"Date" Shown in "Overall Result"

Hi,
1) When I run a report I am getting the Date and all the other KFs in the overall result where in I should see only the Amount added up and shown.
2) When I loaded the master data and the transaction data, I could the data getting loaded multiple time(3 times) except for one master data.'
My doubt is that whether this is an issue caused because of loading data to PSA multiple times or is it due to creating DTP multiple times whenever there is an issue in loading. How do I resolve this?
3) I can see one Unassigned row in the end of the report.
4) I want to see the CustID and CustName on top of the report in 2 adjacent rows and then I should be able to see all the details of that customer below. How do I do this?

Let me explain the scenario.
I have transaction data this way. Cust->Contract->Account->Date->Units->Amount
Cust->Contract is 1:N and Contract to Account is 1:N
and one Account will have the rest of the details as 1:1.
Now, my first requirement is that i need to see the details of one customer(lets say a customerid 1). I assume we may have to use variables here. Please help me with his,
My second question is, when i trid to just pull all KFs(which has Paymnt Date as a KF) to columns, and then Contract,Account in Rows and Customer in Filer,
I get rows for all contracts with accounts and other KFs and under each KF(column) I can see the Overall result which i dont want. I want the overall result for only one KF eventhough I might have 10 KFs.
Please validate, does it mean that all KFs used in the query will automatically show the result summed up?

Problem regarding data function 'SUMGT' (Overall Result) in BEx query desig

I have created one query where I want to see the inventory data month wise. That's why at first I have placed 0calmonth (with variable) in column, secondly kept all the key figures which I want to see month wise under one structure, then placed the structure under 0calmonth in column. Now in that structure I have one key figure like 'total stock' and another global calculated key figure '% of total inventory' (='total stock' %A SUMGT 'total stock').
Now the problem is when ever I'm giving the value of month from 02.2006 to 05.2006, it is calculating the value of '% of total inventory' for every month with respect to the overall result of 'total stock' for month 05.2006.
But I want to calculate the value of '% of total inventory' for each month with respect to the overall result of 'total stock' for corresponding month.
Please suggest what I'll do now.

now i got whats the issue is.
Check aggregation properties of 'total stock'(RSD1>provide tech name of total stock>display-->aggragation tab)...
Exception aggregation would have been set to 'Last Value' with some time char as aggregation ref characteristic..
That is the reason why SUMGT (or %SUMGT) is calculating on Last value of the 0calmonth interval.
i.e if you provide 02.2006 to 07.2006, %of total inventory for every month would be with respect to value of 07.2006...

Is it possible to change the OVERALL RESULTS to TOTAL?

Hi Guys,
When we select a field and in the properties of that field select the option Always Display Results row the query displays the total for that field but the text for the total is shown as OVERALL RESULTS. Is it possible to change that to TOTAL instead of overall results?

Hi,
There is one SAP note available to change text of Result and Over all result to some other text. You can search that note in service.sap I dont have it with me.
But the yeast is if you change that it will be applicable to all the reports and it will change the text for all the reports. In order to change it at report level you may wanna use work-book. Not sure what is the solution if you are using web-templates.

Suppress Overall result (both rows and columns side and its data)

Hello all,
I need to do some settings in BEx Query Designer, so that In BEx Analyzer, I don't see 'overall result' both on 'rows' and 'column' sides
This is what I have done so far
In 'rows' section, Properties of my KF (no. Products) then 'calculation' tab 'calculate result as'=Suppress result
This way in BEx Analyzer I don't see the FIGURES/DATA for 'Result' and 'overall result' BUT 'result' and 'overall result' still exist both on rows and colum side even if there are not figures in them.
Is there any property in BEx Designer so that I don't see 'overall result' at all

selecting a characteristic, properties, Display tab, Result lines: Always Suppress
with this I don't see 'result'
but 'overall result' result exist both on 'rows' and 'column' side alongwith its data.
If I combine the above with this: selecting KF, properties, calucations, Calculate result as: Suppress result
then
I don't see the data in 'overall result' BUT 'overall result' still exist both on rows and column sides
any setting so that 'overall result' completely vanishes

