ODS data activation problem

Hi,
I have to load description from the flat file into the ODS since the ODS data needs to be a replica of the flat file.
As the description is greater than 60 CHAR, I have split the description into 3 infoobjects in the transfer rule, using the individual line routine.
After data is loaded into the ODS, the technical status as well as the total status is green, but when I activate the request for that corresponding load, the activation fails i.e. the data is present in the 'New Data' table, but it is not moving into the 'Active Data' table.
Then, I tried a different method.
I activated the setting in the ODS; 'Activate ODS object data automatically' and tried to load the same data with the same conditions to the ODS.
This time the loading failed, giving multiple errors like;
1) Value 'Absence Transactrion Dataload Failure ' (hex. '416273656E6365205472616E7361637472696F6E204461.
2) Value 'ifying days ' (hex. '696679696E672064617973 ') of characteristic Z_LDES2 contains invalid cha.
3) Activation of data records from ODS object DES3_ODS terminated.
4) System error: RSDU_ANALYZE_TABLE_ORA/ ORACLE.
5) Error getting SID for ODS object DES3_ODS.
6) Error when assigning SID (details in long text).
7) Error when assigning SID (details in long text).
Please provide a solution for this.

Thanks for the soltion.
I checked in RSRV. There were no errors.
So, I tried loading the data again. This time, I got the same error.
But when I checked the contents of the Active table of ODS, the data was loaded, although in RSMO the status was RED.
The laoding was successfull as of now, but lets hope this problem doesnt occur again.
Please help, if you have any idea regarding this problem.

Check in transaction DB02 the PSAPSEMODS
Or in alternative could be an error in the partition of the PSA related. Check in transaction RSRV the task
"Consistency Between PSA Partitions and SAP Administration Information"
You can adjust the table directly with the task in RSRV.

ODS data activation error system SAP BI 7.0

Hi Gurus,
I am carrying out full load in a standard ODS.
When I try activating the request,system is giving me the error message as given below.
No SID found for value '%' of characteristic 0COND_CURR.
I have also tried the option of transfer global settings in RSA1->source systems.
Please help in this regard.

For my requirement i changed info object 0currency -> General Tab page -> Transfer routine -> Created and written a code as follows
If result = '%' .
result = 'USD'.
endif.
This resolved my ODS data activation issue.

Data activation problem at ODS

     I am not able to load the purchasing data 2lis_02_scl (init load) in to ODS, Actually I am getting error message at data activation in ODS level.
The error messages are
1. Activation of M records from DataStore object ZP2_PSCL terminated
2. Error during confirmation of process 000001
3. Caller 09 contains an error message.
4. A caller 01, 02 or equal to or greater than 20 contains an error meesage.
5. The material PBG600 does not exist or is not activated

ODS data Activation with error BRAIN060

I have the next situation with the data activation in a ODS. The ODS have the extraction completed, but when I try to do the manual activation a error BRAIN 060 is caused:

Diagnosis
The following standard characters are valid in characteristic values as default:

Characteristic values are not allowed if they only consist of the character "#" or begin with "!". If the characteristic is compounded, this also applies to each partial key.
You are trying to load the invalid characteristic value 1. (hexidecimal representation 415944A043414C504453).

The error is the master data and the assigment SID; but the extraction did without PSA; only datatarget. With this I can´t modify the data erroneus.

Hi Jeysi,
You can make the changes in ODS. If this request is not activated yet, in this case this data is available in your New Table of the ODS. You can make the changes in this data directly in this new Table.
After doing this changes it will allow to activate this request. Also you can find this New Table in object configuration.
Or
Go to Manage of ODS -> Go to Contents TAb-> In this Button at bottom with New Data. Please go through this and make the changes in New Data.
But prior doing this changes please check / analyse the reason correctly as per business requirement. Suggest them to take care of this in future to end users.

ODS parallel activation problem.......

I startted 5 request in parallel(simultaneouly in 5 sessions) to load data in ODS , the first top 4 request have been loaded correctly and the last request(5 th from the top) has become RED after sometime , although this request also was yellow and then turned automatically to green and the current status is again RED after sometime. when I checked the IDOCS it the request is still running and is pending at the last data package for the transfer rules.
Question : Can somebody let me know if I have followed the wrong approach by loading these requests in parallel , as the last request got RED ....
what should be the solution for this problem , shall I wait for this last data paackage ... and automatically it will turn Green
Please let me know if I have done some mistake OR some action I have to taken because it is showing the same status from long time.

Check this out...
may be there is a Dead lock .. check in ur ST22 ...
and also
check the joblog of ur job and see in the job log for ur datapacket ..like ARFSTATE= sysfail/... then there must be a deadlock..
so u have to make the request red adn delete it and then load the data again..
use the first option in the Processsing TAB of the IP .. and start the load again...

Data activation problems

Hi Gurus,
I´m having some problems after upgrade to BI 7.0. We have several infocubes related to (FI-SL), the datasources are all standards except the infocube itself.
So, we are able to initialize the data load and everything goes well in terms of RSA7 and so on. But if we try to load an FULL or DELTA procedure, the packdges remain in yellow and the status shows that the whole loading procedure is done.
And after a while an time out error comes up. We have about 6 datasources from FI-SL ( F1, F2, F4..) and this problems occurs in just one of them. (F1)
I have tried to delete the infocube, re-active it...but nothing!
Any help??

Change your Characteristics length size in your Info Object Char catalog.
I think Length mis-match between your Data Source and Characteristics.

