sounds
    0. X_FI CMSS-3D is enabled, X_FI Crystalizer is enabled, EQ and Mixer are worked.
. I do not play games so i do not know any thing about Alchemy and game stuffs
    2. when you try to change the Speaker mode. You have to click on THX console to do
    3. By the way, even the YouP-Pax revision was working well too. I don't see anything different from YouP-Pax X-FI2007 revision 2. They both work well for me.
    4. Reminding that. When you install the applications. PleaseDon't click on setup.exe or Paxsetup.exe. But please click on Audio folder, and then setup folder. then you see the setup.exe, please go down and click on setup.exe and please uncheck the driver box and anything you don't want to be install then uncheck them. After that click on next and that is it. Restart computer.
With all the best to all of you.

Thank you for your post a reply RejZoR
I have come back and updtae the driver from YouP-Pax 2007 revision 2, and it was going through well. You are definitely right.
I hope that every one has all things worked well and be happy with what they have bought from creative
many thanks to those who has done a good contributions to the drivers and applications to make them work.

  • Big Problem With Sound

Hello all! i have a problem with my Iphone 3gs. the other day i was listening to music through the external speaker and had my phone plugged into its charger when all of a sudden the music just cut out out of nowhere. so then i pushed play on it but no sound came out. so i went to test a game, again no sound. checked ringtones also no sounds. so then i plugged in headphones and all sounds work through headphones. i looked the problem up on google and i found out that i could be an issue with my headphone jack(phone saying headphones are plugged in but actually nothing is plugged in). ok i know for a fact that is not what my phones problem is cause when i push the volume buttons it doesnt say headphones and the volume bar comes up as well. one thing that did work for me is that i tapped the bottom of my phone on my table and the sound started working again for like 5 seconds but it cut out again like it did the first time...please help, thank you very much

  • BSOD Windows 7 32/64 bit - I will never buy a sb again

Creative knows the problem for years! And they are not able to fix the problem. What problem? The bluescreen of death you get when activating hw 3D audio in special games under Windows 7 32/64 bit. First I used the x-fi xtreme fidelity (2003) card under windows xp without any problem, than in 2009 I switched to windows 7. When playing my favourite game I got BSOD each time? I enabled the creative driver. I was searching for solutions, I read a lot and found out that many other x-fi users have the same problem. I had the hope that I could get rid of the problem by installation a newer x-fi card (titanium 2007, pci-e). But it didnt help. For 2 years I had to play in stereo mode. I thought all the time that creative will release a driver update. But nothing happenend. 2 days ago I had enough of playing in stereo mode, not being able to locate other players in game by their noices. I bought an Asus Xonar DS (not the newest card, from 2007), installed it, enabled the HW 3D audio settings with eax effects. No BSOD anymore! You know what, the sound is even much better. I can hear audio details I never noticed before in the game. Best 5. system I ever had.

I'm having BSOD under win 7 (64) with my x-fi gamer AND my old audigy 2 zs
It happens more when listening to music on youtube then when gaming and it sometimes happes on boot up.
I've checked all the other compontents to make sure it wasn't something else.
PC has been running smooth with onboard sound and neither of the cards gave any problems under XP or Vista (64)
Also the audigy 2 zs is working fine in my old pc.
Not sure where the problems is, ill give the beta drivers a shot. But it seems that alot of people are having problems with creative cards and windows 7

  • Possible to convert existing MP3 using CMSS-3D and Crystaliz

I'm quite impressed with the way CMSS-3D and 24-bit Crystalizer can upmix lower quality recordings but I'd like the effect to be permanent on some of my existing files. What I would like to do is to resample my existing audio files much in the way super-rip handles the conversion of CD's to WMA. I have not yet found this option or even know if this is possible. I'd appreciate some pointers.
    Thanks in advanced.

    # SuperRip? allows you to rip your CDs into Xtreme Fidelity quality.
The X-Fi 24-bit Crystalizer and X-Fi CMSS-3D features allow you to "SuperRip" CDs into Xtreme Fidelity quality so you can now enjoy permanently enhanced music instead of low-quality MP3 files!
If previous suggestion didn't help then the only possible is to try, if recording your audio files while playing with these effects applied, using Creative Media Source with recording source select to "What U Hear" can do the job.

  • X-Fi Resource conflict, no luck so far!

Hi guy's, hopefully someone here can Help me. Having the trouble with my X-fi Elite pro card causing a resource conflict with my nVidia 6600gt. It says the Vid card cant find enough free resources (Code 2). My motherboard is a gigabyte GA-8IPE000 Pro Rev .0
Have tried moving to all different PCI Slots
    Have tried manually assigning IRQ
Have tried disabling all non used ports etc.
Creative tech support i contacted by phone wanted me to remove my vid card and try!? with no on board video might be a bit difficult. Don't have settings for AGP aperture size either which seemed to help others so can't try that. Ready to rip my hair out with frustration!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!Please Help!!!!!!!!!!! Want so badly to Enjoy Xtreme fidelity goodness!!!!!!!!!!
    Thankyou!!!!!!!

