Restrcting PO creation based on no of quotation

Hi,
My client has below requirement.
System should allow user to create PO provided there are minimum 3 quotations against the purchase requisition.
Have you come across such scenarios in your experience. What is best way to realise the same.
Regards,
Parth

Its not possibl in Standard.  Can be done through enhancement   BADI  ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST  .
I would suggest you to discourage them from such requirements ...  theyre impractical to sustain...  there may be soo many cases where RFQ is not required or possible..

  • Delivery Creation based on Backdate stock

    Hi
Could anyone advise the procedure to have the delivery creation based on the back dated stock.
IN DETAIIL detail The system should be able to allocate stock in sales order shedule line item based on the back date of last week (example) stock avilablity,  though today no system level inventory due to goods movement.
Appreciated if could advise in detail.
    Regards
    RG

    Provide with an example.
At present system checks the stock which is posted in backdate,
To determine confirmed delivery date, Backward scheduling performed first , if not derived the req del date, then system does forward scheduling- which is a std functionality

  • Block sales order creation based on material qty

    Hi,
In my scenario i want to block the sales order creation based on material qty , how i can do this?
    Example:
Material qty below 100 = able to create sales order
Material qty above 100 = not able to create SO
    Thanks,
    Arun

    Hi
For restricting the order if it is less than a specified qty, you can maintain the 'min order qty' in material master.
But your requirement is the other way round - Restrict order if it is more than specified qty.
In this case, you need to use the following sales order exit  in progran MV45AFZZ
    u2022     USEREXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT_PREPARE
Use this user exit to make certain changes or checks immediately before saving a document. It is the last possibility for changing or checking a document before posting.
The user exit is carried out at the beginning of the FORM routine BELEG_SICHERN.
    Hope this helps.

  • Automatic lot creation based on time Frequency

    Hi,
For 01 inspection incoming inspection ,
F or  certified vendors, without inspection , material is getting posted to UUS without lot creation. ( QI info record settings).
but for this case , business requirement is to get automatic lot creation based on time like 6 months once .
Automatic lot to be created for this certified vendor on time frequency basis. how to trigger this Lot creation based on time.
    Help.
    VV.

    Hi,
In std SAP we dont have option of generating Automatic lot creation based on periodic basis. But we can provide some workaround soultion.
    Option 1:
USe Source Insepction concept. Here Inspection lot will be created for every P.O. Here u can relase P.O line items in QI07 which can sceduled in Job planning on periodic basis. Use Skip inspection lot concept to skip unwanted lots. This has direct relation with Q-Info record.
    Option 2:
U can generate automatic lot creation based on Stability study concept. Here are the following steps
    Initiate Stablility study
    Create Initial sample
    Perform intial test
    Confirm initail sample
    stability planning
    Define storage condition
    create testing schedule
    store stability sample
    define cycle start
    schedule
    complete stability study.
    Option 3:
To get Automatic lot creation u can use BAPI QPL1_INSPECTION_LOT_CREATE . When a due date come for inspection,it created a lot of 01 / Z-01 inspection type automatically through QA01( call the program ,enter the inspection lot origin & material, vendor & save). Create Z-T code which has vendor material plant combination.
Execute the above T-code based on Periodic basis.
Explore above 3 options and choose best one according to ur requirements.

  • Unable to block creation of sales document from Quotation thru user status

    Dear Experts,
I have maintained a status profile in my Quotation document through the use of user status. I have defined a status to forbid creation of sales document if the status has not yet been set to "Approved".
However, even when the status is not yet "Approved", it still allows me to create subsequent sales document from this Quotation.
Anything that I have missed here?

    Hi,
    It should not happen.
Please check the Object types for which the status profile is created. It should be for either Sales Order header or Sales order Item.
Make sure that the "create sales document" is "forbiddden" for the initial status only.
Also please check Low- High numbers for each status.
    Hope this helps.