No Data Shown because an error occurred while running the query

Discoverer 10gR2 using Plus on Firefox:
I have one workbook. The first sheet summarizes by Vendor. Parameters are Type, Category, Vendor (all optional) and mandatory date range.
The second sheet summarized by Vendor and Model. Parameters are Type, Category, Vendor, Model (all optional) and mandatory date range.
All parameters except the extra "Model" are shared between the sheets.
When I run the Vendor sheet, parameters pop up, I put in dates and leave the rest blank. Results display. Yeah!
When I then run the Model sheet, parameters pop up again (because it has one more parameter). Dates carry forward, leave the rest blank. I get the error No Data Shown because an error occurred while running the query. Refreshing does not help.
If I click back to the Vendor sheet, then come back to the Model sheet, no parameter screen and the query runs.
Booooo.
Have tried multiple DBs, multiple EULs, multiple underlying data sources, replacing the offending parameter with a whole new one, no difference.
Has any body run into this behavior? Is there an answer?

What about trying this. On the parameter definition, you have a section on the bottom left of the Parameters window, called "Do you want to allow different parameter values for each worksheet?". When you say in your posting that all but the Model parameter is shared, I assume you mean that you have set this section value to "Allow only one set of paratmeter values for all worksheets". Try setting this to "Allow different parameter values for each worksheet". See if that might make a difference for you. If that works, you may have to leave the option at this, as the lesser of your evils. From my limited experience, the "Allow only one set of parameter mvalues for all worksheets" is a bit flaky in how it works. So I pretty much have gone to always saying to allow different parameter values for each worksheet. Hope this helps a bit. If worse comes to worse, if you have not done so already, log a service request with support and see what they say. Good luck.

Overall result in Query designer displaying ' * ' for one kf when executing

I have a got a kf in which value ' * ' is getting displayed when i have done display overall results for one of my chars. Now what i am hoping is that this can be because there are too many records in the display and the total is too huge and that is the reason it is disaplying * in it. Please can somone guide me if there is some setting that can be done

Hi Tom,
This is because you have different unit or currency in the data record and you can not sum it if they are different unit/Currency therefore system is showing you *.
You can try NODIM(KF) and see if it is adding or try currency or unit conversion at query level so that all records in the query have same unit/currency.

URGENT : display only overall result

hi........my query to track the performance of dealer.
in the selection i've added customer creation date (user entry), customer group as Dealer, branch (user entry), division (user entry) & fiscal year varient.
the structure is:
in the row : bill-to-party
in the column : last year sale |         this year sale |          last to last year sale |
if i run this qurery in the same workbook for different creation date then i just want to see the overall result for each date range.
how can i do this? pls help........

Hi Priya,
Just remove Bill to party from Drill down, i mean no characterstics in drill down (along rows in your case) from all the sheets of workbook.
Only keep your 3 Key Figures along the cloumns.
It will just show you Overall Result. As you want overall result i dont think you need report displayed by Bill-to

Overall Result Row is not the Sum of Individual Values!

I am frustrated with a weird problem. I have an expense report in which Expense1 is shown a value of 8,126. If I drilldown by company code, the sum of the company codes is 8,235, but the "Overall Result" row is showing 8,126.
I tried drilling down by GL accounts, cost centers, profit centers, material and even currency. For all of these drilldowns the "Overall Result" row is 8,126 but the individual values sum out to be 8,235.
First I thought it could be "Zero Suppression" that is hiding some values from the display. But "Zero Suppression" was not active at all. I have checked the LISTCUBE and saw that the Expense1 should be 8,235 and not 8,126. The key figure properties "Calculate Result As" and "Calculate Single Values As" are set to "Nothing Defined" and "Use Default Direction". But still for some strange reason, the "Overall Result" row is different than the sum of individual rows. It's driving me crazy as I have ran out of ideas to figure out what's happening. Could someone help me with this? I would appreciate any input with points!

Remove the 'Suppress Zero rows/columns' from the query definition and then check the values.
Column A might have value, but for the same row column B might have zero, hence the row was not shown in the result set, but the overall result will include all such values as well, even thought it was not shown in the result set.

calculating share percentage of order quantity based on Overal result.
if given the fiscal period range in the variable(for ex 001.2006 to 009.2006) Overall result considering sum of all Order quantity data between this range.
But need to calculate share percentage based on month wise in this fiscal period range,for this regard should consider the sum of overal result in month wise.
How to calculate the month wise overall result?

Hi Hari,
You need to enable the results row for your Month char in the query. Then use a new formula with the function %CT to get the percentage share of individual values wrt to overall result of that month.

