Z10 reboot problem

I’m having a problem with my Z10 it can’t switch on it doesn’t load till to the screen to type the PIN no for my sim card but it doesn’t continue , someone told me is the problem of a software but when I connected the device to the PC it doesn’t recognise the device connected cause its off. I then went to the store where I bought the device but I was advised that is a software problems, also said I can be able to update the software online myself. It does switch on but the problem is I won’t be able to enter my sim card pin.
I tried  update the software online at BlackBerry website but because the PC don’t recognise the device connected. There is a BlackBerry Buddies around my area so  I’m thinking of taking it today to them maybe they can be able to assist me before I book the device for repairs.
Will BlackBerry Buddies help me with the problem?

The problem isnt the sim card but the device itself.
The loading of the device after inserting the battery doesnt complete to the end where it counts to 100% then I type the PIN.
It only shoes the blackberry then stops.

My Blackberry z10 is rebooting for ages now, its a month old, any one help.

Sometimes a small folded piece of paper wedged between the battery and the device, opposite the battery contacts, will help. It can be just a matter of a lose connection sometimes.

  • HTC Incredible Reboot Problem - Must All Be In My Mind

Took my malfunctioning HTC Incredible to V-Experience Store for return.  It had previously been declared DOA by Verizon Customer Service and identified as part of a bad batch of HTC I's on the market.....
Store Rep tried his hardest to (1) tell me that my malfunction / constant rebooting is all due to the apps I downloaded from the Market (2) the Verizon Customer Service reps don't really know what they are talking about and are too quick to declare a phone DOA (3) there are no bad Incredibles out there - just bad apps and users that don't manage them correctly.
Wow!  Never thought that the 5-8 reboots a day which then locks out my touch screen was ultimately my fault.  Also didn't realize  that the HTC Incredible has no reboot problem that couldn't be solved by resetting it and (based on the Rep's logic), never loading another app on the phone.
A couple of points - Verizon needs to figure out the message regarding the well documented HTC I reboot problem and stay on it.  Second - Every time I step into a Verizon Experience store my opinion of Verizon drops.

I hear you man I am on my FOURTH Incredible.  The onyl positive is that I have not had a reboot in 3 days which is a record for me.

  • Envy phoenix 810-209 rebooting problem

    I've got a rebooting problem.
everytime unplug my computer and plug in,turn it on,then exactly 10 minuites after,my computer has rebooting automatically once.
and i keep using, then no more rebooting happened.
But i turn it off, unplug it,plug in,turn it on,then it happen again exactly 10 minuite after.
    Please help me.....

    Hi,
That is a tough one to diagnose.
Do you have your PC set to display bluescreen error messages?
Open Control Panel, System, Advanced System Settings.
    Open Startup and Recovery.
    Uncheck Automatically Restart.
    Click OK.
You should be able to see any error codes when this happens again if the computer is blue screening.
That should not happen under any circumstance. But if I am following what is happening, and your PC only does this after you turn it off and remove/restore AC current, why are you repeating this action?
Does your PC work correctly, including rebooting and cold boots, if you don't unplug from the household power supply?
    Jaco
    Errare humanum est.

  • 9810 rebooting problem

Blackberry 8910 kept on rebooting after i completed the update for app world , anyone have a solution to this ?

It has to do with the software.  If you're getting that message, then you were able to connect to BlackBerry Desktop Software?  If so, this is very good.
If you connected to BDS, click Device at the top of the software then Update.  You'll be told your phone is already up to date, which you already stated, so then you'll click View Other Versions and click the version with Currently Installed beside it.  This will reload the OS that is currently on your phone and that should smooth out the rebooting problem.
Give it a try and post back with your results.
    - If my response has helped you, please click "Options" beside my post and mark it as solved. Clicking the "thumbs up" icon near the bottom of my response would also be appreciated.

  • WinXP reboot problem

Hey... when I've installed Windows XP and choose to run it in the os meny, the computer just reboots. I've tried different versions of XP still same problem. Safe mode or command prompt doesn't work either.
The thing is, I have tried to install XP many times now and I've had different error messages but I have always been able to boot XP. Now, without a reason, the computer just reboots! Very strange.