Well it sounds like you have made steps in the right direction.
First go to your motherboard manufacture and make sure you have the most recent BIOS
Second Find out what chipset your motherboard uses, (Example Via, Nvidia, SIS, Intel, AMD) and make sure you have the latest motherboard drivers.
Third make sure that all your extra serial & printer ports are disabled (not set to auto) aswell as is you not using 394 firewire shut it off, as well as shut off your onboard video (If you have a addon video card) and sound card. If your using highspeed internet set modem IRQ to NA, set resources controlled by to Auto(ESCD) and reset data configureation to enable. make sure Spread Specturm is shut off. And make sure you have APIC turned on. (if APIC's turned on you may have to reinstall your OS) I know you might have done this already but please double check.
Fourth make sure that you have assign Videocard IRQ enabled.
Fifth move the sound card to the PCI slot furtherest away from your video card.
Make sure you have your onboard video card disabled if you have normal video card.
    Hope this helps

  • Logitech Z-5500, Audigy 2 ZS / X-Fi

I'm in the market of getting a surround sound system  . Right now I have the Logitech Z-5500Logitech Z-5500 in mind. And I am waiting for the new Creative X-FiCreative X-Fi sound cards to come out and see if its "Xtreme Fidelity" is really worth the $$$.
I still need some questions to be cleared up:
I had problems with Audigy 2 Value cards before and couldn't get it detected in my Neo2 Plat (heard many others are having the same problem), is there any issues with the Audigy 2 ZS and Neo2 Plat?
My network NIC card was not detected either, is there any fixes/explanations to the PCI detection problems for Neo2 Plat ?
Any suggestions of other surround sound systems? (all types that can be used on tv and comp will be fine, budget is around 290$USD or 350$CAD)

The 51million-transistor chip provides 24 times as much processing power as the Audigy processor, Creative said. The system uses 24-bit quantisation running at 96kHz, and pushes the signal-to-noise ratio to between 109bB and 116dB. It also incorporates CMSS 3D, the latest version of Creative's sound 'spatialisation' process, which simulates surround sound audio on a pair of earphones or speakers. The latest version of Creative's EAX system, the 128-voice EAX Advanced HD 5.0, is built in too.
To enhance 'lesser' sound formats, X-Fi uses a 136dB "virtually transparent" sample-rate converter to "analyse and identify which parts of the audio stream have been restricted or damaged during the [conversion] to 16-bit and then the data compression stage to MP3 or WMA formats". The upshot, said Creative, are improved dynamics and enhanced low and high frequencies, making for "cleaner, richer sound".
"Sound Blaster X-Fi heralds the beginning of a new epoch in audio, where X-Fi enabled audio products will eventually and completely replace the old hi-fi equipment in the home," said Creative's ebullient chairman and CEO Sim Wong Hoo.
Creative is pitching Xtreme Fidelity as an alternative to the likes of Super Audio CD (SACD) and DVD Audio. Upgrade your music to the next generation of sound quality without having to buy new discs, it says, though we note it doesn't mention how much more room you'll need on your hard drive to store all this higher-quality material.
The XtremeMusic is the base model, providing the standard 109bD SNR. In addition to the standard X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity feature set, the board includes Creative's MediaSource 3 software, which will convert users' digital music collections to Xtreme Fidelity's own format and fine-tune the audio chip's output.
The Platinum builds on the XtremeMusic a drive-bay mounted front-facing controller and port-replicator. It also includes an infra-red remote control and Entertainment Center software. The Fatal1ty board enables EAX Advanced HD 5.0 and CMSS 3D for gaming. The board incorporates 64MB of what Creative calls "X-RAM" high-speed audio-specific memory.
The top-end Elite Pro board provides the full 116bD SNR and incorporates 64MB of X-RAM. It also features a built-in pre-amp for direct recording, and high-impedance inputs for electric guitars.
Creative said the $400 Sound Blaster X-Fi Elite Pro, the $280 Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS, the $200 Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum and the $130 Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeMusic will go on sale in the US this month. ®

  • People keep hearing themselves through my headphones.

    Hello,
Just before I explain my problem, I got to say that I have tried EVERYTHING that I could find in google.
    Suprisingly nothing helped.
I have the following sound card: Creative X-Fi Xtreme Fidelity.
    Heaphones: SteelSeries 4H.
    Windows 7
The problem is that whenever I use my microphone ( Ventrilo, Mumble, Skype, etc... ) people keep telling me that they can hear themselves through my headset.
So whenever I play a video game of some sort, people report that they hear all the game sounds.
Same goes to music and basically everything that I hear in my headphones is being transfered to my microphone.
If I plug in the sound card the computer came with ( some kind of asus sound card ) People do not hear themselves through me.
I had this issue for a long time now. It has the same problem on XP, so windows is not the issue.
Hopefully someone can FINALLY help me with this crap.
    Thanks!

It is a very odd problem indeed. I had the same soundcard, and had some problems with it.. nothing like that though. It really sounds like the microphone records with a "what u hear" setting.. Not sure what to do to fix it though :P Try lowering the settings on your soundcard and just have the windows 7 microphone settings on maybe? Or the opposite.