Problem in Overall Result of querie

Hello Guys,
Iu2019m in trouble and need your help.
Iu2019m creating a simple query over the Standard Material Stocks Infocube.
The requirement is to have 4 column and drill down in lines:
1 u2013 Stock quantity issued in Specific date (from begin date to end date). Key Figure 0VALSTCKQTY
2 - Column 3 divided by column 4.
3 u2013 Stock value in Specific date (from begin date to end date) Key Figure 0VALSTCKVAL
4 u2013 Stock Value issued in Specific date (from begin date to end date) Key Figure 0ISSVS_VAL
I created a condition in column 1 because I only wanted quantities > 0. After that I executed the query and noticed that the individual results were fine but the overall result was completely wrong.
I investigated and noticed that the sum of all lines was different from the result. Itu2019s happening because in column 4 I have some lines that donu2019t have quantity issued assigned. I created the condition specifically to eliminate these cases.
Basically, the system is filling the overall result with all values between the dates chosen. I changed calculations of column 4, to calculate results as total.
After this the result appeared to be fine, but the formula in column 2 continues to use the wrong values.
Do you know a way to solve this question?

Hi.
Create a calculated key figure, using a boolean to check on column one if its not 0 (so the value of the boolean will return as 1 when you got values and 0 when you got nothing) and multiply it with column 4.
Thus, in your ckf you only get values from col 4, when col 1 is not 0. If it is 0, you get 0 from col 4.
Now hide col 4 and base your calculation in col 2 on you new ckf. You can handle the division by 0, if it gives you trouble and set it to 0.
Use the condition you already have as before.

In the query result, the date present in db is shown as DD-MM-YYYY format but I want to view the complete date stamp. When I view the same data in aqua data studio, I see the complete time stamp. Please let me know if I need to do some settings in Oracle SQL Developer so that complete date is shown?

Using Query's overall result in model

Hello,
Is there a method to use overall result from a BW query in a VC model?
I need the overall result values for different KF's from the query in the model for further computation.
Have tried using a filter for "over*" from the data service output to a table/form ,but didnt work .
Also how do we combine the output of two filters from a data service and take the count of the records in that output ?I have tried combining the two filters with combine/union and then sigma operators, but not got the desired result. How exactly does combine work ,on what basis does it combine two datasets?
Any help would be most appreciated.

That is not a problem you can copy same data service 2 times. Take following example -
Consider you have Country & State in Rows & sales in Columns. Then in your query create input variable for Country & any other variable lilke month if you want. Then -
1. You will have first chart as Country wise sales which is at summerized level. You will select country from this chart & you will pass this to your second data service which is nothing but a copy of first one. (You can right click on first service & Copy Paste)
2. Then you join the output of the first chart to the variable port of the second data service. So when you select on the perticular column of the first chart (which is nothing but one country) you will get details of that country state wise break up.

I have 2 characterstics Company and Customer for which I have given the datatype as CHAR
For example I have total no of companies = 100 out of these 75 companies are Oracle Customers
Now I want to calculate 100/75*100 which give the %
Company           _____ Customer
Amro Holding     Yes
Edwards           ______Yes
AMMB s           ______ No
ATEbank           ______Yes
Sie           ______No
In the above example total no. of cos are 5 out of 5 companies only 3 are customer of Oracle . How can I count the values for the characterstic&how can this overall result data needs to be represented in the bar graph in WAD

are you r using wad 7.0 or 3.5
in 7.0 right click on the graph, edit nyou wil be in the wizard go on step 3 and try to change the series and make sure visilibility is checked
if this doesnt work then click refine and go to series and make sure show lables are checked.

Formula Based on Overall Result

I have the need to create a formula that uses the 'overall' result totals. The formula for example: Field D = A - B - C. The values of field A, B and C must be the overall result totals. I have tried using the Data function SUMGT in the formula for A, B and C, however, the results for Field D is 0. Not sure if this makes a difference or not, but field A, B and C are also created from formulas. I tried using formula collision but that did not make a difference.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I need assistance on how to do the following BEx formula please?
I have "Sales" totals per "Dealers"
example:
Dealer: Sales
A 10
B 5
C 6
Overall Result = 21
How do I create the formula in BEx if I want to divide Sales for dealer A (10) with the 'Overall Result' Sales (21)? Note,