    Hardware:
    Athlon 64 3000+
    MSI K8T NEO-FIS2R
    TwinMOS PC3200 DDR-DIMM 512 MB m/Winbond (400 MHz)
    Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 160GB S-ATA - S-ATA/150 8MB cache
PowerColor Radeon 9660 256 MB DDR
CNet PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter (didn't know the motherboard had integrated network card :s)
I'm pretty sure it's my HD that messes up the system.
    Drivers:
    VIA Serial ATA RAID Controller
    VIA ATA/ATAPI Host Controller
    Promise FastTrak 376/378 (tm) Controller
Promise SATA-150 TX Series (tm) Controller
Okey... first I had a problem with a bluescreen when trying to install XP. This was fixed by disabling the external cache and shadowing in BIOS. I'm running ME as my primary and active partition, having XP to test on the other partition as logical. Tried to set it to active but the meny where you would choose OS didn't appear. But I'm still saying that I've been able to run XP before on that partition...
    1. I started with loading all the drivers with F6. Then when the installation run there were 2 pop-up error messages about something that the VIA SATA drivers didn't support XP... not sure what it stood but I clicked continue. So when I run XP and installed the drivers and tried to update with Windows Update, a message appeared on the screen telling me to shut down all work because the computer is going to restart in 60 seconds. I guess it has something to do with the error messages earlier when I installed. So the message kept coming up every time I booted up XP and there was no way of canceling it. I realised I shouldn't load both drivers (stupid me), I thought both were needed to get rid of the "can't find HD screen", but then I read on this forum that you should load either VIA or Promise...
    2. I tried to load the VIA drivers, but then a bluescreen appeared so the VIA drivers were not an option.
    3. Then I tried the Promise drivers, and it worked. No error messages during installation either. But then after the installation, all of a sudden, when I choosed to boot XP, the computer just rebooted!
    4. I tried to install another time loading all the drivers. Now, the error messages didn't appear (they should had!) BUT the computer reboots when I choose XP... and now I can't even get XP to boot I don't know what the h*ll happened!
I'm sure if I could get rid of the reboot problem I could try install Promise drivers again and check if it would work correctly. Running BIOS 1.20 update. And I have tried to get XP to work in 2 weeks now and reinstalled XP over and over again, deleeting the partition and then creating new NTFS with quickformat. I'm getting tired of this as my ME partition can't run any games because the latest graphic card drivers doesn't support ME... If I just had choosen to have the OS installed (like an 120$ extra) when I ordered the computer I wouldn't have all those problems... but then I know it is POSSIBLE to get XP to work or else they wouldn't have the installation option when ordering!!
This is as much info as I can give you... hope it helps.

  • Z10 reboots when opening text message or contact details

Since last week I am unable to read any text messages as the Z10 reboots everytime I try to open my text messages. Thne when I open my contact details it also either reboots or stay on a white screen. PLEASE ASSIST.

hwessels, try scrolling through your Hub, and without opening the text messages, tap and hold on the old text message threads you know to be the longest threads of all, and delete them.
Then, With your BlackBerry powered on, remove the battery for a minute and reinsert to reboot.
Now, after reboot, give your #Z10 a few minutes to complete all the data sync and attempt to open one of the new messages.

  • Reboot problem with MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum and 250 GB SATA HDD

I'm having a "reboot" problem with my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum. After turning my system on it will run without any problems, until I reboot. After a reboot it will always hang after the initial windows-bootscreen. The HDD-light will remain on. If, instead of going into Windows XP SP2, I try to enter the BIOS after a reboot (DEL) the system will also hang (blank screen with blinking cursor).
It started doing this after I installed the Maxtor 250 GB SATA disk. Before, I didn't have problems rebooting. If I disconnect the Maxtor drive I can reboot and enter BIOS and Windows each and every time. Reconnecting the Maxtor 250 GB SATA drive will return the reboot problem. I always have to use the power swith to get a working system again. It's not enough to do a hard reset (this has the same effect as rebooting).
Here are the details of my system:
    MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum (BIOS 1.B)
    Athlon 64 3200+ (Winchester, 2 Ghz, 512 KB cache, stepping DH-D0)
    2 x Kingston KVR400X64C25/512, 512 MB, DDR, PC3200 (2,5-3-3-8 T1)
Asus Radeon AX800 Pro (256 MB)
    PSU Antec Sonata 380W
HDD Maxtor 80Gb ATA (6Y080P0, Pri Master)
    HDD Seagate 250Gb SATA (ST3200822AS)
HDD Maxtor 250Gb SATA (6V250F0 - jumpered in SATA150 mode, the mobo wouldn't work with the drive in SATA300-mode)
Aopen COM5232/AAH Pro CD-Writer ATA (Sec Master)
BenQ DW1640 DVD-Writer ATA (Sec Slave)
P.S. The NVidia IDE-drivers are NOT installed. System is not overclocked.

