Lead Time calculation in process order

Hi,
I have a process order to be created of 112.6 L. i have only one phase  & one resource allocated. i have maintained my OH time as 1 H in my master recipe. now for resource i have maintained scheduling formula as ZRUNA = OH.
After creating Process order the system calculates phase timing as 1:17:44. Can anyone pls let me know how did system calculate 17 min & 44 sec extra.
Thanks & Regards,
Rohan Somji

Dear Rohan,
1.Check the length of break timings defined in the resource that is assigned in the phase.
2.Check in OPUZ whether for the process order type and plant combination whether scheduling is to include the break time also
(whether the check box for scheduling with breaks) is included.
Check and revert back.

    Hi guru's,
i have one requirement, i need to calculate and display the basic and scheduled dates & times based on the given input i.e material , plant , process order type , quantity , UOM and scheduling type ( for corresponding scheduling type user will provide either start date or finish date ) using RFC. can  u plz provide any function module for this purpose or logic for calculating the same  , as i am working on version 4.7ee .

  • Target cost calculation in Process Order based on Variance Calculation

    Hi all,
I have a question on Target cost calculation in Process Order. My understanding is, the Target Costs gets calculated when the confirmation and GR is made for the Process Order.
But if the confirmation/GR is not done, whether the target costs gets calculated for only the activity types after the Variance Calculation (KKS2).
I have two scenarios. In one, the target costs got calculated for the activity types without the confirmation/GR after the Variance calculation.
In another scenario, the target costs are not getting calculated for the activity types without the confirmation/GR if I try to do the variance calculation in KKS2.
SO i want to know which scenario is correct?
    Can anyone answer this question?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Brijesh

    Hi,
In general, the target costs are calculated once you deliver the order.
Target costs for the components and the activities are updated only once you deliver the order and the target cost for the finished product gets updated when you do the variance calculation.
Consider your scenario number 1 - you said the target costs got calculated for activity types without confirmation / GR after variance calculation.
Now, if the order is not having any status like PDLV, DLV or TECO it will not calculate the variances in the first place.
Your second scenario is correct - without GR the system does not calculate any target costs. Also it will not calculate any variances because the order status is still not DLV.

  • Lead time calculation

    Dear Gurus,
I want to calculate lead time between purchase order and goods receipt.how to do that???
    Am having some doubts.
Does the lead time links with
    Planned Delivery Time
    Goods Receipt Processing Time
Purchasing Processing Time in material master. plz explain???

    Hi,
If you create PR for a material, using MRP, then the planned delivery time would be picked up from the material master, please note that there is no source maintained yet in the PIR, so obviously that rules out planned delivery time of PIR and Vendor Master( even when u convert this P.R to P.O the planned delivery time will not change and will not be taken from the PIR)
Now if you directly create a P.O then the planned delivery time of the PIR is picked up , please note this difference.
I would recommend that you change the planned delivery time in the material, mnake it different from the planned delivery time of the PIR, and then run MRP, You will see that the planned delivery time in the PR would be based on the material planned delivery time.
Even if you assign source and convert this P.O using ME59 the PDT will not change.
Then you can try and create a P.O directly with the vendor, here you will notice that the PDT flows from the info record.
Please let me know if this addresses your concern.
Regarding your soure list issue, either you can remove the source list mandatory tick in MM or add the vendor whose PIR you are using into ME01, and it will definitely work.

  • Time elements in process order

    Hi,
Where does the system takes time elements from in a process order. After scheduling the time elements are entered in the process order. But where does the system gets the time elements from. Does the master receipi has a role to play in it?
    Thanks and Regards,

    Hi Jyoti,
It depends upon that whether you are opting for lead time or basic time scheduling.........
It can take the value from the master recipe or the material master based upon the config done ..........
Do let me know if you have any further query regarding this.........
Please reward points help if helpful.......

  • Actual Cost Calculation in Process Order

    Hi All,
I updated Standard cost of a raw material through a cost estimate and also ran cost estimate of the FIN that is using this raw material but when I am creating a Process order, it is taking the cost of this particular raw material from the previous estimate not the recent one to calculate the target cost. Can any body help me with this.
    Thanks
    MKR

    Hi Ashok,
My Valuation variants for the Costing Variant of Cost Estimate and Production order (Actual/Plan) cost calculation are in Sync to get the prices according to the price indicator in material master. But when it calculates cost for a production order, it is picking up cost from the previous period for that particular raw material. I have updated the standard cost by running the cost estimate but still its not working.
Any lead on this. This will be really appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Finish Date Calculation in Process Order

    Hi all,
I have an unique problem. I am using Backword schduling and while creating a Process Order I give a Finish Date and Create the Order. But while Saving System Overwrites with a different finish Date. I have ckecked, nowhere In house Production Time is maintained in Material master for the Material. My question is from where the system is picking this new finsih Date?
    Please give me the clue..
    Regads

    Hi,
Please check the scheduling Type when you ran MRP.
If you had used basic scheduling, then the times are picked-up from the material master. But you used Lead Time scheduling, then the times are picked from the routing.
Also, check the floats maintained in the material master.
    Hope it resolves the issue.