Master data avtivation problem

after loading the master data i run the attribute change run it is sucessfully compleated ,but the proble master data tables is not updated status is still in 'M' version in 0Person table

I am also facing the same problem(activation of master data) but with 0COSTCENTER. I have checked records in CSKS table in R/3 system. I could not see any M version records lying there.I have done fresh reload and ran successfully attribute change run also.

ODS Activation Problem - Error getting SID

I am facing the problem while activating the request,
"Error getting SID for ODS object xxxx.i know lot of threads are there in forum but those all are taking about while loading the data to ODS,Here i loaded the data into my first ODS(here fine) and then transferring the data to another ODS while activation of Data in second ODS i am getting problem.the second ODS checked the Bex reporting.
If masterdata not existis then it can be a problme in my first ODS but i didn't face any problem in First ODS.First ODS loaded the data from R/3 and second ODS using the datamarts.
Any ideas how to solve this problem.

From the right side window, expand u201CForeign Key relationship of reporting-relevant ODS object and SID table characteristics & Enter second ODS name, and click u201CTransferu201D
Now, click u201CExecuteu201D (Toolbar)u2026 and check whether the results displayed in green icon..
Otherwise, go back and click u201CCorrect erroru201D (Toolbar)...then try to activate second ODS

Data activation in ODS taking too long

I have loaded data into PSA. From there I have loaded this data into ODS. However, the data is not being activated. So, I have to do manual activation on it.
The problem is, I have to wait for a very long time. I started the data activation about 1 hour ago. My data records have 1.5 million lines.
In SM37 the log shows the following messages:

To improve system performance when activating data in the ODS object, you can make the following entries in Customizing under Business Information Warehouse ® General BW Settings ® ODS Object Settings:
the maximum number of parallel processes when activating data in the ODS object as when moving SIDs
the minimum number of data records for each data package when activating data in the ODS object, meaning you define the size of the data packages that are activated
the maximum wait time in seconds when activating data in the ODS object. This is the time when the main process (batch process) waits for the dialog process that is split before it classifies it as having failed.+
However, can someone advises me what would be an optimum / normal value for
1. the maximum number of parallel processes
2. the minimum number of data records for each data package
3.the maximum wait time in seconds?

The DDIC does not have an table name by /BIC/B0000103000 which the program is trying to refer, Kindly do provide me your help and input on this.

I ran the correct error but not to any avail, could you kindly guide me on this, I was previously loading data to this ODS successfully from a 300 client now I am trying to do this from an 400 client and I am facing this error.

SM37 is mainly for monitoring the back ground jobs...... both in R/3 side and BW side this is same.. just for monitoring the background jobs... fisrt by using SM36 basis people will schedule in background.. and we just identify.. which are completed and which are not completed... in SM37.
there are various status they are
PLANNED
RELEASED
CANCELLED
ACTIVE
FINISHED
READY

In Sm37 u can see the different options for background jobs, like Scheduled, released, ready,active, finished, canceled.. If u want to know the Status of the current running job, U just type the job name, user name then click execute(F8).

Error Activating the ODS data

I am facing an error while activating the data in the ODS.
The data is loading perfectly fine but when activating the ODS data the following error is coming

System error occurred (RFC call)
No confirmation for request ODSR_3ZI9DUVOMM02L1I777X5YX9QU when activating the ODS object PA_ODS1
There is no PSA for InfoSource 8PA_OA001 and source system BWPCLNT641 ( The data laod is without PSA )
This is happening after we had a BWQ refresh .
I thought this has something to do with the BASIS guys but they say they checked everything.

There were red requests in the ODS but I deleted them and tried activating the green requests , even when there are only 4 records it is not activating the data.
I checked the RESREQDONE table but I dont see these requests in there.
I checked the SM58 there I saw a lot of errors

Special character '#' ODS data upload

Hi experts!!
I have to load R/3 data from PSA to ODS. I have found problems during data load with 0postxt field (description field) because in several FI documents there is '#' inside the text field, for example: "COMPANY X FOR # SALES".
The PSA is upload fine but when the system tries to activate ODS data, it gives me an error in this register.
I have checked RSKC transaction and it is defined '#' character as a permited character:
ÇÉÀÇÊÈÏÌÅÉÒÙÁÍÓÚÑÑÈÍÌÓÒÚÙÉÈÍÌÓÒÚÙ·.'#
What else can I check?

Hi,
It may not be because of that.
SID error comes during activation of ODS because the related MD is not available for assigning SIDs.
Whenever Master Data is loaded SID's are generated for those Master Data records.
Now when you load Transaction Data these SID's will be used (for the records which use above master data values). This results in performance gain.
If Transaction Data is loaded first than the system checks for SID's. If they are not available system generate SID's. This results in a loss of performance.
Now in the case if you don't have the setting selected (Further Processing Without Master Data/Always update data, even if no master data exists for the data) system will throw error No Sids found and load will terminate.
So as a first step ensure that the related master data is loaded and Attribute change run has been triggered.
OR
Load the MD and Activate the MD (Modeling > InfoObject > Search the Infoobject > Right click > Activate Master Data)
Once you perform this you can retrigger the activation. It should work fine.
Else as a workaround you can blank out these particular values and activate.
There is also one more workaround wherein you can create the Master data entries directly in BW itself. But both the above step should be done after consulting Business and considering data volume that needs to be edited/created.
In most case once you perform the loading and activation of MD your activation should work fine when repeated.
OR
In the infopackage goto Update Tab and make the setting Update the records even if no master data exist and reload
This may work.