Thank you for all the replies. Upgrading to the latest Nvidia IDE-drivers did not fix my problem. Moving to other SATA-ports did not help either. Upgrading the mobo's BIOS is not really an option (I'm using one version before the most recent and there isn't anything in the fixlist of the latest BIOS).
Now I've contacted Maxtor for (hopefully) a new firmware.

  • KT4 Ultra crashing/rebooting problems

Hi all, I've been having computer crashing/rebooting problems when I play 3d games since I got this board. It can happen between 1-40 minutes during a game session and when the computer crashes, the screen would garble up and reboot along with the garbled screen until I cold boot it. I thought it was a heat problem at first but the cpu heat displays at between 34C-39C. Also, when I tried switching out the video card with an older one, the computer works fine during gameplay, and my newer video card ran fine on a friend's computer. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?
    System specs are:

  • Reboot problem when OC the 975X Power Up

I don't want to break any OC record, only want to reach 3 Ghz, but without rebooting problems. Is there a BIOS version that fixed this problem ???. I am currently using the latest (7.3A), and despite now I can set the memory in 1:1 mode (with 7.2 I can't), when I set the FSB to 333 the reboot problem arise. In fact the reboot problem occurs when I set the FSB higher than 310-315 mhz. At 3 Ghz the board is rock solid and run all test, and even the memory at 667 mhz perform equal than 777 mhz (310 * 2 * 1.25). I have to note that the voltages are all stock, and C1E and speedstep are enabled (at 2.8 Ghz works great), do you have any suggestion with this items ??

memory compatability . i tried 3 different sets of memory ranging from 533 - 800 mhz ( what the board supports ) the samsung 533 5,5,5,15 reboot issues , Ocz 667 5,5,5,15 no reboot issues up to 400 fsb ( its when i break 400 + is when i need to safe mode the bios ) but this is memory getting pushed to hard . and crucial 800 4,4,4,12 reboot issue but the mb remembers my fsb beyond 400 + fsb ( no safe moding the bios on a shut down ) but because of the compatability issue with the crucial i cant break 400 fsb because it wont hold it . the ocz i can do 430 easily . again here we are . is it mb manu , chip set manu , or mem ? me i am goin towards Memory manufacturers because it is there job to make sure there chips work on multiple platforms and keep up with the times . the only thing we can do too help  is contact the memory manufacturers tell them our problems rma our current memory and hope they listen to us .... again ITS NOT MSI fault that memory wasnt cut for a peticular chipset they use .
After reading at many forums it seems to me that the memory problems with 975x/965 chipsets are widespread across all motherboard makers. I don't know if the AMD platform is having many problems with high perfomance DDR2 memory, but at the intel side is a nightmare, and I believe is worst with the 975x than 965.
What model is your OCZ memory ??, Value Pro or Gold ??, if Value Pro, has the copper heatspreader or XTC heatspreader ?? (as mine and not even OCZ support can identify...). I am very curious because with it you don't have the reboot problem, and I do have  >:(

  • Multiple cold dtart reboot problem may be linked to Audio drivers!

    All-
I received my RMAed board (975x PUE) back 2 weeks ago as there was a problem with my board.  Re-installed everything...after afinally figuring out that no other drives but the SATA raid volume need to be in for install or raid volume will not be C:  Everything was working fine until I loaded my Audigy Gamer sound card drivers, then windows could not start-up normally.  I ripped out the card and restored windows to before the indtall.  Everything back to working.  So then I decided to install the on-board audio driver and bango!  Lot's of cold boot and reboot problems.  It usually takes 2-3 tried before windows will come up properly.  I have downloaded the latest drivers for both MSI and Realtek...problem still remains.
    Any ideas?

I have not flashed the bios and it is the on-board sound!  Any idea why cold boot and re-start take multiple tries?

The first question is, what OS is the device running?
Article ID: KB23393 How to check the model number and version of the operating system on a BlackBerry smartphone
If it is not current, then updating to a newer version would be advised as many fixes and enhancements continue to be released. If the carrier-controlled methods (on-device, LINK) do not reveal a new OS for you, then you can bypass that control via either Sachesi or AutoLoader:

What about it? I am not certain if any carrier has yet sanctioned it, but there are things called "leaks" that some folks delve into (technically, not for extensive discussion on this "official" support forum). The two methods above, if you do some digging, may reveal to you what you are seeking.

You can only use an OS package that is compatible with your specific device model and sub-model. Typically, only the -1 version of the Z10 has a separate OS package...the other packages are usually compatible with the -2, -3, and -4 models. I say "usually" and "typically" quite intentionally...it is up to you to be certain you are using a compatible OS package.