  • Variance Calculation In Process order

    Dear All Gurus,
We have produt cost by order.
In process order variance calculation I am gatting variance  being calculated on Input v/s output costs.
While settlement also same variance is being posted.
I want variance to be calculated target v/s Actual
    Please advice
    Thanks in advance
    Bhushan

I think in production order the variance is calculated between actual costs vs planned costs which is nothing but the input costs minus the gr coss of material produced at std costs.
    Is that happenning or not??

  • Need Automatic Lead-time scheduling in Planned Order using MD11

    All,
Our users have a requirement that when they create a planned order using MD11, they would like system to do automatic lead-time scheduling based on the "basic finish date" entered by the user. Currently the system is taking 3 days from the in-house time maintained in material master to calculate the basic start date. But users want to use the 100 days that have been maintained in the routing.
Currently users have to click on "manual scheduling" on the planned order for system to pick up 100 days from routing which is an additional step for the users. Hence users want an automatic way in which system would do lead-time schedule when they enter the basic finish date.
    Thanks,
    Swapnil

    Dear Swapnil,
In my understanding it is the standard SAP behaviour even if you have made the necessary settings in OPU5 for the planned
    order type.
If my understanding is correct, then as per this setting the MRP behaves for the particular plant and order type combination.
Whenever you create a planned order manually you have to do a detailed scheduling and then you get the production dates
for the planned order.(This might be because generally when a planned order is converted into production order the system
carries out a lead time scheduling.- Check the same and correct me if I'm wrong)
Even if you update the material master through CA97,you will not get the detailed scheduling done along with the production
dates. So you have to perform this manual activity during MD11.
What is the reason of setting the in-house production time as 3 days,if the exact production time is going to be more?
    Check and revert

  • Actual Over Head Calculation for process order

    hi!
I have created a costing sheet for  over head, which will be based on labour activity cost.
the base is labour cost for which I have given secondary cost element ( assigned in activity type for labour hours) in costing sheet and maintained over head rate for planned & actual. in credit of costing sheet for over head I have given secondary cost element with internal order.
first question is : when internal order posting will happen? I am assuming , when production order settlement is done, over head cost has to be accrued to internal order. is my assumption is correct? because in line items of internal order , i couldn't see any thing.
second question is : in process order, system is showing over head cost under planned cost, but it is showing ZERO in actual cost column. I have executed KGI2, system is not showing any senders or receivers. but when I executed KGI2 with dialog dipslay check box, system shows the calculations as per cost sheet correctly under condition value column.
Please let me know where I missed ? how to get actual over heads in process order.
in process order in cost analysis in the actual/target cost layout, system is showing the over head costs. but where as in "cost trend" layout, system is not showing over head cost.
can any one help on above points.
    regards,
    ramesh b

    Hi
Maintain the Overhead rate in KZM2 or KZZ2 as the case may be
Then execute CO43... The moment overhead is charged to Process order, it would post credit to IO

  • Wrong lead times calculated between activities

    Hi expert,
    Client has following activity flow: 1 - 1A - 1B - 2. Relationship lead times: 1- 1a: 5day, 1a- 1b: 5day, 1b- 2a: 0day, 1- 2a: 1day.
We have maintained relantionships as necessary. But lead times from activity 1 to activity 2 is still not calculated as 1 day. Lead time for actitivity 2 calculated after activity 1B.
    Please advise on solution.

  • How is lead time calculated for QM notifications

Can somebody please tell me what fields are used to calculate lead time?  It is field SUMDLZT in MCQMEL?  Is there documentation on how this is calcuated?

    MICK,
Could you give more details on the same / explain a scenario for which you need this information.
Since there has been no activity on this post for about a month , I will close this as answered , however if you still want this to be answered - mark it an unanswered and add more details to the same so that you can get more relevant answers.

  • Supplier Processing Lead Time with ASCP Unconstrained Plan

    Hi All,
Is it possible for unconstrained plan to consider supplier lead time constrained which we define in ASL?
I have defined an Unconstrained Plan & the plan is not considering Item Level , ASL Lead times & generating the planned Orders to meet demand due dates by compressing the Lead time.
Constraint option is not checked in plan options.
Appreciate your advise on this issue.
    Regards,
    Pranay Saxena

    Hi Pranay,
An unconstrained plan cannot have ANY constraint.
So it is not possible to have just the supplier lead time as constrained.
Alternatively, if that is what is your requirement, you may run a constrained EDD plan with just the material constraints enabled and the "Enforce Purchasing Lead Time" Flag checked.
If the supplier capacity is NOT set.. it will be treated like infinite..
This way you will force the engine to respect the lead times from ASL and acheive a near unconstrained plan.
Another alternative is use constrained plan as explained above and set the profile MSO: Lead Time Control to Do not Violate Minimum processing LT... in this case even the processing LTs for the MAKE items are also respected.
    Hope that helps.