  • Inspection type 01 - inspection lot creation based on vendor batch number

    Hi Guys,
this topic has been discussed several times here, but I was not able to find a suitable answer for my question.
I am facing the folowing requirement:
I have activated inspection type 01 for a raw material.
I am receiving a firs goods receipt from vendor A with vendor batch number 0001.
The system creates its own goods receipt batch number 0546 based on internal numbering.
A new inspection lot is created.
I am posting a second goods receipt from vendor a with vendor batch 0001.
The system creates a new batch number 0547 based on internal numbering.
A new inspection lot is created.
I do not want to get the second inspection lot, because I received vendor batch 0001 before and I am assuming it has been inspected or is in inspection.
Option 1: Post the second goods receipt against the first internal batch number created.
I am aware of this need at the moment, but a user is not always checking if there is an internal batch with the same vendor received before.
Can I customize the system to create inspection lots based on the fact that the vendor batch number was received before?
Or do I have to use an exit and some ABAP code to get the wanted result?
Thanks for your advice in advance.

You need to use one of the enhancements that Do-Wook has suggested.  There is no standard SAP way to suppress the inspection based on the vendor batch number.
With the first enhancement you use the system to check for a previously received vendor batch and if one is found, then that batch number is proposed and not the next one from the numbering series.  In this case, the lot isn't created than due to the inspection lot control of the inspection type.
With the second enhancement you check the vendor batch number and if it's been received you suppress the inspection lot creation and the stock goes right to unrestricted.
You'll probably need to do one or the other.  Myself, I prefer the first enhancement.

  • Freight Unit Creation Based on Container Counts

    Dear TM Experts,
This is an sale order scenario. We have a requirement where customer needs material in either 20 foot or 40 foot or both (20 & 40 foot) containers.
In SAP ECC while creating sales order business will enter count of 20 foot or 40 foot or both (20 & 40 foot) containers are required to ship the materials in text field.
How can we use this to determine our freight unit creation for all above 3 scenarios.
    1. complete material is required in 20 foot containers
    2. complete material is required in 40 foot containers
    3. partial material is required in 20 foot and remaining in 40 foot containers
I do not have any clue how can we meet this requirements.
can any one please guide me how to meet this requirements.
    1. Can we make use of text field of sale order while defining condition rules to determine the FUBR
    2. I believe text field of sale order do not flow to SAP TM while creating a OBTR. For such situations can i enhance the sale order VA01 to maintain count of 20 foot & 40 foot in ecc while creating a sale order. Using this enhanced field i will enhance SAP ECC & SAP TM Interface structure to capture data from ecc & get to SAP TM system
    3. For above situation do i need to make use of Conditions, Condition Types and Data Access Definitions?
    4. Can we determine a more then FUBR rule for creating the FU's against single OBTR
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Md.Rafi

    HI,
I hope your Issue can be solved using the Condition type & Scale settings.
I.e Maintain your Freight condition type settings to calculate based on Volume (cal type).
Now if you want different price bands based on volume then you can use the concept of scales.
Maintain the scale settings Such as Scale basis, scale type etc.
    Hope it helps.

  • Delivery creation based on Customer Preferred Days

    Hi,
We are on SAP 4.7 version.
My requirement is to have delivery create date (i.e. schedule line date) to be based on certain specific days of the week. For example one customer picks up their goods on Wednesdays only. I want all deliveries due before wednesday to be created on wednesday. These days are specific by customer. I therefore cannot set up shipping point calendars.
How can this be achieved ?
I tried, Unloading points -- calendar assignment in customer master. It does not help is determining the schedule line date. I only get a warning message saying "customer will accept delivery on dd/mm/yyyy".
    Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ron

    Hi,
You should be able to do it via route scheduling - I haven't used it myself yet, but see an extract below from SAP Help about Route Scheduling. In Route Scheduling you can specify by customer what dates and times the customer can receive a shipment. The system does backward scheduling based on the date and time that the customer can receive the shipment, and the delivery creation date should be based on the route schedule. The key is to ensure that the route schedule is used to determine the delivery creation date. Like i said, i havent done this before, but it is worth investigating.
    =================================================================================================
    Processing a Route Schedule
    Implementation Options
Wholesale trade customers and stores can receive goods at regular intervals. These delivery rhythms have an influence on the workload in the warehouse. To help delivery planning, the route schedule serves as a tool for planning regular, repetitive customer deliveries on a particular route. At the time of planning, potential deliveries that have not yet been created are grouped in the route schedule. When the deliveries are created, the system can automatically determine a route schedule and assign it to the delivery. All deliveries with the same route schedule and the same date can be processed together in the shipping point. All these deliveries leave the shipping point together at a particular time. They are distributed along the same geographical route.
    · Deliveries for route schedule MO10H leave the shipping on Mondays at 10:00 in the direction of Philadelphia.
    · Deliveries for route schedule MO10M leave the shipping point on Mondays at 10:00 in the direction of Boston.
    · Deliveries for route schedule MO10S leave the shipping point on Mondays at 10:00 in the direction of New York.
You can print picking lists for all deliveries that belong to route schedules MO10H - MO10S together.
Maintenance of the itinerary should be uniform for all the route schedules used. To ensure exact planning, maintain the itinerary for all the route schedules. If rough planning is sufficient in this case, you do not need to maintain the itinerary for a route schedule.
If you do not define any goods accepted times in the customer master for the unloading points of the ship-to party, the system assumes that the goods acceptance is possible at any time. The system determines the delivery time from the departure time in the route schedule plus the required traveling time to the ship-to party, as set in the itinerary (specific move time). This delivery time must be within the goods acceptance time of the unloading point of the ship-to party. If not, the respective route schedule is not determined during delivery creation.
For more information on route schedules, refer to the Implementation Guide (IMG) under Route Schedules.

    Hi Seniors
I am new to PM/QM module and facing an issue while configuring UD code follow-up actions.
My requirement is once the Valution Code is set to "Rejected" in UD code then follow-up action should be generated and in this follow up action, couple of actions should take place :
    1. Set the equipment status (QFOA_OBJECT_STATUS_SET). It is happening
    2. Set the order status to TECO (QFOA_ORDER_TECHNICAL_COMPLETE). It is also happening
    3. Creation of a Notification so that based on that notification, corresponding order followed with PR/PO to be created for procuring of the equipment.
I have also maintained PM notification type (which I want to auto create during inspection lot recording) in SPRO for respective  inspection type level then also notification is not getting generated automatically.
I am not able to find out the way how to address Pt. No. 3. Kindly help
    Thanks

If ud code is Accept then system not allow to post stock in block stock and if ud code is reject then system not allow to post stock in unrestricted.
Dear this can be achieved through UD code itself  please check the assigned stock proposal to the ud code in QS51.
    QS51 -> catalog 3, plant.
Look at the ud codes -> Here you can find a posting proposal for the UD.

  • Multiple Idocs creation based on source conditions

    Dear All,
I have to create multiple idocs from the source idoc based on the line litems ie if my source Idocs has 5 line items so 5 different idocs to be generated at target.
I am able to process upto this stage.
Now my requirement is that target Idocs is to be generated based on different plants available in the source idoc line items. I need to trigger a single idoc for the line items having same plant.
    S.No   Line Item No  Plant
    1         00010            8200
    2.        00020            7800
    3.        00030            7800
    4.        00040            8200
    5.        00050            2100
So, for the above case total 3 Idocs needs to be generated at the target.
Kindly suggest me how the mapping is to be done which can filter out the plants at line items and creates the no of target idocs.
    Regards,
    NJ

    just a samll pointer...
    you can use
    plant>sort>splitbyvalue(valuechange)->collapse context ..
this will create the plant Queue as
    2100
    7800
    8200

  • Ideas for Dynamic Dashboard creation based on exchange rates

    Hi,
There is a query to create dahboard for revenue details from various accounts (various sales companies with various currancies). The C-level executive would also like to view a consolidated graph (dashboard) for all comapnies with the options to select display currency as per his choice (USD/EUR/GBP etc) and the data would change according to the day's exchange rates (maintained in SAP C4C).
Now while a report can be made in which we give selection parameter based absolute parameter & exchange rate pick up date, the same is required at dashboard level to reduce the number of clicks & for ease of executive.
Can the experts guide me on creating such a dashboard...
    Regards,
    Rahul

    hi Rahul,
With the current capabilities in the dashboard, you cannot pass a selection criteria. This is something on our list as a planned future capability.
In the meanwhile, if you can arrive at the main two or three currencies that the C-level user is interested in using for monitoring analytics, then you can create multiple variants for each of the reports for each currency and create multiple dashboards enabling the respective variants for each dashboard. Its not the most optimal, but you could have one dashboard per currency and the user can just switch via the dropdown to view the dashboard in the next currency of interest.
    Hope this helps.
